1 area of use
1 area of use
This standard applies to water-folding mixers and taps for washbasins, washstands, sinks, sinks, bathtubs, showers, bidets, designed for supplying and mixing cold and hot (temperature up to 75°C) water coming from centralized or local cold and hot water supply systems at operating pressure from 0.05 to 0.63 MPa or from 0.05 to 1.0 MPa.
Mandatory requirements are set out in paragraphs 3.2, 3.4 - 3.16.
2 Normative references
This standard uses references to the following standards:
GOST 8870-79 Water heating columns for bathtubs. Specifications
GOST 19681-94 Sanitary water fittings. General technical conditions

3.2 The symbol for the type of mixer or tap in the technical documentation or when ordering must consist of the letters: Cm - for a mixer or Kr - for a tap, the type of mixer or tap indicated by a sequential set of letter designations given in 3.1, and the designation of this standard.
In the symbol of a wall-mounted mixer, before the designation of this standard, add the numbers 10 or 15 depending on the center-to-center distance of the fittings of 100 or 150 mm.
An example of a symbol for the type of faucet for a washbasin, single-handle, central, on-board, with an aerator:
Sm-UMOTSBA GOST 25809-96
The same, for washing a two-handle, central, on-board with an aerator:
Sm-MDTsBA GOST 25809-96
The same, for a bathtub, single-handle, separate, wall-mounted, with a shower net on a flexible hose and rod, with a stream straightener and a center-to-center distance of 150 mm:
Sm-VORNShtSt-15 GOST 25809-96

3.3 Shape and design of mixer and tap bodies, water switches, spouts, aerators, shower tubes, hoses, shower nets, brushes, handwheels of valve heads or handles, parts for connecting mixers and taps to cold and hot water networks, attaching shower nets to the wall or on the mixer body are not regulated by this standard, but are determined by working drawings.
3.4 Wall-mounted mixers are manufactured with a distance between the centers of the fittings for connecting water supply pipes equal to 100 and 150 mm, in accordance with customer orders.
3.5 Mixer and tap spouts are made with an aerator, stream straightener or flared spout.
3.6 The main and connecting dimensions of mixers and taps and maximum deviations from dimensions must correspond to those indicated in Figures 1-29 and Tables 1-11.
3.7 Central mixers for washbasins and sinks are made with a cast tee or with flexible tubes designed to connect the mixer to cold and hot water networks, the main dimensions of which are indicated in Figure 22.
3.8 The main dimensions of the valve seat and seat threads for connecting valve heads must correspond to those shown in Figure 24.
3.9 The thread size of union nuts and fittings for connecting shower tubes and hoses should be G = 1/2-B, and of rotary spouts - G 3/4-B.

3.11 The thread dimensions of the aerator connection to the spouts must correspond to those shown in Figure 25.
3.12 Mixers and central on-board taps must have a body size that ensures their installation on a sink, sink, washbasin or washbasin opening with a diameter of 34 mm.
3.13 Flexible connections for central and on-board mixers (Figure 22) should ensure ease of installation (bending without the use of additional tools).
3.14 Branch pipes for connecting wall-mounted mixers to cold and hot water networks must have an eccentricity of at least 3 mm and internal flanges or external flats for screwing them into a coupling or square.
3.15 The design of mixers for hot water columns should exclude the possibility of increasing the pressure in the water tank of the column above 0.1 MPa.
3.16 Manufacturers must supply mixers and taps as a set. The kit includes a mixer or tap with all parts (cladding washers, pipes or connections to cold or hot water networks, fastening parts, gaskets, etc.) specified in the technical documentation.
3.17 Technical requirements, acceptance rules, test methods, labeling, packaging, transportation, storage, instructions for installation and operation of mixers and taps and manufacturer’s warranties - in accordance with GOST 19681.
