Regardless of which country the client is a citizen of, the basic and convenient services of Sberbank Online, Mobile Bank and others will be available to him.

The bank has the right to refuse its client to receive a particular plastic card. Therefore, before starting the registration, you should carefully read all the requirements of Sberbank. All important information is located on the bank's website in the "Select a card" section.

There are several reasons for refusal:

  1. Violation of the conditions presented to the cardholder. It is important to understand here for which category of citizens the release is being implemented.
  2. Incorrect information about the potential recipient.
  3. The client has a huge number of cards. The bank will start looking at the history of other cards.

Video

The video from the Sberbank channel details the system for ordering a credit card.

Bank card is a type of payment card issued by a credit institution - issuer and intended for its holder to perform transactions, settlements on which are carried out in accordance with an agreement concluded with a credit institution - issuer. A credit institution has the right to issue bank cards of the following types: payment cards, credit cards and prepaid cards.

The procedure for the issuance and use of bank cards in the Russian Federation regulates "On the issue of bank cards and on transactions performed using payment cards".

In order to make payments by means of a bank payment card, a card account must be opened for the client. It is opened on the basis of an agreement concluded with the client on the receipt and use of a bank card.

To conclude an agreement, the client submits to the bank:

· An application for the issue of a bank card in the form established by the bank;

· Identity document;

· Certificate of registration with the tax authority (if any);

· A migration card confirming the right of a foreign citizen or stateless person to stay in the Russian Federation (for non-residents).

The bank considers the application for the issue of a payment card and, if a positive decision is made, issues a payment card, a PIN envelope in the name of the client and opens a card account for the client in the currency specified in the application. For this purpose, a bank employee enters the data of the application for issuing a bank card into the bank's software complex, the processing department, based on the client's application, generates an appropriate electronic file and sends it to the card account management department. An employee of this department on the day of receiving the electronic file opens a card account.

A bank card and a PIN envelope are handed over to the client - an individual in whose name the payment card was issued.

When the owner considers it necessary to make settlements using a bank card, he transfers it to read the data in a POS terminal or inserts it into an ATM and enters a secret PIN-code.

If the debit card balance is positive or there is no increase in the limit on the credit line, the ATM or POS deducts the transaction amount and transmits the data to the processing center of the banking institution.

The processing center processes the received data and generates the final results for the relevant transactions.

The bank debits funds from the account of the cardholder, taking into account the commission.

The significant spread of plastic cards and their transformation into a popular instrument for making payments is a clear evidence of the benefits and high convenience of this method of payment. The priority area for most financial and credit institutions is the development of lending, one of the ways of which is to increase the number of credit lines of a high degree of reliability and, as a consequence, increase the number of bank card holders.

A payment card is intended for performing transactions by its holder within the limits of the amount of funds (spending limit) established by the issuing bank, settlements on which are carried out at the expense of the client's funds in his bank account, or a loan provided by the issuing bank in accordance with the bank agreement. accounts in case of insufficient or lack of funds in the bank account (overdraft).

Overdraft is a short-term, permanently revolving loan that can be used by enterprises or entrepreneurs who periodically have temporary, short-term needs for additional funds to make payments. Such a loan is automatically repaid by the Bank from the balance of the Client's funds on his account on the morning of each day. So, for example, on the first day the client was issued an overdraft, during the next day money was credited to the account, and already on the morning of the third day the loan was repaid from the accumulated funds.

This type of lending has its own characteristics, which are as follows:

· The borrower is obliged to fully repay the existing overdraft debt at least once a calendar month by crediting funds to his current account. At the same time, on the day of repayment, crediting of the borrower's account is not carried out.

· Daily automatic loan repayment for the amount of the credit balance of the borrower's current account, which is formed at the end of each business day (after all settlements on the current account). There are no delays in payment of regular payments during the day.

· Interest is accrued on the actual debt on the loan, which, with the regular receipt of money, significantly reduces the debt by the end of the day and saves your interest expenses.

