Warranty period for parquet floors. How long will a parquet board last? Advantages of parquet boards

Regardless of the area of the apartment, you can fill it with various things very quickly. In order not to create inconvenience to yourself, you need to properly organize storage. In small-sized housing, this problem is even more urgent. Experts are ready to suggest how to solve it.

Features of the organization of space

Harmonization means abandoning a large cabinet, especially an open shelf or hanger, since they lead to chaos. Much more appropriate are built-in solutions that match the color of the finish, or tall cabinets of moderate length and width, equipped with mirrored facades.

It is very important to take care of the maximum illumination of your home, dividing it into zones using translucent plastic or glass barriers. But the zoning of studios is more correct to make using sliding doors, since it is much more practical.

Optimization of the use of small spaces is achieved through transforming furniture of various types. Multifunctional items should be preferred over ordinary items. If there seems to be no more space left to use, just take a closer look.

Be sure to create a separate workspace, and ideally, allocate an office. Merging kitchens and living rooms is acceptable, but other rooms should not be connected.

The vertical distribution of the stored items is much more economical than the horizontal one. Select a piece of furniture that will act as an organizer of the surrounding space, and arrange everything else so that it is completely accessible and clearly visible.

It is advisable to use styles such as minimalism and hi-tech, which are different:

  • maximum release of space;
  • the predominance of functional and compact items;
  • the ability to use even visually incongruous elements.

The apartment must have several details that add coziness, since functionality alone is clearly not enough here.

Creative ideas

An original move is the use of furniture with a glossy or mirrored facade, as well as products based on plastic and transparent glass. Such objects visually take up very little space and remain almost invisible. Areas under the stairs allow you to create storage systems or work corners. The space under the bed, if occupied with large pull-out drawers, can hold more things than you might think!

In a small apartment, it makes sense to store children's toys under specially equipped floors. This will avoid chaos and help keep children interested in an unusual approach. The design is simple - a platform or cellar is built, the depth of which should be 35-40 cm, and a lifting cover is made to facilitate access. Creative space savings are also achieved through the use of pieces of furniture that combine the properties of a bed, a wardrobe and a bookcase.

The plywood cube can be placed around the window by placing a comfortable bed inside. A built-in wardrobe is placed to the right, the drawers of which are made pull-out. To the left and above are the parts of the bookcase in the shape of the letter "L". To the bottom of the bed, there are several more boxes that allow you to store bed linen.

When making such a structure with your own hands, it is worth considering the placement of audio systems and projectors.

To clear the rooms of everything superfluous, without throwing away a lot of things, the storage places disguised in the walls will help. The choice of their appearance is almost unlimited. Some designers resort to such original solutions as imitation of mollusk shells or bird nests.

To expand the space, painting the insides of the niches in bright colors, contrasting with the main colors of the walls, helps.

If the house has a large library, it can be placed in the very middle of the apartment and supplemented with a staircase, along which it will be possible to enter the office. As a rule, it is not delimited from other rooms, but is placed on an open balcony, which allows you to view the first floor. The library is made in two tiers, its shelves and stairs should be made of wood of neutral shades.

Expanding the available space will work creatively even with less significant alterations.

In the kitchen you can use:

  • a reclining ironing board, which is usually found in the closet;
  • lifting shelf;
  • slide-out section for pots, pans and lids.

There is room for foil and parchment in the magazine stand, and bread and most vegetables will fit in the headset's roll-out drawers. Do not give up using the inside of the cabinet doors - it is easy to install hooks there that will hold measuring spoons or pot lids. An additional cabinet with drawers for spices allows you to separate them from other products and still have them at hand.

When there is not enough space in the bathroom, you need to increase the use of the available part of it by using curtains with pockets and attaching a magnetic tape to the wall that can hold small metal objects. Wall recessed cabinetry, drawers with roll-out basket holders are two more examples of creative use of space. The free space under the bathroom, fenced off with a special screen, can easily accommodate household chemicals and rarely used things. The main locker can only be filled with cosmetics.

According to experts, small apartments will only benefit from partial demolition of walls and installation of sliding doors. The podium will help to abandon the classic wardrobe and hide the sleeping place (if there is no need for it). The original version is a lightweight table, which, when assembled, is hung on the wall and acts as a mirror.

The ergonomics of any room will be improved by using small baskets for storing various items. It is advisable to add bright accents to make the room more beautiful. It is more correct to replace traditional flower pots with a phytowall, since it is also easier to care for it. A properly selected corner rack or shelf can look very good.

