Equipment for the production of facades. Equipment for the production of MDF facades and other accessories. Production of MDF furniture facades as a business

Depends on the furniture facade appearance products, and its final cost. At the same time, this fact is taken into account regardless of the fact that the facade details occupy only a quarter of the object itself. The technology of solid wood production itself is quite complex and requires the use of many resources.

Filling

The first stage of processing is always drying the wood. To dry all lumber intended for making furniture frame and facade, you need to use a special furniture facades from the array.

The technological process necessary in order to regulate the moisture content of the material, bringing it to optimal rate. If the wood's moisture content is approximately 10 percent, this will relieve internal stress. The use of a special chamber is extremely necessary, since the presence of cracks and other defects will depend on the quality of drying.

  • After the material is properly prepared, the production of the furniture panel begins.
  • The finished material must be cut (cut) taking into account required characteristics length and width. If there are areas with defects, they must be removed immediately. To carry out this process, use machines for the production of solid wood facades.
  • After this, the workpieces need to be spliced in length and calibrated.
  • The next stage is gluing the shields.

When you plan to manufacture a frame-paneled facade, you need to cut the canvas to make blanks for the main part of the facade. After this action, the entire perimeter of the canvas should be treated. Often used for these purposes technology for manufacturing curved solid wood facades. This action is usually called profiling; it allows you to achieve a perfectly smooth geometric shape products.

Frame

The next step will be tying the facade. The beginning of this process is calibration, for which you need. To put it simply, the main task of this manipulation will be to achieve the same size different slats and profiling the edges of workpieces. They will need to be cut transversely and brought to the specified parameters.

To process curved surfaces you will need a milling machine machine for making furniture facades. Thanks to development modern technologies, on this moment it is possible to create cutters of any shape and size, that is, any pattern that gives aesthetic appearance frame. To facilitate subsequent assembly of the product, using machines for furniture facades you need to cut out the counter profile.

Assembly

After all the elements are prepared for further work, you need to assemble the product. Ttechnology for manufacturing facades from solid wood It is quite simple; along the perimeter of the frame there are special grooves into which you need to insert a panel or other material. Customers often choose bars or glass; stained glass will also look beautiful. Nowadays it is popular to use facades created like blinds, since this allows you to create an optimal exchange air flow in the closet.

Production of furniture facades: how to organize it + types of furniture facades, their advantages and disadvantages + registration entrepreneurial activity + OKVED codes+ video production process+ equipment for plywood production + cost plan for starting a business.

Production of furniture facades is a type of business that combines engineering precision and a design approach. Furniture modules are in high demand in the consumer market. And this certainly attracts the attention of entrepreneurs and investors.

In this article we will introduce you to the main principles of organizing facade production.

2 types of furniture facades – which one to produce?

It’s high quality and can decorate a room and become its highlight. Modern approach to space planning makes furniture facades a necessary element of the interior.

Two types of facades are widely popular:

  • made from natural wood;
  • made from MDF.

Let's look at each type in more detail.

1. Wooden facades.

Facades made from natural wood are more expensive, but customers are willing to pay more for quality, durability and durability.

From a production point of view, such furniture requires more attention: wood processing, painting and polishing are done manually. The main tree species for production are ash, oak, walnut, pine and alder. It is the type of wood from which the façade is made that determines the properties of the finished product.

For example, the most resistant to mechanical damage is furniture made from oak. Therefore, this type of wood is considered the highest quality and, accordingly, expensive.

Pine furniture has pleasant aroma, but its main drawback is excessive softness. This disadvantage is also characteristic of alder furniture facades. They are more prone to scratches on the surface and therefore require delicate handling.

The most expensive option is walnut furniture. Moreover, the older the tree, the higher its price. Unlike oak, walnut is easy to manufacture, such as processing and painting. This means that the consumer has more choice color range and texture design.

Advantages and disadvantages of facades made of natural wood:

AdvantagesFlaws
Environmental safety of materials: natural wood doesn't highlight harmful substances even when exposed to temperature, which is especially important in the kitchen.Limited color/texture palette of furniture facades.
Long service life of the furniture façade with proper use and care.Requires special care.
Resistance to temperature and mechanical influences.Damaged when treated with aggressive detergents.
Possibility of repair and restoration.High price.
Refined and expensive type of furniture.Absorbs odors.

