Cement bonded particle board. Cement particle board - characteristics of the material, application in construction and finishing. Processing rules - what you can use to saw and drill CBPB boards

High performance and technical specifications CSP (cement particle board): its dimensions, weight, cost and other physical characteristics have pushed this building material to the TOP of the ranking of demand in modern construction technologies. For any standard sizes of CBPB, the technical characteristics make them universal in use, since the working composition includes small wood shavings or large sawdust, and high-quality cement with additives that level out harmful reactions between the components. The production and use of CBPB in residential construction is environmentally safe. The production itself is based on the mineralization of substances, so harmful emissions into the atmosphere are excluded.

Characteristics of DSP

The manufacturing technology consists of forming a three-layer base of cement and shavings. Large chips are pressed inside using a high-pressure hydraulic press. Ready-made cement particle boards have a solid structure that does not delaminate or crack under various external influences.

IN construction industry cement bonded particle board, the characteristics of which make it possible to replace products such as plasterboard, chipboard, plywood and other sheet building materials, is suitable for cladding the external or internal walls of buildings, it is used to line columns, it is used as a screed for a subfloor or flat roof, screen ventilated facades.

Upon registration individual order DSP products with original characteristics are used to manufacture DSP products of free sizes, for example, length 3050 mm, 3780 mm, etc. The width also changes at the request of the customer, and the thickness remains standard, indicated in the size table. DSP boards, panels and sheets can be used in construction:

  1. In the construction of prefabricated housing;
  2. For arranging permanent formwork;
  3. When finishing facades, including ventilated ones;
  4. In interior decoration, including for the arrangement of partitions, floors and ceilings;
  5. In the construction of fences.

Slab certification and composition components

Most small size The thickness of the slabs is 4 mm; accordingly, the weight of such products allows them to be used in high-rise buildings. The production of ultra-thin CBPBs has been mastered in order to reduce the cost of the product, since thin sheets, manufactured using modern technologies, do not need to be brought to the required quality using grinding equipment.

There are also embossed boards with a smooth surface - they contain finely dispersed substances. Such slabs are used to decorate facades “under facing brick"or "natural stone". Embossed sheets do not need to be further treated with special substances or primers, painted or sanded - they are ready for installation immediately after purchase.

When laying DSP sheets on the floor, there is no need to finish the resulting surface - it will be smooth enough to lay linoleum on it or paint it. Before painting, it is recommended (but not necessary) to prime the cement-bonded particle board or open it with a special water-repellent composition. Appearance Such slabs will meet any design requirements.

It is important to carry out high-quality and correct installation sheets so that during operation they do not become loose, warp or begin to peel, which will reduce their service life. This is especially true for outdoor conditions DSP applications slabs

The wide range of applications of DSP is due to the competitive cost of this building material. Despite low price, the quality of the products does not suffer, allowing the use of DSP in any conditions to solve a wide range of problems. So, when laying DSP boards as a subfloor, they will also serve as an additional layer of thermal insulation, in addition to a strong and durable base for a decorative floor covering.

Installation and finishing work of DSP

Before using CBPB slabs in construction, they must be delivered to the construction site, and this is done only on the edge. The sheets are stored horizontally and secured to the installation site in at least 3 places with press washers, for which holes must first be drilled. One of the disadvantages of cement-bonded particle boards is fragility, so they should be handled carefully.

The easiest way to finish slabs is by painting them with silicone, acrylic, or water-based paints. When installing between adjacent slabs, it is necessary to leave air gap 2-3 mm to compensate for the expansion of products with changes in temperature and air humidity. The air-tight and smooth surface of the slabs allows the application of protective paint without prior priming of the surface, on the side of the slab on which the cement layer is located.

