A prayer book for prayers for every need. An ancient prayer for all occasions. What is the power of the Jesus Prayer

When turning to the Lord God, the Mother of God or the Holy Saints for help, you should read, or better yet, learn by heart strong Orthodox prayers for all occasions. In illnesses, infirmities, and critical situations, we turn to our heavenly intercessors.

Thanks to a sincere conversation with God, we receive enlightenment, help, and find new ways to solve existing problems. Which ones exist? strong prayers.

Prayer is an appeal to God, a certain sequence of words that describes our state and feelings. This is not an ordinary repetition of a text from a prayer book; our prayer is a stream of phrases coming from a pure heart.

Theologians and Holy Fathers have compiled Orthodox prayers for all occasions that do not contradict the dogmas of the Orthodox faith.

In them, a person asks the Lord to forgive him for his sins, begs for help in solving difficult situations, and also heal him from terrible diseases.

In fact, it is very important to clearly understand the meaning of each word, which is why you can now find Orthodox prayers in modern language.

Prayer work helps a person:

  • find peace, mental balance;
  • to focus on;
  • tune in to some action;
  • strengthen faith;
  • fight against sins.

For a real prayer, it does not matter whether it is said in modern or Church Slavonic. It can be without words at all - we pray even when we praise God, admire everything that He has created, thank Him for everything that He gives us every day, we accept those around us and the situations that arise in life as they are.

Need to remember! If we forgive our offenders, those who offend us, insult us, humiliate us, we also pray, but without words.

By saying the first thing that comes to our mind, we are also talking to God. It happens that one minute of such prayer is equivalent to hours or even days dedicated to saying prayers.

Nevertheless, every Christian should know the prayer books, which are the greatest religious heritage left to us by our ancestors.

Main prayers

In search of the most powerful Orthodox prayers, we forget that miraculous power lies not in the text itself, but in how much a person believes in God, in the purity of his thoughts.

Our ancestors could not afford to purchase a collection of prayers for all occasions or other godly literature. People turned to the Lord through several prayers learned by heart and received help because their hearts were turned to the Lord.

In our time, Orthodox Christians have many opportunities to become familiar with the Holy Scriptures. You can download free religious literature from reliable sources or purchase it from church stores.

What Orthodox prayers exist in Russian that should be familiar to every true Christian.

Our Father and Creed

"Our Father", given to people Jesus Christ himself, contains the whole meaning of human life. Faith in the Kingdom of God, hope that, according to the will of the Lord, we will follow the right path. Please give us bread for today, forgive us just as God forgives us. We beg Him to deliver us from the evil one, from destructive temptation.

Prayer "Our Father"

The “Creed” is, in fact, a prayer book that covers all the main points Orthodox Church, there are twelve of them in number. The text was compiled by the Fathers during the period of the First and Second Ecumenical Councils. It is read in the morning, as well as at the baptism of infants.

Important! : proper preparation and holding the sacrament

Hymn to the Most Holy Theotokos

With her help we glorify Holy Virgin Mary, who gave birth to us the Savior: “Virgin Mother of God, rejoice” originates from the Gospel, which testifies that when the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin with the news of the immaculate conception, he said: “Gracious Mary, rejoice! The Lord is with you."

Hymn to the Most Holy Theotokos

After several months, Mary went to Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, who at that time was also awaiting the appearance of the future prophet. Feeling the approach of the Messiah in her womb, she, illuminated by the Holy Spirit, said: “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb!”

An ancient prayer for all occasions is, of course, a prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos. She is our primary Intercessor and Helper in all misfortunes.

Before you start

To enlist the support of the Almighty powers, before starting each task, you need to ask for a Blessing from God. You can mentally pray: “Lord, bless!”

After completing the task, we need to thank the Lord for the blessings that He bestows on us, for the opportunity to work. A book with prayers for every day necessarily contains similar prayers, so it is better to go to the nearest church store and purchase it.