2. MDF facades.

A short background introduction for those who have not encountered the term “MDF” before.

MDF is a material that consists of compressed small sawdust. From Chipboard boards MDF has smaller chip sizes. Sawdust is connected to each other using safe adhesives: lignin and paraffin (unlike chipboard, which uses formaldehyde resins that are harmful to health for bonding).

Furniture facades made of MDF have gained immense popularity due to their environmental friendliness - as in European countries, and in Russia. They can be painted, covered with film, lined with plastic or veneer.

Let's consider each type, taking into account its advantages and disadvantages:

Facade typePeculiaritiesAdvantagesFlaws
Painted MDFIt consists of slabs painted with several layers of furniture enamel and varnished. Thanks to painting they get a rich and bright shade. Enamel creates a matte or glossy shine effect.

Painting MDF consists of several stages:
First, the surface of the slabs is covered with an insulator.
Next, primer is applied, painted and varnished.
To ensure that the slabs have a glossy shine, they are additionally sanded and polished after varnishing.

Pleasant appearance of the furniture facade.
Big choice color palettes.
Possibility of restoration.
The price is higher than that of film coating.
Furniture loses color when exposed to direct sunlight.
Paint may be damaged if abrasive or alkaline detergents are used.
Film MDFInstead of painting, the slabs are covered with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) film. The film can be glossy, matte, with a pattern, etc.The price for furniture facades with film is lower than for painted ones.
High resistance to moisture, exposure to sunlight, and mechanical damage.
Easy to care for.
The film may peel off during use high temperatures.
Easily scratched.
MDF lined with plasticPlastic has a pleasant and modern appearance, and also allows you to imitate natural textures, such as wood, marble or metal.

The surface of the plastic can be either glossy or matte.

Modern appearance.
Large selection of colors and textures.
Resistance to moisture, sunlight, mechanical stress.
Easy to maintain and clean from dirt.
Glossy surfaces may leave stains.
High price.
MDF, veneeredVeneer is sheets of wood with a thickness of 0.1 to 10 mm, obtained from blocks of wood.

Furniture facades covered natural veneer, look closest to wooden facades.

Thanks to chemical and temperature treatment, veneer acquires high strength and moisture resistance.

The look of an expensive wooden facade at a lower cost.
Resistant to mechanical stress.
The price is higher than for film and plastic facades.
Over time, the veneer may peel off from the board.
When exposed to moisture and direct sunlight, it loses its original appearance.

Facades can be classic or radius (have curved shapes). Radius housings are usually manufactured under individual order taking into account the wishes of the buyer.

The main stages of organizing the production of furniture facades

The first question that arises for people who want to start is “Where to start?”

To start your own business you will need a lot: a detailed plan for the development of the enterprise, registration of activities, search for investors, selection of premises, hiring staff and much more.

The basis for starting your own business is a carefully thought-out business plan. This document will allow you to competently organize expenses, attract investors or get a loan from a bank.

1. Structure of an enterprise business plan

1. Title page: company name, field of activity, planning period.
2. Contents of the business plan.
3. Introduction.
4. Summary: name of the project, legal form, number of employees, contact details of the project manager.
5. Setting goals.
6. Business characteristics: description of services/products, presentation of assortment, functional purpose each product, examples of use, plans for future development.
7. Product market assessment.
8. Assessing the activities and sales areas of competitors.
9. Production plan: main stages, requirements for raw materials and equipment.
10. Workers: list of required personnel, working conditions, pay, structure and composition of departments, personnel training.
11. Organizational plan: organizational and legal form of the enterprise, diagram organizational structure enterprises.
12. Legal plan.
13. Financial plan: cost, variable and fixed costs, business profitability, payback period.
14. Risk assessment and insurance.
15. Financing strategy.

To draw up a business plan, you need to have special knowledge and skills, so this process must be entrusted to a professional.

Prices for writing a business plan depend on the size of your business. On average, the initial cost of a plan for a small business is 18,000-20,000 rubles, for a medium business – from 50,000 rubles, for a large business – from 100,000 rubles.

Do not forget that it is better to entrust drawing up a plan to companies that have been working in the market for a long time and have positive experience in implementing projects. Cheap business plans without guarantee are money thrown away.