The requirements of different banks for clients when considering the possibility of providing an overdraft may differ. But the approximate overdraft conditions in all banks are almost not identical and consist of the following requirements:

1. The client must have at least one year of experience in the main activity,

2. Must use the services of the Bank for settlement and cash services within the last 6 months, and have non-zero turnovers on the current account (except for the advance overdraft),

3. The minimum number of receipts of funds to the current account in the Bank must be - at least 3 times a week

4. Have no unpaid claims and / or orders to your current account

To obtain an overdraft, legal entities must submit to the Bank a standard package of documents for consideration of a loan application for lending, and also:

Certificates from banks, where the client has opened current accounts, about credit turnovers over the past few months (at least 6-12 months)

· Certificates from banks, where the client has current accounts, about the presence / absence of debts on loans and card index No. 2.
To obtain a technical overdraft, legal entities must submit:

An application for the provision of a technical overdraft, with a detailed description of the operation performed by the client, as a result of which they are expected to receive funds to the current account (indicating the date of receipt),

· A copy of the agreement, payment orders, other documents that reliably testify (according to the bank's assessment) of the operation specified in the application.
The overdraft limit for each legal entity is calculated individually according to the overdraft calculation method. Each type of overdraft has its own method of calculating the overdraft limit.

A credit card is intended for the performance of transactions by its holder, settlements for which are carried out at the expense of funds provided by the issuing bank to the client within the established limit in accordance with the terms of the loan agreement.

A prepaid card is intended for carrying out transactions by its holder, settlements for which are carried out by the issuing bank.

Prepaid cards are issued only for individuals. When a client, an individual, performs transactions using a prepaid card, a bank account agreement with an individual is not concluded.

Payment cards can be classified according to various criteria:

1.According to the material from which they are made:

A) paper (cardboard);

B) plastic;

B) metal.

Currently, plastic cards are almost ubiquitous. Unlike cards made of other materials, plastic is easy to process and pressure (embossed), which is very important for personalizing the card before issuing it to the holder.

2.By the settlement mechanism:

A) cards participating in bilateral settlement systems, which arose on the basis of bilateral agreements between settlement participants. In this case, cardholders can use them to purchase goods in closed networks controlled by the card issuer (department stores, gas stations, etc.);

B) cards participating in multilateral payment systems provide owners with the opportunity to buy goods from various merchants and service services that recognize these cards as a means of payment. Multilateral systems are led by national bank card associations such as American Express, Visa, Master Card, Diners Club, Euro pay International. In Russia, the leading interbank card payment systems STB Card, Union Card.

3.By affiliation with the issuing institution:

A) bank cards issued by a bank or a community of banks: bank card is a document made of plastic in accordance with international quality and size standards (86.5 x 53.9 x 0.76 mm). With its help, you can pay for purchases in the trade and service network, as well as withdraw cash from a bank account;

B) commercial cards issued by non-financial institutions: commercial firms or a group of commercial firms. In particular, tourism and entertainment cards are issued by companies specializing in serving this area, for example, American Express. Cards are accepted by hundreds of thousands of trade and service companies all over the world to pay for goods and services, and also provide their holders with various benefits for booking air tickets, hotel rooms, life insurance, as well as discounts on the price of goods, etc. Unlike private commercial cards, the use of which is limited to predetermined limits, bank cards are a universal means of payment, whose scope of use does not have certain limits.

4.By belonging to the owners, bank cards are distinguished:

A) individual - for individual bank customers - individuals. They can be calculated, credit and prepaid;

B) corporate - issued to legal entities. They can be calculated and credit. The holder of such a card is an authorized legal entity (manager or other employee).

Operations with corporate cards are limited by the legislation in force in the Russian Federation. They can be used to pay for business expenses of enterprises, travel and entertainment expenses in Russia and abroad. At the same time, it is prohibited to use corporate cards for the payment of wages and other payments of a social nature.

