How are blinds attached to plastic windows, with self-tapping screws and tape

Hello. This time you will learn how to attach blinds to plastic windows. The topic of the article is interesting because plastic or aluminum blinds are everywhere replacing less practical fabric curtains. Therefore, if you decide to make the windows in your apartment more modern and easier to use, the following photo reports on the completed installation are exactly what you need.

Current fastening methods

Attaching blinds to a plastic window is done in two ways:

  • Using self-tapping screws - the PVC profile will be drilled, and therefore when dismantling the blinds there will be holes that will not be easy to cover;
  • Without the use of self-tapping screws, the PVC profile will be intact and this is good, but the structure installed on top of the profile will be held less firmly in comparison with analogues fixed on self-tapping screws.

I don’t know which horizontal blinds you chose, and therefore I’ll tell you about the installation of each of the listed varieties separately and in detail.

Installation using self-tapping screws

The blinds package includes the following:

  • The main structure is made of 2 lamellas. (one for each leaf);
  • Fastening elements for the upper part, 2 pieces per sash;
  • Fastening elements for the lower part, 2 pieces per sash;
  • Self-tapping screws 20 mm long, 4 pcs. for each sash.

DIY installation instructions are as follows:

  • Unpack the blinds and unwind the adjustment cord;

  • Remove the adjusting bar (cane);

  • We attach the upper fastening elements to the upper profile of the device so that the fastenings do not interfere with the operation of the mechanisms located inside the profile;

  • Next, we open the slats so that they take the position characteristic of open blinds;
  • We apply the upper profile to the window so that the lower strip is located just below the bead on the frame, that is, so that the glass is completely covered;

When making markings, I recommend using a spirit level so that the top bar is located exactly horizontally and does not have any distortions. If the window was initially installed skewed, we make markings not according to the spirit level, but taking into account the location of the sashes.

  • Using pre-made markings, we install the fastenings with self-tapping screws;

Surface PVC profile smooth, and therefore it will most likely not be easy to tighten the self-tapping screw according to the mark. Therefore, before screwing in the screw, we drill holes in the profile with a diameter of 2 mm, which is 1 mm less than the diameter of the screws. It will be easy to screw in the screws using the pre-made holes.

  • After the fasteners are installed, apply the top bar to them and click it in with a little force;

  • WITH outside We finally fix the structure with plugs, which are placed on the holders until a characteristic click appears;
  • We lower the blinds so that the lower slats are in the lowest position;
  • We make markings for the lower fasteners so that they are located at the level of the ends of the lower bar;

  • We install fastenings on self-tapping screws;
  • We snap the bottom bar into the fastenings;
  • We install the adjustment bar on the original mount;

  • Checking functionality installed blinds, opening and closing the gap between the slats.

Operation and Maintenance

So we found out how to attach blinds to plastic windows with self-tapping screws. Among the recommendations for use and maintenance installed structures I note the following:

  • We rotate the adjustment bar around its axis smoothly since the hook with which it is attached to the mechanism is quite fragile;
  • In order to wash the window, we snap off the lower lamella and assemble the blinds upward; this is enough to wipe the entire glass;
  • I recommend removing dust from the slats with a peacock broom;
  • I recommend that immediately after the dust has been removed, apply an antistatic aerosol, any one of your choice, to the slats.

Installation without using self-tapping screws

Now I'll tell you how to attach plastic blinds on modern double-glazed windows without the use of screws.

In what cases can fastening without drilling be relevant? There are many such cases, for example, the use of rented housing, where, according to the terms of the contract, elements of the surroundings cannot be damaged.

For execution installation work you will need a set of regular horizontal blinds with light plastic slats, double-sided tape and regular scissors.

The instructions for attaching blinds to plastic windows without using self-tapping screws are as follows:

  • Unpack the set of blinds;
  • We disconnect the adjustment bar from the main unit so that it does not subsequently interfere with the installation;
  • We lay the main block with the wrong side up;
  • Unwind the double-sided tape to the length of the body;

We select double-sided tape so that the width of the tape is equal to the width of the blind block. We glue the tape so that it is flush with the walls of the block. In addition, carefully smooth the glued tape from the inside out so that it sticks evenly over the entire surface.

