How to start a business with coffee machines. Combination machines with coffee making function. Also, don't forget about your monthly expenses.

Business on coffee machines is a very promising direction. But the competition here is very high. A beginner can succeed, but before purchasing machines it is necessary to thoroughly study the demand, offers of competitors and equipment manufacturers. By comparing data in these areas, you can compile detailed business plan, choose correct location for your machines and minimize risks.

Main risks

The most important component of this direction is the correct placement of the machines. Before installing the device, carefully study the demand for your service. Even the most detailed research and perfect calculations do not guarantee profits. You will have to learn a lot in practice. If the machine does not generate income within 1-2 months, it should simply be transported to another location.

The machines break down. You need to prepare yourself for the need to quickly troubleshoot problems yourself. If you do not have the necessary qualifications, you will have to hire a specialist. Just remember that every minute the machine malfunctions is a loss of profit.

Selling coffee through vending machines is at significant risk from unbalanced citizens or simply hooligans. Devices will be broken regularly. It is possible to protect the machines. Install a CCTV camera. If you don’t have the funds yet, look for a place that falls within the coverage area of video cameras of establishments located nearby. Also, give preference to buildings with security.

Location

Even the most inexperienced beginner does not need to explain that the correct placement of machines is the most important component of success. Look for places with the highest traffic of potential buyers. The most profitable areas, with obvious high potential, are already occupied, but start searching and trying to negotiate a lease from them.

The largest revenue comes from train stations, airports, bus stations and metro stations. The possibility of installing an automatic machine for a beginner here is very low, but it’s worth a try.

Shopping centers, buildings with a large number of office premises, banks, and business centers also have great potential.

Separately, opportunities in educational institutions should be explored. To increase sales, know the class schedule in advance and prepare for the need to ensure maximum machine performance during breaks. Students buy the cheapest drinks that take the least amount of time to prepare. This means that the ingredients for them must be loaded into the device with a reserve before the big change begins.

Good profits are made by machines located in the halls of clinics, parks, large parking lots or taxi stands, near government agencies. Also, you can rent a place at the entrance or in the dining room of large enterprises, in entertainment venues.

Each city has its own characteristics, after studying which you will definitely see promising areas for installing coffee machines.

There are two options for drawing up a lease agreement: a fixed monthly amount and a percentage of the machine’s revenue. If you prefer payment based on revenue, the landlord may see the situation differently. At the beginning, try to conclude a contract for a month. In a month, you will be able to make a conclusion whether it is worth extending the lease agreement or whether it is necessary to change the location of the equipment.

Equipment

The most expensive and important part of organizing a business is purchasing coffee machines. You can start even with one device and, as you receive income, expand the network, increasing their number. There are a lot of offers from coffee machine manufacturers on the market. A new device, depending on reliability and list of functions, costs from 150,000 to 350,000 rubles. Many manufacturers offer equipment to budding entrepreneurs on the basis of a leasing agreement. If you don’t have the opportunity to buy new equipment, buy a used machine. There are also plenty of similar offers. The cost of the devices ranges from 50,000 to 90,000 rubles, but it is important to carefully check the used machine for serviceability.

To quickly service the machines, transport ingredients and revenue, you need a car.

Ensuring the operation of machines

Water is poured into the devices. There is no need to supply water. Your task is to ensure that the machine always has water, cups and sticks for stirring drinks.

The most popular drinks: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cappuccino. The ingredients for them should also always be available. The most important point that will allow you to beat your competitors are good suppliers. Do not try to buy cheap, low-quality raw materials. Most of the revenue comes from regular customers who will love the taste of coffee from your machine. There will be queues for a quality drink even if there is another machine nearby, but with worse taste.

Each machine is designed for certain components and dosage during the preparation of drinks. To extend the service life and improve the quality of drinks, these recommendations must be followed. True, adjustments can be made to the programming of machines to improve the taste of coffee. This work should be performed by an experienced specialist.