In Russia, the prevailing issue of individual cards for holders - individuals. As of January 1, 2015 individual cards accounted for 99.7% of the total number of Russian bank cards and 95.5% of the total volume of transactions using bank cards.

5.In terms of information processing and transmission technology, bank cards are:

A) with a magnetic stripe;

B) with an embedded microcircuit (microprocessor or chip)

Magnetic stripe cards are designed for recording and storing information; these cards have three magnetic stripes, one of which is intended for rewriting data during each authorization, and the other two are used to identify the cardholder. The information on the magnetic stripe matches the records on the front of the card: name, account number of the holder, expiration date. For payments by magnetic cards, the on-line mode is used.

In this case, the authorization for payment is given by the computer of the bank or the processing center when communicating with the outlet in order to confirm the creditworthiness of the cardholder.

Magnetic cards have significant disadvantages:

· Poor performance (information on a magnetic medium can be easily destroyed);

· There is no possibility of reliable updating of information, which does not allow storing information on the state of the client's account on the card;

· The need to service the card in on-line mode. This means that for each transaction it is necessary to contact the authorization center via a modem connection, which is expensive and not reliable enough;

· Weak protection against fraud (these cards are easy to steal, counterfeit by copying information from a magnetic strip, as well as by producing fake cards).

Chip cards are cards containing information on an integrated microcircuit (microchip), which is recorded in advance. Chip cards are of various types:

1. memory cards, the microcircuit of which contains only a memory device. The memory capacity and level of protection of these cards are not very high, so they are used in application systems that do not require a significant level of information protection, for example, to pay for telephone calls. Memory cards are the simplest electronic cards;

2. smart cards, in an integrated circuit, which include a microprocessor, which makes them "smart". The name "smart card" (smart - intelligent, intelligent) is associated with its ability to perform very complex information processing operations.

Smart card microcircuits, in fact, are a microcomputer capable of performing calculations like a personal computer, storing in memory information about the state of a card account, about previous settlement operations. When making payments by smart cards, a fundamentally new off-line mode is used - the permission for payment is given by the card itself (more precisely, the microcircuit built into it) when communicating with the trading terminal directly at the point of sale. The overhead costs of securing payments are extremely small, and communication problems do not play the same role as in on-line technologies.

The advantages of smart cards also lie in their reliability and safety. Copying data, other than by their manufacturers, is impossible due to the internal code written on each card (pin-code), known only to the cardholder. Until this code is presented to the card, the latter cannot be used. In the event of an unauthorized attempt to use the smart card, it can independently temporarily or permanently stop its work. To restore the card's functionality, it must be returned to the place of issue (to the bank).

The advantage of smart cards over other payment cards is their versatility. Having built-in capabilities to carry out many mathematical and logical operations, and surpassing other types of cards in terms of the amount of information stored on them, the same smart cards can be used in various types of automatic devices: vending machines for cigarettes, soft drinks, telephone machines, vending machines for car parks and car washes, etc.

Sberbank of Russia Mosoblbank credit card bank card

Whatever international payment system you belong to payment cards, and no matter how attractive design banks use when issuing them, the principles of the cards are subject to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the banking legislation of the Russian Federation and are set forth in the Regulations of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

The basic principles of the functioning of payment cards are set out in the Regulation of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation "On the issue of bank cards and on transactions performed using payment cards" (approved by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on 24.12.2004 N 266-P) (as amended on 23.09.2008).

In accordance with this Regulation of the Central Bank, each Credit Organization can issue bank cards of the following types:

  1. Payment (debit) card- intended for performing transactions within the established amount of funds (spending limit). Payments on such a card are carried out at the expense of the client's funds in his bank account, or at the expense of a loan provided to the client in accordance with the bank account agreement in case of insufficient or temporary absence of funds on the bank account (overdraft).

  2. Credit card- is intended for performing transactions, settlements for which are carried out at the expense of funds provided by the credit institution - the issuer to the client within the established limit in accordance with the terms of the loan agreement.