Before eating

Prayer books must contain the texts of prayers said before and after the meal. Why do this? The fact is that gluttony is one of the most grave sins, therefore, we need to ask God to help us fight these vices.

Prayer before eating

Prayer reminds us that not only will man be satisfied with bread alone, we also need spiritual food.

Important! Children who pray before and after meals quickly become accustomed to fasting.

Glorifying the Holy Spirit

The omnipresent Holy Spirit can cleanse us from all filth, we pray to him for this every day. The Spirit of Truth fills everything, he sees our weaknesses, helps us overcome them, consoles us in misfortunes, which is why we call him the Comforter.

Glorifying the Holy Spirit

He sees everything and gives us what we need in life, which is why we call Him the Giver. We ask Him for the Holy Spirit to dwell in us and cleanse us from all sin.

Trisagion

These are Orthodox short prayers for all occasions: “Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us!” It can be said in a whisper or sung. It is read three times, accompanied by a bow from the waist.

According to legend, during strong earthquake in Constantinople, a boy who took part in procession believers who asked for salvation were lifted up. There he heard the words of this prayer from the angels. Having descended to earth, he told the patriarch about his vision.

After everyone chanted the text the boy heard, the earthquake stopped.

Psalm 50

This psalm is called repentant, written by David. The history of its origin is connected with a grave sin, for the forgiveness of which he begs God. Wanting to enter into a sinful relationship with Bathsheba, he killed her husband, the righteous Uriah. David repents of his deed and asks for mercy from God.

The prayer book must contain this psalm, since it is part of the morning prayer rule. They read it during the All-Night Vigil.

We should read it as often as possible, repenting of certain sins, since human nature is far from perfect: we commit sins every day, often without realizing it. It says that we must be attentive to ourselves, know what we are guilty of, since Last Judgment over us is inevitable.

Guardian Angel

After baptism, we, in addition to godparents, we find an Angel who throughout life path observes our actions, helps to correct them, drives away evil forces, protects soul and body.

Prayer to the Guardian Angel

We can turn to the Angel with various requests:

  • about getting rid of diseases;
  • about guidance on the true path;
  • about finding a job and success in it;
  • about protection, patronage in business;
  • about well-being in the family;
  • before surgery about a successful outcome;
  • before heading out on the road.

There are several prayers to the Guardian Angel; they can be downloaded for free, although it is better to purchase the texts at the church store. You need to read them every day: in the morning, before going to bed. Over time, the words will be remembered, and you can ask for help from God’s Intercessor at any time.

You need to ask the Angel for support diligently and sincerely, with all your heart. And, of course, for the joy given, we do not forget to thank him.

Saints

Holy people, just like us ordinary people, once lived on earth. After their death, they take care of us and pray to God for our salvation. The Holy Fathers say that such people are pleasing to God, so He fulfills their requests.

Naming the Saints God's Pleasants and Ambulances, we hope to receive help from them, and it is coming. We especially need to pray to the saint whose name we bear or received at baptism.

For the health of relatives

The sacred duty of every Christian is to pray for the physical and spiritual health of all relatives and friends.

The spiritual connection between family members is especially noticeable: if someone feels bad, the whole family suffers. It is not for nothing that a family dynasty is depicted in the form of a tree - if it suffers, then its leaves wither. If someone in the family develops hatred or anger, then the rest of the relatives will definitely feel it.

Be sure to do it! A true Christian does not stop praying for his offenders, enemies, as well as those people who have apostatized from the faith.

This is exactly what the Holy Fathers did, and we should do the same. These virtues will certainly be appreciated by the Lord at the Last Judgment. Our thoughts are the most powerful and inexhaustible sources of good.

About the repose of the dead

Orthodox Christians believe that there is only physical death, and the human soul continues to live forever in the Kingdom of Heaven, but only people who were bearers of good during their lifetime receive such a fate.

