Gardening works in April in the middle lane. Summer cottage and garden work in April. Useful tips and advice from an experienced gardener. April works of florists

The second month of spring marks the full start of the summer cottage season, so you will always have something to do in April in the garden, vegetable garden, flower garden. Finally, after a long cold winter, nature awakens, the snow has almost completely melted, the beds in the garden are reawakening to life, the plants are actively starting up. For gardeners, the most labor-intensive season has begun, including the main types of work except, perhaps, harvesting.

In order to have time for everything and not to lose sight of anything important, it is better to draw up a clear work plan in advance, because there are so many important things to be done: to keep water, to loosen the earth cover, to transplant perennials and to protect them from pests. The main work, as in March, will concern seedlings, the time of which continues.

The main work in April is closely related to the seedlings, which must continue to be carefully looked after:

  • Increase watering gradually.
  • Air the seedlings more often to accustom them to open air.
  • You can start leaving tomato seedlings on the balcony overnight. If the air temperature drops to below zero, the seedling boxes should be covered with foil or textile cloth. Protect young plants from the sun during the first days of this habit. In the first week of the month, the sowing of early ripening varieties of tomatoes is already being completed.

Gardening in April: when nature wakes up

Mainly preparatory work is being carried out on the site. Our tips will help nature to wake up from long sleep:

  • it's time to start bypassing the summer cottage. In April, as a rule, there is practically no snow, only in the most shaded and underestimated areas it still lies. In order not to trample damp soil in vain, move exclusively along the paths;
  • there is still an opportunity for pruning fruit and berry crops in the country, where it is needed. This work must be done before sap flow begins. As a rule, in many regions of Russia, it begins in the second half of the month, so have time to do the necessary pruning work in the garden in a timely manner. Remove damaged and weak shoots of raspberries and blackberries, cut off the frozen tops of the berries, form bushes of currants, gooseberries, thin out the crowns of trees, removing dry, diseased and damaged branches;
  • remove covering material from strawberries, provided that this was not done in March;
  • do a big cleaning of the garden and garden - rake dry leaves and tops in a heap with compost, take out inorganic debris, eliminate the ice crust on the ground left after the melting of the snow cover by loosening;
  • attention to black currant bushes, noticing swollen buds - they are affected by a kidney mite. Cut them off and burn in the oven or on the grill, if necessary, remove the entire branch;
  • treat fruit trees and berry bushes in the country with protective compounds (for example, a solution of aromatic herbs followed by dusting with sifted ash) before budding, in order to protect from diseases and pests. If you are for organic farming and do not use pesticides on the site, pour hot water on the bushes with cooked infusion of garlic or onions, or purchase green soap from a garden store.
  • gardening activities include protecting the boles of plants from damage by the spring sun. You can use both whitewashing of trunks with freshly slaked lime with an admixture of clay or mullein, and garden bandages;
  • close up cracks and hollows in tree trunks;
  • top dressing of garden plantings, because in the spring they really need it for active growth. The tree-trunk circles of fruit are shallowly loosened, powdered with ash, fertilized with compost, peat or rotted manure. Berry bushes will like similar measures. Apply half a bucket of fresh compost under each bush, and 1-2 buckets of this "life-giving" fertilizer under a fruit tree;
  • start planting berries and fruit trees at established positive temperatures. When planting, the seedlings need to be watered well and fixed to the supports.
  • to purchase young seedlings, if they have not been dug in since the fall, is also a good period for carrying out work on the propagation of currants and gooseberries using the pinning method.
  • it's time to open the grapes for airing. In the southern regions, in early - mid-spring, the shelter is completely removed.

So, first of all, in the garden, you should remove the winter harness, remove dry branches, leaves, rotten fruits, as well as last year's mulch. Do not leave the collected organic waste on the site, but compost immediately.

By the way, cut large tree branches are great as a basis for high beds, which are so fond of thermophilic crops. To do this, a trench 40-50 cm deep is dug along the width of the future bed, or only along its central part, large and small branches are laid there, as well as straw, old lawn mounds (roots up), from above it is covered back with earth with a mound. It is poured abundantly with water and after a couple of weeks the garden is ready for planting seedlings of cucumbers, pumpkins, zucchini, eggplant, peppers and whatever your heart desires.

The middle of spring is the best time to work in the garden with grafting of fruit trees. The video presented describes in detail how to properly carry out this operation.

