Design of a small studio 24 sq. m. What is it

Many designers agree that the most effective way Decorative elements can change the surrounding space and give it exclusivity.

Paintings

Stands

The same hot dishes are rearranged from time to time on surfaces that you really don’t want to damage. Textile, wooden, bamboo or plastic stands will save furniture from characteristic marks and serve as a decoration for the kitchen.

Textile

Tablecloths, napkins, lambrequins, curtains, chair pads - this textile ensemble defines the mood of the kitchen and serves practical purposes.

Small floral prints on gentle background will fit rustic styles, fabrics with shiny monograms and fringes are classic. But checkered textiles are universal and can be used in completely opposite directions.

Curtains

Curtains tend to change the environment much more significantly than you think. They take up most of the wall and definitely affect the mood and atmosphere. You have 3 options:

  • improve old curtains with accessories;
  • purchase new curtains from a different fabric;
  • get curtains of a different model.

Tiebacks, clips, fringe, ruffles or edging can all give familiar curtains a completely new look.

Curtains with photo printing are another refreshing element designed to become the main highlight of the interior. Moreover, the image is applied to any model of curtains.

Roller blinds, Roman curtains, cafe curtains, stained glass curtains - they are all compact and free up the window sill for flowers, kitchen utensils or your beloved cat. Roman and roll models are universal and suitable for modern and classic styles. The other two varieties will be more appropriate in soft romantic or rustic styles.

A miniature curtain-skirt will replace the cabinet doors and play the role of a cozy decoration.

Lambrequin

If for one reason or another you decide to give up curtains, but have not yet decided what to do with the cornice, decorate it with a lambrequin. This antique palace camouflage of cornices will add charm to both the window opening and the kitchen as a whole.

The color of the lambrequin will complement the furniture upholstery, kitchen apron, and other interior elements in creating color harmony.

Digital photo frame

The implementation of this kitchen decor idea requires the presence of two objects - a free outlet and the device itself. The role of the latter is quite suitable for the old iPad, which only works from a wall outlet.

Thanks to a photo slideshow, you will more often remember the pleasant moments of life. And if instead of photos the slideshow contains words with translation and voiceover, you will learn a foreign language faster.

Patchwork

The patchwork technique is becoming increasingly popular and is confidently expanding its position. Today, patchwork is not only a fabric sewn from scraps of different fabrics, but also a style of wall or floor ceramic tiles.

This kitchen idea gives you the chance to win three times because you:

  • choose the tiles yourself, creating unique combinations;
  • you get decor that doesn’t take up extra space;
  • You can save on materials by purchasing remnants of the collection.

Textiles in the Patchwork style are a less radical change, because with them you can make the kitchen colorful and avant-garde from time to time. Curtains, tablecloth, carpet, chair pads or towels - each of these details will make the interior brighter and more unusual.

The main thing in patchwork is not to overdo it, otherwise the room will turn out to be too colorful. This technique looks best against the backdrop of monochrome interiors.

Artificial fruits

If the season for fresh fruits and vegetables is still far away, create a pleasant illusion for yourself with imitations made of wax, plastic or fabric with foam rubber.
But when the season is in full swing, they will be a good reminder to replenish supplies.

Figurines

Even a small thing brings its own energy to the room, and connoisseurs of figurines will agree with this. Each of them carries its own set of emotions and symbolism.

Joy, abundance, grace, love - all this is combined together in a ceramic, iron or glass thing.

If the lyrical worldview is alien to you, pay attention to a variety of piggy banks.

Masks

Wall masks do not necessarily have to look intimidating and repulsive, although such ones are in demand.

They can convey sophistication, femininity and whimsical forms.

Do you want to change your look every day or become your favorite movie character? Surround yourself with magical masks that will facilitate this transformation!

Vinyl stickers

Vinyl stickers today are one of the most available ways transform the room and add personality to it. Unusual silhouettes, recognizable designs, and various inscriptions can add variety to any interior design.

The stickers are durable, affordable, and easy to maintain.

Decorative film

An even more compact “analog” of curtains is window film, which is glued directly to the glass. Films can be sunscreen, mirror, with photo printing, drawings or stained glass.

Compared to curtains, they do not take up any space at all, do not fade from the sun, preserve the microclimate of the room and protect the glass from damage.

A film with a three-dimensional image will replace a nondescript city landscape with an endless field or sea expanses.

If desired, glazed furniture facades can also be covered with film.