Prayer for the repose of the deceased

Christian believers living on earth have the opportunity to repent of their sins, and they will be forgiven, but the deceased do not have this opportunity. You can ask God for mercy for your relatives who have passed on to another world.

Nicholas the Wonderworker is one of the most revered and beloved saints among Orthodox Christians. Prayers addressed...

While studying, many people experience stress and excessive mental stress. Get rid of fears and...

Prayer differs from conspiracy in that it is a conversation between the person praying and the Almighty. A person receives the answer in the form of life circumstances, and it is within the power of a person to appease God, ask for his need and be heard.

If the prayer is read without understanding, then there is no need to expect an answer. The soul and heart, mind and will take part in prayer. In this case, the conversion will be effective and pleasing to the Lord. There are a number of Orthodox prayers that are universal and suitable for any life situation.

The Secret of Effective Prayer

IN Holy Scripture The secret of effective prayer has been given. It sounds like this: “... the intense prayer of the righteous can accomplish much.” That is, if a person is close to God with his life, then his prayer will be more likely to be heard.

A Christian must try to live according to the commandments of the Lord and follow in life following rules:

  • try to love your neighbors as God loves everyone;
  • do not hold a grudge against offenders, as the Lord forgives everyone;
  • weep with those who mourn, rejoice with those who rejoice;
  • repent of committed sins;
  • glorify God always, both in sorrow and in prosperity.

Since not many can boast of righteousness, Christians from ancient times asked the saints to intercede with God. Saints are heavenly intercessors before the throne of God, being of the same nature with man, they treat humanity with sympathy and offer their prayers for people.

The most powerful prayers are prayers spoken from the heart, with the promise of correcting one's life according to God's command.

Selected Powerful Prayers

Prayers have helped more than one person gain health, quit bad habits, find Good work. You can ask God for help about love, female happiness, peace in the family.

Since ancient times, Orthodox Christians have prayed to such saints as Panteleimon the Healer for health, Nicholas the Wonderworker for success in business and prosperity on the road, and the Guardian Angel for protection from all kinds of evil.

Prayer to Jesus Christ

Prayer has the power to defeat the laws of nature; it is a shield and amulet against all enemies. IN sacred history There are known facts when the Almighty God himself changed anger to mercy through the prayer of a righteous man.

The strongest and quickest prayer to hear is the Jesus Prayer: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” This appeal is considered a perfect prayer; it can be said in any situation that requires a solution. The Almighty will definitely indicate the answer and send help.

The Lord's Prayer for all occasions was given to Christians by Jesus himself as a model of godly conversion. This prayer contains all the basic needs and requests of a person. The main direction of thought is aspiration towards God, complete surrender of oneself to His holy Will. While reading, there should be a mood of hope in your heart.

Prayers to the Virgin Mary

In difficulties, they turn to the Mother of God as a loving mother and intercessor. The miraculous power of this prayer lies in the supermundane light with which it illuminates the soul of the person praying.

Quite simple and unpretentious, but in strong words will save you from trouble, drive away temptations and save more than once everyone who turns to her for help. Perseverance and faith in getting what you ask for will definitely bear fruit.

Appeal to Saint Nicholas

Nicholas the Wonderworker is rightfully the favorite Russian saint. People's love is based on the quick and effective help provided by the righteous. Just one short request in a difficulty is enough for the Pleaser to hear and send a solution. The short appeal goes like this: “Holy Father Nicholas, pray to God for us.”

People turn to Saint Nicholas for help in the following needs:

  • healing from a serious illness;
  • successful operation;
  • safe long journey;
  • success at work;
  • family matters.

Guardian angel

Each Christian at baptism receives his own personal angel, who accompanies him throughout his life, and after death follows the person to the Last Judgment. The angel is called to remind the ward of God, guard his conscience, and protect him from evil.

Among the many amazing books by Bernard Werber, The Tree of the Possible occupies a special place.