Work in the garden

In the garden, the main work and vigorous activities can be planned after the snow cover disappears. The soil in the country must dry out, otherwise it will stick to shoes and a shovel. We offer an approximate work plan, which you can start implementing in the country:

  • for a start, you should attend to the preparation of the soil in which you will plant seedlings of vegetables. To retain the maximum amount of moisture, loosen the soil in the beds. After that, you can already start organizing and planning future plantings, taking into account the rules of crop rotation;
  • in the first days of the month, such cold-resistant crops as radishes, carrots, radishes, onions, lettuce, peas and others are sown in open ground. Since it is still quite cold outside, it is necessary to cover the planting with a film or non-woven material at night. Many green crops can already be planted, such as spinach, parsley, cilantro, dill and others. The use of a film cover will speed up the emergence of seedlings;
  • before planting, the potatoes are vernalized - for a month and a half they are placed in a bright place, but not in direct sunlight. In a region with a warm or hot climate, sprouted potatoes can already be planted under a film shelter;
  • in the garden, it's time to start preparing the beds, which are covered with foil to preserve heat and moisture. Be sure to disinfect greenhouses and greenhouses with boron solution, wash them, thoroughly loosen the ground;
  • it is already possible to sow cabbage, broccoli, herbs in greenhouses. For an excellent harvest, choose the planting time correctly, guided by the gardener's lunar calendar for April;
  • rake off the mulch from podzimny plantings, loosen and feed the soil with organic matter;
  • After the snow melts, tackle strawberries in the country. Move the mulch away from it, cut off those leaves that have dried up, dust the plantings with ash and spruce needles. If you want to enjoy an early harvest, cover the strawberry bushes with plastic wrap on the arches.

Do not throw out the Christmas trees, first collect all the needles from them. After all, the best mulching material for garden strawberries is spruce needles. They provide the necessary nutrition and protection for the bushes that woke up from hibernation. And most importantly, such mulch can significantly improve the taste of the berry.

Working in a vegetable garden in April means sowing vegetables for seedlings and continuing to take care of the already planted one. Perennial plants in the country need to provide the required care so that they continue to delight you in the future.

What to do in a flower garden in April

Work on a garden plot in the spring must certainly touch upon the decoration of your plot - flower beds:

  • plant perennials, for example, phlox, nivyaniki, chrysanthemums, delphiniums, which take root best when dividing even before the leaves begin to unfold.
  • prepare bulbous crops for spring planting in the country. Corms, as practice shows, are best planted in soil warmed up to at least 10 degrees, otherwise the plants may not germinate or even die altogether.
  • gradually open the roses from under the film, first airing them for a couple of hours a day, and then completely removing the covering material;
  • in the greenhouse, under the film, they plant cosmos, marigolds, dahlias and other annuals on seedlings.
  • feeding perennials also does not interfere: loosen shallowly, free from unwanted neighbors, sprinkle with compost or humus and mulch the flower bed.

Special care in April requires:

1. Roses. They should be freed from winter shelter. The film is completely removed after the snow has completely melted; before that, the bushes are only periodically ventilated. It's also time to do your rose pruning work before the buds start to break. At the same time, the air temperature should not fall below the plus 5 degrees mark. We remove the damaged and weakest branches. To protect roses from diseases and pests, powder the young bushes with wood ash, add 200-300 g of ash under each plant and embed it shallowly into the ground.

2. Summer-flowering bulbous. Bulbous feeding should be done after the first shoots appear. Gently loosen the soil underneath and spray against harmful insects with green soap solution or dust with wood ash. Rake off the mulch from the lilies and feed them with humus or compost with the addition of a small amount of sleeping coffee (2 tablespoons on the floor of a compost bucket).

3. Clematis. It's time to carry out spring pruning, organic fertilizing and mulching.

4. Peonies. The optimal period is coming for dividing the most beautiful flowers and the favorites of many gardeners - peonies. Keep in mind that you need to divide the flowers quickly before they start to grow actively.

Pay attention to your lawn in spring

When the last snow melts, inspect the lawn for any damage and repair it:

  • Freezing - the grass is stunted and rare. Tamp frozen peat so that the roots have contact with the soil and they can receive nutrients and water;
  • Ice crust - prevents oxygen from admitting, causing the grains to die. If detected, gently break the ice with a rake;
  • Mold and fungal diseases - spots of gray, white or pink form on the lawn, grow over time. Remove lumps of snow, rake the grass, making rather deep punctures in places affected by mold. Then dust the lawn with dry sand.
  • Mechanical damage - extrusion, compaction and trampling. In case of severe damage, the lawn will need to be repaired: deep loosening, adding sandy soil and planting new seeds.