Original lighting items

Designer chandelier, extraordinary lampshades, pendants or wall sconces will bring completely new lighting, glare and, accordingly, mood to your kitchen.

Vase or jug

A stylish designer vase, like a jug, is a beautiful and necessary item in every kitchen. How is it that you don’t need a vase? Is this a reason not to give flowers? Where should we put them then?

Wreath or garland

The hottest peppers, garlic, spices and dried fruits are ideal materials for healthy, and even edible, decoration.

There is only one minus - not everyone will like to spoil the composition by tearing off parts to add to dishes.

LED Strip Light

A modern solution that serves as both decor and an opportunity to save energy.

Post LED strip You can use it anywhere - under the top tier of a kitchen unit to illuminate the work surface, along the perimeter of the floor, ceiling, mirror or sofa. Thanks to RGB color lighting, you can choose the color of your evening kitchen lighting depending on your mood.

Carpet

The fact that carpets make a room more comfortable and can also surprise with their colors and shapes is undeniable. But will it come in handy in the kitchen? Of course, if:

  • you have a cold tiled floor;
  • you dropped something fragile;
  • you need to disguise the floor covering that has lost its appearance;
  • you want to separate dining area from the worker;
  • It makes sense for additional sound insulation.

Frame "Art-pin"

What is also called express sculptor or 3D memory is essentially framed nails, which once again confirms the direct relationship between simplicity and genius. How is it useful? In addition to fingerprints of absolutely any objects, you will test your knowledge of the language of generally accepted signs by exchanging messages with other family members.

Are you ever going to get creative? Start small, because before you is an ever-renewing canvas.

Plus, an art pin is a wonderful educational and, most importantly, distracting object for a child, which will come in handy while you are heating up his food.

The music of wind

Windmill Wooden or iron tubes, bells, feathers and other ringing and rustling objects that create one composition are also called windmill. This is one of the Feng Shui symbols, designed to protect the home and bring good luck. However, some are inclined to believe that wind music has nothing to do with ancient Chinese teachings.

If you are an amateur oriental style or just melodious ringing and the drafts that create it, this decor will be ideal for you. And for connoisseurs of the practical side of things, the wind chime hanging at front door, will signal the arrival of guests.

Original fittings

Even such a small thing as cabinet handles can decorate and radically transform the interior! Large beads or children's hairpins with flowers instead of boring, ordinary cabinet handles are a lovely decor that changes the look of the set as a whole.

Do it yourself

If you want to decorate your kitchen unique decor, which you definitely won’t see from anyone else - make it yourself. Here are a few ideas for the kitchen that can be easily implemented at home:

  • Homemade or painted wall plates.
  • Bottles, vases, jars for tea and cereals wrapped in threads.
  • Cross stitch, cutwork, macrame, crocheted or knitted napkins and chair covers.
  • Trivets for hot pots made from grapevines, paper, matches or dried cyperus stems.
  • A mosaic of fragments of plates, cups and saucers will decorate a kitchen apron, table or window.
  • Decor made from dough or...
  • A wooden round stand or lid for infusing tea.
  • A panel of acorns, cones and others that you can make together with your child.
  • Pockets of old bags or jeans for a ladle, grinder and other utensils. If they don't fit, open the bottom seam of the pocket.
  • Painting or painting the facades of kitchen units, refrigerators, window frames and door jambs.
  • Beautiful branches covered with copper, silver, gold varnish, bright paint or artificial snow made of polystyrene foam. In eco-interiors, a simple, untreated twig can become both decor and a towel rack.
  • Bottles with cereals, spices, berries and seasonings, stacked in layers. Corn, chili peppers, small beans, colorful leaves, peas, lentils and others can participate.
  • Paper lanterns - make every day a holiday.
  • Origami - paper figurines of animals, birds, fish, insects and flowers - an interesting decor and wonderful family leisure.
  • Old CDs are great material for decoration. kitchen apron, window frames, paintings, mirrors, and almost any object.

Among the variety of decor ideas, you can easily choose the option that suits your taste. Everyone can find a solution with which your room can become more vibrant, cheerful, and extraordinary.

Big big room– decoration of any apartment. How to plan the interior if this is the only room? This article will answer exactly this question. We will consider the design of a room of 20 sq. m and 17 sq. m.

The dimensions are taken arbitrarily; if the area is slightly larger or smaller than indicated, our advice will also be useful to you. You will need to carefully measure everything and model the room on a drawing or monitor screen to make sure that the proposed solution will fit in the area under consideration.

