DIY children's slide at the dacha. Making a slide with your own hands - the best entertainment for children Homemade children's slide

Today we'll talk abouthow to do winter DIY children's slide.Let's consider detailed drawing and construction schemes, we will discuss the material and tools for the construction of this object.

The slide is the most interesting equipment for active games on the playground. You don’t have to buy expensive ones to please your child. ready-made solutions, of which there are many on the market. Today you have the opportunity to create a slide yourself. I hope the article will give you a good hint and be useful during construction.

So let's get started. From the tool - trimming, or hand saw, screwdriver, tape measure, pencil. To fasten the parts together, use wood screws.

Material - dry planed board with a thickness of at least 25 mm, or, in our case, a floor board 28 mm thick and 133 mm wide (without tenons). Our drawing is made for a board of exactly this size.

Scheme of construction of a children's slide.

Let's divide the construction of the slide into 3 stages: pedestal, ramp, stairs.

First of all, we assemble the pedestal, to which the ramp and staircase will later be attached.

We start with the side frames. If you are using a floor board, cut off the tenon.

We attach the guide for the flooring according to the dimensions indicated in the diagram.

We twist the sides together and we astil the floor.

At the second stage, we build the slide slope.

First we make the flooring for the slope. We cut boards 2000 mm long, connect them to each other - tenon into groove. We take into account the size of the pedestal opening for further fastening of the ramp; for us it is 900 mm. We lay the transverse boards for the bundle, retreating 200 mm from the edges of the slope, and twist the structure.

We prepare the sides. If you are using a floor board, it is advisable to cut off the tenon and turn the groove of the board so that it faces down. We make cuts for attaching to the pedestal.

We connect the sides with the slope

We screw the ramp to the pedestal.

The third stage - we install the stairs. First, we prepare 2 guides for the stairs.

We fix the guides on the pedestal.

We screw the thresholds. Threshold height 200 mm, quantity 4 pcs.

It's hard to find a child who doesn't love to ride downhill. On a sled or snow scooter, on a car tire or modern cheesecakes, all children love to have fun rolling down the mountains, surprising adults with their courage and tirelessness. But very often slides located within city limits do not meet all safety standards. That's why modern parents they are simply afraid to let their children ride on such children's slides. What to do in this case? Ban children from playing outside? In no case! You can build a slide yourself!

Let's look at a few simple ways creating a slide for a child with your own hands at home.

  1. Ice slide. With the onset of winter, crowds of children fill all the snowy slopes. But such skiing is not always safe. Very often, slides are located near the roadway. To protect your child from possible injuries and other unpleasant situations, you can make an ice slide yourself. For this you will need:
    • shovel;
    • water;
    • bucket;
    • metal spatula.
    The first thing you need to do is choose a location for the future ice mountain. Firstly, the territory where it will be located children's entertainment, should be located away from busy highways and parking areas. Secondly, you need to decide on the height of the slide. If you plan for children under the age of three to ride on it, then it is preferable to make a slide no more than one meter high. Thirdly, the angle of inclination of the ice structure should not exceed forty degrees. In this case, it will be possible to avoid frequent cases childhood traumatism. Fourthly, it is better to build a mountain in well-lit places. In winter it gets dark very early, so it is preferable to choose an area near which there are Street lights or spotlights.

    Once the area has been selected, begin clearing the area for the future route with a shovel. Excess fragments can be removed using a metal spatula. If you are making a slide for kindergarten-aged children, it is preferable to make sides along the entire length of the track so that children do not have the opportunity to fly off the mountain while riding.

    After the place for the slide has been cleared, proceed to one of the most time-consuming work - the formation of an ice track. A spray bottle will help you with this. Type into product warm water, and then evenly treat the entire surface of the future slide. Make sure there are no uneven spots on it. Otherwise, bumps will form on the slide, which will negatively affect both the quality of the ride and the health of the children. After the slide has dried slightly, fill a bucket with water at room temperature and pour the slide from top to bottom. Make sure that the liquid is evenly distributed on the surface. After this, leave the slide to freeze until the morning. If you have the opportunity, make a wide platform for the children from which they will go down the mountain, as well as steps that are comfortable for children’s feet.