So, we have considered what work in the garden and vegetable garden await us in April. But warm May is ahead - it's time for the main sowing work. If before that you are able to carry out the preparation with high quality, you can avoid unnecessary hassle in May - the most stressful month for summer residents and gardeners.

Note to the gardener: Recently, more and more attention is being paid to the ecological situation on our blue planet: pollution with exhaust gases, pesticides, fires and littering will not lead our children to a healthy and happy future. Every year several species of animals die out and more and more people with disabilities become healthier. Every gardener-gardener has a chance to make his own and quite tangible contribution to the preservation and even improvement of the ecology of the planet Earth. Of course, it is rather difficult to influence the first point in our age of progress, but with the other three points every gardener can and even must fight! All in all and business: do not litter ourselves and do not allow negligent neighbors to do it, do not let the spring-autumn burns that kill not only weeds, but also healthy, beneficial microorganisms and insects, and do not pour chemistry on our long-suffering soil. Instead of fires and chemicals, please turn your attention to the miracle of composting. After all, everything that is on the ground and in the kitchen can be folded and harvested (your own free!) Fertilizer. The finished compost is great for fertilizing, mulching and soil health. In many developed countries, pesticides and burns are already banned. And why are we worse? Please! Let's protect our common home for our children together. Thanks.

WORK IN THE COTTAGE.
Spring tips for those
who wants big harvests.

April. The last snow is melting. Life comes alive. Nature blooms!
What needs to be done first of all on your favorite site? Let's start with the fact that we will rejoice at the plantings that have safely survived the winter, which were made in the fall and remove a thick layer of dry leaves and spruce branches. At the same time, we will check that there is no stagnant water on the site, we will dig a groove for the drain.
On windowsills or balconies, seedlings are already in full swing. It's time to make her dive. The February seedlings dive for the second time, and the March seedlings for the first time.
And at the end of April we will prepare a greenhouse for cucumbers and tomatoes: it's time to put on a new film (if you use the old one, be sure to wash it with warm soapy water), make beds and disinfect the soil (1 tablespoon of copper sulfate per 10 liters of hot water).

IT'S TIME FOR BUSINESS!
Treat the trunks of fruit trees with special solutions. For example, urea (700 g), ammonium nitrate (1 kg) or nitroammophoska (1 kg) are used for 10 liters of water.
Remove dead fruit trees and shrubs from the area to prevent the spread of fungal diseases.
Treat the shrubs with copper sulfate.
If you are planning to plant new trees, shrubs and trees with an open root system can be planted in April.
You can already sow the first early greens (dill, parsley, cilantro, lettuce, spinach) on the compost heap (if it is located in the sun).
Remove potatoes from storage. At the end of the month, place it in cardboard boxes, layer it with newsprint and leave it in a warm place. This will create good, strong shoots.
Trim blackcurrants, gooseberries, and honeysuckle.
You can also cut the cuttings for grafting trees and shrubs.
It's time at the end of the month to go for seedlings of annual and perennial vegetables and flowers, for planting stock of strawberries, ornamental and berry bushes.
De-preserve the reservoir.
Repair damaged areas of the lawn with turf, apply nitrogen fertilizers.

SELECTION OF SEEDS.
What to look for:
Climatic zone and weather conditions. Do not get carried away with thermophilic and exotic vegetables and berries, which require certain conditions of growth and maturation.
The period in which the visit to the site will end. That is, if at the beginning of autumn you no longer visit the dacha, then you should abandon the varieties of late maturity.
When choosing seeds of cucumbers and tomatoes, pay attention to their purpose: for canning, pickling, long-term fresh storage.
If there are a lot of slugs and snails on the site, then it is better to choose a cabbage variety with denser glossy leaves.

PURCHASE OF SEEDLINGS.
How to choose the right one:
Choose the height of one-year-olds 100-150 cm. The diameter of the trunk is no more than 1.4-1.5 cm. The roots must be intact and in no case dry, so after purchase, wrap them in a damp cloth. Remember that 2-3 year old seedlings take root less well.
Make sure the tree is healthy: take a good look at the trunk for the freshness and cleanliness of the seedling as a whole.
The fibrous root system must have at least five main roots, the pivotal root system must have at least three, and the length of the roots must be about 30 cm.
Better to buy seedlings from companies that grow them themselves!

