How to connect sewer pipes and fittings. Tilt-to-tail: connection of plastic sewer pipes. Docking with socket

Almost everyone sooner or later encounters the process of pipe installation. The installation method will depend on what material it is made of. In this article we will talk about how to connect sewer pipes– threaded, welded or socket method.

Types of sewer pipes and their connections

If previously sewer pipes were made only from metal, now on the market you can find not only cast iron, as before, but also plastic and ceramic.

Ceramic sewer pipes are made with a diameter of 150 to 600 mm and are mainly used during construction external sewerage. The main advantage is the high resistance of ceramics to aggressive groundwater. The use of ceramics in domestic construction is not common. Well, as for the connection of ceramic sewer pipes, it is similar to the connection of metal cast iron ones.

The most popular today plastic pipes are made from low polyethylene and high density, polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride. They are easy to install, light weight, as well as high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. They can be designed for both indoor and outdoor installation. They will differ not only in their diameter, but also in color. For outdoor work they will be orange color, and for internal – gray. They are most often used in domestic construction. They are used to construct drains both in kitchens and in bathrooms and baths. By the way, sooner or later you will have to deal with a clog in the sink. An article on our website will help you figure it out.

Now on the market you can find steel sewer pipes. But they are a rather rare guest in construction, since they have a low degree of corrosion resistance and are exposed to groundwater.

And to complete the analysis of the type of sewer pipes, traditional cast iron. They have excellent parameters mechanical strength and degree of corrosion resistance.

Well, what about how to connect sewer pipes? The connection can be made by welding or gluing. If you want to make a collapsible sewer system, you can connect it using fittings or flanges. Thus, flange connections are used on pipes of large diameters, because it would be inconvenient to connect them with a threaded connection. Below we will look at which of these connection methods is best suited for cast iron or PVC.

Angles for connecting sewer pipes

While creating a home sewer system with my own hands It should be remembered that to ensure its normal operation they should be laid at a slight slope. The slope should not be less than “0.02”. What does it mean? This means that if the total length of the pipeline is 1 meter, then at the ends of the pipe there should be a height difference of 2 cm.

Moreover, if the planned volume of wastewater is not large, then this slope parameter should be increased and amount to “0.03”.

In general, connection angles can be calculated on your own using the formula:

Or make everything simpler and use ready-made solutions:

Preparation

Before you begin connecting sewer pipes, certain steps must be taken. preparatory work:

  1. It is worth making sure that you have purchased all the necessary and related products and materials and that during installation it does not turn out that there is no special glue or heat-resistant gloves;
  2. Mark the location of communications, prepare the work area and outline a location plan for yourself;
  3. According to the placement plan, proceed to marking the workpieces and cutting them. To avoid wasting unnecessary material, cut the workpieces from larger to smaller sizes;
  4. In order to make it possible to join the pipes as conveniently as possible, the cutting areas should be cleaned of any burrs that have appeared, wiped off from possible contamination, and also degreased;
  5. If you have to connect metal pipes, then they need to be threaded internally or externally.

How to connect metal sewer pipes

You can connect metal sewer pipes using one of these methods - welding and installation in a socket. Installation in a socket is usually used when connecting cast iron, while welded joints are used when connecting steel.

Connection of cast iron pipes

As mentioned earlier, they are connected using sockets. The sequence of such installation is as follows:

  1. That side cast iron pipe, which is without a socket, must be inserted into the socket of the already installed one.
  2. The gap between the inner edges of the sockets and the mounted tail side of the pipe should be sealed with flax tow. To do this, using a prepared special wooden spatula, hitting it with a hammer, hammer the wound first layer of tow into the gap of the socket. During work, you need to make sure that while filling the gap, the tow does not penetrate inside the pipe, because. this will lead to blockages over time. By the end of the work, 2/3 of the socket cavity should be filled with tow.
  3. The space that remains after compacting the tow should be filled with a compactor without any impregnation.
  4. The next step will be filling with cement mortar, which is prepared in a ratio of 9 to 1 (9 - cement, 1 - water). The resulting solution must be compacted with diligence in the socket, and then covered with a damp cloth. A wet rag is needed to prevent cracks from appearing in the cement while it dries. In addition to cement mortar, you can use bitumen mastic, asbestos-cement mixture or silicone sealant.

This method is used to connect cast iron structures to each other, but there are situations where it is necessary to connect cast iron to plastic. IN similar situations special couplings and adapters should be used. They are designed to connect sewer pipes of different diameters or made of different materials.