A tiny house has two significant advantages: it is environmentally friendly and economical.

Small spaces are easier to make for yourself, and if you also have a mobile home, you can move it to any place where you want to live.
But the tiny house has a number of challenges as well, and one of these is finding space for all of your belongings, and most importantly, creating extra space! After all, you don't want an eternal mess in your home.

Instead, you want more open space to move around normally and breathe deeply.

There are several solutions. And they all rest on the design of a particular tiny house. Large open windows, glazed doors, sliding walls allow integrating the interior of the house with the environment.

The vertical design creates spacious interiors that are still suitable for small parties. And, of course, the whole art of creating so-called smart spaces.
And that's what I want to talk about today: elegant and unexpected storage solutions that serve a dual purpose and maintain open spaces and airiness, even in the smallest homes.

Let's take a look at 40 ingenious ideas perfect for your tiny home or other small space like a small studio apartment or compact motorhome.

1. Find smart solutions for natural lighting.

For specialty furniture, look at this photo, this structure of storage cubes and drawers is built around a window.

This is ingenious, as most builders would close this window completely or look for blank walls to assemble cubes. But there is no reason for this, the window still performs two functions: it lets in light and forms a useful shelf as additional storage space.

2. This A-frame integrates structural reinforcement with storage.

Take a look at this tiny A-shaped house. This is a shot of the kitchen. Here you can see the beams supporting the structure, which also act as shelves.

3. Open top shelves create a sense of more space.

This kitchen includes a great storage concept for a tiny home - real cabinets - but no walls. They are just open cubes. The idea works on several levels. First of all, you see through the shelves. They don't intrude on your sense of open space like conventional lockers. And secondly, you immediately take what you need without worrying about the doors.

4. Use both sides of the shelf.

When you look at a shelf, you wonder what to put on it. Have you ever wondered what you can put under a shelf? It's easy to think of a board as a closed surface, but in reality, each board has two surfaces - an upper and a lower one. Here's a great way to maximize your kitchen storage space.

5. Storage space under the bench adds space and convenience.

This tiny room is inside a house called Cedar Mountain Tiny House, built by New Frontier Tiny Homes (best known as Alpha Tiny House). Note that at first glance this is an ordinary bench, but if you pull the lid up, you will find additional storage space under it.

6. The optimal solution is modular furniture.

This is a smart storage solution from Pin-Ups Houses. Take a look at these little modules. You can move them around the room as needed and make a bed, or a sofa, or a bench out of them. Alternatively, you can remove the pillows and stack them along the wall. Each such module is hollow inside, so you can easily fill it with your things. As your needs change, your repositories will adapt to them. Very cool!

7. Move this cabinet inside or outside the house.

Another "smart" idea. Check out this table in Vina’s tiny house. Tina House. See, this house has a ton of storage space, but I want to draw your attention to this cabinet to the right of the chair. It has wheels on the bottom. This is a mobile locker. If you don't need it, you can roll it back to wherever you want. This is what I call the ingenious "tiny" repository.

8. Cabinets in the bathroom next to the shower create more storage space.

In a tiny house, it is difficult to find a place for a full bathroom equipped with a working shower, and finding a place for a bath is even more difficult. But surprisingly, the house in the photo also has a full bathtub and even shelves for storage. This is how tiny home lovers create extra spaces.

9. Understairs storage boxes are tiny home classics.

This is the most famous storage idea for tiny homes. Indeed, if you start reading blogs about tiny houses, you will see them in almost every home. But this does not mean that one should not talk about them. It's a brilliant idea that saves a ton of space, and architects should take note of.

10. Toilet built into the bench.

This is a great idea, firstly, because the design of the bench makes the toilet more attractive (it fits better with the decor of the bathroom). And secondly, it gives you some space on both sides where you can store your belongings.

11. Remember the shelves under the ceiling and rollaway beds.

One great storage idea for tiny homes that works well in any small space is under-ceiling shelving.

When you just glance at this photo, you do not even notice the bookshelf, it remains on the sidelines. But when you step on the bench, you can still get to the books. Also pay attention to the folding bed. In the daytime, it can be raised against the wall. Although beds like this have been around for centuries, people forget about them.

12. Replace walls with cabinets.

If you are building a tiny house, then there is no reason to leave blank spaces on the wall.