...if a huge stinking meteorite falls into the center of Paris,

...if aliens breed us like pets,

...if it turns out that trees are intelligent, thinking creatures,

...if your own hand will rebel against you...

It turns out that the future is a completely controllable element, subject to us, but we need to think about it in advance...

Bernard Werber
The Tree of Possibility and Other Stories

Dedicated to Titian

Preface

When I was little, my father always told me a story at night.

And then I saw her in a dream.

Every time the world seemed too complicated, I made up a fairy tale that contained a little of my troubles. This brought immediate relief.

At school, children asked me to write stories for them. Often these stories began with the words: “He opened the door and froze.”

Over time, the stories became more and more incredible. Then it turned into a game with the only rule - find a problem and then find an unusual solution to it.

When I wrote my first novel, in order not to forget how to quickly come up with fairy tales, I spent one hour in the evening writing stories. So I took a break from the morning labors devoted to the creation of “serious novels.”

The plot for the short story was born from observations during a walk, from conversations with a friend, from dreams, from sorrows that I wanted to get rid of by moving them into a story.

The Mystery of Numbers was inspired by a conversation with my little nephew, who told me that in his class there was a hierarchy that divided students into those who could count to ten and those who could count further.

The idea for “Blackness” came to me when I saw an overly caring passerby trying to get an old man across the road who didn’t need it at all.

"The Last Riot" was written after visiting a nursing home.

"The Silent Friend" - after a conversation with Professor Gerard Amzallag, a biologist who studies various shapes life. Scientific discovery, described in the novel, is little known, but completely real.

Some details from "Let's Learn to Love Them" will be included in the play, which is called "Our Human Friends."

It has always been interesting to me, when talking about us humans, to take the point of view of beings different from us. This is an inexhaustible source of thought. I have already used the "exotic view of humanity" technique in "Ants", where my hero, number 103, tries to understand human behavior by watching the news on TV, and in "Empire of Angels", where Michel Panson observes mortals from heaven and with bitterness makes sure that they are trying to "reduce their misfortunes instead of building happiness."

Ants and angels: two points of view on a person - from infinitely “low” to infinitely “high”. This book will have an infinitely “different” point of view.

The Tree of Possibility is an invention I've been dreaming about ever since I lost to the computer at chess. If a bunch of pieces of iron are capable of anticipating any possible options development of the party, why not put into it the entire body of human knowledge, all the hypotheses of the future, so that it gives possible options for the development of our society for a short, medium and long period of time.

"School for Young Gods" is a draft of a future novel that continues "Empire of Angels." Its problems are education and everyday life one of the gods who govern us.

These short stories will help the reader understand how my novels are born.

Each story is an assumption taken to its logical conclusion. What will happen if you launch a rocket into the Sun, if meteorite will fall to the Luxembourg Gardens if human skin becomes transparent...

I would like to tell these stories in your ear.

Let's learn to love them

As a child, each of us had entertainment - people at home. They sat in a cage, spun tirelessly in a wheel, or lived in an aquarium with a beautiful artificial landscape.

However, in addition to tame people, there are also wild ones. They are not at all similar to those that live in our gutters and in attics, multiplying rapidly and forcing us to use humanicides.

Not long ago, a planet was discovered where wild people live, without even knowing about our existence. This strange place is located near Kosmostrada 33. Wild people live together. They have created large nests, know how to use tools, and even have a communication system based on a characteristic squeak. There are many legends about this planet, where wild creatures live. They say that they have bombs that can destroy the entire planet and that they use pieces of paper instead of money. Some say that they eat each other and build cities at the bottom of the sea. To separate fact from fiction, our government, since 12008 (as part of the "Don't Kill Them Without Trying To Understand" program), has sent researchers to this planet to study wild people while remaining invisible to them. We present the results of these little-known studies in this article. Here's her plan:

Wild human beings in their natural habitat.

Their customs and method of reproduction.

How to care for them at home.