  2. Home slide. You will probably not find a single child who has not at least once built a pile of their improvised materials. Help your children in such a difficult task! Build a home slide with them! To build it you will need:
    • old desk;
    • cabinet door (preferably varnished);
    • plywood;
    • small planks (you can use table legs or pieces from the handle of a shovel).
    To build a home slide, you will have to make room, preferably in the corner of the room, so that the new children's entertainment does not interfere with those at home. We will use the varnished door as a sliding surface, plywood as a staircase. It is necessary to nail the legs from the table or pieces from the handle of the shovel to the surface of the plywood at the minimum possible distance. You can initially fix a couple of boards and then have the children try out the ladder. After you make the rise and fall, they will need to be attached to the tabletop using loops and hooks. Children will be able to slide down such a mountain on pillows, bedspreads, and mattresses. Now they definitely won’t be bored if the weather outside is inclement.
  3. Wooden slide. If your little ones very often visit their grandparents at the dacha, or you live in country house, then you can build a slide on fresh air on one's own. Of course, many advanced parents purchase entire children's complexes. But firstly, it is very expensive. Secondly, just imagine what kind of hero you will look like in the eyes of your son or daughter if you yourself build a miracle slide for them to play.

    Basic rules when building a children's slide:

    • It doesn’t matter at all how old your children are: one year or twelve years, the slide must be equipped with safe railings and fences;
    • For the construction of the slide, choose only environmentally friendly components that will not harm the health of children. Never use flammable materials.
    • When building a slide for children, it is preferable to use wood rather than metal structures. Firstly, a wooden slide can be absolutely safely placed anywhere on the site. Metal structure will have to be placed exclusively in the shade, because It heats up easily, which can cause thermal burns in children. If we consider plastic, it is quite fragile. In any case, a wide range of plastic slides are presented in online stores and at very high prices. affordable prices. Therefore, there is no point in “reinventing the wheel.”
    • Pay special attention to the safety of the children's structure. Remove all gaps and cracks where children can stick their arms, legs, or heads. Before letting your children play with the slide on their own, think through all the nuances to avoid sad consequences.
    So, when we have decided that we will build a children's slide from wood, we need to start choosing materials.

    You will need:

    • grinder or grinding disc;
    • five planks (length 2.2 meters);
    • five bars (length 45 cm);
    • two beams (70 cm each).
    First we make the base for the descent. To do this, we will need boards planed to the same width. To make it comfortable for children to slide down the slide, the slope must be carefully polished. The planks, ready for lowering, are fastened together with beams.

    After we have made the descent from the mountain, we need to start building the side parts of the structure. Initially, you need to decide on the height and angle of inclination of the mountain. Standard sizes All factory designs of children's slides are: height 1.3 meters and angle of inclination 55 degrees. We cut out the side parts so that they fit on the top floor of the slide. The finished sides must be secured on both sides of the mountain using self-tapping screws. Then we sand the sides of the slide and remove all the corners. This will allow us to protect our children from possible abrasions, cuts, fractures and other troubles.

    The final stage of work is painting the slide and securing the supports. The surface of the structure can be covered with stain and then with varnish. After painting, let the children's slide dry for 24 hours. During this time, not only will the paint dry, but it will also disappear bad smell. After this, it is necessary to proceed to the final stage - installing the supports. They are initially buried and then concreted. It is the supports that will serve as some kind of guideline for you, relative to which you will attach other parts of the slide. IN last resort the base of the product is fixed. That's it, homemade wooden slide ready!

Making a slide with your own hands is not that difficult. This will require available tools, materials, as well as several hours of your free time. However, the sincere children's delight, joy and fun that this traditional entertainment will give your children cannot be compared with anything. Become a wizard for your child, give him a real fairy tale!

Skiing down the mountain is a favorite pastime for children of all ages, and only adults can provide them with convenience and comfort in this activity, and they will have more than enough fun and enthusiasm. A slide can be built from a variety of available materials, and which ones will be discussed in this article.

What is needed for a slide

In order to make a slide with your own hands, you can use metal, plastic, wood, as well as scrap materials left over from an old cabinet and desk. With even a little imagination, you can build a real miracle from them and place them in the corner of the children's room to the delight of your baby.

You can make a slide for your child from an old desk.

For this you will need:

  • varnished cabinet door;
  • plywood sheet;
  • small boards, which can be pieces of a shovel handle, legs from a table or chair.

Manufacturing stages:

Making a snow slide

Making a mountain with your own hands out of snow is very simple. The main thing is to wait until the temperature outside approaches about 0 ᵒC. And, of course, it is important to have sufficient quantity snow.

You will also need:

  • shovel made of metal or plastic;
  • construction spatula, scraper;
  • bucket or watering can;
  • warm mittens.

