How to make a bath bomb at home? Making a bath bomb with your own hands - a recipe. How to make a citric acid-free bomb. Bath bombs: how to make them Bath bombs recipe without oil

I love taking baths and I love bubble bombs. They are so pleasant, and the bubbles tickle the skin so gently, as if you are in a mini jacuzzi.

There is only one thing, but in stores they are very expensive, and you don't want to spend 200 rubles, and sometimes even 600 rubles in one bath. I found a way out - I started making these bombs myself! In addition, in this I found my hobby, because there is such a scope for creativity. And now there is always something to give to friends, relatives and acquaintances 😀

Bombs are made quite easily: nothing supernatural is needed to create them, everything can be found at home or in the nearest stores.

The recipes are quite different, but the main ingredients remain the same - citric acid and soda. It is thanks to their interaction that such a reaction is obtained. We also need a mold, but you can use a regular ping-pong ball cut in half, molds for candy and ice, children's molds for sand and the like.

Auxiliary components: how to add more volume, mass, usefulness and beauty to bombs

Also, for volume, mass and additional usefulness, you can put dry fillers such as sea salt, sugar, different colored clay, milk powder, starch, oat and rice powder (you can make it yourself), ubtan, Ayurvedic powders, ground teas, coffee, cocoa (I just adore the latter, the whole bathroom is filled with a heady aroma). In general, everything that is possible.

Extracts can also be added for usefulness. They can be dry, in the form of green tea, calendula, lotus, sage. They can be oily, propylene glycol and glycerin.

As I said, bombs are a space for creativity, so I add everything that only catches my eye: sparkles, glitters, bath pearls, rose petals. I also paint them in different colors using common food dyes, soap dyes, mineral pigments. I usually buy all these bells and whistles in Leonardo, or in the nearest art store.

The recipe for the simplest bomb

But do not be alarmed, all this does not have to be used, for a simple bomb you only need citric acid + soda in a ratio of 2: 1, add the rest of the ingredients as much as you want (except for oil, you need to be careful with it and add no more than a tablespoon of 5 st l soda and 2.5 tbsp citric acid). Everything! The rest is a flight of fantasy.

P.S. Be sure to read the recipe below, where I describe the manufacturing process in great detail.

ATTENTION! Before mixing the ingredients, it is imperative to wear gloves and preferably a mask with goggles, since citric acid is very volatile and can irritate mucous membranes.

Now I will share with you a recipe for my most beloved and basic bomb.

  • Soda (5 tablespoons)
  • Citric acid (2.5 tablespoons). Moreover, citric acid should be in the form of a powder, and not in the form of a liquid.
  • Sea salt (1 tablespoon)
  • Some kind of base oil (1 tablespoon). I love using coconut because I love the smell of it. You can also use olive, peach, cocoa butter.
  • Essential oil (10 drops). Again, any, according to your taste. I usually use mandarin, cinnamon, ylang ylang, mint oil.

ATTENTION! All containers and all utensils that you use must be completely dry so as not to cause a premature reaction.

So let's get started. The first step you need to mix citric acid with soda. If you are using regular citric acid, then you need to grind it additionally in a coffee grinder (the same can be done with soda, but not necessary). There is also a special ready-made citric acid for making bombs, it is much smaller, but if you grind it too, the bomb will stick better. After grinding and mixing the ingredients, you need to wait a while until the "dust" settles.

The second step add sea salt to the mixture. It should be fine or ground. By the way, sea salt can be with the addition of herbs, colored or some kind of tasty smelling. All this will be a plus for our bomb.

On third step add the base oil first, and then drip the essential oil. We mix everything well, the mixture should be easy to mold and look like wet sand.

In principle, everything, our mixture is ready. But I also like to add various dyes to give the bomb a color. Usually I divide the mixture in half, paint one part and leave the other white. Also at this step you can add sparkles, glitters, dry petals.

Last step- put the mixture in molds (or in halves of a ball). Try to add more mixture to one half so that your bomb does not collapse when disconnected. The two halves must be tightly fastened together and left to dry and fasten for several hours or even a whole day. It is better to dry in a cool place, but not warm (verified by personal experience).

You need to store such bombs in a dry room (in no case in the bathroom), the shelf life is several years.

Possible manufacturing errors

  1. The bomb is broken or cracked

All due to the fact that you did not hold the mass together well. Next time you need to add more oil, or thoroughly grind the baking soda and citric acid (if you have not done this before).