You see, in this house, almost the entire wall is made up of cabinets of different sizes. This creates ample storage space and leaves the floor clean and open. If you already have a home, add even more cabinets for more storage space.

13. Make pull-out drawers under the couch.

How I love those drawers under the couches! They offer additional storage and you don't need to install a lot of shelving.

14. You can hang items in the kitchen.

Check out these pots and pans hanging from the ceiling, not to mention all the mugs that hang under the shelf in the background. These are items that do not need to find space in the closet or on the shelves. Also notice the smart wine storage on the left. Very cool!

15. Use baskets and crates.

Sometimes you have shelves without drawers at your disposal. In some cases, you can apply them as they are, but in other situations it makes sense to purchase multiple boxes or baskets. What for? You can stuff them with things without messing up. And outwardly everything will look neat.

16. Here's another way to make storage under the couch.

I have already talked about several good storage under the sofa / couch. And here's another way you can use it. I like this idea for several reasons. First of all, cubes create more separate storage compartments so you can better organize your belongings. Secondly, I like that the sofa rises above the floor. There is no reason not to take advantage of this idea, and it gives you more storage space.

This idea is somewhat similar to the one I presented in point 16. There is extra space under the bed. It is similar to sleeping accommodations usually found in student dormitories or small hostels. There is a lot of space under the bed, which is entirely at your disposal.

18. These drawers hide a ton of storage space.

This is a system with drawers from under the bed. They are long, for the entire length of the bed, easy and quick to move out. This gives you access to the entire space under the bed.

19. Storage room in the stairs.

I've already talked about storage space in the stairs, but this often leads to missed opportunities. Instead of just creating shelves under the stairs, why not leave a lot more space that can function as small cabinets.

20. Here's another great example of modular cubes.

I want to show you another example of modular cubes. Check out some of the configurations you can make using cubes - each with storage inside.

21. Install a special rail and hang dishes and utensils.

When you set up kitchen cabinets, it's easy to forget that there are other options for storing cookware and utensils. One simple idea for versatile and unobtrusive storage is this: simply install a kitchen railing on one of your walls. You can hang whatever you want on it. He himself almost does not take up space. Therefore, when not in use, you are unlikely to notice it.

22. Use modules to increase the guest bed.

Yes, modules again! But this is such a great example! These modules can be moved to create the perfect guest bed.

23. Hide more items under the floorboards.

Many storage facilities in tiny homes need to be thought out during the planning process and may not be suitable for finished homes or apartments. But if you're just planning on building, consider additional storage space under the floorboards.

24. Add a shelf under the sink.

There are no items on the shelves in this photo, but placing them under the sink is very creative. You can of course fit drawers as well, but those long open shelves seem to create more extra space.

25. Just raise this bed for extra space.

Don't you have a high bed? You don't have to go to the store and buy it. You can redo the one you already have. Here is an example of a bed raised on concrete blocks. These blocks are stable enough to hold the bed, and they are hollow inside, and you can put some things in there.

26. Use this original slide-out cabinet in your bathroom.

Would you like to have an extra closet in your bathroom? In the photo, this “smart” storage space is located where we usually have unoccupied space.

27. Hide the toilet plunger in the wall.

In my toilet, everything is usually piled up in one pile: plunger, toilet brush and cleaning agent. I always thought it would be great to find a way to organize these items. But in my little toilet I thought it was impossible to do this until I saw this photo. See all these important items are just hidden away in a cabinet mounted in the wall. Unfortunately, they are not sold in Russia.

28. Note this one-and-a-half storey at the Shenandoah Tiny House.

I've shown you some examples of under-floor storage, but this is one of the best extras I've seen. Check out the videos I've posted below.

Starting at 1.57, you will see amazing underground storage located on the one and a half floor (sleeping loft). These storage compartments are huge and can replace cabinets entirely. This gives you a lot of free space, and takes away the claustrophobia that can happen if you furnish the entire sleeping area with large boxes.

Parquet board coating, which is a multi-layer structure (three, rarely five layers) of wood. Flexibility, durability, durability, environmental friendliness - all this is just a small part of the advantages. But the parquet board also has disadvantages, and it is better to know them in advance.

Not resistant to changes in humidity / temperature

The main disadvantage is the impossibility of installation in rooms characterized by frequent changes in temperature and humidity. It is also noteworthy that both excessive humidity and excessive dryness of the air are destructive.