  • We apply the blinds to the window and determine their position on the top of the window sash;
  • Having decided on the location, we make marks on the profile corresponding to the ends of the block;

  • Next, remove the remaining tape from the double-sided tape. protective strip and glue the block along the previously made marks to the profile;

  • We install the previously removed adjusting bar and the installation can be considered complete.

How firmly will blinds be held when glued with double-sided tape?

The actual operation of blinds installed on tape shows that for 1.5 years the structure lasted without any changes, that is, it did not warp or fall. I think that over the next two or three years the situation will not change.

When installing a block of blinds, only the upper part is glued to the tape, while the lower strip is not fixed. This has virtually no effect on the operation of the device, except that when the shutter is opened towards you, the lower part of the blinds will move forward and touch indoor flowers on the windowsill.

I told my friends about this installation method. They told me that the method is not bad, but they will not use it, since the tape, after removal, will leave characteristic marks that are difficult to remove. Is it really?

There will be marks, but it will be easy to remove any remaining glue from the frame. Just wet the cloth sunflower oil and wipe the plastic surface and the glue stains will disappear by themselves. For more effective removal stains from tape, moisten a rag not with sunflower oil, but

Blinds, which 10 years ago looked like real foreign exotica, have now become firmly established in our lives. Majority office premises and institutions have switched from using standard curtains to universal blinds, which collect less dust, look more formal and are incredibly comfortable.

Blinds are used even in rooms designed in classic style, because their functionality, ease of care and appearance on high. In addition, blinds provide effective protection of spaces from sunlight, allow you to easily adjust the level of illumination in the room, and reliably screen the room from prying eyes.

The installation of blinds must be carried out according to all the rules, otherwise you risk getting a lot of problems: the canvas will not move, the curtain will be difficult to assemble, etc. High-quality installation ensures the blinds have a long service life. When installing, you need to take into account the design features and the specifics of the walls (or window frames) in the room.

PVC window manufacturing companies offer blinds of a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Depending on the purpose, blinds are made from:

There are different types of blinds:

These types differ significantly in the location of the slats and installation methods.

Vertical blinds are rare in ordinary residential premises; they are more often used in offices. They are mounted above the top edge of the window, similar to curtains, although this may negatively affect their functionality. And roller blinds and horizontal blinds are more often used at home instead of traditional curtains. They are installed not only in the window opening, but also on top of the window.

Roller blinds are mounted on the front surface of the corner upper slope window profile.

Blinds with horizontal slats can be mounted directly on the window profile, on each sash. Often horizontal slats are complemented with curtains with curtains. Installing blinds directly on the window profile saves useful space in the room itself and frees up space on the window sill.

The design of the blinds consists of:

For windows non-standard shape you need to use slats of a special length, which the best way will provide light protection to the room.

If your window has two sashes, then when installing the blinds, pay attention to the location of the blind lifting mechanism (right, left).

Three ways to install blinds:

  • onlay;
  • for each window sash separately;
  • directly into the window opening.

A factory set of blinds usually includes all materials for their installation: screws and self-tapping screws, as well as other parts.

The choice of installation option is related to the design features of the window: installing blinds on standard double-hung windows is a little easier than on inclined roof windows. One of the most difficult is the installation of blinds on PVC windows, since working with plastic compared to, say, wood, has a number of specific features. The installation of cornices on plastic windows must be carried out as carefully as possible and it is better to do this in the warm season (at temperatures above +5 degrees Celsius).

Installation of blinds on a window sash can be done using self-tapping screws, brackets, or by drilling holes in the frame. This is the most durable and reliable.

Important! The tightness of the profile does not suffer when the blind cornice is attached to it using drilling. If it becomes necessary to remove the cornice and holes remain in the frame, they can be filled with white silicone sealant.

If you don't want to drill holes, use brackets that attach to the frame without drilling.

