In this article:

Throughout the history of mankind, numbers have been of interest not only to mathematicians, but also to esotericists of all stripes. The magic of numbers studies the occult, metaphysical meaning of numbers and considers the possibilities of applying this knowledge in witchcraft.

The properties of numbers were still studied by the followers of Pythagoras, and it was they who rose to the first step of this esoteric teaching. In Islam, numbers were considered as the fundamental principle of all existing sciences, culture and arts, and the adherents of Kabbalah were convinced that numbers are the basis of the entire universe.

An interesting fact is that even people who are far from witchcraft and esotericism have their favorite and unloved, happy and unlucky numbers. Gamblers are often very superstitious, and therefore try to create their own unique methods of finding out the lucky number, for example, the number that the roulette arrow will point to. Even university students resort to the simplest methods of fortune telling to find out which ticket number they come across.

The magic of numbers

Number is the most mysterious and the easiest abstraction for human understanding. Thousands of numerologists around the world study the vibrations characteristic of each individual number, which indicate the influence of this number on the fate of a person and his character.

Modern Western numerology works in the same direction as the students of Pythagoras. They operate only with single-digit numbers obtained as a result of natural addition. For example, to estimate the vibrations of 13, they add up the individual numbers 1 and 3, and get 4. When adding larger numbers, the addition is performed until a single digit is obtained, for example, considering the number 666, first add three sixes and get the result - 18, and then add 1 and 8 to get a nine. This is the magic of modern numbers.

On the basis of the natural addition of numerology, numbers are obtained that affect the person himself and his role in the world around him.

The resulting figure can tell about the capabilities and desires of a person.

If we understand what influence the vibrations of individual numbers have on our life, we can greatly facilitate our own life, get rid of possible mistakes, better understand ourselves and the whole world around us, learn to distinguish useful from harmful, etc.

The magic of numbers in the minds of people

Years zero have become very significant for numerologists all over the world, since for the first time in a thousand years, three identical numbers appeared in dates. Many had high hopes for July 7, 2007, because the date formed the number 777, which is considered extremely successful and happy in many cultures and traditions. Others feared the date 06.06.06, because according to some canons, the Antichrist could be born on this day.

The last significant date of this millennium was the twelfth of December 2012, which formed the number 12.12.12. If you add up all the prime numbers in this date, you can get a nine, which is considered a lucky and lucky number. But in order to more accurately understand the symbolism of this date, the numerologist must look much deeper and work in a different direction.

The first thing to do with this number is to review its full version, namely 12/12/2012. Yes, this date does not look so pretty, but when added, it gives a different number - 11. In many traditions, the number 11 carries a sacred meaning and it is customary to consider it in its entirety, and not add it up. This number is sometimes referred to as the master number.

This date has a unique energy, on this day people could discover new talents, magical abilities were manifested that allowed a person to influence the whole world around him.

To be the defender of the Fatherland is the main man's duty
Whatever the history of the appearance of the holiday on February 23, it was and remains the main holiday of Russians ready to defend their country / Cycle "Our Russian Victories"

Among the 17 officially established Days of Military Glory of Russia and 35 military professional holidays, the date of February 23 occupies a special place. It does not matter when and which of the representatives of many military professions celebrates "their" day, and it does not matter which country's army - the Muscovy, the Russian Empire or the USSR - won a resounding and important victory on one date or another. All these events are linked by the same concept: the defense of the Fatherland. And therefore, Defender of the Fatherland Day is the same national holiday as Victory Day on May 9. After all, if there were no defenders, we would not have a Fatherland, because these two concepts are inextricably linked. Probably, it was precisely this consideration that guided the leaders of Russia when in 1995 they made the decision to rename the holiday. Indeed, in the minds of Russians, February 23 has long ceased to be the day when it was necessary to congratulate only the military, and only the Soviet army and the Navy. The whole country celebrated this holiday as a kind of "men's day", thereby emphasizing that for a Russian man there is no more important and significant role than being the defender of the Fatherland.