Under the influence of moisture, the floor material can swell, which will negatively affect not only the appearance, but also the operational properties. Therefore, wet cleaning is allowed with a well wrung out cloth or a washing vacuum cleaner.

A somewhat opposite situation can arise when the air is dry. The panels will dry out unnaturally and crack.

This disadvantage follows from the previous one. A gap or expansion joint is a free space a few centimeters wide left between the laid sheet of flooring material and the wall.

It is necessary for the natural expansion or contraction of the lamellae under the influence of temperature and humidity changes.

Like solid or block parquet, the board tends to wear out. That is, it will not be possible to edit the material and, so to speak, “forget” about caring for it. Often, high-quality scraping is impossible due to improper placement of the lamellas.

To get a free consultation, just send photos of your flooring via the contact form or to my email. If the case is especially difficult, I will go to the place of work, inspect the floor myself, and consult.

Thorough work and a qualified approach to each client are guaranteed. Payment is made only after full approval of the work by the customer.

We are experienced parquet flooring craftsmen with many years of experience and high qualifications. We carry out scraping of parquet inexpensively and efficiently throughout Moscow and the Moscow region. If necessary, we can travel to nearby areas. I provide a 100% quality guarantee for all services.

Parquet looping in Moscow how we do it

We use Hummel, Trio and Flip machines to cycle parquet inexpensively and efficiently in Moscow without dirt. Some technicians use Co-206 and the dust is a pillar of dust, so for the safety of my clients, I do not use them. It is with the help of my machines that the quality of the flooring becomes phenomenal, it turns out to be completely perfect in appearance. With our equipment, we can perform plastering of parquet inexpensively and in just one day, even in rooms with furniture.

After sanding, we always sand between varnishes before applying a final layer of varnish, so that the floors are uniform and filled with canvas. We varnish floors with materials made in Germany and Sweden. Some companies use varnishes from Russian manufacturers, but I strive for the best result. Only high-quality chemicals can make the parquet in a beautiful natural shade. We use twice as much varnish and gel as ordinary companies, so that the quality of the parquet scraper will please you more and more every day. The coating made by me and my specialists will serve for a very long time - more than 15 years.

Those. boards made entirely of solid wood.
The parquet board was developed for several purposes:

Firstly: compliance with environmental requirements for interior finishing materials (therefore, the parquet board consists entirely of natural wood);

Secondly: prepare a completely finished product for installation for sale. The parquet board does not require any additional processing before and after installation. The parquet board is already on sale sanded and finished with a coating (oil, varnish).

Thirdly: to simplify and reduce the cost of laying a parquet board much. As for the simplification of the installation, I think it's understandable, because This is a ready-made product and, unlike parquet, does not require sanding and topcoating after installation, i.e. after laying the parquet board - the floor is already ready for use, and regarding to reduce the cost, this aspect is ambiguous and we will consider it below.

In any case, parquet board today has won itself a fairly large niche in the flooring market and is justifiably popular with consumers as a flooring made of natural wood, as an option in most cases is much more economical than the option of block parquet or solid board and as a floor a coating that, due to its design features, is less susceptible to operating conditions, meaning, first of all, the balance of temperature and humidity in the room.

Let's digress a little from the merits and demerits solid parquet boards and consider in more detail what the construction of a parquet board is, and what it is.

In fig. 1 shows a parquet board and its structure. As we can see, a parquet board consists of three layers: the top layer is some kind of hard wood that is used in parquetry, already coated with varnish or oil.

The total thickness of the parquet board is usually 10, 14, 15, 20mm. The thickness of the wood of the upper layer (the so-called working layer) is insignificant and, as a rule, is 3-4 mm. The valuable species of wood that is used to make the top (working) layer can be completely different, from traditional ones: oak, ash, maple and to exotic ones.

In addition to this, the top layer of wood may not be just sanded and finished, but pre-treated, in the same way as it is processed, for example, solid board... Those. it can be a brush of various processing depths, and the use of various wood aging techniques: bugs, wormholes, embroidered knots, processing with various tints, patina, etc. Therefore, the collections and the possibility of choosing a parquet board, given the considerable number of its manufacturers and the constant renewal of collections, are simply enormous.

The middle layer is softwood, laminated glued wood can be used. The fibers of the middle layer are located perpendicular to the top and bottom layers. That is why: perpendicularity and adhesion and additional stabilizing properties of the parquet board are provided in comparison with parquet and solid board.