Manufacturing stages:

  1. The primary task is to determine the location of such a homemade attraction. To minimize injuries, it is imperative to ensure that you roll out onto a level area so that
    the child could roll evenly until it came to a complete stop.
  2. The height of the slide is determined based on the age of the skaters. For children under 3 years old, a height of 1 meter will be enough, and for older children you can build a higher slope, the main thing is that the slope does not exceed 40 degrees.
  3. Roll several large balls and form them into the foundation of a future building. If you plan to make a fairly high slide, then you should think about how the children will climb it. The problem can be solved by making the same snowballs that can be laid at the foot in the form of steps.
  4. Use a spatula and scrapers to level the surface of the steps and leave the structure until cold weather sets in.
  5. The slide should be filled in cold weather. It is not recommended to use buckets or a hose for this, as there is a high risk of large holes forming. It is better to use a regular garden watering can or the one that housewives use to water indoor plants.
  6. Using a piece of plywood or a shovel with a wide working part, slowly pour water onto the structure. Or you can cover the raised area with a large piece of fabric and pour through it - this will help the liquid to be distributed more evenly over the snow.
  7. If you don’t have anything at hand except a bucket, then you need to mix the water in it with snow and cover the surface with this very slurry, leave it to freeze overnight, and repeat the procedure in the morning.
  8. That's it, the slide is ready. If necessary, potholes can be smoothed out with a spatula.

A children's slide is an excellent option for entertainment, especially in the countryside or local area. It is not difficult to make such a design, and independent work will cost much less than purchasing a ready-made slide in a store. Now we will tell you how to make a slide with your own hands, what you should pay attention to and what nuances to consider.

Material selection

The most common material options include plastic, metal and wood. We will not use the first two, since plastic is quite expensive (as a rule, these are ready-made slide designs), and metal will not be practical due to its high thermal conductivity. In summer it gets very hot, and in cold seasons it becomes icy almost instantly. So we will make our own slide from wood.

Care should be taken to ensure that the slide is positioned in such a way that there is approximately 2 meters around it. free space. This is necessary to ensure safety so that children do not get injured while playing. Having chosen a suitable location, we will start designing the slide.

By by and large the project depends solely on the size of the free space in the local area, the availability of material and your desire. We give you examples of several popular designs, but you can easily plan own version. The main thing is to take careful measurements and mark everything on the diagram.

We draw attention to a number of important points:

  • Focus on the height and age of the child;
  • Consider the steepness of the slope;
  • You may want to include a few bends in the slope.

The slide is made with your own hands from wooden beam 100*100 mm, 30*30 mm, 20*40 mm, as well as 25*100 mm boards, which will act as flooring and steps. We assume the length of the slide to be approximately 3 meters and the height of the structure to be approximately 1.5 meters. Having prepared the material in accordance with the dimensions indicated in your drawing, proceed to preparing the site.

We clear a square or rectangle on the site with sides according to the dimensions of the slide. This will be the place to install the supports. It is also advisable to clear the entire play area immediately as this can be difficult once the structure is erected.

We drill holes in the corners of the intended square or rectangle to a depth of approximately 60-70 cm. We compact the bottom of the holes and cover them with a small layer (5-10 cm) of a mixture of sand and crushed stone for greater strength and stability.

Now we lower the racks into the holes and be sure to fasten them with a planed board at a distance of about 10 cm from the ground. This will ensure the strength of the structure and it will not wobble. Use assistants who will hold the supports during fastening work. Also, do not forget to maintain a strict vertical using building level. In this way we install all the supports (in our case there are four, but you can use more) and fasten them together with boards around the perimeter. For greater strength, it is recommended to make a kind of lower platform from another set of boards, making sure to attach them to the main supports. This platform has no practical value, but with it, your own slide will be much stronger. However, on this site you can build something like a storage facility for toys, but that’s another story.

Installation of the upper floor

Secure the boards at the intended level, similar to the structure you made at the bottom of the slide. Now we take a 20*40 mm beam and install a platform based on these boards close to each other or with small gaps (10-15 mm). Be sure to provide for fastening the beam to the support posts. This can be done using metal corners. This area is covered with a 25*100 mm board, which is nailed very tightly and without gaps to the bars on top. The floor of the upper platform is ready.

You can, of course, immediately attach a plastic slope to the resulting structure, but we will not deviate from the project and will continue to use wood. So, we take two boards with a thickness of at least 30 mm and a length of about 3 meters (as provided for in the projects) and fasten them together with transverse boards 25 * 100 mm. Pay attention to the strength of the connection and maintaining right angles so that your slope does not turn out crooked. The pitch of the transverse board can be left approximately 20-30 mm. This way we will have the base of the slope, which can be covered with plywood or boards that should be polished.