Regularly fill the machine with change to dispense change. Put a sign on it with your phone number in case of breakdowns, non-delivery of change or other emergencies.

Personnel

You can service several machines yourself. If you have a technical education, the owner can handle minor breakdowns, although when purchasing equipment, you should sign a service agreement with the manufacturer or distributor.

If you notice that you do not have time to refuel the machines on time or respond to breakdowns as soon as possible, hire an assistant. In case of a large flow of customers, it makes sense to place an employee near the machine to replenish ingredients and prepare drinks in a timely manner. Typically, over the course of a week, you will be able to calculate whether this style of work is bringing benefits.

Documents and licenses

To open a business selling coffee using vending machines, it is enough to register an individual entrepreneur with the tax office. For this purpose, a simplified taxation scheme or UTII is provided.

Licensing is not provided for this area of entrepreneurship. Find out the sanitary inspection requirements in advance. You may be required to provide certificates for devices and ingredients that the supplier must provide.

Business payback

Depending on the quality of the ingredients, the cost of one serving of coffee or other drinks ranges from 3 to 11 rubles. The final price per serving is 20-40 rubles. The average income from each serving of drink is about 15 rubles. The minimum number of servings per day to achieve payback is 50-60. With a daily machine profit of 750-100 rubles and a monthly profit of 22,000-30,000 rubles, you can consider the place profitable. This is the minimum figure.

The average figure is about 35,000-45,000 rubles in profit per month from each machine. The upper limit of profitability under very good circumstances is 55,000.

Current expenses for rent, electricity, and maintenance are different for each case. Depending on the cost of the machine, you can expect a payback within five to ten months.

Marketing

The most effective marketing move is a good location and understanding of requests potential clients. For educational institution The cost and speed of preparing drinks is important. For a reputable office center with a high rent, you should select a machine that prepares bean coffee and has big choice drinks prepared with mineral water.

Choose only quality ingredients and reliable suppliers. Keep the machines clean, regularly replenish ingredients, carry out preventive inspections and maintain perfect technical condition equipment. Impeccable operation of the devices, delicious drinks– the most visual and effective advertising.

Starting with a minimum number of machines, constantly expand the network. Create a memorable brand.

Summary

A thorough approach to choosing the location of the machines, quality ingredients and impeccable service of the machines will definitely bring success to your endeavors.

Welcome to the magazine about business and finance “Rabota-Tam”.

It's no secret that for many decades now, for many people on the planet, a morning that begins without coffee is no longer a morning. Coffee is drunk in villages and towns, and in many life situations this tonic drink turns out to be the most suitable option. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to take a sip of your favorite drink in a cafe or at home, and then a coffee machine comes to the rescue.

These products have always been and will be in demand, which means that with a competent approach to the issue, a coffee-producing machine will ensure a quick return on investment for the business and will generate good income. Where to start?

How much profit can a coffee machine generate per month?

Obviously, by calculating possible profits and inevitable expenses. And the first item of such expenses is the cost of a coffee machine. It is worth noting here that the difference in prices is quite large: if we are talking about a new machine, then it is 75-400 thousand rubles, a used machine can be purchased from 45-70 thousand rubles, but this solution is not always profitable, because completely unpredictable repair costs.

Note that an “average” device, which has a large selection of drinks and does not cause trouble to its owner in technical terms, as of April 2015 can cost between 135-180 thousand rubles. Its payback will be approximately six months; accordingly, it is capable of providing about 150,000 rubles in profit.

However real income may differ significantly from this figure, both up and down. What does profit depend on? Probably, it depends on how income correlates with expenses, but here the situation is as follows: for an entrepreneur, a serving of coffee costs 8–13 rubles, and the buyer pays about 25–40 rubles for it.

Accordingly, one serving coffee drink brings in an income of 15–30 rubles. As practice shows, one machine sells 40–80 servings of an invigorating drink per day. Accordingly, you can earn from 600 to 2400 rubles per day.

Which approximately equals 18,000–72,000 rubles per month. The average profit that a coffee vending business brings is, as practice shows, 38–42 thousand rubles monthly.

