Administrative structures

Like many other universities, SSAU is directly managed by the rector and his assistants in certain areas - vice-rectors, who together constitute the highest governing body - the rector's office. At the same time, all the most important questions related to strategy further development of the university, is decided by an elected representative body - the academic council.

Relations between all employees and students of SSAU are regulated by the Charter of SSAU. According to the charter, the highest governing body of the university is the University Conference. This is a general university meeting designed to resolve only the most important issues arising before SSAU. In fact, the conference meets rarely and only in cases of extreme necessity. In fact, the administration of the university is carried out by the rector's office and the academic council.

Educational structures

The educational part of SSAU is divided into faculties, each of which trains students in a specific set of specialties, and each of which has several departments. Each faculty is managed by its dean’s office, headed, in turn, by the dean of the faculty; Departments are led by heads of departments. A special feature of the names of faculties is the fact that when designating a faculty, its number is often used. chronological order education, not the title.

SSAU provides training in three forms: full-time, part-time and part-time. A separate faculty has been created for the latter, which is described here. Full-time education involves maximum amount classroom training, both lecture and practical. It provides the most complete and high-quality education. The main feature of this form of education is the fact that the vast majority of students studying on it are trained on a budgetary basis, i.e. they do not pay any fees for education. Classroom classes in full-time and part-time courses are held in the evening, and there are significantly fewer of them than in full-time courses. In this case, the student is forced to master most of the material on his own, but, nevertheless, this can be convenient for students working in an enterprise or receiving education at several universities.

For people who have already received higher education, the university operates postgraduate and doctoral studies, training scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the person of candidates of sciences and doctors of sciences at the expense of budget funds on a full-time basis.

In distant wartime, in 1944, the Kuibyshev Aviation College - KuAT - was created. The geographically advantageous location of our city, its economic potential and transport connections became the reason for the evacuation of many industrial enterprises in the country to us. The base for the new educational institution was the evacuated Voronezh Aviation College named after. V.P. Chkalova. KuAT is located on the street. Ulyanovskaya 18, in the building of the Aviation Institute. N.N. Borodin, who had previously supervised the educational process at the Voronezh Aviation College, was appointed the first director. The Kuibyshev Technical School trained specialists who were needed by the national economy: design technicians and aircraft manufacturing technicians, motor mechanics, and metal cutting technicians. A year later, KuAT made its first graduation (33 people in total); Almost half of the graduates received diplomas with honors. The economically developing Volga city required educated professionals. And the technical school opened evening branches for working youth at aviation, engine-building, mechanical, and metallurgical plants. The technical school promptly responded to the requests of industrial enterprises of the city and country and produced specialists in various fields: aircraft and engine building, aircraft electrical equipment, tool production, radio equipment manufacturing and others. The high demands of teachers have not reduced the number of people wishing to get an education at a technical school; people came to us to study from the Ulyanovsk, Saratov regions, Mordovia, Chuvashia, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, with Far East. The increase in the number of students required an increase in teaching space. The invaluable merit of the technical school director L.G. Grigoriev in the construction of a new building on the street. Physical education 92. In a spacious, bright, cozy building To this day, studies, sports, amateur performances, and technical creativity take place. A dormitory was needed for out-of-town students. It was built in 1978 on the street. Fadeeva 42. The two buildings of the nine-story hostel building have become a real home for those in need of housing.

In 2007, by decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the aviation technical school was transformed into a unit of secondary vocational education at the Samara State Aerospace University named after. Academician S.P. Queen. The traditional ties between the two educational institutions of the city are now legally secured. This will help young people plan their careers. Within the walls of one educational institution they will be able to master the most in-demand professions from the level of technician to Doctor of Technical Sciences. Education at the highest level is carried out according to an abbreviated program. In the buildings of the aviation technical school, students will find modern classrooms equipped with audio and video materials, educational and visual aids, methodological developments. Students of all areas of training have the opportunity to study in computer laboratories with Internet access. The equipment of training and production workshops is being updated; students are trained on ultra-modern machines that are now equipped industrial enterprises. Currently, as part of the implementation of innovative educational program and through the mediation of Aviaagregat OJSC, the technical school received from the German company Hermle a five-axis machining center C40U. This marked the beginning of the creation of a Center for training highly qualified specialists in servicing CNC machines, an acute shortage of which is experienced by all enterprises in the mechanical engineering industry of our region. The Graduate Employment Assistance Service, which operates at the technical school, helps you find a job not only after graduating from the technical school, but also for part-time work during your studies.