Joints and gaps between slabs cannot be puttied; it is permissible to use sealant to mask the seams, since it does not crack from exposure to precipitation and temperature. It is also recommended to seal seams and joints wooden slats or metal strips

The finishing of DSP walls is facilitated by their absolutely smooth bottom surface. Panels mounted outside or inside the house can be finished by plastering, painting, laying porcelain stoneware or tiles, wallpapering, laying linoleum, laminate, carpet, etc.

In the building materials market, cement particle board, whose technical characteristics compete with traditional materials, costs almost the same as other board products, depending on the dimensions, weight of the product and the volume of the order.

To decorate the walls of a house, they often use the technique of decorating with red or finishing bricks. Such an exterior of a private house will give the home respectability with minimal financial and labor investments.

Construction modern buildings requires more and more advanced, universal, high-quality and inexpensive materials. One of the latest developments in this direction is CBPB, which can roughly be called an improved version of particle boards.

Cement particle board as a building material

Cement particle board, which appeared on the building materials market relatively recently, has already been appreciated by many developers. Thanks to excellent operational characteristics, with its help, dry installation of structures is carried out in buildings for various purposes.

DSPs are manufactured using the pressing method. Hardwood shavings (its share is 24%) are mineralized under the influence of special hydration additives (2.5%), after which Portland cement (65%) and water (8.5%) are added to it. As a result, a monolithic smooth slab emerges from the press, consisting of several layers with large fractions on the inside and small ones on the outside.

Types and characteristics

There are 3 types of DSP:

  • fiberboardthermal insulation material based on long-fiber shavings (“wood wool”). Soft, easy to process, resistant to biological factors;
  • wood concrete– made from sawdust and small shavings. It has a wide range of applications (thermal insulation, finishing, material for wall partitions, etc.);
  • xylolite(slab and cast). Has high strength, thermal insulation qualities and a wide range color solutions, used as flooring.

Due to their water absorption, the slabs increase in size, so when installing, a gap is required between them

Pros and cons of slabs

The high popularity of DSPs is explained by their many advantages:

  • if the installation was carried out in accordance with the technology requirements, The service life of the slabs can reach 50 years. Research results have shown that the material does not lose its beneficial properties even after repeated cycles of freezing and thawing. The boards also showed high resistance to moisture, fire and biological factors;
  • multilayer structure provides high strength characteristics of the DSP for tension and compression, which allow you to strengthen frame structures using slabs;
  • slabs are often used as insulation, which is explained by their good heat and sound insulation qualities;
  • processing the material is not particularly difficult. He easy to drill and cut, its flat surface is excellent for applying putty, plaster and adhesive compositions, due to which the slabs are successfully used in the design of premises;
  • exact dimensions of the slabs significantly speed up the installation process;
  • the front side of the DSP can have not only a flat, but also a corrugated surface. This ensures a variety of room design;
  • ecological cleanliness;
  • relatively low cost.

There are significantly fewer disadvantages of cement-bonded particle boards:

  • heavy weight material(about 14.5 kg per square meter), which significantly complicates the installation process. This is explained high density DSP (up to 1400 kg per cubic meter);
  • low strength indicators bending, which sometimes leads to breakage of the slabs.

Scope of application

These slabs are used in large and private construction. Houses are built from them, utility rooms, used indoors and outdoors and even made into furniture. The thinnest slabs (from 10 to 16 mm thick) are used for cladding the internal and external walls of buildings for various purposes. For fastening, it is necessary to first make a sheathing made of wood or metal profile. In addition to aesthetic This design can also serve thermal insulation purposes.. In this case, the space between the DSP and the wall is filled with insulation. This method is often used to modernize old buildings. Its advantages are simplicity and relative low cost. The permissible gap between the plates is up to 1 cm. The joints are sealed and overlays are attached over them.
The same DSP (up to 16 mm) also used for making internal partitions . Thanks to high performance moisture resistance, they are often installed in bathrooms and other similar rooms. The slabs are pre-primed, the surface and edges are treated with water-repellent materials. They are also used to produce balcony railings, cladding for fire-resistant doors, etc.