Important! In most cases, blinds can be attached to screws that are already in the window profile. This installation method is no less reliable than drilling holes. You can learn about the possibility of such a simple installation from the blinds’ instructions.

Progress of installation of blinds

After unpacking the blinds, read the instructions. Installing blinds means: measuring the window and adjusting the dimensions of the blinds to it; then install the fastenings for the cornice and cord system; assemble the strips onto the cornice and check the functionality of the system.

Measurements are necessary in order to subsequently be able to conveniently use the light-protective sheet without complaining about distortions or frequent breakdowns. It is especially important to check the dimensions of the canvases and adjust them to the place of attachment if the window opening has a specific geometric shape.

Before screwing, you need to mark the position of the fasteners with a pencil, checking them with a level and a tape measure to avoid a skewed fit and leave room for adjusting the container, and also to ensure that the slats do not extend beyond the window glass.

2. Installation of cornice and slats

Before installation and actual installation, it is necessary to mark the fasteners with maximum accuracy and symmetry. For the control cord it is necessary to provide additional fastening so that the structure can withstand additional load. All elements are fixed to the wall with screws or dowels. Next is the installation of the cornice. The slats and runners themselves will be attached to it. The rigidity of the structure is guaranteed by the upper cornice strip, so there is no need to further strengthen the strip with glue, sealant or foam - it is fixed quite rigidly.

At reinstallation you need to measure the width of each window sash to window fittings did not interfere with the free hanging of the slats. Also, when choosing an installation “in the window opening”, you need to reduce the height on each side by 2 cm so that the canvas does not touch the window sill. To secure the blinds close to a plastic window, you need to drill the plastic window frame according to the markings - pre-drilling will prevent cracking of the plastic.

If the plates on which the blinds are hung do not fit tightly to the window profile, use pads.

Brackets for blinds are screwed into the holes using self-tapping screws. Next, you need to secure the brackets upward with latches and insert the container with the blinds into them.

The lower holders are attached like this: lower the curtain to mark the lower points (the canvas should be loosely stretched). Using these marks, drill holes into which you need to screw the lower holders that secure the canvas in the “micro-ventilation” position. Make sure that the staples sit firmly in the plastic.

When installing an overlay, you need to add 5cm in width so that the entire opening is closed. The height is adjustable and can reach the window sill or the floor itself.

There are a number modern methods installation of blinds, which involves installing a cornice with slats on brackets attached to the window frame without drilling. The cornice with stripes is simply hung on the brackets and snaps into place. The design is collapsible, which allows you to remove the blinds when you need to wash the window glass or wipe the slats. This is the easiest way to install blinds.

Features of installation of blinds by type

Vertical blinds

Before installation begins vertical blinds you need to decide whether wall or ceiling mount for the cornice. The height of the light-protective sheet depends on the place where the cornice is attached.

The thickness of the guide for vertical blinds should be at least 5-6 cm; such a gap will ensure free movement of the slats. If there is an obstacle between the blinds and the wall (batteries, etc.), then you will need to install an additional bracket, which is not included in the kit; it must be purchased separately.

If you want the blinds to be at some distance from the wall (there are different cases: pipe, etc.), you need to additionally purchase a bracket

For vertical blinds, the order in which the slats are hung is also important: they need to be attached to the cornice in the same order as they were in the factory box. Also, before installation begins, it is necessary to determine the correct direction of the pendants. The correct position when closed you can't see the seam on the blind material.

Don't forget to install the bottom weights on vertical stripes so that the canvas looks smooth. Cargo from external and inner sides connected to each other by a chain. The plumb line is attached to a cord that is included in the kit. Various manufacturers use plumb lines of different shapes.

There are many in stores various fastenings for vertical blinds, but they are very often unreliable. The safest way to mount the blinds is to use a pair of brackets that need to be screwed to the wall with self-tapping screws.

Roller and horizontal blinds

Horizontal and roller blinds, like vertical ones, are equally conveniently installed on a wall, attached to a window or ceiling. The main thing is to clearly measure whether the canvas will interfere with opening the window. If this happens, if possible, you need to cut a hole in the strips in advance for comfortable opening of the window sashes.