2. Registration of activities

Every entrepreneur is obliged to officially register his activities, otherwise he will face problems with the law.

Two common forms of introducing small and medium-sized businesses: individual entrepreneur ( individual entrepreneur) or LLC (limited liability company).

How they differ, see in the combined table:

Comparison criterionIPOOO
Creation procedureSimple: paying the state fee, submitting an application.More difficult: paying the state fee, submitting a notarized application, minutes of the meeting of LLC participants/decision of the sole participant.
Constituent documentsNone.Charter (complex legal document, requiring special knowledge to compile).
Constituent documentsAlone. If an LLC consists of more than one participant, then all decisions on the main areas of activity are made only at a general meeting of participants.

Opportunity to do business togetherThe merger of several individual entrepreneurs occurs only on the basis of a simple partnership agreement or a joint activity agreement. One LLC can have up to 50 members.
AuthorityLow. The abbreviation "LLC" is more trusted than "IP".High.
Opportunity to expand businessOnly due to increased sales volumes. It is possible to open new branches, subsidiaries, and merge with other companies.
Opportunity to sell a businessOnly by selling a trademark or technology. If there are several trademarks, then re-registration must be carried out for each of them.By any means. For example, with just one notary transaction you can sell a share in the authorized capital of a company that owns several trademarks.
Procedure for closing (liquidating) a businessVery simple: paying the state fee, submitting an application and a certificate from the pension fund. The process takes from 5 working days.Very difficult. Takes at least 4-6 months.
Documents required for registrationForm P21001 is a statement in which individual provides the information required for registration ( full name, address, passport details, OKVED codes).
Photocopy of all pages of the passport.
A receipt confirming payment of the state duty in the amount of 800 rubles.
Passports and identification numbers of all co-founders.
Application for registration of an LLC (form P11001).

If you have any questions about this article, we are waiting for your comments!

Before deciding to create your own facade production, you need to have a clear idea not only of one-time capital investments in equipment, but also understand what costs will be required to produce the products themselves.

This article provides only an approximate calculation of the cost of production of MDF film facades using Maxim thermo-vacuum and milling equipment. The authors do not claim completeness or accuracy of the economic research. This is more of a basic summary that will help beginners quickly understand the specifics of making furniture facades.
In your region, prices and wage levels may differ from those used in this calculation. In addition, it should be taken into account that the article was written back in 2011. Therefore, you can calculate the order of profitability and payback time yourself, based on your own current figures.
Don't forget about taxes, rent production premises and interest on loans and leasing. Besides, of course there is Consumables, such as circular saws, end mills, sanding sponges, etc. It should also be taken into account that these figures relate specifically to the production of flat facades; the production of radius facades using bent-glued technology has its own characteristics and their cost is slightly higher. Also, the presses themselves for making curved facades with a lifting table are structurally more complex and more expensive than conventional ones. However, the retail price of curved facades is many times higher than the price of conventional ones, therefore the financial attractiveness of their production is higher.

So, the main articles variable expenses The production costs of MDF film facades are as follows:

  1. MDF sheet 16 mm laminated one-sided 2800x2070mm 2100 rub. (5.8 sq. m -10% waste = 5.2 sq. m)
    – 400 rub. /sq. m The cost of facades can be significantly reduced by using conventional non-laminated MDF, the reverse side of which is laminated (lined with textured papers) using a membrane-vacuum press "Maxim DIP-2514" in the color of the PVC film on front side facade. Both the most inexpensive finishing materials and more expensive materials impregnated with formaldehyde resins are used, which do not require final finishing. finishing. In addition, film facades, the reverse side of which is covered with a textured lamination to match the facade, are sold more expensive than conventional ones with white reverse side:
    MDF sheet 16 mm 2440*1830 mm 795 rub. (4.46 sq. m -10% waste = 4 sq. m) - 200 rub./sq. m MDF sheet 10 mm 2440*1830 mm 550 rub. (4.46 sq. m -10% waste = 4 sq. m) - 138 rub./sq. m
  2. Decorative matte PVC film - 60-65 RUR/sq. m(in December 2014 this was already 140-225 rubles/sq.m.)
Decorative PVC film gloss - 100-120 rub./sq. m (in December 2014 this was already 260-390 rubles/sq.m- depending on the manufacturer and the effects of the film (3D effect, metallic, etc.), the price may be slightly higher, but the price of the facades increases proportionately)
One bookmark in a press with working table dimensions of 2500*1400 mm is 3.5 square meters. m PVC film. The actual yield in a product from one tab is usually 1.7-2.2 sq. m. That is, per 1 sq. m of finished product is spent from 1.6 to 2.0 sq. m. m of decorative film
Thus, the consumption of PVC film:
    Matte: 104-140 rub./sq. m
    Glossy: 160-240 rub./sq. m
  3. Glue 20-35 rub./sq. m
  4. Salary 70-100 (120) rub./sq.m. m(formatting and milling of MDF, applying glue, sanding, film covering)
  5. Electricity consumed by Maxim presses on full cycle heating and vacuuming in the cost structure of MDF furniture facades is actually not as significant as other factors - 0.1-0.6 kW/h * 3.00 rub. = 0.30-1.80 rub./sq. m