In order to make a quality transition from cast iron to plastic, you should inner surface Thoroughly clean and wipe the cast iron socket, and then apply silicone sealant to it. After this, the sealant must also be applied directly to the adapter, and then the adapter must be inserted into the socket. This connection will become airtight when the sealant has completely hardened.

Steel pipe connection

When to make a connection steel structures, then welding is used. In this case, the important point will be high-quality and professional performance of the work, taking into account allfeatures of the process. But even if you decide to do everything yourself by buying a good welding machine and having done all the work correctly, the end result is still a very unreliable design. The thing is that steel ones themselves are not very suitable for sewerage needs. In addition, welding seams will be extremely susceptible to corrosion compared to the rest of the surface. In other words, only when making a sewer system do you already understand what it has weak sides which will lead to leaks over time.

Naturally, in addition to welded connections, threaded connections can be used for steel ones. For example, the American fitting is the most popular of these connectors. It consists of 2 end switches connected by a union nut.

Connection of plastic sewer pipes

When you think about how to connect sewer plastic pipes, you can choose one of 3 options: socket, welding or threaded coupling. Each of these methods has its own nuances and will require certain equipment, so let’s look at them separately.

Exclusive supplier of plastic sewer pipes different diameters and colors, is the Agpipe group of companies. On the company website https://agpipe.ru presented big choice durable, pressure sewer plastic pipes and fastening systems from European factories.

Coupling connection

Before starting any manipulations, you should choose the type of coupling for the plastic pipe. But here we’ll make a small digression and say that this joining option can only be used in cases where it has a diameter of no more than 63 mm. If the diameter allows you to use a coupling, then you can become the owner of a completely collapsible sewer system.

The connection procedure itself using a threaded or compression coupling is quite simple. First you need to disassemble fastener, place the sealing ring and locknut on the pipe. Then it should be inserted into the coupling fitting and screw the locknut onto the thread of the coupling end. The locknut will secure the connection.

Connection using a threaded coupling is the fastest option for connecting plastic structures. The sewer system can be used directly after tightening the locknut. But there are also disadvantages. Yes, over time threaded connection may relax and a leak may appear at the joint.

Welding connection

Based on the material from which the sewer pipes are made, the method can be used cold welding(bonding method) or diffusion welding. Thus, cold welding is used during the installation of polypropylene, and diffusion welding is used during PVC connections. Moreover, any of these methods can be used both during installation in the socket and during fixation using a coupling.

The connection of polypropylene pipes by welding is carried out as follows:

  1. The end is cut off. The depth to which the pipe enters the coupling is measured. Trimming and marking the depth of entry must be done, because... otherwise, the quality of installation and the reliability of the system are reduced.
  2. Using a special soldering iron, the pipe and coupling are heated to 260°C.
  3. After heating, the parts must be removed from the soldering iron and the pipe is inserted into the coupling to the marked depth.

When using this joining method, the system will be ready for use immediately after the joints have hardened.

Sewer connection PVC structures happens according to the following scenario:

  1. The end is cut off in the same way and the pressing depth is marked.
  2. On outer part and special glue is applied to the inside of the coupling. The pipe is inserted into the coupling to the marked depth. Then it should be rotated a little around its axis. It should be noted that when choosing an adhesive, it is better to buy the one that is recommended by the manufacturers and compounds themselves.

Socket connection

Socket connections can only be used if they are to be used in non-pressure networks. In addition, for connection into a socket there must be special thickenings at the ends.

The socket connection occurs as follows:

  1. The pipe is installed on the supporting surface. The socket must be installed in the opposite direction to the flow movement.
  2. We install an O-ring into the socket of the receiving pipe.
  3. After installing the O-ring, insert the smooth end of the second pipe into the socket.
  4. After installing the connection, the second pipe should also be fixed.

Installation of sewerage in the house - difficult process, requiring certain skills and abilities. The labor intensity of such work is quite high. All products must be made of the appropriate material and have exact diameters.

It is important that after installation there is no leakage. The joints must remain dry. If the connection zone is installed incorrectly, blockages may occur, which requires dismantling and reinstalling the system.

That is why the question of how to combine sewer plastic pipes with each other is always relevant and requires detailed consideration.

  1. Sectional. Fastening is carried out using couplings or flanges.
  2. One-piece. The joints are combined by welding or glued, but fittings can also be installed.