When attaching with double-sided tape, do not forget to thoroughly remove dust and degrease the surface.

You have convinced yourself that self-installation making blinds is quite simple if you know a few tricks to make the process easier. Good luck using your own blinds!

After purchasing blinds, the question arises of how to install them. In principle, you can turn to professionals, they will do everything quickly and efficiently, but of course not for free. If you don’t want to spend money and you think that you can handle such work yourself, then this article is for you.

I draw your attention, try to assess your strengths and capabilities without emotions, pragmatically and calmly, otherwise you may ruin the purchased blinds and damage the window.

Preparation

We decide what type of blinds we purchased: horizontal, vertical or roller blinds.

Horizontal blinds are called blinds with slats (slats) parallel to the floor and ceiling, vertical blinds are called blinds with slats perpendicular to them. Roller blinds are sun protection products that consist of a canvas (in most cases fabric) wound on a shaft.

It is necessary to take the measurements correctly, otherwise all the work will go down the drain. If you make a mistake and the lamellas turn out to be too long, then removing the extra lamellas will not be difficult, but on the contrary, you will hardly be able to add them if you have shortened more than necessary.

Installation of horizontal blinds in the overlay

We measure the width and height window opening, blinds must exceed it in these indicators by at least 3 cm or more.

If the blinds are mounted on the ceiling, measure the distance from the ceiling to the window sill.

If the window is flush with the wall, the handle may get in the way when opening, so you will have to use brackets. Make sure that they do not touch the mechanisms inside the cornice.

The tools you will need are a hammer drill or a drill and a screwdriver.

  1. We fix the brackets at the required height.
  2. Installing the cornice
  3. We mount the control handle.
  4. Checking the result

Installation of horizontal blinds on PVC brackets

You will need a screwdriver and wire cutters

  1. Using a special screw, we connect the PVC bracket to the universal bracket.
  2. Take a piece of cable of the required length and secure the upper cable clamp with a screwdriver
  3. We pass the cable through the cornice and slats
  4. We install PVC brackets on the cornice and attach it to the sash of the plastic window. We tighten the cornice with a special wrench from the fastening kit.
  5. Installing PVC brackets for the bottom of the window
  6. Pass the cable through the clamp in the bottom bracket and tighten it
  7. Now all that remains is to install the control knob and check how successful the installation is.

Installation of vertical blinds. Instructions

  1. Mark the wall brackets to a height of plus 2 cm. The extreme fasteners should be removed 10-20 cm from the cornice.
  2. Assemble the bracket with the spring
  3. Drill a hole 6 mm in diameter with a hammer drill in the wall
  4. After inserting the dowel and plugs, use self-tapping screws to secure the brackets.
  5. Install brackets on the cornice to attach the decorative panel
  6. Next you need to install the cornice. Remember, its front part must be inserted into engagement with the short edge of the fastening spring. Gently press the tail of the spring until you hear a characteristic click.
  7. Using a rope, move the runners to one side, using a chain, turn them 90 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the cornice
  8. Attach the slats to the assembled runners
  9. To prevent the slats from dangling in the wind like strips of fabric, we insert weights into special pockets on them
  10. Install decorative panel and the bottom chain.
  11. We check the assembled structure.

Installing roller blinds on a window

Tools: drill or hammer drill, drill bits, level, double-sided tape, anchor screws, screwdrivers.

Roller blinds can be mounted on the wall, in window opening or install without drilling.

We make sure that nothing will interfere with the opening/closing of the roller blind. If, for example, a window handle interferes with the opening of the structure, then you can turn the curtains over so that they unfold counterclockwise rather than clockwise.