Total cost square meter finished product
cannot exceed ( in 2011 prices):

  • Matte facades: 594-695 rub.
  • Glossy facades: 650-795 rub. The cost of manufacturing per square meter of MDF door overlays is correspondingly lower, the actual output is higher finished products, as well as production speed.

The actual productivity of the Maxim DIP-2514 thermal vacuum press when laminating kitchen sashes with decorative film can be 60-100 sq. m of finished MDF facades per shift.

When laminating door overlays with additions and cashing, the product yield will be even greater. One door trim with preparation and laying out, it is covered with film literally in a matter of seconds. That is why in the manufacture of MDF film overlays on steel doors Double-table membrane-vacuum presses show the greatest efficiency.

Average wholesale prices for facades in the European part of Russia:

  • Matte facades: 1300 rub.
  • Glossy facades: 1750 rub.

Thus, with a full load of a hot vacuum press per shift, you can get a profit (excluding overhead costs) of no less than:

For one shift:

  • Matte facades: from (1300 – 695) 60 sq. m = 36,300 rub.
    up to (1300 - 594)
    100 sq. m = 70,600 rub.
  • Glossy facades: from (1750 – 795) 60 sq. m = 57,300 rub.
    up to (1750 – 650)
    100 sq. m = 111,000 rub.

For a month (22 working days):

  • Matte facades: 798,600 – 1,553,200 rub.
  • Glossy facades: 1,260,600 – 2,442,000 rub.

Prices for decorative film, MDF, and glue have certainly increased significantly over the past years, however, the retail and wholesale cost of finished furniture facades lined with PVC film has also increased. That's why facade production remains an equally profitable and attractive activity.

To organize the production of MDF film facades, it is necessary to separate the area for applying glue, drying, sanding and pressing the facades from the area where the facades are formatted and milled, in such a way as to completely prevent dust from entering the air. The quality of the lined surface of the facade depends on this. To speed up production, it is extremely important to organize a quick and convenient supply of workpieces from one zone to the next.

1. Area for formatting blanks (format cutting machine) – 7x4m (28 sq.m.)
2. Milling zone (copying milling machine- 3x3m) + (tables for stripping - 5x5m) = (25 sq. m)
3. Glue application area – 3x3m, preferably 4x4m (16 sq.m.)
4. Drying area for workpieces – 2x2m, preferably 4x4m (16 sq.m.)
5. Pressing area – 7x3m, it is advisable to have two cutting tables in this area (finishing, removing shagreen, blowing compressed air) 7x4m (28 sq. m)

In the USA, where marketing is considered a sacred science, almost a religion, they are convinced that driving force of any business are housewives. “In American families, formally the man manages the household budget, but in reality it is the woman,” says ironically marketer Williams Scott from Philadelphia. - The concepts of many companies take this fact into account and focus either on neutral models or models with a feminine touch. Look how companies that make kitchen furniture are thriving in America.”

And in fact, in the West, new houses and apartments have been put on display since kitchen sets However, even in the secondary market, pre-sale preparation of real estate includes updating furniture facades, primarily in kitchens. " Family women first they go to the kitchen, then to the children’s rooms, then to the bathrooms, and only then to the bedroom,” manager Eric Bormann explains the strategy for housing sales in Germany. “Single women or just married women are interested in the bedroom in conversations, but still go to the kitchen first.”