Main expense items

Necessary expenses include renting a space (from 2 to 10 thousand rubles per month), electricity consumed by the device (1.5–7 thousand rubles) and routine maintenance (minimum 500 rubles). It is easy to calculate that expenses vary from 4 to 18–19 thousand rubles per month.

Thus, it is clear that this business capable of bringing net profit from 5–6 to 60–62 thousand rubles monthly.

In some cases, income may even be zero: this is possible if renting a place for a machine is too expensive, while this very place is not very well chosen.

Many novice businessmen believe that even one coffee machine can bring sufficient profit, and if this does not happen, it is easier to sell one coffee machine than several. In many ways, they are right: experienced vending specialists say that it makes sense to start a business with one or two copies and expand it only when the income clearly exceeds the costs, and there are good places to install new machines.

Which coffee machine is better to buy?

Today, choosing a suitable coffee machine is not difficult: Russian market offers about a hundred models for every taste and budget, with up to 15 new models appearing every year.

Everyone builds their business differently: one of the good options for starting it is to buy a modest, inexpensive, but reliable model of a foreign or Russian production(for example, Azkoyen Venetto or FAS Fashion 600 E6). In the hope of making money from such machines, entrepreneurs often buy several machines, forgetting that renting a place for selling coffee and related drinks is an important component success.

According to statistics, up to 30% of such copies, purchased “for future use”, without regard to the availability of a “passable” place, are sold in the first year after purchase. These are the ones that beginners who want to save money on starting a business should pay attention to.

On the other hand, when buying a “cool” coffee machine (for example, Kikko Max or Canto LB models), an entrepreneur can count not only on increased customer attention to the design of the mechanical seller, but also on making more purchases, since such machines offer a larger selection drinks (not only coffee, but also tea and even broth!), their varied dosage.

In addition, the quality of drinks in such coffee machines in the minds of the masses turns out to be invariably higher than in their less famous “brothers,” although this is not always true. It is also worth remembering that repairing an expensive mechanism will invariably be more expensive than repairing a “budget” one.

Coffee is one of the most popular modern drinks. It accompanies our morning getting up, lunch in the office, traveling by transport, waiting in the cabin. Almost anywhere in the metropolis, an alluring aroma will attract our attention - these are coffee machines. It turns out that you can not only spend money on your favorite drink, but also earn money with it.

For those who want to earn money

Entrepreneurship for the inexperienced seems incredibly profitable and at the same time difficult and inaccessible. This is not always the case: there are areas in which you can get by with your own ingenuity and small investments, and in return receive a stable and quite pleasant profit.

Remember the phrase “To live well, but to live well is even better?” The same can be said about business: making good money by providing people with convenience and pleasure. This fully characterizes coffee machines - a business whose reviews are very positive

Vending - profitable and affordable

This type of income was not invented yesterday: this method has long been used by experienced entrepreneurs in various variations. Such a remote business is called the fashionable word “vending” - from English “to trade through machines.”

This business (coffee machines) is quite successful. Reviews indicate that the equipment will pay for itself quickly. Many people love coffee, business expenses are relatively low, and with proper marketing it is possible to earn a good income.

Modern business - coffee machines

Reviews indicate that even entrepreneurs with no experience can start their own business trading using special equipment. And this option is just as suitable for experienced businessmen who want to develop another line of activity. It is important to think through and correctly calculate your actions - then the profit will not be long in coming. Several points are important in this matter:

  • the machine must be located in a crowded, frequently visited place: bus station, airport, clinic, salon, government agencies, universities, shopping centers - there are many options;
  • much depends on the rent that the owner of the premises asks for: in fact, it is small, because 1 sq. m is enough for equipment. m of area (but if there is an option to agree on a percentage of sales, this option would be ideal for starting);
  • do not skimp on the quality of the drink: the price should be reasonable and the quality should be high, so that customers are happy to use the services of the machine;
  • there is no need to hire office staff, with the exception of a service specialist, and this also makes the coffee machine business profitable;
  • Feedback from entrepreneurs suggests that the starting number of machines should be at least five, in which case the profit will be noticeable.

