Due to the fact that murder statistics are still not accurate, in some countries they prefer to compile their own statistics, they are distrustful of international ratings, believing that they are deliberately knocked out in such a way as to deprive one or another state of investment, tourism and other attractiveness. For example, world statistics give a figure for Russia as 9.2 murders per 100 thousand of the population, and domestic demographic statistics for the same 2016 show 7 murders per 1000 people (10.4 people died per year as a result of someone else's criminal actions) .

Of course, humanitarian aid has not yet been delivered to us, but the 154th place out of 219 possible in the ranking of deliberate killings surrounded by the Philippines, Gabon, Kyrgyzstan, Peru, Angola and other countries, to put it mildly, the "third world" even somehow makes to think - why does the world community send them provisions to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe, but not to us?

In our country, there are a lot of stupid and obscure laws even for lawyers - but on serious articles everything is more or less clear. The famous "one hundred and fifth" clearly explains in parts and points to whom and how much it shines. And there are all rather big numbers - for the most part two-digit ones.

However, the prospect of imprisonment for a long time does not scare everyone in our country - for every 100,000 people in Russian zones, 439 people are imprisoned for premeditated murder (the average in EU countries is 139).

It’s not even the top places in the ranking of Liechtenstein and Monaco that makes you jealous, but the very number “0” in the column for the number of murders per 100 thousand of the population. No, of course, serious crimes sometimes happen in these paradises, but specifically murders - a maximum of once every few years. And the rating calculated according to the methodology of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is compiled once in the same few years. A murder happened in some principality during this time, the “zero” hesitated a little, did not happen - so it remained “zero”.

In the top ten are Japan, Hong Kong, Iceland and even Indonesia with homicide rates of 0.2-0.6. In general, the whole of Europe, except for Belarus, Moldova, Turkey, Latvia, Estonia, Albania and Montenegro, is represented in the first seven dozen countries, but the above states, some of which are very restless and even explosive, occupy places noticeably higher than the Russian Federation.

Surprisingly, Ukraine, engulfed in civil war, is in 104th place, that is, 40 points higher than us with a level of 4.3 against our 9.2. And in general, among the republics of the former Soviet Union, only Turkmenistan is “killer” than Russia (181st place).

Although what is there - blazing Afghanistan with an indicator of 6.5 - in 125th place, Somalia in 142nd (8) and Iraq - in 144 (8) in the list look much safer than Russia. But all this is a list of countries where it is not recommended to go not only to tourists - to anyone at all!