From the best varieties DSP can even make furniture

From DSP from 12 to 24 mm perform permanent formwork for foundations in low-rise construction. The high strength of the slabs prevents their deformation when pouring the mortar. Another advantage of the design is its simplicity. If the DSP is painted or covered with a waterproof material, they can serve as vertical waterproofing.
Window sills made of cement-fiber boards fit perfectly into any interior. They have all the advantages of wood products, but at the same time they are much cheaper. The thickness of the slabs used for the production of window sill boards is 24-36 mm. They are not subject to deformation, durable, monolithic and affordable.
When arranging floors Cement particle boards successfully replace chipboards. If a floor made of CBPB is laid on logs, then the distance between them should be within 60 cm, and their cross-section should be at least 5x8 cm. CBPB from 16 to 36 mm in thickness can act as a base, underlying, leveling or finishing layer with a front finishing. In some cases they are used instead cement screed, as well as during the construction of a prefabricated floor on bulk soils (cement board slabs for floors with a thickness of 24-36 mm).
A base for soft roof . For this work, 16-24 mm slabs are used.

Installation methods

DSPs can be mounted in various ways depending on the purpose for which they are used. When finishing or insulating buildings, they are attached to the sheathing, made of metal profiles or wooden blocks, with self-tapping bolts or nails. Arrangement permanent formwork also implies erection of the frame (given the large weight of the slabs, it, like the sheathing when finishing the walls, must be strong enough). In addition, the slabs can be laid on joists (when installing the floor) or rafters (under roof covering). For interior decoration they are also can be attached to the wall with mortar or mastic.

Release form and cost

DSP is sold in sheets packaged in bundles. Panel thickness varies from 8 to 36 mm. Dimensions can be (in mm): 2700x1250, 3200x1200, 3200x1250 and 3600x1200. The number of sheets in a pack depends on the dimensions.
The cost is set per square meter or per sheet. In the first case, it depends only on the thickness, in the second - on all panel parameters. The sizes of CBPB slabs for walls differ from those used for floors, but the price is approximately the same. Price square meter 8mm DSP different sellers starts from 150-250 rubles. The most massive slab (36 mm) will cost about 4-5 times more.
According to their own beneficial properties(except, perhaps, only for the weight) DSP is in no way inferior to its wooden counterparts and even surpasses them. And the versatility of the material combined with affordable price make it an almost ideal choice for construction and finishing work.

The construction of a house from fiber board in a month is described in this video:

Traditional methods of house construction and building decoration that have been used for centuries are gradually losing their relevance. Modern construction technologies focused on new materials with high performance, structural and environmental properties.

One of these materials is CSP - cement bonded particle board. It appeared on the Russian market not so long ago, but the prospects for its use on the scale of domestic housing construction seem quite significant.

Finishing the facade with DSP boards - photo

DSP are monolithic sheet slabs with a density of up to 1400 kg/m3 and a thickness of up to 35 mm, having upper layer very smooth, with a given hardness. These products are in great demand in increasingly popular technological methods, when all wet operations are eliminated if possible and the so-called “dry type installation” is performed. The quality of these board products is regulated by GOST 26816-86, as well as by the regulatory document EN 635-2EU, adopted in the territorial space of the European Community.

DSP boards - sizes, types, characteristics

DSP is an indispensable material for the construction of new mixed-use facilities and renovation of old buildings. DSP sheets do not put a load on bearing structures and walls. Also, particle-cement composites are used as construction material, which is used to enhance the rigidity of elements. Without the use of CSP, it is impossible to carry out low-rise construction: cement-bonded particle boards are used as formwork in solid and strip foundations, thereby significantly reducing the time, labor costs and complexity of installation, since the DSP does not cause deformations during pouring, as well as during the hardening period of the concrete mixture.