  1. The mixture falls out (flows) out of the mold

Do it in a too humid room, or on wet dishes, or the water got in accidentally. The solution is to put it in the refrigerator or in the freezer.

  1. During drying, the bomb flattens or deforms

If you don't succeed the first time, or if there are some difficulties, do not worry, everything will come with experience. At the initial stages, I was faced with all the problems that I described, and subsequently I got my hands on it and now everything turns out perfectly every time. And you will succeed. Good luck to you!

Often, after an exhausting day at work, you so want not just to relax, but to receive an explosion of positive energy that can return us strength, interests and desires. Is there such a way? It turns out - there is. They are loved by everyone.

Yes, it is the desire to take a soothing aromatic warm bath that overcomes us at the end of the working day. Best of all, of course, it would be in one of the modern spas. But you still need to transfer your mortal body there. And the strength is already running out ... This is where we can try the notorious bath bombs. Moreover, they are sold in any store in a wide range. And according to the manufacturers, bombs can not only relax the whole body, but also make the skin velvety and soft. But most often in the manufacturing process they use technical soda, and not food, as well as dyes based on chemicals, which not only cannot be beneficial, but also cause significant harm to the delicate skin of the body. But at home, they can be made from natural ingredients, which will only enhance the positive qualities of the product. If you decide to make your own bath bombs, then you will not only be able to get a cosmetic and therapeutic agent for skin care, but you will also be able to avoid the risk of aggressive exposure to chemicals and allergies. But the calm use of cosmetics, the composition of which is well known, enhances their effect a hundredfold, because the body responds better to them. And besides, it is much cheaper, because such a tool costs a lot of money with its scanty volume, but purchasing the most useful natural ingredients for hand-made bombs, the result will still be much cheaper, and even with a supply of ingredients for re-manufacturing the product.

Recipes for such a do-it-yourself bath bomb are described in many women's magazines and forums, including for young mothers, according to whose reviews they give amazing results. These geysers, as bombs are also called, have become very popular not only for their usefulness, but also for their spectacular dissolution process, accompanied by active hissing and bubbling. Such violent actions are due to the content of citric acid and soda in the product, which enter into a similar reaction. What can we say about essential oils, various extracts, sea salt, which have a beneficial effect on the skin and the general well-being of a person.

Seething Bomb Recipe

To make such a bath bomb at home, you will need:

  • 10 tbsp. spoons of baking soda
  • 5 tbsp. tablespoons of citric acid
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sea salt
  • food coloring (to your taste),
  • 25 drops of essential oil (also to your taste),
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of dry cream,
  • dried or fresh herbs (pre-shredded).

It is advisable to carry out all work with gloves, and mixing must be carried out in a glass container. Many women advise using round ice cube trays to decorate a product as a bomb mold. So, putting on gloves, in a glass container until a homogeneous mass is formed, mix citric acid and soda. Further food colors of the selected colors, sea salt, essential oils and olive oil are added. Chopped medicinal herbs and powdered cream are added to the mixture. The mass is mixed until smooth. The degree of mixing is determined by the ability of the components to bind: the finished product is easily molded. If the consistency remains crumbly, then you will need to add a little more water. However, if you overdo it, a reaction can occur, which will subsequently make the homemade bath bombs ineffective. When the hiss does start, you will have to add a little soda and acid again. The resulting mixture is formed into balls - the shape of future bath bombs.

Then the workpieces are tamped tightly into molds. As molds for bombs, ice trays, tennis balls cut into two halves and even children's hollow toys, silicone baking tins and egg crate cells are used. Then they are left to dry, and after 25 minutes they are carefully and carefully removed from the mold. If the bath bombs are made correctly, then they can be removed easily, the balls will not fall apart in the hands. On the eve of the holidays, you can prepare such cosmetics as a gift for your friends. They will definitely like them, especially if they are given the shape of a heart.

Relaxing Bath Bomb

Depending on the ingredients used, special properties can be imparted to this product. This is how you can achieve a relaxing experience with a lavender bath bomb. The recommended composition of the recipe ingredients is as follows:

  • 4 tbsp. spoons of baking soda
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of citric acid
  • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sea salt
  • 3 tbsp. tablespoons of milk powder,
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of wheat germ oil,
  • 25 drops of lavender oil
  • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of crushed dry lavender.