Flange connection

This technology involves the use of rubber gaskets and cast iron fasteners. The ends of the pipes are made smooth, and a free flange is installed on them. After this, a sealing part is inserted, onto which a second metal flat disk is placed on top. The entire structure is secured with bolts and nuts.

Coupling connection

The end of the pipe is cut to maintain 90 degrees. First, a coupling is put on, the central axis of which must necessarily coincide with the joint. Then points are marked on the part to indicate the location of the connecting element.

The internal surface of the products is lubricated with a special viscous substance. Next, the pipe is inserted into the coupling. The structure moves onto another cylindrical part, adhering to the notches made.

When a non-pressure sewer is installed, fittings made from special corrugated pipes are used.

The methods described above do not require large financial costs and the use of expensive equipment or tools.

One-piece installation

To carry out butt welding work, must have special devices. In addition, electric welded couplings are installed. The ends of the pipes together with the connecting element are heated to a certain temperature. Adhesive installation requires the use of a special multicomponent composition.

Before you start gluing, you need to carefully study the glue instructions. Only correct application ensures reliability and tightness of joints.

This welding method has one drawback: it requires the use of expensive equipment.

Plug-in connection

This technique involves two options:

  1. Flanged.
  2. Coupling.

Combine sewer plastic pipes better first way. To achieve complete tightness, you need to install a rubber gasket and secure everything with cast iron fasteners.

The work is carried out in a certain sequence:

  1. The pipe is cut. It is important that the cut is perfectly smooth, and no chamfers are allowed.
  2. A loose flange is placed on this edge of the cylindrical structure.
  3. Installed rubber gasket. Its protrusion beyond the cut should reach 10 cm.
  4. A metal flat disk is placed on the sealing part. It is connected to the response element.
  5. The entire structure is fixed with bolts.

Installation of pressure and non-pressure systems requires the use of coupling connections.

To obtain a reliable and high-quality design, it is necessary to perform several technological operations:

  1. The ends of the parts should be cut only at an angle of 90 degrees.
  2. The coupling is mounted so that its axis falls on the center of the docking unit.
  3. A special mark is made indicating the position of the coupling on the product.
  4. The inner surface of the connecting element and the end of the pipe are lubricated with a special viscous substance.
  5. The first cylindrical product is inserted into the coupling until it stops. The axes of these parts must coincide.
  6. The connecting element together with the pipe is pushed onto the mating cylindrical product until the notch is left.

This technique allows for the dismantling of the pipeline. However, when executing reinstallation needs to be given Special attention joint tightness.

The nuances of permanent connection

Depending on the technology used, permanent connections are divided into several types.

Into the bell

Industry produces plastic pipes various sizes. This montage is reminiscent the children's designer. You can assemble almost any equipment, regardless of its complexity.

This technology is performed in a certain sequence:

  1. The joints are thoroughly cleaned and then equipped with rubber insulation.
  2. The smooth end is coated with silicone grease or liquid soap.
  3. The connection of sewer pipes should not have any play. They must be inserted all the way and very tightly.
  4. The depth of the connection is determined by the notch made on the inserted pipe.
  5. The cylindrical structures are separated by 1 cm. The largest penetration is taken as the basis.

Adhesive connection

PVC pipes are quite often combined with each other using a special compound. To do this, several operations are performed:

PVC pipe welding technology

This technique has gained great popularity, as the connection is highly reliable.

To weld, the edges are heated with a special iron until they begin to melt, then the ends are pressed tightly. After cooling, a durable monolithic structure is formed.

How to combine plastic with cast iron

It should be noted that complete replacement cast iron products have not yet occurred. The complexity of installing such a sewer system is quite high. In this case, it is necessary to combine products made from different materials. This work is carried out using developed technology.

Docking with socket

When the condition of the cast iron product does not cause any concern, and the surface of the socket has retained its smoothness, you can use special sealant. The work is performed in a certain sequence:

  1. The surface is cleaned of rust and all dirt is removed.
  2. Sealant is applied to the outer surface.
  3. A rubber adapter is inserted into the socket.
  4. The new cylindrical product is mounted into the cuff.

This technique is considered the simplest. It allows you to begin operating the sewerage system immediately after its assembly. In addition, to perform such work you do not need to resort to the services of professionals.

Docking without socket

When a cast iron product does not have a funnel-shaped expansion, another connection technology is used:

Use of silicone and linen

This connection option involves the use of linen winding. To do this, you need to perform a number of operations:

  1. Where plastic is combined with cast iron, the PVC pipe is treated with sanitary winding.
  2. Cylindrical products are connected to each other. The remains of the thread with any sharp object, for example a screwdriver, are pushed into the resulting gap.
  3. The docking area must be covered with a polymer-cement mortar consisting of cement, PVA glue and water.