Therefore, by and large, it is not so important how exactly the date of February 23 was chosen almost a century ago. In Soviet traditional historiography, it was argued for a long time that on this day the newly formed Red Army won its first victory, defeating German troops near Pskov. Although this version was formally refuted back in 1962, when the following lines appeared in the textbook on the history of the CPSU: “The days of the mobilization of the revolutionary forces of the people and the heroic defense of the conquests of the October Socialist Revolution by the Red Army from the invasion of the hordes of German imperialism became the birthdays of the Red Army. In memory of this great feat of the Armed Forces of the Soviet people, February 23 is annually celebrated in the Soviet country as the Day of the Red Army. "

Indeed, if you examine the history of the date of February 23, you will quickly find information that on this day in 1918, from which the countdown is being carried out, the famous appeal of the Council of People's Commissars "The Socialist Fatherland is in Danger" was published. There are no news reports, telegrams or notes in the newspapers of that time about the slightest noticeable battles and, moreover, the victories of the Red Army soldiers. But for the current name, February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day - the publication of an appeal, in which the word "Fatherland" became the main thing, more than a weighty basis.

And if the event outline of the day on February 23, 1918 to this day remains insufficiently studied (including because a considerable part of the researchers of the last quarter of a century, unfortunately, not so much studying the materials as looking for evidence of the meaninglessness of the holiday), then the history of the celebration itself this date is much more obvious. On January 10, 1919, the All-Russian Central Executive Committee - a kind of first Soviet parliament - received a proposal from the chairman of the Supreme Military Inspectorate of the Red Army Nikolai Podvoisky to celebrate the anniversary of the Red Army on January 28. Alas, in the stream of papers that filled up the All-Russian Central Executive Committee at that hot time, the proposal got lost: it was considered only on January 23, when it was already too late to declare the holiday. We decided to combine the celebrations with the Day of the Red Gift - February 17, and since it was Monday, we moved everything to the next Sunday, February 23.

We celebrated the anniversary of the Red Army, as was customary at that time, with numerous rallies: there was no time to arrange a feast, and there was nothing to do. After that, for three years they did not remember the holiday at all: the Civil War interfered. And only when active hostilities in the territory of the former Russian Empire began to decline, they decided to renew the tradition of celebrating the birthday of the Red Army. On January 27, 1922, a resolution of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee Presidium was issued, which spoke of the "upcoming anniversary of the creation of the Red Army (February 23)." And the first major celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the Red Army, as this holiday began to be officially called, took place a year later: in 1923, the first, five-year anniversary of the Red Army was celebrated.

Ten years later, when the Red Army was already celebrating its 15th birthday, the People's Commissar for Military and Naval Affairs Kliment Voroshilov admitted at a solemn meeting on this occasion that “the timing of the historical dates ". But the date has already been set and has become familiar - as, indeed, it most often happens with the holidays. And whatever ideological grounds may be found to confirm or refute this date, for Russia and its citizens it is impossible to imagine February without a professional "men's" holiday, reminding all Russian men that their main task in life is to defend the Fatherland.

However, this, perhaps, the most fair name for the holiday celebrated on February 23, did not appear immediately. From 1919 to 1946 it was the Day of the Red Army, it is also the day of the Red Army. After a year after the Victory a new name appeared for the armed forces of the USSR - the Soviet Army - the holiday was also renamed: it became known as the Day of the Soviet Army and Navy. The holiday had this name until 1992, having outlived the state that gave birth to it - the Soviet Union. In 1993, 1994 and 1995, the country celebrated the Day of the Russian Army: Decree No. 32-FZ "On the Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates of Russia" was signed by the country's first President Boris Yeltsin only on March 13, 1995.

Since then, Defender of the Fatherland Day has no longer changed its name, although it has named its status. Being a "men's holiday", it remained a festive day until 2002, but at the same time a working day - which caused irony among Russians who do not understand why International Women's Day on March 8 is a day off. By the way, this date February 23 is related not only to the gender introduced by the Russians. Until 1918, until Russia switched to the Gregorian calendar, International Women's Day was celebrated in it ... yes, it was February 23! Because the difference of 13 days gives just such a match.