To make lavender bath bombs, you first choose a convenient container. Deep mows, for example, are well suited. Again, at the initial stage, the powders of soda and citric acid are mixed. After that, milk powder is added and everything is stirred until a homogeneous mass, into which wheat germ oil is slowly poured in drops.

Then the mixture is slowly supplemented with lavender essential oil. After that, sea salt and lavender herb powder are mixed into it. Behind them comes the turn of water. You should be especially careful with it and add it with a spray bottle, lightly spraying and stirring the mixture with a spoon at the same time. The amount of water is determined by the moment of hissing, which is a signal that the product is ready. This moment is important not to miss to get a truly bubbling bath bombs.

Instructions: how to make bath bombs

These two recipes confirm that baking soda (baking soda), acid (citric), and dyes (also food grade) are the main ingredients in bath bombs. Most often, sea salt and fillers in the form of dried flowers and other useful components are also added. Moreover, the classic ratio of soda and acid in all recipes is two to one. All other ingredients are added as desired in the right amount. The variety of ingredients can be astounding: from confetti inside the product to surprises in a big bomb. For example, a hissing reaction begins in it and, after the product's shell gradually dissolves, a rubber duck for a bath or any other toy slowly appears inside. You can use the typical instructions for making bath bombs. Moreover, it is recommended to carefully weigh all the necessary ingredients, for example, using electronic scales, because it is unlikely that it will be possible to observe the required proportion by eye. Then you can take a blender or mixer, with the help of which the whole mass is alternately chopped and mixed. Moreover, when mixing baking soda and citric acid, it is recommended to be especially careful. When using citric acid, do not allow it to get into the eyes or into the respiratory tract. Some authors even recommend using respirators and working in well-ventilated rooms, since the bath geyser hiss due to the reaction of soda with acid and water, and citric acid is classified as a fairly active substance. Before making a bath bomb, it is recommended to thoroughly grind all other ingredients. Of course, any decorations, such as flower petals, toys and other tinsel, cannot be crushed. And one general rule applies to all other components: the smaller they are, the stronger the reaction of the hiss of the bombs will be. To mix the entire resulting mass together and form balls, especially when there are skin diseases such as eczema, or there are unhealed wounds, you need to wear gloves. And when there are no skin problems, then you can do everything with your bare hands, despite the advice in other recipes. After all, in fact, a product is being made for the same body skin, so why protect yourself? And in the event of an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients, we will be able to limit the area affected by the irritant at the preparatory stage, and not immersed in it with the whole body. The addition of small amounts of essential oils cannot be combined with fragrances. When a small drop of water is added to the mixture with a teaspoon, the resulting mixture will slowly sizzle. At this point, it is important to start stirring the product again in order to extinguish the premature reaction in time. Then a test for viscosity is done: a small lump of the mixture is taken and slightly compressed.

If at the same time there is a feeling of similarity with wet sand, then this confirms the readiness of the bath bombs to be packed into a mold. If desired, you can put petals and herbs in the mold as a decoration. Then the resulting mixture is poured into the halves of the mold and tamped tightly. On one half of the mold, small slides of the mixture are poured into the cells, which will allow both halves to penetrate into each other during bonding.

These little things are very important to make quality bath bombs. A master class, step-by-step instructions, photo galleries and video clips will help you take into account all the details of the process and prevent common mistakes. So, according to the advice of the masters, further you need to take both halves and squeeze them tightly with your hands, holding for at least 15 seconds.

Then the halves are fastened along the edges with clamps and left for several hours, and according to some advice, even for the whole day. You can also put the form on a heating battery or in the sun. So the products will dry out faster and deeper, which is very important for them. After drying, the molds are gently opened. If tennis balls or toy eggs were used, then you need to take the mold in your left hand, firmly hold one half of the mold, and with your right hand make smooth circular movements of the other part of the mold. After that, the bombs are considered ready. They can be used for your own benefit and pleasure. Ready-made bombs are stored as standard - in dry, cool places. And an excess of moisture can lead to a loss of the quality of the product: it will either go out prematurely and will not give any reaction at all in the bath, or it will react very weakly.