Is it necessary to register an individual entrepreneurship?

It should be understood that coffee machines are a business. Reviews from those experienced in this matter testify in favor of official registration. Supplying electricity, supplying water, renting premises, paying taxes - for these purposes it is preferable to have official permission.

In the current conditions, it is not difficult to obtain the status of an entrepreneur: you can contact the district tax office directly or intermediaries who will take care of the registration. Once you register, you can work peacefully. How do reviews recommend running a business (coffee machines)? Do I need to register an IP? The answer is clear - yes.

There are no activities provided, which is an additional advantage, but it is required for equipment. It is usually included with the purchased device, so receiving it will not create much trouble.

What other “ingredients” are needed to get started?

What kind of material investments will coffee machines as a business require? Owner reviews advise purchasing ingredients only from specialized companies supplying the vending business. Why is it important?

Coffee and other components of drinks that can be bought in vending machines are prepared in a special way, and their sticking and caking are completely eliminated. In addition, the raw material does not absorb foreign odors, dissolves easily and well, which makes the drink taste amazing.

To “refuel” the device you will need the following products:

  • coffee;
  • powdered milk or cream;
  • cocoa or hot chocolate (depending on the type of machine);
  • sugar;
  • mineral water;
  • disposable cups;
  • stirrers.

If at first it is not possible to hire an employee to service the device, you should also include in the costs the purchase of detergents and disinfectants for cleaning the equipment, which will have to be brought into marketable condition with your own efforts.

Brief business calculation

Where to start? We need to make a plan for (coffee machines). Reviews indicate that it is beneficial to start this business in partnership. To get a decent profit in the shortest possible time, experts advise purchasing five coffee machines, and this requires a certain starting capital. Based on this minimum, we obtain the following calculations:

  • purchase of 5 machines - on average 90,000 rubles. for one unit; total - 450,000 rubles;
  • purchase of ingredients for a month - 18,000 rubles.

Monthly expenses:

  • rent - from 1000 rub. per unit, total 5000 rub.;
  • payment for electricity supply - from 10,000 rubles. for all equipment;
  • maintenance of devices - from 1000 rubles per one; total - 5000 rub. per month.

From the calculations carried out, even those who doubt it will not be difficult to understand that coffee machines are a business.

Reviews: How long does it take for coffee vending to pay for itself?

Depends on the cost of equipment and components, on the size of the rent and, first of all, on the number of cups of aromatic drink prepared per day.

The averages are approximately as follows:

  • the cost of one glass is about 10 rubles;
  • The cost of a finished portion is about 30 rubles.

Experts say that a decent profit can be obtained if the machine produces from 30 to 50 cups per day, that is, high traffic at the location of the coffee machine should be supported by good quality of the product, so that customers strive to drink the next portion of coffee from this machine.

With such indicators and compliance with all conditions for good business conduct (operating condition of the device, quality water and components, advantageous combination prices and quality of products), investments in this business pay off in 9 months to a year.

Some talented entrepreneurs managed to arrange things in such a way that the business began to make a profit within 7 months! In this case, the seasonal factor also played into their hands, because in cold weather people are more willing to buy hot coffee.

Why do coffee machines work at a disadvantage?

Like every business, vending has its own risks, which is confirmed by some reviews from entrepreneurs.

Among all the vending machines, coffee machines stand apart. It is believed that they are the most profitable, and many people primarily associate the word “vending” with coffee. Such a business seems very simple, but this is not entirely true. Yes, there are not very high risks here, under certain conditions you don’t need a lot of starting capital, but, as they say, the dog is in the details. And the coffee machine business has more than enough such nuances.

Features of the coffee vending business

To the most important features can be attributed:

  • Possibility of easy and quick start.
  • Possibility to get by with a small investment.
  • Very large selection of equipment and ingredients.
  • Even in large cities you can find places without competition (although we note that among all areas of vending, coffee has the greatest competition).
  • There is no need to look for highly qualified and experienced personnel.
  • Low rent for space. Coffee machines occupy a small area.

