Information for customers

Types of profiled timber

Profile A- This classic look profile, has a wide groove, compensation cut at the top and bottom (it saves the timber from cracks). The timber fits tightly to each other, and in order to prevent the house from shrinking, the crowns are fastened with wooden dowels. The joints of the beams in the corners of the house are made according to the dovetail principle, which ensures that there are no through gaps in the house.

Profile B- This type of profile, which is often called Finnish or Scandinavian, is the most popular in the construction of houses made of timber. It has a double lock (which ensures the tightest fit of the crowns among themselves), a special cut at the top and bottom (it saves the timber from cracking). Better thermal insulation jute helps ( special seal which is placed between the crowns). Also, the crowns of the house are fastened with wooden dowels (so that the timber does not move when it dries out). The beams in the corners of the house are sawed down dovetail(so that there are no through gaps in the house). A house made of timber of this profile is very durable, warm and usually lasts for many years without repair.

Profile B- If you are choosing between profiled timber and logs, this profile is an excellent option, as it has all the advantages of option A, plus with outside imitates a log. Jute is placed between the beams (the best insulation, many times better than moss and tow). And the crowns are additionally fastened with dowels (these are wooden sticks for attaching the timber to each other). This fastening ensures even shrinkage of the house.

Layout

We present to your attention two-storey house from a log. The cottage has a veranda, which makes it even more attractive to buyers. The house has three bedrooms, so a family can live there permanently. The next advantage of the house is the material that was used during construction. Wood - environmentally friendly pure material. In addition, in such houses it is very easy to maintain desired temperature air.

A country house made of rounded 6x8 logs can be built on a plot small area. Single-story option will become a cozy cottage, and two-story cottage- a comfortable place for family living. Manifold architectural projects makes it possible to choose the type of structure that suits personal preferences and needs. This could be a log house in the form of a tower, a house with an attic, a carved porch or a terrace.

Why are log houses popular?

Rounded logs are a structural material obtained from a tree trunk using high-tech machine processing. The quality of wood determines performance characteristics future building. It is important that logs of proper quality are selected for the construction of a residential building (assessment is carried out according to the parameters of moisture content, uniformity and structure of the wood).

The price of a 6x8 house made of rounded logs depends on the quality of the materials (the cost of wood of different species varies in wide range), the complexity of the project and the technologies used. Subject to compliance with building standards and rules, a structure made from high-quality logs will become reliable, durable, and comfortable to live in. country cottage. The advantages of living in log house are the following points:

  • favorable microclimate;
  • minimal heating costs (wood prevents the leakage of warm air);
  • no need to use decorative finishing(even log walls look beautiful on their own);
  • low construction cost (compared to houses made of stone and brick).

A house made of rounded larch, cedar and oak logs is not inferior in strength and durability to stone buildings.

Construction times for houses made of rounded logs

Construction of a log house takes little time - 45-60 days in the warm season, in the absence of extreme weather conditions. However, how many months will it take for the building to be ready for some internal work(for example, installation of stairs or installation decorative designs), depends on many factors:

  1. The time of year during which construction takes place.
  2. Characteristics of the log (moisture level).
  3. Wood species.
  4. Climatic conditions.

Work in the field of wooden architecture must be carried out experienced craftsmen, knowledgeable about the features shrinkage of coniferous buildings and hardwood. Wood is a living material that changes its properties depending on external conditions.

Wood compression occurs as the material dries - the period of primary stabilization of the log structure natural humidity is at least 7 months. Thus, a house built on a turnkey basis will continue to shrink for a long time, although this process will occur less and less actively every year.

To prevent deformation of the structure, they use special technologies- installation of casing boxes in doorways and window frames, as well as compensators for vertical supports. Adjustment of stabilizing structures is carried out monthly.

Price log house(6x8) of simple design is 2-4 million rubles. Of course, the price increases many times with use valuable wood. As for the comfort of living, this factor completely depends on the punctuality of compliance with construction technologies and quality construction material.