When the work is completed, you need to wait one day and only then begin operating the sewer system.

Another option for connecting cast iron and PVC involves the use of plumbing silicone. This technique shows positive result, if there is a small gap in the joint, approximately 2 mm.

The products are pre-dried well. To do this, you can use a hair dryer. The narrow gap is filled with plumbing silicone using a special gun. The strength of the connection depends on the depth of penetration of the composition: the deeper it is, the better.

The silicone dries after 5 hours, and only after that can you begin to operate the drainage system.

Which connection method is considered the most reliable?

The simplest and most effective is the bell technology. Even a beginner can easily perform this assembly. The tightness in this case depends on the rubber ring with which the socket is equipped. It should be directed opposite to the flow of water.

If there is no lubrication, you can use liquid soap or detergent.

Welding pipe ends is considered a difficult method. To perform such work it is necessary to have special expensive equipment. However, the reliability and tightness of the docking always remain at the highest level.

The adhesive connection allows you to get a fairly strong joint. Before starting work, you need to thoroughly clean the parts from dirt and degrease the surfaces. All actions are performed quickly and carefully, before the glue has time to harden.

O-rings are used to secure the fittings. This installation can be done by yourself without the assistance of an assistant. This method is suitable for combining small diameter products.

The fastening must be done so that the connection point has free access to remove blockages.

To fix PVC sewer pipes, no special preparation is required, which cannot be said about metal analogues.

Conclusion

All of the technologies described above contribute to the creation of a reliable and sealed structure that does not have to be frequently repaired. How to connect sewer pipes is up to you, but remember that only quality work can prevent leaks and blockages.

Sewer adapters are special parts for pipeline installation that make it possible to vary the direction, diameter and materials of the communication system. The presence of sewer adapters greatly simplifies the partial replacement, installation and repair of sewer systems.

Modern sewer communications in the vast majority of cases they are mounted from polymer pipes. Depending on the layout, the sewerage system has a distribution throughout the building, which is connected to a common drain and discharged outside.

The pipeline configuration has many straight sections that are interconnected in complex systems with turns, bends, tees, crosses, plugs and revisions.

When assembling the pipeline, sewer adapters from polymer materials. They can be either removable or soldered.

Building old building equipped with sewer pipelines made of cast iron, less often made of steel. For repairs, partial replacement or tie-ins of a separate apartment with plastic sewer It is required to combine pipes made of metal alloys with pipes or fittings made of polymer materials into one system.

Here adapters also come to the rescue, which are made with special different ends and allow you to reliably connect dissimilar communications. Plumbing sewer adapters are designed for:

  • connections of straight sections of pipeline with different diameters;
  • connecting pipeline sections made of different materials (the diameter can be either the same or different from each other);
  • creating the necessary configuration of the sewer section (turns, bypass, routing).

Note! Before purchasing sewer adapters, you should know not only the required material and diameter, but also the type of thread - external or internal.

Basic properties and types of adapters for pipes made of different materials

To select the necessary adapters, you should know what the plumbing market offers and how they can be used. There are two groups of sewer adapters:

  • concentric – intended for installation on vertical sections of communications;
  • eccentric - installed on a horizontal pipeline.

Sewerage is a necessary element in every residential building. Planning for it usually occurs at the design stage of the building. A private house- this is a unique structure, which means that everyone decides for themselves when the structure will be erected. It is not always necessary to invite craftsmen; a number of works can be completed independently.

IN big houses There is always a bathroom and several toilets. In this situation, it is necessary to organize more than one septic tank. You can create conditions for exit Wastewater V central sewer. But then you will have to pay impressive sums. The basis is pipes, so you will have to figure out how to fix them. This is exactly what will be discussed in the article.

Internal structure

How to connect This is the main question, because the correct operation of the entire system depends on it. When creating a scheme, the sewage needs of the living space are taken as a basis. If there are several floors, all pipes are located in one location. The fact is that this is more convenient for subsequent installation. You should not use the same projects for different houses.

It is worth understanding that it is more convenient to work with pipes made of the same material, otherwise difficulties may arise in installation and further operation. How to connect sewer pipes? The first stage is creating a diagram. This is not difficult, you can do it yourself. As a result, the pipes will lie correctly and wastewater will flow out without blockages.