These are the features that can be considered positive. But there are also negative (or at best neutral):

  • There is a very strong dependence on a good location; this is what determines the profitability of each individual coffee machine.
  • In large cities there are large companies that do business aggressively, pushing out small competitors. They are capturing more or less promising areas for sales.
  • Possible damage to equipment. Sometimes even intentional, on the part of competitors. This also happens, although rarely.

Also, at the very beginning of the article, we will immediately tell you the most important things. We will talk about choosing a location and other nuances below, but all this will not matter if you are offering a product of poor quality. And this depends not only on the machine itself, but also on the ingredients you buy.

The thing is that often the majority of sales are repeat sales. And if a person really didn’t like your coffee, he will never make a second purchase. Yes, there is a category of places where there can be new clients every day, but the number of such places is very limited. And coffee machines are often located where there are regular visitors (for example, office rooms). That's why for successful business on coffee machines the product must be very good quality. It may not be like in a cafe (where the cost is several times higher), but it’s definitely better than regular instant coffee from a can.

Place for a coffee machine: choosing the right one

List of places where coffee machines can be delivered good profit, big. What matters is that the best places are not those where there is very high traffic, but those where people stay for some time, albeit short:

  • transport hubs (stations, airports);
  • hospitals;
  • Gas stations and car washes;
  • educational establishments;
  • shopping and entertainment centers (this includes cinemas);
  • business and office buildings;
  • canteens of industrial enterprises;
  • government agencies.

These are traditional places, but it is always possible to find other options. The main thing is the crowd of people. Sometimes you can find completely unobvious places that turn out to be very profitable. For example, you placed a coffee machine next to a small office building where only fifty people work. But your coffee is so delicious that almost all of these people drink it every day. And the income from one glass is from 20 rubles, so do the math yourself.

If you decide to start a business with coffee machines, then be prepared to experiment. You can do without them, but this way you risk not finding the most advantageous places. You can always try to install the machine for a short period of time and look at the level of sales.

The following requirements apply to the space for the coffee machine:

  • possibility of connecting to the electrical network;
  • Free access;
  • It is highly desirable to install it in a safe place (protects it from vandals).

Required area - about one square meter. Most property owners are not against it additional income and easily agree to install machines, but there are exceptions. They may charge very high prices or refuse to rent out a place for other reasons. You should also be prepared for this.

It is advisable to carry out space for coffee machines, as well as negotiations with the owners of the premises before purchasing machines. Otherwise, it will be like starting to build a house without a plot of land.

How to test a location with minimal cost and maximum accuracy?

It is always better to check the point and only then enter into a long lease agreement. This is easy to do, but only if the owner of the premises meets you halfway. Agree with him on a trial period, which can be paid even double (in case of failure). It will be much cheaper than signing a lease for a few months and ending up with a bad place.

Calculating and testing a location is very simple. Any machine has the ability to collect statistics. The minimum period for testing is a week. Sometimes on some days sales can be very high, and on other days, on the contrary, low. Therefore, seven days is the minimum reasonable period that will allow objective testing. It makes no sense to install the machine for more than 14 days. If there are no sales, then there won’t be any.

After the test, it is necessary to analyze sales statistics and compare them with the specifics of the location. It's easier to explain in specific examples, for this we will make a table.

Day of the week Office building (number of sales) Car wash
Monday 15 24
Tuesday 36 26
Wednesday 47 29
Thursday 17 28
Friday 14 36
Saturday 3 18
Sunday 2 23

Now let’s decipher the received data. The drop in sales over the weekend in an office building is completely logical, but we should be wary of something else: a sharp drop in sales on Thursday and Friday. What could this mean? Most likely, people tried the coffee but didn’t like it, which is why we can see a drop in sales. It is also possible that the price was too high. In this case, it is advisable to conduct a survey and identify the real reason.