An incomplete partition is an excellent solution for zoning

Plasterboard partition – great way zoning 20- meter room.

It will also fit into the design of a room of 24 square meters or more, allowing you to get two small rooms, without separating them from each other by a full-fledged wall.

There are several options for organizing space depending on the purpose of the room that it will serve.

Study

If you often work at home, it's best to set aside a space for this. A separate corner will help you get ready for work and will protect you from being distracted by other residents. It is not necessary to make the partition solid; holes in it will give the rest of the family a sense of your presence.

Advice! If the partition does not completely separate the zones, it is better to decorate them in the same style, adhering to the same color scheme.

Dining room

With this layout appearance partitions should attract the eye. The trio of partitions made of plasterboard panels With cellular content(they are a little lighter than usual). Acrylic paint, similar to the one that will help achieve the desired color brightness.

Separating the dining room using a partition

Advice! You can attach a TV bracket to the inside of the partition.

Living room

Unfortunately, if you have a room of 17 meters, a design of this type may not be suitable. In more spacious apartments This solution is one of the most successful.

The bottom line is that at the border of the regions it is established tall cabinet to the ceiling. At the same time, its back part is sewn up with a sheet of plasterboard and takes on the function of a wall. Thus, in the area to which the back of the cabinet faces, it seems as if there is simply no cabinet.

Architectural zoning methods

If the construction of a partition seems too cumbersome and large-scale to you, or it simply does not fit into the design of a 17-meter room, you can use lightweight techniques.

Design zoning methods

The design of a 17 sq. m room with designer zoning will look no less interesting.

Let's look at the most interesting methods:

Now all you have to do is choose a technique that will help organize the space based on area and preferences.

Summing up

We hope our article was useful to you. In order to more accurately understand the technological and practical issue, our website provides detailed photo and video instructions in which you will find useful information on this issue.

Austrian designer with Israeli roots, Sam ben Hamida, sent us photographs and his description of the design of a 24 sq.m apartment, which he recently completed in the capital of Austria, Vienna.

Let's get straight to the point and listen to the author himself of the tiny apartment design project:

I've always lived in small apartments since college. Because of my passion for individuality in the development of furniture and interior design, while still studying at the Vienna University of Technology, a real passion flared up in me, creating small apartments suitable for a full life.

A fascinating task appeared before me, with a total area of 24 sq.m., with a living room of 15 sq.m., and the remaining square meters went to the kitchen and bathroom adjacent to the living room. The steps for creating a design project can be divided into 7 stages.

No. 1. Exact floor plan

If you know in advance that you happen to live in a small apartment in which every square meter is worth its weight in gold, you need to know it exact dimensions and have a floor plan. Therefore, it is very important to measure the length, height and width of not only the room, but also architectural details: doors and windows. Then it will be easier for you to navigate when choosing furniture.

No. 2. 3D and 4D sketch

Try to imagine how your furniture will look in your future space. (for clarity, it is better to make a 3D picture, which you can make yourself, using, or contacting a design studio.)

Also important is thinking about how furniture is used throughout the day (a 4D dimension called “time”). The most important priorities need to be set:

  • What do you do most often?
  • what do you do?

And based on the answers received, choose the most necessary items.

No. 3. Hide everything

In the era of electronics, our houses are simply packed household appliances and accordingly suffer from the cables of these devices. In small apartments, this should not be allowed. Today, there are many cable hiding systems that will help give your apartment a neater look.

No. 4. Color selection

Despite the fact that traditionally it is customary to use light shades, many modern designers, advise the owners of such premises to use their favorite colors in the design, surrounded by which you feel comfortable living.

No. 5. Lots of functionality

Little ones one-room apartments have one main room in which everything needs to be done: living room, bedroom and sometimes kitchen. Therefore, there is a need to divide the room into several separate zones and use multifunctional furniture.

In my design project, all pieces of furniture except corner sofa, are equipped with wheels, so they can be easily moved. It seemed to me not practical to use a static partition between the work area and the living room - bedroom, in a room with an area of 15 sq.m.

Therefore, to separate the zones, I decided to use a movable shelving unit. This allows you to quickly hide work area when guests arrive.

No. 6. Avoid central lighting

Although many people think that for a 15-meter room, one will be enough ceiling lamp in the center, in our case this will make the room even smaller. We need to organize Various types lighting for each zone. In the living room, you can turn on multi-colored LEDs above the sofa, and in the corner there is a table lamp.