It can be said with a high degree of probability that similar biases prevail in Russia. "Demand kitchen fronts will provide for housewives, says startup community expert K.E. n. Associate Professor Igor Malyugin. - At the same time, this business is far from being as simple as it seems. It has pitfalls that have caused many startups to fail.” We decided to tell you about what an entrepreneur who has taken on a business needs to know.

There are many materials for kitchen facades. Of particular interest are the facades made of solid wood. This is a classic kitchen sets, at the same time, the high cost of this production, primarily due to the high cost of high-quality source material, sharply narrows consumer qualities. “The price of kitchen sets with solid wood facades can start from one hundred thousand rubles,” states Igor Malyugin. - And piece production of facades to order can raise the price even higher. Besides, standard facades, even the simplest country style ones require special painting" Of course, such production can only be successful if demand is stable.

Dull chipboard facades, which until recently were the main material for kitchen units in our country, are becoming a thing of the past. It is being replaced by MDF with PVC films as a coating, as well as wood and glass. The destiny of laminated chipboard is in economy class kitchens with low added value. “For small businesses, this material will not provide the required level of profitability,” says Anton Yaroshenko, an entrepreneur from the Volga region. - Given the low production volumes and level manual labor“As a rule, typical for small companies, production should be built on the basis of modern technologies - this is MDF with PVC film.” According to the expert, the high aesthetic and operational properties of such facades guarantee a decent level of profitability. However, when starting to produce such facades, you should decide on the technology of applying PVC films to MDF boards.

The king of facades is postforming

The choice of one or another technology for the production of facades determines the starting costs. For example, softforming, until recently the most popular technology among furniture makers, is leaving the scene and giving way to postforming. “The reason lies in the relative simplicity of producing high-quality facades using this method,” entrepreneur Sergei Samokhvalov is convinced. “It just requires a press, cutting and facing machines.”

At the same time, the entrance ticket to this business is expensive. For information: membrane press ORMA(Italy) costs 67,600 euros and is focused on high-quality Japanese film. The Chinese clone of this press already costs 15 thousand euros. Meanwhile, in Russia, high-quality and at the same time inexpensive presses are produced for covering furniture facades of MDF and other similar products with PVC films and natural veneer, for example, a mini-press with pneumatic lifting of the work table for radius facades Maxim DIP, which can be bought for 230 thousand rubles.

By the way, there are craftsmen who claim that you can organize the production of furniture facades for almost pennies. “I worked for several years in one of the divisions of a furniture manufacturing company,” Anatoly Komarov shares his experience at the “New Ideas in Furniture Manufacturing” business forum. - Specifically, he was engaged in the manufacture of facades for cabinet furniture, in particular, kitchen furniture. The company went down. But the developments remain." According to the entrepreneur, they later produced homemade installation for, in which “an aluminum tire is heated, and post-formed plastic bends on it. We made countertops, kitchen fronts, and bar counters. Non-standard products. Speaker housings. Branded installations cost more than $10,000. We spent about 30 thousand rubles on installation and worked for almost two years.”

Thus, to produce facades from MDF with PVC film, you will need a cutting machine and a press. Actually, you can cut slabs manually, using a power tool. The lion's share of expenses at the start will go to the press. At the same time, you can use powder coating of MDF facades, however, for this method you need to have special equipment.

“We cut blanks of facades on a format-cutting machine,” Anatoly Komarov shares his experience. - Semicircular chamfers were removed using a milling cutter. Sanded with sandpaper. On some facades, some patterns were made using a finger cutter using a template. We first tried to paint with enamels, like how cars are painted. Scary headache. There is such a bad concept -
swelling of fibers on MDF. When I covered it with primer, I polished it to a shine. When you start painting, small needles rise up. And with powder coating it worked... at a factory where there was a powder coating line metal parts. Painted on all sides in one coat. The trick was in the fastening - how to fasten the door so that there are no traces left.”

“In general, it’s a worthy cause,” Anton Yaroshenko is convinced. - Now, of course, if you have experience, you can inexpensively set up this production, say, for five hundred thousand for a very small areas. It will easily take several months to debug the technology so that there are no defects in the future. If you manage to establish sustainable sales, for example, through building materials stores, then you can make good money.”