  3. Prepaid card- is intended for its holder to carry out transactions, settlements for which are carried out by the credit institution - the issuer on its own behalf, and certifies the right of the holder of the prepaid card to the credit institution - the issuer to pay for goods (work, services, results of intellectual activity) or to issue cash.

Bank payment card is a universal payment instrument with which individuals (cardholders) can carry out the following operations:

  • receive cash in the currency of the Russian Federation or foreign currency on the territory of the Russian Federation;

  • receive cash in foreign currency outside the territory of the Russian Federation;

  • pay for goods (work, services, results of intellectual activity) in the currency of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as in foreign currency - outside the territory of the Russian Federation;

  • other transactions in the currency of the Russian Federation, in respect of which the legislation of the Russian Federation does not establish a prohibition (restriction) on their performance;

  • other operations in foreign currency in compliance with the requirements of the currency legislation of the Russian Federation.

Bank payment cards (on a physical medium) comply with certain design standards and have a format defined by the ISO 7810 ID-1 standard:

  • width - 85.6 mm,

  • height - 53.98 mm,

  • thickness - 0.76 mm.
More details about the size of a bank card and the material for its production can be found.

Bank card designations and design elements

The layout of the front and back sides of a conventional bank payment card looks like this:

The front side of a bank card may have the following elements and designations:

  1. The name and surname of the cardholder - in Latin transcription.

  2. Card expiration date - month and last two digits of the year

  3. The name and logo of the payment system with which the card is serviced.

  4. Card number - consisting of 16. Card number can have 18 - 19 digits

  5. Chip - additional protection of the card

  6. The abbreviated corporate name of the bank, which uniquely identifies it.

  7. Issuing bank logo identifying the bank.

The reverse side of a bank card may have the following elements and designations:

  1. Bank name - repeated at the bottom of the card

  2. Owner's signature paper strip

  3. CVV2 or CVC2 - authentication code, not found on all categories of cards. On American Express cards, the code is located on the front side (a four-digit number above the card number)

  4. Magnetic stripe (black)

The appearance of bank cards

What kind of card appearance does the bank choose? For example, I will give the types of bank cards of the three most popular banks among the population:

When considering the above samples of plastic cards of the above banks, it can be stated that, despite the presence of various color drawings, images are clearly visible on all cards: the name and logo of the bank, the logo and name of the international payment system (VISA, Maestro, MasterCard), card number, etc. .d.

On the front side of the card, any specific drawing can be applied, and the logo and the name of the bank can be located on top, but in any places determined by the bank's designer (right or left). As a rule, the basic color scheme and pattern for each bank has its own peculiarity peculiar only to this bank.

A bank card can be issued to an individual, regardless of his citizenship (both resident and non-resident). The issuance of bank cards to the client and the performance of operations on the bank account with their use is carried out on the basis of an agreement

Among the services of almost all commercial banks, the issuance of plastic cards of Visa and MasterCard payment systems is mandatory, which allow you to pay for purchases around the world with maximum comfort. However, the belonging of a plastic card to a particular payment system, in contrast to its type (credit, settlement, debit with overdraft, virtual card), practically does not affect the standard procedure for issuing this most convenient payment instrument, which we will consider in this publication.

Bank card issuance - debit or with a credit limit

To obtain a debit plastic card, you must submit an application to the branch of the issuing bank, attaching a copy of your passport and presenting its original. For bank card issuance with a credit limit, in addition to a passport, you will need another identity document - TIN certificate, international passport, etc.

Upon receipt of a bank card with a credit limit, a longer period of preferential lending and the maximum amount of the payment limit are provided to customers who have attached to the application a standard certificate of income 2-NDFL or a similar document signed by the employer in the form of a bank.

The shelf life of plastic cards varies from 1 to 4 years, on average, its duration is 3-4 years.