Recipe: DIY Bath Bombs

This popular, simple bath bombs recipe can be varied and customized. You can, for example, replace cream and milk powder with starch or oatmeal. In the choice of the aroma and color of the bomb, there are also no rigid prescriptions: everything is to your taste. Any reasonable experimentation will only improve the quality of the product. Many women really liked the recipe with the composition of essential oils. For such bombs you need to prepare:

  • baking soda (4 tablespoons),
  • citric acid (2 tablespoons),
  • powdered milk (1 tablespoon),
  • sea salt (1 tbsp. spoon),
  • peach base oil (2 tablespoons),
  • bergamot essential oil (10 drops),
  • rosemary essential oil (10 drops)
  • heather dried flowers.

In the process of preparing the product, there are no special subtleties. First, the soda is sifted so that there are no lumps and poured into a dry, clean bowl. Then citric acid, powdered cream and sea salt are added, which must first be ground in a coffee grinder. All ingredients are thoroughly mixed to distribute the ingredients evenly. Powdered milk with sea salt can be used as a filler, as well as starch and many other components, but all in compliance with the proportions. After mixing the powders, peach oil is added to them, which can be equivalently replaced with olive or almond oil. In a separate bowl, the base oil is mixed with bergamot and rosemary essential oils. A good effect is given by the addition of a few drops of oil vitamins E and A.

The resulting oil mass is added to the main powder mixture and everything is thoroughly mixed by hand. At the same time, in most instructions on how to make bath bombs, it is recommended not to abuse the amount of water so as not to provoke the onset of a reaction. Then a pinch of dried heather is placed on the bottom of the mold, and the mixture is laid on it in layers with a teaspoon. Heather can be replaced with oatmeal, dry cornflowers, rose petals, coffee beans. Often, instead of special forms for bombs, children's plastic sandbox molds, cases for chocolate eggs, and candy balls are used. But at the same time, the form should not bend. After drying, the pop will be ready to use. But on the storage of ready-made bombs, there is advice to wrap them in cling film, which will retain the aroma of essential oils and will not allow the level of humidity to be disturbed.

Such a cosmetic product cannot fail to interest lovers of homemade natural cosmetics. The main thing is to get down to business more boldly, and the opportunity to get a geyser and even a volcano of pleasure from a bath with such bombs will not be long in coming!

Composition:

  • 1 cup plain baking soda
  • 0.5 cups dry citric acid
  • 0.5 cups quality cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp almond oil
  • 3 tbsp Epsom salts (for reference, this salt is used to soften the skin and general relaxation. It contains beneficial mineral salts and is also often called English)
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 15 drops of essential essential
  • Several sprigs of dry lavender
  • Bomb molds or suitable plastic molds that do not contain toxic substances. Food grade plastic is a good option.

To prepare bath bombs, you need to mix: soda, acid, salt, starch and dried lavender (pre-crushed). Water, almond and essential oils are also mixed separately. Only then can all these components be combined and mixed to a uniform consistency. If the mixture does not mix very well, you can spray a little water on it with an aerosol.

At the same time, a very important condition is the need to ensure that there is not enough water, otherwise the future bomb will not freeze as it should and even begin to hiss ahead of time. Next, the resulting mass must be placed in a mold until it hardens completely (at least two hours). Then they can be removed from the containers and laid out on a soft towel until completely dry.

Making colorful bath bombs

We mix acid, sifted starch and soda.

Divide the resulting mixture into different plates. The number of such parts depends on how many colors we want to use.

We add a little food coloring to each vessel (since it has not yet been mixed with water, it is important to make sure that it does not get too much, because the true color can be seen already when the water is added).

We introduce essential oils (you can smell one, or you can experiment). The main thing in this business is not to overdo it, because you then take a bath in these smells.

Add almond oil. We mix everything very well.

Using a spray bottle, spray the mixture with water until the mass is perfectly molded in your hands. But we also make sure that there is not too much water. We add it gradually, in several steps.

Fill the shapes with the resulting mixture, experimenting with colors and pressing the mass tightly.
Let it dry for an hour and remove it from the container, spreading it out on a soft towel. In this form, the bombs should dry out for about four hours.

  • 2 tbsp avocado oils;
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp Spanish cherry essential oil (or any other oil you want)
  • 4 molds for future bombs
  • 4 decorative cherry colors

We mix all dry ingredients.

Then add the liquid components, stirring the mass each time, after adding each ingredient.

Place the flower face down on the bottom of the mold. We fill the form with mass, compacting it tightly. Let stand for an hour.