TOP TOOLS,
which you cannot do without:
Wheelbarrow. Shovel.
Irrigation hose. It is clear that without a good hose with a nozzle, it will not be possible to water the plants efficiently.
Saw. Purchase a curved saw that is useful for trimming thin tree branches.
Scissors. We'll have to open the bags, cut the rope, cut off the extra branches.
Pruner. When scissors are not enough, a strong and sharp special tool is needed - a pruner, otherwise you will be tortured to cut a thick branch with improvised means.
Rake. Moreover, not of one type. The varieties are useful: both for cleaning a small layer of leaves, and for more difficult work - raking branches, grass, debris from the site.
Hoe. It is necessary for removing, for example, plant roots in the upper soil layer or for edging a plot.
Trimmer. Be sure to purchase. A useful tool along with a lawn mower if you want a nice and tidy garden and plot. Choose which one is more convenient for you - gasoline or electric.

Have a nice harvest!

A lot of work awaits gardeners in early April. It is necessary to have time to trim trees and shrubs, ventilate winter shelters, protect plants from sunburn, sow seedlings, take care of perennials and lawns.

Pruning trees in spring

The crown of fruit trees and shrubs must be cut between the snow melt and the moment the buds swell. Some gardeners underestimate spring pruning. In fact, this is a very important matter. Thanks to banal pruning, you can improve the quality of fruits and the yield of trees, as well as regulate their growth.

The amount of pruning depends on the age of the trees and shrubs. The frequency of pruning is also important. If you have resorted to it from time to time, then you have to tinker a lot.

Airing

Airing hydrangeas, roses, and other thermophilic plants that are sheltered for the winter should be started in mid or late March. It all depends on the weather conditions. For airing it is necessary to choose sunny days with freezing temperatures. The cover that protects the plantings must first be raised a little and only over time increase the availability of fresh air. Sheltered plantings should gradually get used to the new temperature regime so that they do not experience stress.

Protection from sunburn and frost

In early spring, plants are at high risk of sunburn. This is especially true for conifers. They have burns, as a rule, appear only on the open part of the crown, which is facing the sun and is naked with snow. After a burn, the needles turn red, often occupying most of the crown. To prevent this from happening, do not be lazy to throw snow from the paths onto the bare part of the alpine slide. Spruce branches are suitable for tall conifers, which cannot be covered with snow. It must be fixed on the plant in tiers from the bottom up.

Lawn care in spring

For the beginning of March, an alternation of frost and thaw is typical. Such weather conditions are dangerous for lawns. Snow melted in the sun with the arrival of night frosts is easily covered with an ice crust, which complicates the access of air to the lawn. Due to the fact that the snow has not completely melted, unpleasant bald spots may appear on the lawn. To prevent this from happening, break the ice crust as it appears.

Perennial care in spring

Perennials should be given special attention when the snow has completely melted. It is necessary to remove dead shoots and leaves from the plantings. You should also regularly carry out prophylaxis to combat diseases and pests of perennials.

Sowing seedlings

Sowing seedlings is another important thing for a summer resident in early spring. An excellent time for sowing many annuals is the third decade of March. Keep in mind that the seedling soil can have a different composition, but it must be fresh, that is, it has not been previously used for growing plants. Do not fry and overheat the soil, since this process also kills the necessary

List of works in the country in April

In April, in the bright sun, the last snow melts, the earth begins to dry up, the first flowers appear, and the first leaves appear on the trees. The garden comes alive.

This month, you can already enjoy the autumn plantings that have safely survived the winter and remove winter shelters (spruce branches, a thick layer of dry leaves) so that the plants have the opportunity to develop further - in the fresh air and sunlight.

Consider the climate in your area: if you remove the shelters too early, you can cause irreparable damage to the plants.

Signs of April

If at the beginning of April the surface of the snow is rough - by the harvest.

Thunderstorm in early April - for a warm summer and a harvest of nuts.

April with water - May with grass.

Wet April is a good arable land.

Works on the lunar calendar for April

Waxing Crescent. It is not recommended to carry out pruning of trees and shrubs. Favorable time for watering and applying mineral fertilizers, sowing tomato seedlings, early maturing varieties of pepper. Good time for loosening seedlings and working indoors, grafting fruit trees and shrubs.

Full moon... At this time, nothing should be sown, planted or transplanted, pruned. You can check your garden tools.