Everything is more even at the car wash, with the exception of a completely logical drop in sales on Saturday. There can be no questions here: the place is suitable and successful. But even here you can talk to the staff and find out what kind of feedback customers left.

Coffee machines for business: choosing equipment so you don’t regret it later

The cost of coffee machines ranges from 40 to 500 thousand rubles. The average price for a new and good coffee machine is 200–240 thousand rubles. It is often recommended to buy used or cheap equipment made in China, but this is a bad idea for obvious reasons. However, here you need to make a decision yourself; if you only have enough money for used coffee machines, then you can buy them too.

The difference in the cost of devices is caused by the following reasons:

  • machine quality;
  • assortment of drinks;
  • menu type, presence of screen;
  • Payment Methods.

Also, modern coffee machines can be equipped with additional useful functions. For example, the ability to remove all data from it (remaining ingredients, etc.) remotely via the Internet.

It is difficult to give specific advice on choosing equipment; here, focus on your own financial capabilities, as well as what you want to get as a result. However, there are three points to pay attention to:

  • Opportunity service, as well as the presence service center close to you. If a coffee machine breaks down, it will be very expensive to transport it thousands of kilometers. This question needs to be clarified before purchasing, especially if we're talking about about new models.
  • Warranty period, possibility of on-site warranty service.
  • The maximum ingredient load size may be important if you don't plan on serving them very often.

If you want to buy an old model, we recommend looking for reviews on the Internet (of course, not on the websites of companies that sell coffee machines). Sometimes you can find very useful information, which will make you refuse to buy one model in favor of another.

Registration and running a business

The optimal form of registering a business on coffee machines is individual entrepreneur. Taxation system - simplified tax system or UTII, or patent system. OKVED code: 47.99.2 (this is new code, which appeared in 2016).

No other permits or licenses are required, but please note that according to the rules, people who service machines are required to have a health certificate. You may also need permission from the SES and fulfill a number of conditions if the equipment is connected to a water supply system, but such models are practically never found in Russia.

What do coffee machines “fill” with?

The coffee machine uses the following ingredients and Consumables:

  • Coffee. Usually ground or in grains. Soluble is practically never found.
  • Different types of tea (by the way, buying a coffee machine that does not have the ability to make tea is very unwise).
  • Cocoa and hot chocolate.
  • Sugar.
  • Milk and cream (dry or granulated).
  • Water.
  • Cups and spoons for stirring.

You don’t need to invent anything: all the ingredients are sold specifically for coffee machines, and you just need to buy them. They are not exactly the same as those sold in regular stores. In particular, they dissolve faster and absorb moisture less well. Ideally, find a permanent supplier and work only with him.

You determine the dosage yourself, but usually it is about seven grams of coffee per glass. With every machine gun you must be given detailed instructions for setup and dosage recommendations.

Water is collected from springs or tap water is used, but it must be filtered. Do not forget that bad water may negatively affect taste. It must be clean and without the slightest content of foreign impurities.

Staff

High qualifications from the personnel are not required, although the person must be able to carry out simple repairs right on the spot. But this can be solved by training. Each machine comes with all necessary instructions, in which they talk about eliminating the most common problems. Most often these are problems with software or minor breakdowns (the hose has come off, etc.), which are easy to fix yourself.

If you have a small number of coffee machines, you may not need to hire staff at all, but you must be prepared to work for your business seven days a week. A rather controversial option, but with 2-3 machines, hiring staff will be really unnecessary. Set your salary based on the realities of your city.

Maintenance

One person a day can service from 10 to 15 coffee machines, it all depends on how far they are from each other. The frequency of service depends on the number of ingredients that can be loaded and the number of sales. On average, this is three days, but sometimes you have to do maintenance every day.

Since you have to carry not only consumables, but also water, you will need a car. By the way, when drawing up a business plan and planning expenses, this is very often forgotten, and they don’t mention it on other sites, but a car is really required. At least a passenger car. The issue can be resolved in two ways:

  • Only hire employees who own a car (and reimburse them for gas).
  • Buy a used and inexpensive car, which will be comparable in cost (or even cheaper) to one coffee machine.