Then we take out the resulting balls and put them on a soft towel for 8 hours.

    Bath bombs can be more than just a good cosmetic product. If you add chamomile essential oil to them, you will get a good remedy for the prevention and treatment of colds, which is more relevant in the fall than ever. In addition to the bactericidal effect that it will have on the respiratory tract, chamomile essential oil will have an excellent effect on the skin - it will help heal wounds, relieve inflammation, and soothe irritated skin.

    Next, we take water in a bottle with a spray bottle. The finer this unit will spray water, the more chances that the bombs will turn out beautiful. After each "zilch" mix the mass - it should be evenly moist.
    It is better to use cold water - there is less chance that the components will begin to react actively. If the mass begins to foam strongly, the bombs will turn out to be loose and will not keep their shape. There is nothing wrong with that, they will not lose their useful properties, only their appearance will suffer.
    After all the manipulations, the mass should look like wet sand - when squeezed in a fist, form a lump, but at the same time remain crumbly. Now you can lay it out on the molds. Bath Bomb Recipe - From Easy to Complex. Please your loved ones with a pleasant trifle.

    Few women refuse to soak in the bathroom. The process is actually very pleasant, but, unfortunately, not always useful. For example, bubble baths often make bathing harmful to the skin. But those who want to take a bubble bath are not decreasing from this. We offer you a more gentle, but no less pleasant remedy - geyser bombs. Or rather, recipes for bath bombs. Do you know that this exclusive remedy can be easily prepared at home? Let's find out exactly how to do this, and at the same time get acquainted with some recipes for bombs.

    Basic (basic) recipe

    Whatever bomb you want to make, it will always be based on a basic recipe with some constant and some fickle ingredients. Any bomb includes:

    • Citric acid (powder or granules);
    • Drinking soda;
    • Salt (sea or table salt);
    • Dyes;
    • Fillers.

    The main and unchanged components are citric acid and baking (baking) soda. In any recipe, their ratio should be 1: 2. That is, two parts of baking soda, you take one part of citric acid. It is these ingredients that make the bombs sizzle and bubble like geysers. All other components are taken in any quantity. Salt makes up the bulk of the bomb, essential oils or perfumery fragrances are added for aroma, dyes, of course, for color, and fillers for decoration (to a greater extent). How to make such a bomb?

    We measure the required number of components using a measuring cup, a tablespoon or an electronic scale. Pour soda and citric acid into an absolutely dry dish or blender bowl and grind it almost into powder. By the way, an ordinary coffee grinder or a traditional mortar and pestle is also suitable for this purpose. The finer these ingredients are, the more effective and longer the bomb will sizzle as it dissolves in the bath. Important! Be sure not to wet the mixture at this stage. Otherwise, the reaction will start much earlier than you make the bomb.

    Grind all other ingredients in the same way, except for the filler and liquid colors. Now carefully combine both mixtures and mix them well. Important! If your hands have wounds or cracks, then you should use rubber gloves. Now add a few drops of essential oil or perfume and dyes to your convenience food and stir again.

    The most important stage follows. You need to slightly moisten the resulting mixture, bringing it to the consistency of wet sand. Then you can form bombs from the mixture. We take a teaspoon and pour about a third of the water in it into a bowl and quickly stir the mixture. We collect a little mass in the palm and squeeze. If it, like wet sand, gathers into a lump and keeps its shape, we proceed to the formation of bombs. By the way, fillers can be put directly into the mixture, or you can put them on the bottom of the molds.

    It is best, of course, to use special molds, which can be purchased at handicraft stores. Handmade soap molds are also suitable. However, ordinary ice cube trays, as well as children's sand cakes, and even small cupcake makers will also do quite well. The bomb will regularly hiss and foam in the bathroom, regardless of its shape.

    So, we take the mold, grease it with oil, fill it with a moistened mixture and tamp it. If we use special forms, then we fill both halves, attach them to each other, hold them pressed for ten seconds and fasten them. By the way, in this case, we do not fill the second half very tightly. We leave to dry for about six hours near the battery (in winter) or in the sun (in summer). The dried bombs are carefully removed from the mold and stored in an airtight package.

    Useful little things

    For novice needlewomen, we offer a selection of tips from experienced colleagues in the manufacture of hand-made bath bombs.