The shelving is also equipped with LED lighting. The working area is illuminated using table lamp on a long, mobile “leg”.

P.S. Sweet home

In conclusion, I would like to say that the longer you live in an apartment, the more it becomes a part of you. Therefore, I tried to invest in the design of an apartment of 24 sq.m., all the best that I know and can do.

Alla Bondareva, 34 years old

Bought with my husband three-room apartment 66m2, it required serious repairs, so we decided to turn to a professional company. Friends recommended us the Repair Studio, paid attention to meeting deadlines and good prices. We found her website on the Internet, studied it thoroughly and eventually called the Studio. We had our own idea of the apartment after renovation, which we told the foreman, and then received advice from him. After the renovation, the apartment looked like we wanted, the workers turned out to be good guys and did the renovation conscientiously. We are especially glad that the repairs did not take too long, the company met the deadline and fortunately the cost did not increase) It is very pleasant that the workers cleaned up after the work and left the apartment clean. As a result, I was left with a very good impression from the renovation in general and from the employees of the Repair Studio, I recommend it to everyone.

Evgeniy Plotnikov, 52 years old

A few months ago I renovated my two-room apartment at the Studio Repairs company, I was pleased, the renovation was beautiful! Ordered major renovation, I really hoped that I didn’t make a mistake with the company. Special thanks to foreman Alexander for his help in selecting materials, now I understand a little about it. He suggested where you can save money and vice versa, where it is better to spend a little more money, but the repair will be more durable. I also didn't have to walk all day construction stores, the materials were chosen via the Internet, the company then delivered everything itself, so I saved time and effort. When the renovations in the kitchen and bathroom were completed, I realized that the work was done well and all the worries were over. On the downside, I saw an error at the end, but the workers immediately corrected it without any further discussion. In the end, my two-room apartment looked great, thanks to the Repair Studio!

Andrey Gorin, 36 years old

Svetlana Kuznetsova, 40 years old

I thank the company Repair Studio for beautiful apartment. I am writing briefly, I am very pleased with the quality of the work, and most importantly, the company managed to complete the repairs on time. I planned to rent out the apartment, so I needed to freshen it up and ordered redecorating. I myself spent a long time choosing a company mainly based on reviews, so I want to note that Studio Repair is a good option.

Arina Alekseeva, 31 years old

I am writing a review about the Renovation Studio six months after the apartment was renovated. We did a turnkey renovation of a 2-room apartment. When I was looking for a company, I took into account the most important factors for me: price, possibility of installments (!), good feedback and examples of work. I reviewed many sites, good and not so good, and finally chose several companies. Then I called them, clarified the prices, and settled on the Repair Studio. After drawing up an estimate, we decided to arrange an installment plan, which was very convenient for us. As the renovation progressed, we decided to remodel, combining the kitchen with the living room; we had been dreaming about this for a long time)) although the cost of the renovation increased after that, the result was amazing!

IN lately Studio apartments have become fashionable, where one room is separated from another not by doors, but by visual zoning of space. Oh so interesting layout many owners dream too standard apartments, and although it is impossible to demolish everything load-bearing walls By making, for example, a studio apartment from a Khrushchev-era building, but by combining two rooms together, you can get an original space.

You can combine a toilet with a bathroom, a dressing room with a bedroom, an office with a living room - there are many options! Today we will talk about combining the kitchen and living room into one, because these two rooms are in perfect harmony with each other.

Combining the kitchen with the living room is very serious decision Of course, such a room has a lot of advantages, but there are also several small disadvantages that may influence your decision.

It’s one thing when you own an apartment where the architects planned to combine these two zones, usually in such buildings the functionality of both components of a given area is carefully thought out, and quite another thing if you are thinking about demolishing the wall separating the kitchen from the living room, in this case it is quite possible for you you will have to face some difficulties.

Let's discuss the advantages of the kitchen-living room:

  • The main pleasant thing about having a combined cooking and relaxation area is that you can communicate with guests and household members without interrupting the cooking process.
  • When you combine these two rooms, you will get a spacious and free room.
  • Combined functional zones in the interior of an apartment are now particularly popular. In this way, you can turn an ordinary old apartment into an object of universal admiration.

In addition to a number of pleasant moments, there are also several negative nuances in such a room.