The bottom layer is plywood, sometimes softwood.

Thus, on the one hand, a parquet board is a product made of natural wood, and on the other hand, it is an artificial structure consisting of different types of wood and plywood glued together.

The difference between products such as parquet and solid board or block parquet, which, unlike parquet boards, are elements of the floor covering, entirely consisting of one kind of wood and therefore there are no glue structures.

In fig. 2, 3 and 4 show the parquet board, respectively: single-lane, two-lane and three-lane.

The least expensive by this parameter will be a three-strip parquet board, and the most expensive one-strip parquet board. Why?

But in this case, due to the fact that the parquet board will not be rigidly fixed to the base of the floor, small deflections of the parquet board will be inevitable. It is these deflections that will not make it possible to polish the parquet board in the future. Since grinding, in this case, will not be done evenly over the entire surface, but in pieces, i.e. here it is sanded, but here the parquet board is bent and, accordingly, is not captured by the grinder. This means that with this method of laying, the parquet board turns out to be practically unrepairable. Therefore, if the appearance of the floor covering from a parquet board, laid in this way, deteriorates during operation, the consumer will not be able to influence the situation and restore the parquet board.

Further. If restoration or repair after some time of operation, whole canvases of a parquet board (one or several boards) will be subject to, then this can also become a problem, because manufacturers are constantly updating their collections and after a while it is quite difficult to find the same parquet board to replace. In this case, the consumer, probably after laying the parquet board, needs to keep some supply of the parquet board, for possible replacement in the future, if necessary.

The second option for laying parquet boards... Laying a parquet board is similar to laying a solid parquet board or block parquet. Those. compliance with all the requirements for the floor screed (in the case of laying on a screed, not on logs), laying plywood, purchasing all related materials for laying and the services of professional stackers. In this case, the parquet board lies rigidly on the base - it is maintainable and can be sanded. But the price of the issue of such laying increases - it corresponds to the cost of laying a solid board or block parquet. And this is also a minus, i.e. we bought an economy product - a parquet board, and we are laying it as a floor covering, which is of a higher class: solid board or block parquet.

Let's try to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of a parquet board.

Advantages of a parquet board:

  • Made from natural wood;
  • Completely ready for installation and after installation we get a finished floor covering (does not require additional sanding and finishing);
  • Generally the most economical natural wood flooring option;
  • Possibility of more economical laying in comparison, for example, with solid board or block parquet, which does not require in this case the cost of additional accompanying materials and services of professional installers;
  • Possibility, if necessary, for example, when moving (with this method of laying), to disassemble the floor and use, re-lay the parquet board in another room;
  • Possibility of a not very costly method (in comparison with a solid board or block parquet), after a while, replace the entire floor (the entire laid parquet board, for example, with a parquet board of another collection);

Disadvantages of a parquet board:

  • Despite the fact that it is a product made of natural wood, it is a constructive floor covering made of different prefabricated types of wood glued together, in contrast to solid boards and block parquet;
  • Limited service life of 10-15 years (when the laying is similar to laying a solid board) and less when laying in a floating way (by the way, a massive board or block parquet has an average service life of about 100 years or more);
  • Unrepairable parquet boards when laying in a floating way (impossibility of grinding);
  • Difficulties in finding a similar parquet board after a while, if it is necessary to replace one or several boards, the need to additionally purchase with a surplus and store it somewhere at appropriate temperature and humidity indicators (in comparison with a solid board or piece parquet - additionally purchase and store nothing is needed. Professionals will make the necessary restoration locally);
  • Tactile sensations, for example, from touching bare feet, according to consumers, from a parquet board and a solid board or block parquet are completely different. According to consumers, a solid board or block parquet is the warmth of a living tree, and the sensations from a parquet board are completely different - "colder";
  • If we calculate the financial costs of purchasing a parquet board of the middle price category, the cost of its installation and the period of its reasonable operation, then we come to an unexpected conclusion: namely, the cost of a parquet board (acquisition, installation) per unit of time of its reasonable operation will be more than similar costs per unit of time for a solid board or block parquet;

As you can see, the parquet board has a number of advantages and disadvantages in comparison with other types of natural wood flooring.

Intex Parquet specialists are always ready to advise you on the purchase of one or another type of floor covering, select the best options for you and submit it to you for consideration and approval.

But the final decision, of course, is always yours.