The number 23 hides the influence of two and three, which have a significant impact on a person. Deuce gives the ability to cooperate with other people, endows with faith in good deeds, symbolizes trust and spiritual purity.

The troika, in turn, adds cheerfulness to this cocktail, the ability to laugh at one's mistakes, the ability not to despair in the most difficult times. She gives career growth, endless expansion of interests and opportunities, the ability to unravel the most complex and intricate mysteries.

Significance in the culture of nations, mystical properties

The sum of two and three gives rise to a five, the influence of which on a person's character is amplified several times. Many experts are sure that this figure hides secret knowledge that a spiritually developed person can use.

The number 23 is found in the rituals of many beliefs: among the Illuminati, Maya Indians, ancient Chinese. Among the Indians, this number is associated with the end of the existence of planet Earth. In addition, the influence of numbers is clearly visible in human biology. 23 pairs of chromosomes are passed on to their child by each of the parents, in the upper limbs there is exactly the same number of movable elements, and the spine consists of twenty-three cartilages.

However, they rarely listen to other people's advice and gain experience through their own mistakes. Such persons are predisposed to philosophy and spiritual practices. They diligently avoid physical labor and violence: these shortcomings are more than compensated for by mental strength. Carriers of twenty-three never forget about their promises and return the borrowed money on time. You can do business with them and open joint ventures.

Negative impact on character

Negative qualities are manifested in spiritually weak people. These include increased aggressiveness, a hot-tempered character, exorbitant ambition and a desire to concentrate all power in their own hands. A low level of spiritual development is reflected in monetary relations. Such people are interested in material benefits: there can be no question of any charity or gratuitous assistance.

February 23: Defender of the Fatherland DayMen's Day... It has its roots associated with the Great Patriotic War, but this holiday, oddly enough, was transformed into a holiday of the day of men and became a somewhat strange counterpart to Women's Day on March 8. On February 23, women and sometimes men celebrate important people in their lives - fathers, brothers, teachers, husbands, colleagues, friends, sons. The equivalent of Defender of the Fatherland Day is Father's Day in other Western countries, and this holiday did not exist in Russia.

History of the holiday Defender of the Fatherland Day

Defender of the Fatherland Day, or Men's Day is a truly Russian offspring. Initially, this holiday was associated with the date of the creation of the Red Army in 1918 and was known as the Day of the Red Army, and then the Soviet Army and the Day of the Navy. In 2002, it received its current name - Defender of the Fatherland Day. President V.V. Putin declared it an official day off. Although some societies of feminists could find a problem in the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, although for them it is more like Men's Day, this problem is not global and does not in any way carry any insult or disrespect. Despite the fact that initially Defender of the Fatherland Day meant congratulating all people who somehow related to wars and hostilities, however, even if men were not involved in the war, this date is very important and carries respect for all men countries, especially in the day February 23... This is partly due to the celebration of Women's Day, because this holiday is quite popular in Russia and cannot be celebrated on March 8 and not celebrated on February 23. After all, Men's Day is a way to recognize that men and women are both important to each other. But by virtue of history, the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day is held for the minds of people on a smaller scale than Women's Day, but celebrations and parades are much more prevalent on Men's Day.

How is February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day celebrated?

When it comes to public ceremonies, private celebrations of Defender of the Fatherland Day are largely unrelated to military successes, and an important person in life does not need to be a soldier to receive congratulations. February 23 girls give various gifts to important and beloved men for them. These gifts, just like on Women's Day, can be purely symbolic, or they can be quite expensive or personal. Flowers and chocolate are usually not given to anyone on this day. Very often women prepare a festive dinner at home, although on March 8 it is more common for couples to go out somewhere.

Holiday on February 23 in a working environment

Most of the offices and workplaces are closed on February 23 because Defender of the Fatherland Day is a day off. Usually, many companies celebrate Men's Day either before or after the holiday itself. Men usually receive small gifts and everyone celebrates with a glass of champagne and a slice of cake. As a rule, colleagues do not buy gifts for each other, the exception is very close friendship.