Wild human creatures in natural habitat

1. Where can you meet wild people?

Human beings are found almost everywhere in our galaxies, but the only place where they have been able to develop independently is the Earth. Where is this planet located? When going on vacation, you often wonder how to avoid big space traffic jams. Take Kosmostrada 33, perhaps longer, but less crowded. Pull over near road number 707 and you will see a yellowish, dim galaxy. Park your interplanetary car and approach.

On the left side of this galaxy you will notice a rather old and shabby solar system, where Earth is the only planet with signs of life.

The earth is surrounded by white vapor, its surface has a bluish tint. This is explained by the large amount of oxygen, hydrogen and carbon in its atmosphere.

2. How to recognize them?

Take a magnifying glass and look at the savage: thick hair on the top of his head, pink, white or brown skin, paws with many toes. When walking, people maintain balance on their hind legs, with their butts slightly protruding. They breathe (mainly oxygen) through two small holes, and through the other two they perceive sounds. Two more holes serve to capture vibrations of light waves. (Craig's experiment: if a person is blindfolded, he will start to stumble.) Humans do not have a radar system that allows them to navigate in the dark, which explains their weaker nighttime activity compared to daytime. (Brons' experiment: put a person in a box and close the lid. After a short period of time, the person begins to emit a desperate squeak. People are afraid of the dark.)

3. How to find people on Earth?

There are many ways to detect them. First of all, these are lights at night and smoke during the day. When you land your interplanetary vehicle, you will notice their trails - large black lines.

Sometimes in the forest you can meet people-tourists, or people-peasants, or people-scouts.

There are many subspecies of humans on Earth: aquatic people with black flipper-like legs, flying people with a large triangular wing on their back, smoking people who constantly release steam from their mouths.

4. How to approach them?

All morning prayers Orthodox Church you can find in this article. The editors of Orthodoxy and Peace have collected for you the texts of prayers and explanations for them.

All morning prayers

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen

Then wait a little until all your feelings come to silence and your thoughts leave everything earthly, and then say the following prayers, without haste and with heartfelt attention:

Publican's Prayer

(Gospel of Luke, chapter 18, verse 13)
God, be merciful to me, a sinner. (Bow)

Initial prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, prayers for the sake of Your Most Pure Mother and all the saints, have mercy on us. Amen. Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfills everything, Treasure of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save, O Good One, our souls.(2)

Trisagion

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (Read three times, with sign of the cross and a bow from the waist.) Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer to the Most Holy Trinity

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Master, forgive our iniquities; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake. Lord have mercy. (Thrice). Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen. (3)

Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven! Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as it is in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors; and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Troparia Trinity

Having risen from sleep, we fall down to Thee, the Good One, and cry out to Thee, the Mightier, the angelic song: Holy, Holy, Holy art thou, O God, have mercy on us through the Mother of God. Glory: From bed and sleep You have raised me up, O Lord, enlighten my mind and heart, and open my lips to sing to You, Holy Trinity: Holy, Holy, Holy are You, O God, have mercy on us through the Mother of God.
And now: Suddenly the Judge will come, and every deed will be exposed, but we call with fear (4) at midnight: Holy, Holy, Holy art thou, O God, have mercy on us through the Mother of God. Lord have mercy. (12 times)

Prayer to the Most Holy Trinity

Having risen from sleep, I thank Thee, Holy Trinity, for for the sake of Thy goodness and long-suffering, Thou hast not been angry with me, lazy and sinful, nor hast Thou destroyed me with my iniquities; but you usually loved mankind and in the despair of the one who lay down, you raised me up to practice and glorify Your power. And now enlighten my mental eyes, open my lips to learn Thy words, and to understand Thy commandments, and to do Thy will, and to sing to Thee in heartfelt confession, and to sing Thy all-holy name, of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages. centuries. Amen.
Come, let us worship our King God. (Bow)
Come, let us worship and fall down before Christ, our King God. (Bow)
Come, let us bow and fall down to Christ Himself, the King and our God. (Bow)