Waning moon. At this time, you can put potato tubers in a warm room for germination, apply fertilizer to the trunk circles of fruit trees and shrubs and strawberry beds on the melting snow. Remove shelter from trees, shrubs and perennial flowers.

List of works in the garden for April

In April, for the prevention of fungal diseases (scab, septoria), it is recommended to treat the tree trunks of fruit trees with a solution of urea (700 g), ammonium nitrate (1 kg) or nitroammophoska (1 kg), diluted in 10 liters of water.

April is a good time to remove dried pears, apples, plums, cherries from the site, as they are the source of most fungal diseases.

Shrubs can be treated with copper sulfate.

Sowing vegetables in April

In April, they begin sowing seeds of cold-resistant crops into the soil.

In early April, they continue to sprout potatoes, regularly checking them for diseases. A week before planting, the tubers are laid in one layer and covered with compost or sawdust. The filled potatoes will sprout faster. But it is not worth keeping potatoes under peat for a long time, since roots are formed in it, which can intertwine with each other and will be injured during planting.

About 4 days before planting, the potatoes are sprayed with a special nutrient solution (1.5 tbsp. L. Superphosphate, 1 tbsp. L. Potassium sulfate per 10 l of water).

Potatoes are planted when the soil warms up to + 8 ° C.

❧ The planting time of potatoes can be determined by the birch trees. As soon as the trees begin to turn green, then you can plant potatoes.

At the beginning of the month, they start sowing radishes, peas, dill, seedless cabbage, lettuce, rhubarb, carrots, leaf celery, parsnips.

First of all, you need to sow radishes, since due to the lengthening of daylight hours there is a possibility of the vegetable shooting. Spinach is sown on the same garden bed with radish. It will help protect root vegetables from damage by cruciferous flea beetles.

Next to the radish, you can place beds with onions and garlic. Radish is a good precursor to cucumber. Radishes are best sown after nightshade crops, cucumbers, and beans.

In the middle of the month, you can start sowing beets if the soil temperature is + 8-10 degrees. In this situation, seedlings will appear in 2 weeks.

At the same time, Swiss chard (beetroot) is sown. This plant can be cut for a long time and used for making salads, soups and cabbage rolls (photo).

Favorable time for planting black onions. Seedlings that appear after 3-4 weeks are thinned out. By the end of summer, the onions give a good harvest.

When planting carrots, the beds can be thickened a little. After the roots reach 1 cm in thickness, the extra ones are pulled out and used for food. Those who remain by the end of the season will gain weight and volume.

Garlic, which remained from the winter, is planted in the beds. It grows more slowly than the one that was planted in the fall, but as a result it reaches the same size. In April, they are engaged in laying out the beds, taking into account the compatibility of crops. Perennial crops are sown taking into account the fact that the areas occupied by sorrel and rhubarb will be excluded from the crop rotation for a couple of years. In April, they continue to grow the seedlings that were planted earlier, the seedlings dive, apply top dressing.

In the middle of the month, you can start hardening early cabbage seedlings. Mid-season varieties are planted in open ground at the end of April. At the same time, seedlings of peppers, tomatoes and eggplants are hardened.

Bush care in April

In April, you should inspect blackcurrant and gooseberry bushes for twisted tops of branches - they need to be cut and burned, these are traces of powdery mildew.

When the snow melts, the shrubs are pruned, if not done in the fall. Weak, diseased and broken branches are cut out. In gooseberries, red and white currants, all branches over 8 years old are cut, in black currants - over 4 years old. If the currant has shoots affected by a kidney mite, they are also cut and burned.

Raspberry branches are released, dry and weak young shoots are removed. Healthy shoots are lifted and tied to trellises.

Works in the flower garden in April

It is important to take care of the roses in April. Shelters are removed from them gradually, the bushes are cut off, fed, treated for diseases and pests. First of all, urea or ammonium nitrate (20 g per 10 l of water) is added. Bushes spud at the base of the stems. With the threat of night frosts, the growing shoots are sheltered.

In April, they continue to look after flower seedlings. Every 10 days it is watered with settled water, mineral fertilizers are applied. In the second half of April, you can take out the seedlings for hardening.

At the beginning of the month, the last sowing of annual seedlings is carried out. Flowers such as marigolds, sweet peas, nasturtium, zinnia are sown subject to the interval between seeds (3-4 cm). Cover with a film. After the threat of frost passes, the seedlings can be transplanted to a permanent place in the flower garden.