Receiving a bank card and its activation

After submitting and approving an application for a bank card (the decision to issue a credit card may take up to a week), you will receive the registered "plastic" in your hands within 3-14 days. The consultant manager will warn you in advance about the need to go to the bank to pick up and activate the card. Clients who are interested in urgent credit card processing should pay attention to unnamed cards without confirmation of income, the term of receipt of which is often only 2-3 hours. However, the terms of lending on such cards leave much to be desired.

An alternative way to issue a plastic card is to submit an online application on the bank's website with the subsequent receipt of a credit card either at a branch or in a postal or courier delivery service.

Credit cards are most often activated after the first cash out operation at an ATM, and debit cards, on the contrary, after a certain amount of money has been deposited into the account.

Payment for receiving and servicing the card

The cost of servicing and obtaining a bank card primarily depends on its type (Standard, Gold, etc.) and functionality.

Among debit cards, electronic cards with a magnetic stripe MasterCard Maestro and Visa Electron are most often issued and serviced free of charge. Servicing other types of payment cards that provide their holders with more options is almost always a paid service. At the same time, the cost of issuing Visa Gold and Gold MasterCard cards is always higher than issuing Visa Classic and MasterCard Standard.

Servicing of credit cards is almost always carried out on a paid basis (as an exception, the MTS Money card can be called - the first year of use of which is not paid by the borrower).

For greater clarity, we note that the cost of the annual service for plastic cards such as Visa Classic and MasterCard Standard of Sberbank is 750 rubles - this is 4 times less than the "price of using" its own Gold MasterCard and Visa Gold cards. But the Maestro "Momentum" card is issued and serviced by the Security Council of the Russian Federation free of charge, but at the same time it cannot be used for payments abroad.

The majority of modern Russian citizens who have stepped over the age of majority have plastic cards of credit and financial institutions. To issue banking products, a minimum list of requirements is presented. Those wishing to receive plastic should know what documents are needed to issue a Sberbank card.

The largest financial institution in the country produces products of the Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and MIR payment systems. Sberbank cards are divided into two main types: credit and debit. Products are also divided by status: classic, gold, platinum, premium.

Any potential client can apply for a card remotely and by visiting a Sberbank branch. A citizen must have a permanent or temporary residence permit on the territory of Russia, be over 18 years old (when applying for a Youth - from 14).

The list of required documentation will depend on the type of desired card, status, availability of a Sberbank salary card. If the client already owns the salary plastic of a banking organization, then it is much easier to get credit products.

Minimum list of documentation

To obtain a debit card, it is enough to present a Russian passport with a residence permit on the territory of the state. Then the client writes a statement at the bank branch or sends it through the official website or online service.

To open an account, a potential cardholder will need, depending on his civil status, to provide, in addition to his passport, a certificate of refugee, military serviceman (officers), military ID (those who are serving). Foreign citizens must present their passport, residence permit or visa, migration card.

For those who want to get a credit card, the minimum documentation includes:

  • passport;
  • statement;
  • a third document to choose from: driver's license, SNILS, military ID and the like.

Sberbank salary cardholders are exempted from providing certificates of income and solvency.

Complete list of documentation

Holders of the bank's salary cards have privileges for obtaining credit products in the form of a minimum list of documents (only 2 are required) and a reduced interest rate.

In addition to the two mandatory types of documentation, the applicant will need to present the following types to Sberbank employees, depending on the form of employment:

  • 2-NDFL certificate printed on the letterhead of the employer's organization;
  • certificate of the amount of pension payments, if the client does not receive them on the Sberbank card;
  • statement on the amount of the scholarship for the recipients of the youth card;
  • documentation confirming the employment of the employee (notarized copies of the employment contract, book, state registration of an individual as an individual entrepreneur).

To issue a card with borrowed funds, a certificate in the 2-NDFL form must be requested from the employer indicating income for the last six months. The employee's work experience must be more than one year.

Conclusion

Sberbank prepares plastic products after providing a state passport. If a potential client wants to get credit products, then he will need certificates confirming income, employment, and a second identity document form.