We have already written about breakdowns above. It is also necessary to periodically wash coffee machines and carry out preventive maintenance(all this is in the technical documentation). Money is withdrawn once a week. You can do it yourself, or you can trust your employees. We have one comment regarding this.

On the one hand, modern coffee machines have the ability to collect all the statistics on money, which makes theft problematic. No, of course they can steal (if they get the money themselves), but it will be difficult to go unpunished. On the other hand, you always need to leave coins in the machines for change, which makes petty theft possible, which cannot be immediately detected. Therefore, a complete inventory is carried out once a month.

Business plan for making money on coffee machines

Vending business with coffee machines does not require complex and basic research, however certain planning necessary. At a minimum, you need to determine a list of promising places, study competitors, find suppliers of ingredients, and determine optimal prices.

Monthly expenses

Monthly expenses include:

  • rent;
  • consumables and ingredients;
  • staff salaries.

This is something that money will have to be spent on. Additional costs may also arise, for example related to repairs, but they cannot be planned.

Also, at the expense planning stage in your business plan for coffee vending, you need to determine the cost of each item in the machine. This is very easy to do if you know the consumption and prices of ingredients.

Profit per month on coffee machines

It is impossible to predict monthly profit, but at a minimum, you can calculate the break-even point for each machine separately and for the entire business as a whole. Let’s say the cost of one item is on average 5 rubles, and average price– 30 rubles. You have five coffee machines, monthly expenses:

  • salary for one employee: 20 thousand rubles;
  • rent: 15 thousand rubles.

Now we divide 35,000 (20,000+15,000) by 25 (30 rubles – 5 rubles) and get 1,400. Thus, 1,400 sales is the break-even point, and everything above is profit. By simple calculations, you can find out that each coffee machine should have 9.3 sales daily.

Payback of a coffee machine

Here the calculations are exactly the same, but you need to add the cost of the equipment, after which you will get the necessary numbers. In general, the payback in this business is usually about a year, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, but you need to focus on 12 months. Let's look at our example.

Your devices cost 600 thousand rubles. For them to break even in one year, you need to sell 24,000 more glasses of coffee or tea. And this is another 13.1 glasses per day for each machine. Thus, we get 13.1 + 9.3 = 22.4 glasses that need to be sold daily, which will allow us to return our initial investment within 12 months and start making a profit.

Business development for installing coffee machines

The good thing about business is that it is easy to scale. Do you have some free funds and have you found another promising place? You can buy a machine in one day, install it and it will start making a profit. In this sense, it is difficult to find another business like this.

However, the market still has a certain capacity. The difficulty is that it is difficult to determine the potential number of consumers. It's not even possible. In one city with a population of 100 thousand people, 50 coffee machines may operate successfully, while in another, with the same population, 25 may not be profitable. This happens even within the same city (in one area everything is good, in another everything is bad, while the flow of people is approximately the same).

If you see that some coffee machines are not profitable, then you should start looking for other places for them. In such cases there is no need to wait; the situation in practice never changes. Or you can try to reduce prices. Business development in coffee machines means constantly searching for new locations, optimizing prices or expanding the range.

How many machines do you need?

And here it is very difficult to give specific recommendations. Simply because no market research has been conducted in Russia, so there is no data for analysis. You should start from the ratio of the number of promising places for installing coffee machines and financial opportunities. If you have money, you can try to capture all suitable places before competitors appear.

It all depends on what monthly income you plan to achieve. If it is more than 100 thousand rubles, then even in a very good place it is impossible to get that amount from one machine. From two it is still possible, but only if the places are really very good.

IN different regions In Russia the situation is different, but it is believed that a profit of 25 thousand per month from one machine is already very good result. You can focus on this figure, but we repeat, it is impossible to predict the profitability of a particular place in practice. This can only be determined experimentally.