Psalm 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy, and according to the multitude of Your mercies, cleanse my iniquity. Above all, wash me from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin; for I know my iniquity, and I will take away my sin before me. I have sinned against You alone and have done evil before You, so that You may be justified in Your words and triumph over the judgment of You. Behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and my mother gave birth to me in sins. Behold, you have loved the truth; You have revealed to me the unknown and secret wisdom of Yours. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. My hearing brings joy and joy; humble bones will rejoice. Turn Your face away from my sins and cleanse all my iniquities. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right spirit in my womb. Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit away from me. Reward me with the joy of Your salvation and strengthen me with the Lord’s Spirit. I will teach the wicked Your way, and the wicked will turn to You. Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, God of my salvation; My tongue will rejoice in Your righteousness. Lord, open my mouth, and my mouth will declare Your praise. As if you had desired sacrifices, you would have given them: you do not favor burnt offerings. The sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God will not despise a broken and humble heart. Bless Zion, O Lord, with Your favor, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then favor the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering; Then they will place the bullock on Your altar.

Symbol of faith

I believe in one God, the Father, Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, visible to all and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only begotten, who was born of the Father before all ages; Light from Light, true God from true God, born, uncreated, consubstantial with the Father, to Whom all things were. For our sake, man and our salvation came down from heaven and became incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became human. She was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried. And he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father. And again the coming one will be judged with glory by the living and the dead, His Kingdom will have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Life-Giving One, who proceeds from the Father, who is with the Father and the Son, is worshiped and glorified, who spoke the prophets. Into one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the remission of sins. I hope for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the next century. Amen.

First prayer of Saint Macarius the Great

God, cleanse me, a sinner, for I have done nothing good before You; but deliver me from the evil one, and may Thy will be done in me, may I open my unworthy lips without condemnation and praise Thy holy name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages Amen.

Second prayer, of the same saint

Rising from sleep, I bring the midnight hymn to Ti, Savior, and falling down crying to Ti: do not let me fall asleep in a sinful death, but be gracious to me, crucified by will, and hasten me lying in laziness, and save me in standing and in prayer, and in sleep Rise up nightly for me a sinless day, O Christ God, and save me.

Prayer three, of the same saint

To You, Lord, Lover of Mankind, having risen from sleep, I come running, and I strive for Your works with Your mercy, and I pray to You: help me at all times, in every thing, and deliver me from all worldly evil things and the devil’s haste, and save me, and bring us into Your eternal Kingdom. For You are my Creator and the Provider and Giver of every good thing, and all my hope is in You, and I send up glory to You, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer four, of the same saint

Lord, Who through Your many goodness and Your great bounty has given me, Your servant, the passing time of this night without misfortune to pass away from all evil that is contrary to me; You Yourself, Master, the Creator of all things, grant me with Your true light and an enlightened heart to do Your will, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Fifth prayer, Saint Basil the Great

Lord Almighty, God of hosts and all flesh, living in the highest and looking down on the humble, testing the hearts and wombs and innermost parts of men, the fore-foreseen One, the Beginningless and Ever-Everlasting Light, with Him there is no change or overshadowing; Himself, Immortal King, accept our prayers, even now, boldly for the multitude of Your bounties, from the bad lips we create towards You, and forgive us our sins, whether in deed, word, and thought, knowledge, or ignorance, we have sinned; and cleanse us from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit. And grant us with a cheerful heart and a sober thought to pass through the whole night of this present life, awaiting the coming of the bright and revealed day of Your Only Begotten Son, the Lord and God and our Savior Jesus Christ, in which the Judge of all will come with glory, to whom he will give to each according to his deeds; May we not fall and become lazy, but be watchful and raised up for the work that is to come, and prepare for the joy and Divine palace of His glory, where those who celebrate the unceasing voice and the ineffable sweetness of those who behold Your face, the ineffable kindness. For You are the true Light, you enlighten and sanctify all things, and all creation sings to You forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer six, of the same saint