At this stage, you will only secure the material for the slope, and then it will need to be processed. We'll talk about this later. Sometimes people who are interested in the question of how to make a children's slide choose a sheet of galvanized steel as a covering for the slope. This is, of course, a good, slippery option, but very susceptible to atmospheric influence, for example, temperature changes. We'll stop at wooden version, although you can use the material of your choice. Fundamentally, all installation work will not change.

Now we attach the slope to the base. You can simply grind off the edge of the board at the required angle, but for reliability it is recommended to cut special grooves, as shown in the figure. After installation, the parts are fastened with nails. Choose the angle of inclination at your discretion, which is for children younger age It is recommended to make a not too steep descent.

An important point: the lower edge of the ramp must be made in the form of a kind of “springboard” and raised above the ground at a level of approximately 20 cm. This is necessary so that the child does not hit the ground after descending, but, let’s say, “fly” some distance. A springboard can be made from additional boards by assembling simple design with a slight rounding inner side. Thus, the end of the entire descent should be either straight or directed slightly upward.

We cover the springboard with a coating and be sure to round off the front sides of the boards using grinder. We install the slope on a transverse beam, approximately 20 cm high, and fasten it with corners. It is advisable to strengthen the beam by burying two small racks into the ground, but if the structure has sufficient weight, this is not a necessary procedure.

Ladder

To make the stairs, he uses the same parts as in the previous stage. First, determine the angle of inclination of the stairs, and then mark the angle of fastening of the steps. They must be strictly horizontal when the entire structure is ready. The steps are fastened with nails.

From additional boards we construct railings for the stairs and the upper landing itself. Racks for stair railings needs to be made additionally, and the railings of the upper platform will be attached to the main posts of the slide.

The lower edges of the stairs must be protected with an additional cross board. It is advisable to make small racks, digging them into the ground to strengthen the structure.

Finishing work

Wood for a children's slide with your own hands must be carefully polished. Avoid chips or other damage. It is advisable to treat wood with a special varnish, and in several layers. This is especially true for the ramp - the most used element. To save varnish, the base of the slide can be painted acrylic paint, but for handrails and ramps, varnish is best suited.

Remember to let each coat of varnish dry thoroughly before applying the next. Ensure the uniformity of the coating and carefully process all parts, even the most inaccessible places.

Provide safety and convenience for children. We have already cleared the area, now we need to take care of the softness. You can cover the entire area with a special rubber tiles- It is soft enough to prevent injury. Even if you do not have the opportunity to use such a coating, pour piles of clean, sifted sand in front of the slope. To prevent sand from spreading around the site, you can make a kind of sandbox from the boards left over from construction.

Care

So, now you know how to build a slide for children with your own hands, but do not forget that it requires regular maintenance. Intensive use of the slide is from late spring to mid-autumn. Try to check the surface at least once every two weeks, excluding obvious damage, which children should definitely tell you about. If the surface is worn out (especially important for slopes), you should thoroughly clean it, check for chips and re-varnish it. You should not save money - repair the entire surface at once, and not parts of it, since in the future you will have to do double work.

When the slide is not in use, it is advisable to cover it with polyethylene and secure it with ropes. It is better to take opaque polyethylene to protect the slide from direct sunlight. Be sure to check the surface after winter - temperature changes may cause unevenness or structural parts to become loose.

Children's slide in the country or in the local area - great fun, but you can interest children not only in this, but also in the construction process itself. As you can see, building it with your own hands is not difficult and the children will be happy to help you with this. Just don’t forget about safety and regular maintenance of the structure.

If you have children and country cottage area, then it’s definitely worth building a slide on it. While parents are gardening or cooking barbecue, the kids will have fun on the mini playground. Read about how to plan and make a slide with your own hands, using photo and video instructions in practice.

Height and safety

The slide on the site should first of all be safe for children of different ages. So, for children under 2 years old the height of the slide is only 1.5 meters, for children from 2 to 7 years old the height is about 2.5 m, and for teenagers 3-3.5 meters. The steps on the slide ladder should be wide, and the rungs should be located close to each other. Further, the staircase design must be equipped with handrails of any type: after climbing the slide, the child must hold on to something.

Advice! To ensure that the slide serves more than one generation of children and is safe on the stairs, an anti-slip coating is laid around it. The covering protects children from injuries when climbing during rain, snow or after swimming in the pool.