Next, the required material - pipes - is calculated, and it is also worth deciding what they will be made of. The entire system has many elements that must be connected to the riser and to each other. Things to consider:

  • Where will the pipe go?
  • Where will the riser be located?
  • What plumbing installations are there?

The distances, fixing elements, all the nuances are described in detail in the diagram. All this is done at the planning stage, otherwise it will be difficult to choose the right direction. Pipes may have different diameter, which is important to consider in advance.

What you should know

  • Usually a pipe with a diameter of 10 cm comes out of the bathroom. The same is chosen for the riser.
  • In the bathroom, you can reduce the diameter of the pipe to 5 cm.
  • Any turns in the sewer are made at an angle. A position of 45 degrees is quite suitable; in another situation, blockages cannot be avoided.

Material selection

Before connecting sewer pipes, you will need to take the choice of material seriously. Most often, attention is paid to cast iron pipes or those made of PVC. There are also polypropylene ones. The cast iron option is the most reliable and durable. Although craftsmen prefer PVC, because it is easy to work with and the price is low. Inside the house there is always no cast iron models, they are more suitable for outdoor use. But it is cast iron that has good performance characteristics and does not require an immediate change.

Operating methods

In any construction work there is a conditional division, from which it becomes clear what to choose, as well as how the system will work. The sewer system can be mixed or separate. For a private building, preference is given to the first option. Before connecting sewer pipes, it is always worth deciding what exactly will be installed.

There is also another classification based on the wastewater disposal process. These can be pressure and gravity systems. The first option requires additional financial investments, and therefore is not so popular. The second type is the most common, which is why many people prefer to use gravity sewers.

Installation

It will be difficult to cope alone, it is better to find a partner, it will be faster and better. Taken polypropylene pipes with a diameter of 5 and 10 centimeters. What you need to have on hand:

  • Pipes.
  • Revisions.
  • Adapters in the form of tees and elbows.
  • Clamps for reliable fixation of the main structure.
  • Shells.
  • Adhesive composition.
  • Rubber cuffs.

The use of a sleeve is mandatory. It is used in areas where the pipe will pass through walls or partitions. A cuff is fixed at the connection points and carefully isolated using adhesive composition. To ensure that the masses move quickly through the pipes and there are no blockages, a slight slope is made.

What does this indicator depend on? As practice shows, a slope of 2% is sufficient, but this number varies depending on the selected diameter of the main structure. It is these conditions that make it possible to create a reliable sewer system. There is no need to reduce or add percentage. The pipes can be securely fixed only with the help of seals and adhesive mass.

How to connect This question is the most difficult, because it is easier to work with plastic elements; for this you do not need additional equipment. Before properly connecting sewer pipes to each other when working with polypropylene, you need to have a special tool on hand soldering device. You will have to use a hammer drill to make holes in the walls.

The starting point is the exhaust area where the inner and outer pipes meet. By starting this way, you can avoid violations. The exit hole is made in the foundation. If the temperature in the region drops to -15 degrees, it is worth insulating, otherwise the entire system will not work in the cold. Having made the entrance, take a sleeve, which should be 30 centimeters larger than the hole. A slope of 2% is performed, after which the element goes to the pit itself. It is important that the outlet is identical in diameter to the riser.

A suitable option for a riser is a bathroom, because the wastewater outlet will be small. But the choice of distance to the riser depends on the diameter of the outgoing pipe. The larger it is, the closer the location.

Further, the procedure for installing the entire system will depend on the desire of the owner - outside, in boxes, in the wall. All other branches are connected to the riser using a tee. Water seals help combat odors. The revision allows therefore it should appear at any turn, because these are the most problem areas.

How to connect with plastic? This is the most difficult thing in the whole design. Often this needs to be done if, for example, polypropylene was laid in the house, and a cast iron pipe has already gone to the street to the septic tank. This is difficult because there is a conflict between different materials. One thing is worth knowing for sure - the diameter of a cast iron pipe in such a situation should not be less than a plastic one. IN construction stores there are tees from different materials. You will need to fix the structure using a welding machine on one side, and a soldering iron on the other.

How to connect a toilet to a sewer pipe? If you purchase an adapter, there will be no serious installation problems. When operating the system, problem situations usually do not arise (meaning a rush, a jam). The only thing is that it needs to be carefully sealed. After the entire structure is assembled, be sure to check the structure for leaks by running a simple clean water. How to connect Since this is a simple material and plastic, it is enough to have only a soldering iron.