Perennial flowers (aquilegia, Gaillardia, carnation, delphinium, bells, cornflower) are sown in the greenhouse as soon as the soil warms up.

At the beginning of April, it is important to open the seedlings. The first time the March crops dive, the second - the February crops. At the end of the month, you can sow and dive plants in a semi-warm or cold greenhouse.

A complex mineral fertilizer with a high nitrogen content is introduced. First, the March crops are fed. The first time after 7-10 days after the pick, the second - after 14 days.

Do not forget to feed bulbous and perennials (phlox, irises, hemerocalis, astilba, hosta, primrose, lilies of the valley, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, scilla, snowdrops, muscari, etc.). A mixture of nitrogen and potassium fertilizers (2: 1) is introduced.

April is the time when you can divide peonies, irises, hemerocalis, asthba, phlox, delphinium, chrysanthemum, etc. Peonies begin to divide after the soil has thawed completely. Irises in the spring of dealers in a short time, i.e. until they entered a phase of active growth. Phlox, hemerocalis, astilbe, delphinium, chrysanthemum can be divided in more extended periods. However, they will take root better if you divide them before active growth begins.

In April, you can divide the root tubers of the dahlias and put them in a warm place for growing. After the appearance of sprouts 5-7 cm high, some of them are cut into cuttings and planted in a pot filled with fertile soil and clean sand. The pot is placed in a bright place at a temperature of +20 ° C.

Conifers can be planted in the second half of April. They try to plant so as not to damage the earthen lump, the root collar is left on. soil level. The planted trees are abundantly watered and shaded.

After the soil thaws, dries and warms up, a plot is prepared for sowing annual crops (cornflowers, godetia, dimorphoteka, iberis, poppy, mattiola, mignonette, scabiosa, phlox, calendula, gypsophila, levkoy, sunflower, statice, clarkia, lavatera, eschsholzia , foxglove, purslane). If the soil was not fertilized in the fall, then superphosphate (50 g / m 2) and potassium sulfate (25 g / m 2) are added and dug to a depth of 18 cm.

In the second decade of the month, perennials (aquilegia, Gaillardia, feathery carnation, delphinium, bells, cornflower and feverfew) can be sown in the greenhouse. The air temperature for germinating seeds is + 15-22 degrees.

At the beginning of April, begonia tubers are removed from the basement, cleaned of dried roots and earth residues and placed in a 0.05% solution of potassium permanganate for 30 minutes. Large tubers with buds are cut with a sharp knife into several parts, so that each part has 1 bud. Places of cuts are treated with charcoal, after which the plants are planted in an earthen mixture and put up for growing. Begonias grow well at temperatures not lower than +18 ° C. Drying of begonias should not be allowed.

Vineyard maintenance in April

At the beginning of the month, as soon as the soil dries up and the air temperature does not drop to -10 ° C, the grape bushes can be opened. First of all, this applies to land shelters on chernozem and loamy soils. If the grapes were covered with peat, needles or sawdust, they are harvested before the eyes swell.

In early April, organic and mineral fertilizers are introduced into the grooves, and then they are sprinkled with earth. You can also make a liquid top dressing combined with watering.

Bunches of vines must be attached to the trellis without undoing. The vines are cleaned of soil and plant debris.

If the bushes were affected last year, it is time to spray to prevent diseases and pests. It is recommended to use nitrafen (200-300 g per 10 liters of water). Grapes are processed at a temperature of + 4-5 ° C.

If you have removed the shelter from the grapes and noticed that it is covered with a white mold, do not be alarmed - after a couple of hours, the plaque will disappear.

In the second half of April, when the probability of frost is low, a dry garter is made. The sleeves are tied up obliquely, and the fruit arrows are horizontally, slightly bending the ends in an arc. If the bush is formed correctly, then the fruit arrows will fill the first wire evenly, without overlapping each other.

In the middle of the month, you can plant lignified grape seedlings.

Other works in April

In addition to the main work, cuttings are harvested in April for grafting ornamental shrubs. The cuttings are wrapped in a wet cloth, then placed in cellophane and laid on the ground on the north side of any building.

In April, you can start pruning shrubs.

If there is a reservoir on the site, then it will be reactivated.

The lawn is tidied up with a heavy rake, the damaged areas are repaired with sod, and nitrogen fertilizers are applied. At the end of April, the lawn can be mowed.