Another important stage in creating a safe slide is calculating the weight of the children who will ride on it:

  1. The slide is secured to a base or supports that can easily support the weight of 2-3 children.
  2. A level gutter is responsible for safety during descent; it is good to make sides on the sides to prevent the child from falling out.
  3. All bolts, chips, chips or sharp corners on the children's slide are excluded. The wood is sanded so that the child does not drive a splinter.

Advice! Under the gutter along which the child descends, a soft piece is placed - this lawn grass, a mound of sand or soft covering.

Choosing a place to place a children's slide

The slide is placed in the place where it opens good review from any point on the site. But make sure that the place for games is not in the very hot sun. In the case of such an arrangement, it is worth thinking about building a canopy.

Advice! The canopy is made of polycarbonate, and a regular beach umbrella is also suitable for a low slide.

Wood slide

Slide from natural wood distinguished by its environmental friendliness and ease of installation, it consists of the following elements:

  1. Base.
  2. Staircase with railings.
  3. Descent.
  4. Top platform and protective parts.

Such a slide can be complemented by a whole of labyrinths, beams, sandbox or mini rooms with entrances and exits. The construction of a wooden slide involves the selection of high-quality raw materials and their normal processing.

The ramp is made of plywood, pre-coated with varnish to hide sanding errors. Support structure It is made of timber, and the steps are made of strong boards.

Important! Today, there are a variety of ramps available for sale, made of durable plastic, fiberglass or wood. The minimum price of a stingray is 1.5-2 thousand rubles. The best option is to create a supporting structure for the slide and then install a flat or spiral slope.

A wooden slide is good for everyone, but located in an open space, after 3-5 years it can dry out, be damaged by insects or mold. Wood rots from rain, and the situation can be saved by covering each structural element with a thick layer of varnish. But after winter and hot summer, the slide should be inspected, identifying dry or cracked parts.

Metal slide

Previously, metal slides stood in every yard, distinguished by their strength and durability. Such designs are more reliable, because they are not afraid of the hot sun, rain, or frost.

The construction of such a slide is carried out in several stages:

  1. The most primitive foundation is poured; you can immediately pour 4 support pipes, as is done when installing fences.
  2. Next, the stairs and railings are welded onto 2 pipes on one side, the remaining 2 pipes are used to attach the gutter.
  3. A platform is welded onto all pipes.

Important! Gutter is 2 metal pipes, to which a curved sheet of metal is welded. After assembling the slide, all welded seams must be ground; a grinder is used for this purpose.

After completing the assembly of the structure, the slide can be painted with plain paint or painted. The metal gets very hot under the sun, so on hot days it is worth covering the slide with a beach umbrella to prevent children from burning their skin.

A simple slide can be made using a descent from a house, which is also built with your own hands, using timber or leftover building materials:

  1. B 4 old car tires Concrete piles are mounted and on which beams of the required height are installed vertically. The beams are secured with construction corners.
  2. A frame for the house is installed along the perimeter of the posts, with holes for entry through the stairs and exit through the slide.
  3. After this, a light but durable ladder, a chute for descent, the floor and walls of the future house are installed. The elements are attached using self-tapping screws, and the entire wooden structure must be coated with an antiseptic.
  4. Holes are drilled at the joints of the beams, tightening the structure with 120 mm bolts.
  5. Next, stack rafter elements from timber for the roof. The final roof covering is made of corrugated sheets. Decorative tiles made from ordinary colored foam are often used.

The last stage is to cover the entire structure with a layer of varnish.

How much does a finished slide cost?

To avoid the hassle of making it, you can simply purchase a slide:

  • Inflatable slide for the little ones. Such a slide perfect solution for small children, because it can be equipped with a shallow pool, mini trampoline or educational elements. The cost of an inflatable slide starts from 4 thousand rubles, usually it has a height of more than 1.4 m. The advantages of the slide are its mobility, resistance to temperature changes, and after the child grows up, the inflatable center can be sold at a profit.
  • Play complexes are made of plastic, in some cases combined with wood. This type of city is more expensive, and the minimum cost starts at 4.5 thousand rubles for the most primitive model. But plastic slides can combine a swing, parallel bars that develop the muscle corset, a basketball basket and much more. Thanks to the fastening system, the height of the gutter can be adjusted to suit the age and height of the child.

Creating a children's slide is a creative process, and a full-fledged play area requires a swing, a sandbox and even a football goal. But to build these elements children's corner much cheaper on your own, because buying finished product requires 60% more material resources.