Cement particle board allows you to forget about such labor-intensive operations as preparation and mixing cement mortar, plastering wall surfaces, as well as their leveling. Due to the smoothness of DSP sheets from technological process operations of preliminary puttying of the slab surface are eliminated, so they can be immediately used for priming and painting.

Production technology and component composition

What is included in the functional composite DSP:

  • Portland cement grade not lower than M-500 - 65%;
  • wood shavings from industrial wood waste coniferous species – 24 %;
  • mineral additives in the form of aluminum sulfate or chloride – 3%;
  • liquid glass – 2 %;
  • water – 6%.

Important! When purchasing cement-bonded particle boards for finishing the façade of an individual mansion, you should give preference to those types of cement-bonded particle boards that contain liquid glass. DSP sheets with this additive in the set of initial components are indifferent to humidity, temperature changes, and precipitation.

The production technology of this functional material is quite simple:

  • a certain volume of needle crushed wood shavings is placed in the drum;
  • minerals are added to it;
  • Portland cement, liquid glass and water are also introduced there;
  • as a result of intensive mixing, a homogeneous mass is obtained;
  • the slab is formed from several floorings: in the middle of the slab there is a layer with a large fraction of chips, which determines the level of its strength. External floorings contain finely crushed shavings, which give an even surface of high smoothness;
  • the workpiece is processed on a press;
  • After this, the semi-finished product is transported along a conveyor belt into the hardening chamber.

The resulting products are cement-bonded particle boards of a monolithic structure that are not subject to delamination. A significant advantage obtained in this way technologically The composite is the absolute absence of emissions of harmful volatile substances, since the boards contain no thermoplastic resins, glue and other synthetic components.

Performance properties of cement bonded particle boards

Functionality:

Strength.

The exceptional bending and tensile strength of CBPB is due to their production technology: press pressure, heat contribute to the creation of a monolith that can withstand significant loads. During deforming bending, the strength of the material changes by no more than 10%.

Machinability.

DSP sheets can be sawed, cut, drilled, sanded, milled using various tools:

  • circular saw;
  • Bulgarians;
  • metal drill.

Prices for angle grinders (grinders)

Angle grinders (grinders)

Moisture resistance.

The mineral components in the material, as well as the smooth surface of the board, make the CBPB practically impervious to moisture in all its forms. However, there is still a small degree of swelling: when immersed in water for a day, it swells by only 2%. That is why, during the construction of buildings, small gaps are provided between the slabs. A smooth surface promotes rapid evaporation of water, which is why DSP sheets are used for the construction of moisture-resistant walls, hygiene rooms and sanitary facilities in public buildings.

Environmental friendliness.

Cement particle boards are absolutely harmless to environment, they do not contain phenols, formaldehyde compounds, they do not contain carcinogenic impurities or toxic substances. Sheets of slabs do not accumulate electrical charges.

Fire resistance.

DSP is a low-flammable and low-flammable substance. Even if a fire does occur, the flame spreads very inactively, being localized at the source of the fire. When smoking, no toxic substances are released.

Resistance to low temperatures.

Frost resistance of DSP is one of the highest. Measurements showed that the destruction of the composite occurs only after fifty flexion-extension cycles. In percentage terms, this is no more than 10%, which confirms the high performance properties of the material at low temperatures. This is especially true when carrying out construction in Arctic regions, Far North, Siberia and the Urals.

Biostability.

Sheets of cement particle boards are not subject to rotting, the destructive effects of mold and fungal structures due to the antiseptic compound - calcium hydroxide. A concentrated alkaline environment of the material is formed during the production cycle, so CBPB is avoided by gnawing animals.

Harmonious union: DSP panels for exterior home decoration

Before you begin installing panels made of cement bonded particle boards, you need to decide on the thickness of the material and its dimensions. Sheet parameters according to standard:

  • length from 3200 to 3600 mm;
  • width – from 1200 to 1250 mm.

The thickness of the material in the matter of exterior finishing comes to the fore due to its significance. Here it is necessary to take into account the required wind and heat protection, the load on the slab and at the same time the load created by the material on the building frame.