External works

After you have connected the sink and shower to the sewer pipe, you will have to lead everything to the septic tank. You will have to work in the ground at the selected slope. Before choosing, you should know that the entire structure will be subject to soil load, so rigidity is an important indicator. Most often, connecting sewer pipes 110 are chosen (we’ll look at how to connect them later). Any mass quickly flows through them without creating a jam. But which septic tank is a priority? Several indicators are taken into account here:

  • How many residents are there in the house?
  • Their needs.
  • Permanent or temporary stay in housing.
  • Water requirement per person.
  • Where are they located? groundwater.
  • What kind of soil?
  • Climatic indicators.

You can make a decision yourself or get the opinion of a specialist. It is necessary to properly remove the septic tank from the house and garden. After work, they go through several stages:

  • A trench is dug for the pipes, a slope is made and a certain direction to the septic tank is made.
  • A sand cushion is made into the resulting hole.
  • They are laying the pipeline.
  • All joint points are filled with sealant.
  • The hole is being buried.

Pipe connection selection

During operation, you can select any connection method. Giving preference to PVC or polypropylene, it is easy to work with, but they make noise. How to connect sewer pipes to each other? You can do this “in the bell”. The operation is performed in several steps:

  • The socket and smooth end of the pipe are cleaned.
  • Seals must be used.
  • Finally smooth side lubricant or simple soap is applied, after which the connection is made without a gap.

What's next?

In addition, glue is used for fixation. The use of a weld requires the use of a special apparatus. He does monolithic base, which has a long service life, without leaks.

Using fittings

Another option is to use fittings. They are relevant if the entire sewer system is small and there are no frequent turns. How to connect a siphon to a sewer pipe? The operation is carried out using the same method. Work in this direction cannot occur without silicone seals. If the pipe bends, it must be additionally secured, otherwise it will sag, violating the angle of inclination.

When it is necessary to change the sewerage system, cast iron is often chosen because it is difficult to use for the transition modern material. What kind of work do they do? It's good when they have bells. In this case, the assembly is carried out similar to folding a nesting doll. As soon as the smooth part is inserted into the socket, a gap will appear between the elements. To remove it, use a sealant. Linen tow is suitable for this.

To prevent joints from leaking, use cement mortar, they fill the structure. It is not necessary to use just such a sealing system - there are other compositions. This includes bitumen, mastic, and sealants. Installation work will not be difficult.

Important points

When doing all the work yourself, it is worth considering some important points. What to pay attention to:

  • It is necessary to choose the right pipes (determine what material they will be made of). It is important to remember that low-quality pipes will quickly fail and leaks will appear.
  • Create a diagram, thinking everything through carefully.
  • Avoid disposing of waste that is too large into the sewer system.
  • Think over the location of the pipes.

It is better if the entire system is planned at the beginning of construction.

Conclusion

The article discussed how pipes can be connected. As you can see, there are several options. Everyone chooses the best one for themselves.

All preparatory work has been done, you can begin connecting plastic pipes.

There are two connection methods:

  • Detachable connection.

This method is divided into flange and coupling.

For a flange connection, cast iron fasteners with a rubber gasket are used. The edges of the pipe are cut evenly at the junction, then a loose flange is put on, a rubber gasket is inserted, a flange is also placed on it, and everything is bolted together.

With a coupling connection, the ends of the pipe are cut at an angle of 90◦; put on the coupling (its center should coincide with the joint of the pipes); marks are made on the pipes corresponding to the position of the coupling; the ends of the pipes and the coupling (from the inside) are treated with a special lubricant; One end of the pipe is inserted into the coupling and pushed onto the second, according to the mark.

Fittings made of corrugated pipes are also used to connect non-pressure sewer systems.

The above methods for connecting plastic pipes are characterized by low price, ease of installation and dismantling of the sewer system, and do not require the use of expensive equipment and special tools.

  • Permanent connection.

This method is divided into socket connection, welding connection, adhesive connection, and connection using fittings.

Butt welding is carried out using special equipment. A continuous connection is formed by heating the edges of the pipes and joining them.

Electric welded couplings are also used; the edge of the pipe and the coupling are heated according to the welding parameters specified on the equipment.

The glued connection (cold welding technology) is carried out using a special glue.

The described methods for installing plastic pipes provide a durable, tight, reliable connection for many years. There is one drawback - the need to purchase expensive welding equipment.

Note!

There is no need to buy a welding machine to install a small sewer system. In this case, it is better to choose connecting plastic pipes without welding, using shaped parts (fittings).