  1. We collect roller blind. We insert a plug into one end of the pipe, and install a mechanism with a control circuit into the opposite end;
  2. To mark and drill holes for self-tapping screws, we apply the curtains to the window. We align the shaft horizontally, to do this you need to use a level.
  3. After this, install the clamp into the bracket and fasten it to the bracket.
  4. Pass the fishing line into the special lower hole in the bracket so that it does not fall out, make a knot. The fishing line from the other end must be threaded into the guide and pulled into the lower clamp.
  5. Place double-sided tape on the bracket. Don't forget to degrease the surface before doing this.
  6. By removing upper layer on tape, we mount the curtain on the window.
  7. We snap the hooks on the brackets until they stop.
  8. Next, we secure the bracket with self-tapping screws and secure the bracket on the other side.
  9. We check the quality of the installation.

Installing mini roller blinds with fishing line

Usually they are installed separately on each of the window sashes

  1. Make sure you have all the necessary components.
  2. If necessary, shorten the curtain fabric, then secure it to the shaft
  3. Thread a fishing line into the holes on the fastening corners and tie knots at its edges.
  4. Cut off the rest of the line
  5. Carefully, using extreme accuracy, insert the capsules into the edges of the shaft with the wound curtain.
  6. Snap the edges of the capsules of the fastening angles.
  7. Make sure the installed curtain is working properly.

Modern horizontal blinds have long become a worthy and practical replacement classic curtains and traditional curtains. They do not require special care and perfectly protect the living space from bright sunlight and prying eyes.

Advantages of horizontal blinds

The advantages of blinds are undeniable. The cost of such light-protective structures is relatively low, and their service life is more than long. In addition, they are comfortable, functional and practical both in care and in daily use, thanks to the accessible mechanical control you can easily and quickly adjust the intensity and direction luminous flux. A separate argument in favor of horizontal blinds is the possibility of installation on windows of a non-standard configuration (for example, on inclined dormer windows).

By the way! It is with the help of blinds that you can visually adjust the proportions of a living space. So, vertical lamellas will visually lift a low ceiling, and horizontal ones will make compact room more spacious.

Types of horizontal blinds

Depending on the material from which the slats (cross bars) are made, blinds can be made of aluminum, plastic, wood and bamboo. Light-protective structures made of aluminum are most often used for arranging loggias and balconies. Plastic products are ideal for the kitchen and bathroom - they withstand frequent cleaning and are not afraid of moisture. Eco-blinds from natural materials– wood and bamboo – The best decision for arranging a children's room, bedroom and living room.

Installation options for horizontal blinds

Horizontal blinds are quite simple design, which usually consists of a decorative cornice and a standard set of accessories - slats, runners, weights, rope and mechanical control chain. That is why the installation of blinds can be done with your own hands - without the involvement of helpers and craftsmen, the cost of whose services, by the way, is about 15-20% of the price of the product. Typically, the independent process of assembling and hanging the structure takes no more than an hour. Depending on the general interior and the dimensions of the room, horizontal blinds are installed either inside the window opening or above it.

Installation of horizontal blinds in the window opening

Installation of the structure in the window opening occurs in the following order:

  1. First of all, unpack the blinds and put the fastening elements aside - metal brackets and screws.
  2. Next, mark the fasteners. To do this, blinds and brackets are applied to the inner upper part of the opening at the attachment points. Pay attention to the markings of the fasteners: LH/GH – fasteners for the left side, RH/DH – for the right.
  3. Then make an internal indentation from the edges of the opening (about 20-25 mm) and draw marks for the screws (a pair of screws for each bracket). In the marked places, holes with a depth of 35-40 mm are drilled with a drill.
  4. Now fix the brackets in the upper part of the slope using self-tapping screws, and the upper profile of the blinds using screws. When checking the build quality of the structure, pay attention to following points: The rope and chain should not get caught in the control mechanism or become twisted, and the sliders should move freely along the curtain rod line.