    • To get multi-colored bombs, you need to prepare mixtures of different colors and put them in portions into molds.
    • Use food coloring to make bombs - they are harmless to the skin.
    • If you overdid it and overmoisten the mass for the bomb, then simply dry it by the battery. Alternatively, add dry ingredients (in proportions).
    • If you have few molds, and you want to make a lot of bombs, then just pack the mixture into a mold, tamp it, squeeze it firmly and take it out (we are talking about special round forms). And then leave the bomb to dry without a shape.
    • If the mass does not want to mold in any way or crumbles after drying, then you have not moistened it enough.
    • If you are afraid to make a mistake with the amount of water, then use a spray bottle.
    • If you use solid oil for bombs, then first dissolve it in a water bath.
    • Do not use peach or apricot kernel oil to make bombs. The mass to which it is added does not hold its shape well.
    • Store your bombs only in a dry place, or better yet, in an airtight container.

    Lying in a warm bath - what could be more pleasant? Maybe a bath with a scented bomb. Buying it can be expensive, but making it yourself is quite easy and even interesting. You can make your own bomb exactly according to the recipe or turn on creativity and create your own unique options: add different aromatic oils and ingredients that are good for the skin: dead sea salts, oils, flower petals and so on.

    You can find some of the ingredients for bombs right in your kitchen, but if you want something more beneficial to your skin, you will have to go to a health food store or visit a specialized body care department.

    You can use your creations yourself or make a great gift for friends and family. Try to make a bomb exactly according to the recipe, and when you understand the technology, experiment with the ingredients.

    Step # 1 Equipment

    For a homemade bomb you will need:

    • kitchen scales
    • large mixing bowl
    • cold water spray
    • latex gloves for hand protection
    • eye protection
    • gauze dust mask
    • sieve to sift the mixture
    • bomb molds (if you didn't find a spherical mold, you can use any options for baking, for ice cubes, etc.)

    Step # 2 Ingredients

    • 300 g soda
    • 150 g citric acid
    • 5-10 ml of essential or aromatic oil of your choice
    • 5 ml of plain oil (this can be sunflower, olive, grape, sweet almond, jojoba oil or others, of your choice)
    • food coloring of the desired color

    Smaller bombs are best because they hold up better, and larger bombs tend to fall apart.

    One more thing: start with a small amount, because first you need to find the best consistency. When making bombs, everything is important, up to the weather conditions - with high humidity, you need to add less water, otherwise the bomb will turn into a bubbling mass.

    Step # 3 Mix the ingredients

    Sift the baking soda through a sieve into a large mixing bowl to avoid lumps. Combine baking soda and citric acid in a bowl.

    Step # 4 Add oil

    Add aromatic and regular oils to a bowl. Most essential oils won't make the mixture sizzle, but some, mostly citrus fruits, can. If this happens, mix them as quickly as possible.

    Do not mix aroma and essential oils together - add either one or the other.

    Step # 5 Separate the mixture

    If you decide to make colored balls, it's time to divide the mixture into different containers in order to color it in different ways. In the photo, the mixture was divided into three parts.

    Step 6 Paint

    Now we start to paint the mixture. If you are using food or cosmetic color, add it drop by drop to get the color you want. Stir the mixture quickly with your hands so that it does not foam.

    If you are using powder dye, just add a little to the mixture and stir until you get the color you want.

    Stir until the mixture is uniform and free from stains. Mix especially carefully if you are using powder dye. It is best to "grind" the mixture between your fingers.

    If the mixture becomes wetter, do not leave it, or it may settle. On the contrary, you need to get everything done as quickly as possible.

    Step # 7 Add water

    Add some water from the spray, then stir continuously to avoid sizzling. Be careful not to add too much water - the mixture should remain a little crumbly, but stick together if you just squeeze it in your hand.

    Step # 8 Fill out the form

    Fill out the form with the mixture. If you are using two halves of a sphere, put the mixture in each of them and hold them together. Don't twist the halves, just press them firmly together. Wait a few minutes, then gently remove the bonded mixture from the mold.

    Step number 9 Dry

    Leave the finished bombs in a dry and warm place for several hours.

    Step number 10 We use or give

    That's it, your fragrant homemade bath bombs are ready. Just dip them in hot water and enjoy.

    Remember, the fresher the bomb, the more it will fizz, and if you are not packing your items, it is best to store them in a dry place. You can wrap them in plastic wrap to keep them fresh for longer.