Let's look at them:

  1. Due to the fact that there is no dividing wall between the living room and the kitchen, when cooking, the living room area will also be filled with, not always pleasant, aromas of food. To solve this problem as much as possible, take care to install a good hood and ventilation system.
  2. Cleaning the living room will have to be done as often as the kitchen. Since fumes and splashes of fats and fumes can spread throughout the open space.
  3. Everyone present in the living area will see the entire process of your cooking, so if you like to cook alone, then this option is not suitable for you.
  4. If you combine the hall and living room area yourself, it is quite possible that you will have to move the gas point.

When remodeling an apartment yourself, be sure to make sure that the wall you are going to demolish is not load-bearing and coordinate your decision with the relevant authorities. Otherwise, such a change in your interior can become a big threat to others, or even bring you problems with the law.

If you bought an apartment where 24 were originally combined square meters, then make the most of the space provided to you and give free rein to your imagination, but when artificially combining the kitchen and living room, carefully weigh the pros and cons.

Modern kitchen-living room: zoning of space

The main question that arises when decorating a kitchen-living room is: “How to delimit the space so that both zones look stylish and organic?” It is very important to determine where each part is located while maintaining the integrity of the room.

There are many options for dividing the seating area and the cooking area, let's look at the most popular of them:

  • Zoning using lighting fixtures one of the most common options. Individual lighting can be installed in the living room and kitchen part of the room.
  • Another option for visually separating the kitchen and living room is the design of the floor of each zone, different materials.
  • You can also use the ceiling to divide space; the most popular options for these purposes are tension and suspended structures. However, there are more original materials for ceiling decoration.
  • The walls in both zones of such a room can be of different colors.
  • Also often used to separate the kitchen and living room plasterboard partitions interesting shapes, but it is important to preserve the main highlight of such premises, so that plasterboard construction blocked a small part of the space, and another was clearly visible from one area.

The ideal furniture for separating the kitchen and living room is the bar counter; it does not block the view at all, looks very stylish and perfectly zones the space.

As you can see, in order to zone the space in the kitchen-living room with an area of 24 square meters. m, you don’t have to spend too much effort and time. Trust your taste and you will get a room in which every minute you spend will give you pleasure.

Kitchen-living room 24 sq. m: design and photo of finishing

When you've done all the main things construction works, demolished the walls or reproduced the partition from plasterboard, you can start decorating the kitchen-living room. Although 24 square meters is quite a lot for one room, do not forget that you need to fit two functional areas into this space. That's why main task when finishing the kitchen-living room, is visual extension and space distribution.

Keep in mind that you should have enough free space so that you can cook comfortably in the kitchen, but you shouldn’t deprive yourself of free space in the living room, where a lot of people might gather.

Let's talk about the main finishing positions:

  1. If you want to visually expand the space, do not use it in wall decoration. dark colors, opt for a pastel palette that can be combined with bright accents in some areas of the room. For example, you can make a kitchen backsplash from black or burgundy tiles. If you decide to delimit the space using wall decoration different textures, consider what function a particular zone performs. For the kitchen, materials that cannot be washed are not suitable, and tiles will not provide comfort for the living room.
  2. Professionals offer a huge number of ceiling design options for such rooms; it can be a modern tandem of suspended and tensile structures, classic bleached or coated water-based paint ceiling or brutal surface finished with wooden or metal beams.
  3. When decorating the floors, you can use laminate or linoleum, which are perfect for both zones, or you can delimit the space with different materials, finishing the kitchen floor with tiles and the living room with parquet or carpet.

Design of a kitchen living room 24 sq. m: choosing furniture

The kitchen-living room is a place where the family gathers not only to spend time together, but also to prepare and eat food, so when choosing furniture you need to take into account all the functions of this space.

Furniture that must be present in the kitchen-living room:

  • Make sure your kitchen has a stove, sink and working surface for cutting products. Ideal option For small kitchen will be corner kitchen set. This furniture system will allow you to place all the necessary kitchen utensils without taking up extra space. Also pay attention to separate sets; you can place shelves and cabinets with drawers against the wall, and a cabinet with a stove, sink and dishwasher delimit space.
  • In the living room, organize a place to relax: placing a sofa, poufs and a wall with a place for the TV.
  • You will also need tables for both functional areas. You can put a large dining table in the kitchen and a coffee table in the living room.

If you want the kitchen to be smaller than the living room, give up dining table in the cooking area by placing such furniture in the hall.

The kitchen-living room is a stylish, fashionable and functional space that will allow you to bring all your ideas to life.