  • frame house construction - 14-35 mm;
  • floors in draft-10 mm;
  • window sills, canopies, slopes - 18 mm - 30 mm;
  • permanent foundation formwork - 14 mm -20 mm;
  • partitions, walls - 14 - 18 mm.

On a scale frame construction walls various rooms are made mainly from slabs with a cross-sectional size from 12 to 40 mm, and on the outside they take a sheet thickness from 16 to 24-28 mm. For installation of DSP for the facade of the house it is better to take a sheet of 16, or at least 18 mm: it does not break under acceptable impact and does not create an excessive load on the frame base of the building.

Installation of DSP panels on the facade of a house

Before you begin installing panels on a frame house, you need to think about insulation buildings. Typically, in climatic conditions Russian Federation During the installation of DSP panels on the façade of a house, insulation is used in accordance with the climatic conditions of the area where the house is being built.

Choice of insulation

The most suitable heat shields are used as different kinds insulation material:

Each type of insulation has its own positive sides and some disadvantages. Compared to insulating materials of natural origin, for example, flax production waste, their advantages are obvious: they are more effective in retaining heat inside the building.

Important! If you have chosen non-flammable as insulation mineral wool, then it is better to purchase cotton wool in slabs rather than in rolls: it does not cake when placed vertically.

So, the insulation has been purchased, now it’s time to start installing the DSP panels. Doing it yourself is not at all difficult if you follow the instructions and meticulously follow all the instructions.

Prices for various types of insulation

Various types of insulation

Step-by-step instructions for installing DSP panels on the façade of an individual house

Step 1. We form the sheathing along the entire outer wall space.

Mount on all walls using a level reliable system fastenings in a vertical direction, capable of withstanding the serious load that will be created by the CBPB slabs. Elements of the lathing system can be wooden, for example, from timber measuring 50x50, or metal in the form of pipes rectangular section 50x20 or metal profiles. The distance between adjacent elements is at least 60 cm. The vertical direction must be maintained flawlessly, then installation of the DSP panels can be carried out without problems.

Step 2. Laying insulation.

Important! Calculation of the required volume of purchase of this façade component must be made separately, depending on the area of the walls and the type of thermal insulation.

We distribute the insulation over the entire wall space, laying it between the verticals of the sheathing. The insulation must be attached to the wall with self-tapping screws of the required length.

Step 3. Adding a windproof membrane.

As soon as the building is insulated, it comes into play windproof membrane, which is applied over the insulation to the entire wall space. It also needs to be securely fixed in place. During this stage of work, you need to pay attention to the fact that the difference between the plane of the membrane and the plane of the already installed insulation should be at least 2 cm.

Prices for windproof membranes

Windproof membrane

Important! The ventilation gap must not be neglected! If you do not leave it, then there is a high probability that condensation will accumulate inside, which will ultimately lead to rotting of the frame.

Step 4. We drill holes for fasteners in the sheathing.

We prepare holes for fasteners.

Step 5. Installation of panels made of cement bonded particle boards.

Let's start installing the DSP panels. The step between fasteners should not be less than 30 cm and more than 60 cm, and the gap between adjacent plates should not be more than 5 mm. A gap is left in case of deformations that occur during temperature changes or during movements of soil layers.

In order to avoid cracking of the DSP sheets from the fasteners, the screws must be tightened at a distance of 1 cm from the edge of the slab. The same principle is used to cover decorative columns, load-bearing supports and crossbars.

Important! It is not recommended to install cement building slabs in a row along the entire perimeter of the building. Installation of the panels must be done in stages, separately on each wall. Only after the installation of cement-bonded particle boards on one wall space has been completed can you proceed to the next wall.

Step 6. Grouting joints between slabs.

After the building shrinks, the seams between the sheets of cement-bonded particle boards can be rubbed with any means intended for this purpose or decorated as appearance accents.