We bless you, O highest God and Lord of mercy, who always does great and unexplored, glorious and terrible things to us, countless in number, giving us sleep for the repose of our weakness, and the weakening of the labors of the arduous flesh. We thank Thee, for Thou didst not destroy us with our iniquities, but Thou didst usually love mankind, and in desperation, Thou didst raise us up to glorify Thy power. In the same way, we pray for Your immeasurable goodness, enlighten our thoughts, our eyes, and raise our minds from the heavy sleep of laziness: open our lips, and fulfill Your praise, so that we can unwaveringly sing and confess to You, in all, and from all, to the glorified God, To the Beginningless Father, with Your Only Begotten Son, and Your All-Holy and Good and Life-Giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Seventh prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos

I sing Thy grace, O Lady, I pray to Thee, my mind is filled with grace. Go right and teach me the path of Christ’s commandments. Strengthen your children to songs, driving away despondency and sleep. Bound by the captivity of the Falls, allow me through Your prayers, Bride of God. Preserve me in the night and in the day, delivering me to those who fight against the enemy. She who gave birth to God, the life-giver, was killed by my passions and revived. Who gave birth to the non-evening Light, enlighten my blind soul. O wondrous Lady of the Palace, create for me the house of the Divine Spirit. You who gave birth to a doctor, heal my soul of many years of passion. Worried by the storm of life, guide me towards the path of repentance. Deliver me from eternal fire, and from evil worms, and from tartar. Do not show me joy as a demon, who is guilty of many sins. Create me again, having promised to be insensible, Immaculate, without sin. Show me the strangeness of all kinds of torment, and implore the Lord to all. Heavenly grant me joy with all the saints. Most Holy Virgin, hear the voice of Your indecent servant. Give me a stream of tears, Most Pure One, cleansing the filth of my soul. I bring lamentations from my heart to You continually, be zealous, Lady. Accept my prayer service and bring it to the blessed God. Transcending Angel, create me above the fusion of the world. Light-bearing heavenly Seine, direct spiritual grace in me. I lift up my hand and my lips to praise, defiled by filth, O All-Immaculate One. Deliver me from the dirty tricks that are strangling me, diligently begging Christ; To Him is due honor and worship, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer eight, to our Lord Jesus Christ

My most merciful and all-merciful God, Lord Jesus Christ, for the sake of love you came down and became incarnate for many reasons, so that you would save everyone. And again, Savior, save me by grace, I pray to You; Even if you save me from works, there is no grace and no gift, but more than debt. Hey, abundant in generosity and ineffable in mercy! Believe in Me, you say, O my Christ, you will live and will not see death forever. Even if faith in You saves the desperate, behold, I believe, save me, for You are my God and Creator. Let faith instead of works be imputed to me, O my God, for you will not find works to justify me. But may my faith prevail instead of all, may it answer, may it justify me, may it show me to be a partaker of Your eternal glory. Let Satan not kidnap me, and boast to the Word that he has torn me from Your hand and fence; But either I want, save me, or I don’t want, Christ my Savior, I will soon foresee, I will soon perish: For you are my God from my mother’s womb. Grant me, O Lord, now to love Thee, as sometimes I have loved that same sin; and again work for You without laziness, just as you worked before the flattering Satan. Most of all, I will serve You, my Lord and God Jesus Christ, all the days of my life, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Ninth prayer to the Guardian Angel

Holy Angel, standing before my accursed soul and my passionate life, do not leave me, a sinner, nor depart from me for my intemperance. Do not give room to the evil demon to possess me through the violence of this mortal body; strengthen my poor and thin hand and guide me on the path of salvation. To her, holy Angel of God, guardian and patron of my accursed soul and body, forgive me everything, I have offended you so greatly all the days of my life, and if I sinned this past night, cover me on this day, and save me from every opposite temptation May I not anger God in any sin, and pray for me to the Lord, that He may strengthen me in His passion, and show me worthy as a servant of His goodness. Amen.