Installing horizontal blinds on a window opening

Installation of the structure over the window opening is performed in a slightly different order:

  1. To begin with, the blinds are placed above the window in the planned location and appropriate marks are made at the level of the ends of the upper guide structure.
  2. Now an internal indentation (20-25 mm) is made from the end marks and points for attaching the brackets are marked. Next, they are fixed to the wall using self-tapping screws, having previously drilled holes at the marks.
  3. If the length of the blinds exceeds 1.8-2.0 m, a central connector is additionally installed between the brackets - otherwise sagging of the massive structure cannot be avoided.
  4. After this, the upper profile of the blinds is hung on the brackets and secured with screws or special locks. Upon completion of installation, the operation of the mechanisms of the installed structure is checked.

To speed up the process of hanging blinds, carefully study the installation tips from the manufacturer. As a rule, each product comes with instructions with detailed description and installation diagram.

Blinds perform not only protective, but also aesthetic functions. They are often used as a replacement for regular massive curtains. The design is represented by a device that has a cornice and a control mechanism for the slats, as well as connecting elements.

Types of blinds

The market is crowded with all kinds of products, their design depends on the location of the lamellas, and the price also depends on their variety. Let's look at what types you can find.

1. Horizontal

This type is considered the most common; the slats are located parallel to the floor.

A variety of materials are used for their manufacture:

  1. Aluminum. Such products have a long service life. They may be in different color scheme. Their slats are rigid and can withstand any temperature change. They do not require additional care; just wash them with a damp cloth and detergent.
  2. Wood. This type can also be called “Venetian”. They do not differ in special technological properties; bamboo is used for their production. They have a spectacular appearance, but at the same time their price is high.
  3. Faux wood. This material is an alternative replacement natural wood, accordingly, their price is lower. These blinds are most often used in rooms with high humidity.
  4. Fabric. Natural and synthetic fabrics are used to make blinds.
  5. Plastic. Very practical, the slats are rigid and can withstand any temperature change. It is advisable to install them in contaminated areas. The choice is huge, presented in various colors and invoices.

2. Vertical

Here the lamellas are located vertically to the floor, their stability is achieved due to weight, if they are plastic or aluminum structures. For the manufacture of vertical products, plastic, aluminum, fabric, and wood are used.

Pros:

  1. Dust is removed from them well. This can be done with a vacuum cleaner, brush or damp cloth.
  2. Damaged lamellas can be replaced with others.
  3. Such products darken rooms well, while Fresh air arrives without obstacles
  4. Can be combined with tulle.
  5. You can always replace them with others without replacing the cornice.

Minuses:

  1. If you open a window, you have to pull the entire curtain to the side.
  2. Not suitable for all windows. In particular, not for those where the sashes on the opening window are less than 3 centimeters. In this case, it will be impossible to open it.

3. Pleated

By their design, pleated blinds resemble an accordion; they are raised using an electric drive or a spring mechanism. Can be installed on any type of window.

4. Rolled

Such designs are also called; various fabrics with different densities, colors, and textures are used for their manufacture. In order for them to have antistatic, dust-repellent and antibacterial properties, they are impregnated with a special substance.

Advantages:

  1. There is a large selection of colors, and any design can be drawn on the canvas.
  2. Variety of fabrics. Cotton, silk, linen, and polyester are suitable for their manufacture.
  3. They come with anti-glare properties.
  4. Such products are harmoniously combined with tulle, you just need to choose the right colors.
  5. They take up little space due to their compactness.
  6. Easy to care for, clean with a damp cloth. And stains can be washed off with soapy water.

Flaws: can absorb unpleasant odors, and cannot be washed.

Choice of blinds

When choosing blinds you should take into account:

  1. Their functionality. Will there be any light coming in or should it be blocked out completely?
  2. Combination with furniture.
  3. Size.
  4. Mounting method.

You can take measurements yourself, but you must maintain accuracy and precision:

  1. For good result it is necessary to use a tape measure without any rounding. Here it is necessary to maintain accuracy down to the millimeter.
  2. Parameters (width and length) are measured at the top, middle and bottom of the window.

When ordering products, you need to take into account the method in which they will be installed: on the sash, in the opening and on the wall:

  1. In the first option, you should measure the distance between the window beads where the blinds will be attached.
  2. If the fastening will be carried out in the opening, then the window opening is measured in three points in height and width. A similar procedure is needed for insurance, since the openings have irregularities. The smaller number is selected from the results obtained.
  3. In the third case, the width of the product should be no less than the width of the opening by 10 cm. The length should accordingly be greater than the window opening, since the curtain rod of the blinds will be fixed there.