Step 7 Final decorative finishing walls

After installation work finished, you need to start decorating the walls. In this matter, each owner is guided only by his own aesthetic preferences, because cement-bonded particle boards provide an incredible variety of choices. Houses lined with DSP panels can be painted, treated with tinting compounds, and finished facade plaster or add to the facade fake diamond. Or maybe it’s worth designing the architectural appearance of the new building in the Russian style? Then you need to glue unique design elements to the walls of the house that imitate wooden carvings - blind, through, overhead.

Thanks to its use in construction work modern materials, in particular, cement particle boards, the house will be warm, durable, fire-resistant, and have excellent soundproofing properties. And it's also very beautiful! Finishing individual households with cement particle boards allows you to create your own unique architectural appearance of any home, any village, any city!

Video - Sheathing the frame of a house with DSP

Cement particle board (CPB) is a universal sheet building material. It is made from crushed wood shavings and Portland cement with the addition of special substances that reduce the harmful effects of one material on another.

The technological process of its production looks like this: a three-layer “carpet” is formed from the raw material mass prepared in the mixer (small chips are placed in the outer layer, large ones inside).

Along the conveyor line it goes to Hydraulic Press, where it is subjected to molding under high pressure. The result is a perfectly smooth multilayer slab.

The use of cement bonded particle board in construction is extensive: it is used for cladding walls both indoors and outdoors, for cladding columns, as a screed for flat roof and floors, and also serves as an external screen for ventilated facades.

Today, DSP has become a serious competitor to building materials such as fiberboard, plywood and plasterboard.

Specifications, pros and cons

  • density - 1100-1400 kg/m3;
  • weight of a standard sheet (2700x1250x16mm) – 73 kg;
  • elasticity (for compression and bending - 2500 MPa; for tension - 3000 MPa; for shear - 1200 MPa);
  • change in linear dimensions after 24 hours of exposure to water (thickness - 2%; length - 0.3%);
  • sound insulation ability - 45 dB;
  • thermal conductivity - 0.26 W/m °C;
  • flammability group - G1 (low flammability);
  • service life (in a dry room) – 50 years.

Like all building materials, cement particle board has its pros and cons.

DSP is an environmentally friendly material that does not contain toxic substances such as phenol and formaldehyde. In addition, this material:

  • - frost-resistant;
  • - fire resistant;
  • - moisture resistant;
  • - soundproofing;
  • - non-rotting (due to the calcium hydroxide contained in the slab, the development of fungus and mold is excluded);
  • — resistant to longitudinal deformation (can be used for cladding the frame of multi-story buildings);
  • — well combined with wood, metal, polymers;
  • - easy to process (can be cut, sawed, drilled).
  • — technologically easy to install (facilitates construction and does not require extra costs);
  • — suitable for all types of finishing (plaster, wallpaper, tiles, painting).
  • — the large weight and size complicates the installation of cement bonded particle board on the upper floors of the building; special lifting mechanisms are required;
  • - relatively short service life (with active contact with external environment- 15 years).

Standard sizes of CBPB sheet:

  • length – 2700, 3200, 3600 mm;
  • width – 1200, 1250 mm;
  • thickness – 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 24 mm (can reach up to 36 mm);

The weight of the sheets varies from 36.5 to 194.5 kg depending on the size of the sheet.

DSP boards are manufactured according to GOST 26816.

Features of installation and finishing of DSP

The slabs should be stored only in a horizontal position, and transported on their edges. The sheet must be secured in at least three points with self-tapping screws, having previously drilled holes for them on a hard surface. The recommended sheet thickness for vertical cladding is 16-20 mm.

You need to work with cement particle board carefully (the large weight and area of the sheet make it fragile).

The easiest way to finish DSP boards is to paint them with acrylic or silicone-based compounds, leaving deformation gaps between adjacent sheets. Since the surface of this material is smooth and non-porous, paint can be applied without prior priming (on the cement side of the sheet).

