In the near future, bright LEDs will replace lamps in emergency lighting in public places and in transport - in airplanes, trains, cars. Indeed, already now, the development of technologies and the reduction in the cost of production have led to the fact that rather bright LED lighting of roads and streets is installed in China. Naturally, this gives significant energy savings. But powerful bright LEDs cannot work without special optics. A number of companies produce such optics for high-power LEDs, otherwise the light emitting from the LED will not have the same light angle as required. It is well regulated, but not by changing the voltage on it - this is absolutely impossible (!), But by the method of pulse-width modulation, which requires a special control unit or simply by adjusting the current. The PWM method consists in the fact that a pulse-modulated current is not supplied to the LED, but its frequency is several kilohertz, and the width of the pulses and pauses between them changes. This makes the brightness of the LED controllable.