Prayer tenth, to the Most Holy Theotokos

My Most Holy Lady Theotokos, with Your saints and all-powerful prayers, take away from me, Your humble and accursed servant, despondency, oblivion, foolishness, negligence, and all the nasty, evil and blasphemous thoughts from my accursed heart and from my darkened mind; and extinguish the flame of my passions, for I am poor and damned. And deliver me from many and cruel memories and enterprises, and free me from all evil actions. For Thou art blessed from all generations, and glorified is Thy most honorable name forever and ever. Amen.

About the living

Remember, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, Thy mercy and generosity from all eternity, for whose sake Thou didst become man, and Thou didst deign to endure crucifixion and death, for the sake of the salvation of those who believe in Thee; and rose from the dead, you ascended into heaven and sit at the right hand of God the Father, and look upon the humble prayers of those who call upon You with all their hearts: incline Your ear, and hear the humble prayer of me, Your indecent servant, in the stench of the spiritual fragrance, brought to You for all Your people . And in the first place, remember Your Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, which You have provided with Your venerable Blood, and establish, and strengthen, and expand, multiply, pacify, and preserve the insurmountable gates of hell forever; Calm the tearing of the Churches, quench the pagan vacillations, and quickly destroy and eradicate the heresies of rebellion, and convert them into nothingness by the power of Your Holy Spirit. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on our God-protected country, its authorities and army, protect their power with peace, and subdue every enemy and adversary under the nose of the Orthodox, and speak peaceful and good words in their hearts about Your Holy Church, and about all Your people: let us live a quiet and silent life in orthodoxy, and in all piety and purity. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on our Great Lord and Father His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, your Eminence metropolitans, archbishops and Orthodox bishops, priests and deacons, and the entire church clergy, who You have appointed to shepherd Your verbal flock, and through their prayers have mercy and save me, a sinner. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on my spiritual father (his name), and with his holy prayers forgive my sins. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on my parents (their names), brothers and sisters, and my relatives according to the flesh, and all the neighbors of my family, and friends, and grant them Your peaceful and most peaceful goodness. (Bow) Save, O Lord, and have mercy according to the multitude of Your bounties, all the sacred monks, monks and nuns, and all those living in virginity and reverence and fasting in monasteries, in deserts, in caves, mountains, pillars, gates, rock crevices, and sea islands, and in every place of Thy dominion those who live faithfully, and piously serve Thee, and pray to Thee: ease their burden, and comfort their sorrow, and grant them strength and strength to strive for Thee, and through their prayers grant me remission of sins. (Bow)

Save, O Lord, and have mercy on the old and the young, the poor and the orphans and the widows, and those who are in sickness and sorrow, troubles and sorrows, conditions and captivity, prisons and imprisonments, and even more so in persecution, for You for the sake of the Orthodox faith, from the tongue of the godless, from the apostate and from the heretics, Thy present servants, and remember, visit, strengthen, comfort, and soon by Thy power I will weaken, grant them freedom and deliver. (Bow)

Save, O Lord, and have mercy on those who do good to us, who are merciful and nourishing to us, who gave us alms, and who commanded us to the unworthy to pray for them, and who give us rest, and do Thy mercy to them, granting them all, even petitions for salvation, and the perception of eternal blessings . (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on those sent to the service, those traveling, our fathers and brethren, and all Orthodox Christians. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on them who I tempted with my madness, and turned away from the path of salvation, and led me to evil and inappropriate deeds; By Your Divine Providence, return again to the path of salvation. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on those who hate and offend me, and those who create misfortunes against me, and do not leave them to perish for my sake, a sinner. (Bow)

Those who have departed from the Orthodox faith and are blinded by destructive heresies, enlighten with the light of Your knowledge and bring Your Holy Apostles to the Catholic Church. (Bow)