    Well, if you decide to give them, just choose a beautiful packaging and a ribbon, and the gift is ready.

    There are many types of tinctures that can be looked after.

    All this variety can be combined into a sizzling bomb that will give you a lot of pleasure.

    What's the secret?

    Bath bombs are a mixture of alkali and acid with all sorts of ingredients added. The latter components include:

    • all kinds of aromatic oils;
    • natural ingredients - flowers, clay, needles;
    • vegetable fats that help moisturize the skin. Most often used, almond, you can and sunflower;
    • some water to hold the structure together.

    The hissing process is based on the neutralization reaction- when exposed to citric acid, carbon dioxide is released, which creates a bubbling effect.

    Did you know?Soda is a substance that is part of human blood. Its slightly salty taste can be felt when a finger is cut.

    How to do it yourself

    Knowledge of the recipe for its manufacture and step-by-step instructions on how to do it yourself will help to achieve the desired result from a bath bomb.

    What is needed

    Before starting work, find all the components you need, namely:

    • baking soda;
    • citric acid;
    • sea salt;
    • vegetable oil;
    • flowers;
    • deep mixing container;
    • measuring spoon;
    • coffee grinder;
    • form for the finished product.

    Important!It is better to mix and grind bulk components using kitchen machines, since natural is sold in the form of large fractions and it will be very difficult to achieve the required degree of grinding manually.

    Step by step recipe with photo

    Once you have selected the components that suit your type and personal preferences, you can begin the manufacturing process itself.

    For the manufacture of one water bomb, for a single bath, we mix the ingredients in the following proportions:

    • 4 tbsp. l. soda and 2 tbsp. l. acid. Mix the resulting mixture. For these purposes, an ordinary spoon will suffice, since both components are finely dispersed.

    • To the existing substances, add 2 tablespoons of sea salt. If it is large, it is necessary to grind it in advance or use electrical devices at this stage to obtain a homogeneous mass (coffee grinder, mixer, etc.). Otherwise, at the moment of using the bomb, the salt will dissolve very slowly, and you will feel a sediment at the bottom of the bath. It can ruin all the fun.

    • In this recipe, we use cornflowers. It is better to sort out the petals from the inflorescences in advance and use only them. The use of "midpoints" will create the feeling of dirty water. They are heavier than the leaves, when they get into the liquid, they will settle and "float" at the bottom of the container.

    • The next step is to pour in 2 scoops of olive oil. It is used to moisturize the skin and to better hold our homemade bomb together. This component will make the mass more pliable and we will be able to shape it not only in the shape of a bar, but also to make it look like a sphere.

    • It is recommended to use lavender essential oil to ensure restful sleep.

    Did you know?Lavender has the anti-inflammatory effect of sage and the soothing effect of valerian. And at the same time it has a pleasant aroma.

    For a single use, just add 10 drops. After that we mix everything thoroughly, reaching the state of "wet sand".

    • Spray a little water from the dispenser onto the resulting mass. Stop the fluid supply when the first signs of hiss appear.

    • We place the finished mixture in a mold that will give the finished look to our product. Tamp it tightly and leave for 10-15 minutes for the components to harden.

    • After this time, we turn the container over onto thick paper or cardboard to dry completely in the open air.

    • If during this process it crumbles a little, shape its edges with a knife or spatula.

    • It should take 5-6 hours before its use, more is possible.

    The method of using the bomb is based on immersing the product in warm water. At the same time, you can see the bubbling effect of soda and acid, feel the pleasant scent of lavender. An oily film with petals forms on the surface and the liquid is filled with sea salt minerals.
    All of these ingredients moisturize, tone and soothe your body.

    Variety: choose the smell, color, effect

    At home, you can make a wide variety of compositions for bombs. They can look exactly like the store ones, and if you dream a little, you get real masterpieces.

    Various can be achieved using water-soluble liquid dyes. It is not recommended to take powder types of these substances for these purposes - they settle on the walls. Their use will make it possible to make not only plain balls, but also interesting products with halves of different colors.

    Natural coloring components do not have such wide possibilities, but their presence in the composition will give the ball very delicate tones, for example:

    • lavender - lilac;
    • jasmine - yellow;
    • combination, and neroli - light green;
    • and - orange;
    • cocoa - brown;
    • - from yellow to orange.
    All these components perform not only aesthetic functions. After dissolving them in
