Selection of plumbing fixtures and its placement

In a bathroom of two square meters, non-standard and/or small-sized plumbing fixtures are usually installed. If there is space left for furniture, it is usually made according to individual order. The sizes are very modest, and ready-made copies cannot be found.

Shower cabin

First of all, you need to decide whether to design a 2-meter bathroom with a bathtub or a shower. If you rarely take a bath, it is worth installing or making a shower stall. In this case, it is better to do just that, since ready-made ones, even the smallest ones, are too bulky and take up most of the available space. A homemade shower cabin is either finished with tiles (mosaics) or made of acrylic or steel, to which doors or just a shower curtain are attached.

Shower doors are a pain to install. When closed, they take up almost no space. It is also possible to install glass sliding doors, but this is an expensive option with complex installation. If the door in the bathroom is located asymmetrically - closer to one wall, you can find a bathroom non-standard shape and a size that will fit into a wide wall. With this arrangement, the sink and mirror are located opposite the door, which visually makes the room more spacious.

Another option is to install a sitz bath. You won't be able to stretch out to your full height in them, but relaxation while sitting is also not bad. In this case, you can find a place to install a small washing machine - under the sink.

Toilet

Designing a 2-meter bathroom with a toilet is an even more extreme task. After all, you need to find a place to install another item, which is difficult in such an area. Preferably, they don’t look so bulky, although installation is somewhat more complicated and the price is higher. But they take less space, which in this case is a priority.

One of the solutions in the photo above is to move the sink towards the bathtub and place a sanitary bowl in the free space. This option is suitable for narrow and long rooms. Only in this option it is possible to fit a machine, a toilet, a bathtub with a sink into two squares of space. Perhaps you can find a model that hangs on the wall above the toilet, but this is an expensive exotic.

As an option, install a shelf above the same toilet on powerful holders and install equipment on it. You will save space, but you will need a model with good stabilization so that it does not jump during the spin cycle.

The design of a 2-meter bathroom without a toilet, but with a washing machine is no different: a bathtub or shower stall, with a washbasin and machine on the free spaces. It’s good that the equipment comes in different formats: narrow and tall or shallow. In general, you can choose the size you need.

Furniture

No matter how small the bathroom is, there is still at least some furniture in it: you need to store creams, shampoos, and household chemicals somewhere.