Installation of horizontal blinds

This type of blinds can be attached to the ceiling, to the wall and into the opening.

First you need to do:

  1. Determining the height and width of the product based on the size of the window opening. If they are installed in an opening, it is recommended to subtract one and a half centimeters from the width of the product.
  2. The location where the control will be located (right or left) is determined.
  3. The type of fastening is taken into account.

Depending on the design of the product, they are used different types fastenings

Bracket mounting

  1. Taking into account the dimensions of the device, the places where the brackets will be installed are marked. The distance between them should be 55-60 centimeters. Avoid getting the brackets into the control mechanism, clamps and calipers.
  2. The brackets are attached to the ceiling, wall or window sash.
  3. Turn the bracket latches counterclockwise until they stop completely.
  4. The upper cornice of the product is inserted into the bracket, after which the latch is turned clockwise until it stops.

Drilling installation:

  1. On top part Brackets are installed on the doors, and plastic corners are attached to the bottom.
  2. Along the edges of the upper cornice, cables are secured in special bushings.
  3. The cornice is fixed to brackets.
  4. A cable is threaded along the edges of the lamellas through special holes.
  5. A second pair of bushings is installed in the lower brackets, through which the cable is threaded and secured with a screw.
  6. The mechanism is secured with a hook on the handle.
  7. The handle holder should be directed towards the sash.
  8. After installation is completed, you should make sure that the structure is working.

Installation of the structure without drilling using overhead brackets:

  1. Places for installation of brackets are marked.
  2. The brackets are secured with a screw.
  3. The structure is installed on the top of the sash and then secured with a key.
  4. Drop-in bottom brackets are attached to the bottom of the sash.
  5. The cables are secured in the bushings.
  6. The cornice is fixed to the brackets, after which the cable is threaded.
  7. Plastic bushings are directed into holes located on the bottom bracket.
  8. Use a screw to secure the cable in the bushing.
  9. The handle hook is attached to the control mechanism, after which the handle holder is installed.
  10. Finally, you need to check the operation of the structure.

Installation of vertical blinds

The first step will be to take measurements, while vertical blinds do not have any special requirements for their measurement. Here, more attention is paid to where they will be located.

This type of curtain is attached in three ways:

  1. To the ceiling, to perform the function of regular curtains.
  2. Above the window opening, which will allow you to completely close the window, preventing sunlight from entering.
  3. Up window slope, while the sun's rays will partially penetrate into the room.

Assembly of vertical blinds

Before installing the structure, it must be assembled in advance.

The process is simple, but requires special care:

  1. First you need to assemble all the runners together, so that their recesses are turned towards the master.
  2. You need to insert the lamellas into the runners and fasten them tightly. A click will indicate that the connection is secure.
  3. Special weights are installed on the lower part of the lamellas.
  4. The chain must be attached to each element that is suspended.
  5. After the functionality has been checked, the structure can be installed.

Installation. The installation process is carried out using screws that must be screwed into the holes (they are located in the middle of the cornice).

  1. Having attached the cornice, you need to mark the holes.
  2. In these places, you need to use a hammer drill to make spaces for dowels.
  3. The last step will be to install the cornice and secure it with screws.

Installation of roller blinds

Such designs are particularly practical and functional. Their advantage over others is their compactness and ease of installation. When measuring such curtains, you should take into account the height and width of the beads. Since these blinds are attached with double-sided tape, the surface must be prepared correctly.

Installation:

  1. Before installation begins, the glazing beads should be degreased. Alcohol may be suitable for this.
  2. The roller guides should be carefully attached to the tape.
  3. Double-sided tape is used to secure the cassette box.
  4. The next step is to install the roll over the window sashes, after which they are leveled.
  5. Next, lower the curtain so that it fits into the guide grooves.