The use of putty to seal joints is not allowed. A good option To “camouflage” the seams, a sealant is used - this material does not crack, expanding and contracting when exposed to precipitation.

In addition, you can close the joining seams with metal or wooden strips.

DSP boards are one of the the best materials to prepare the base and create a perfectly smooth surface for finishing. It is equally suitable for both outdoor and interior work taking into account the subsequent application of materials such as plaster, paint, ceramic tile, wallpaper, linoleum, laminate, carpet, etc.

Compared to analogues, the cost of cement bonded particle boards is quite competitive. It depends on the size and quantity of the material ordered. On average, sellers ask 700-900 rubles for a standard sheet (2700x1250 mm, thickness 10 mm).

Approximate prices for slabs of other “running” sizes look like this:

  • 2700x1250x12 mm - 800-1100 rub.
  • 2700x1250x16 mm - 1000-1200 rub.
  • 2700x1250x20 mm - 1200-1400 rub.

Sheets 3200 mm long will be more expensive by an average of 5-10%.

From the point of view of practicality and design it is very interesting finishing façade with DSP slabs imitating brick. It gives the building a presentable appearance with a minimum of labor costs. The price of such panels measuring 3200x1200x10 mm is 2200-2600 rubles.

You can make sure that you have chosen this material correctly by reading reviews from those who have already used CBPB sheets for repairs and construction. Practical experience And important nuances handling them will be very useful to you.

Being universal building material, cement bonded particle board successfully used in modern construction when carrying out internal and external work. The products contain natural wood, but are in many ways superior to other analogues (chipboard, OSB), since their positive properties do not end with excellent sound and heat insulation. DSP sheets have high strength, fire resistance and the absence of shrinkage processes.

The production of CBPB consists of the following stages:

The smooth surface of the slab is obtained due to the special distribution of chips in its structure - larger fragments are located inside the product, and small ones are on the surface. During the production of CBPBs, there are no voids in them. Another advantage is that the product does not require additional leveling, but can be immediately used to make a subfloor and serve as a high-quality, even base for laminate, tiles and other types of finishing coating.

To understand what it is cement board , it is necessary to consider its composition. Cement particle board is a multicomponent sheet building material made from Portland cement and wood chips. Besides, internal composition products are supplemented with special chemical additives to enhance the relationship between the main components. The proximity of cement and natural wood under normal conditions does not lead to positive results, since cement causes excessive moisture in the wood, warping and rotting.

Additives are added to the composition of the DSP for leveling negative impacts cement for wood, their amount is 2.5−3% of the total volume. In addition, they enhance the heat and fire resistance of the material. Due to the fact that cement predominates in the slab composition, it has high strength, frost resistance, soundproofing qualities, vapor permeability and biological passivity - it is of no interest to either insects or rodents.

Cement particle board, application which is absolutely safe, thanks to “pure” chemical additives, it is not afraid of the formation of fungus, exposure to moisture, and is not afraid of thermal shrinkage. And thanks to its high adhesion, DSP is compatible with many finishing materials.

Specifications

DSP board, technical characteristics and application which is possible in many areas, is produced at several enterprises in Russia, which allows them to maintain a single size range:

  1. The slabs can have a length of 2.7−3.2 m. Three-meter products are most in demand.
  2. The width size is strictly set at 1.25 m, which serves as the main guideline when installing sheathing for cladding surfaces of DSP boards.
  3. In terms of thickness, the most popular products are 10, 16 and 20 mm. In general, the thickness of cement bonded particle boards varies from 8 to 36 mm.

When choosing a material, it is worth considering that its thickness directly affects the weight of the product.

Pros and cons of the material

From positive qualities The DSP can be noted as follows:

Disadvantages of the material include heavy weight and significant dust formation when processing slabs. Cutting slabs should be carried out using tools personal protection- glasses and respirator.

Types of DSP

DSPs have several varieties:
