Rule after defilement. Prayer for the desecration of Saint Basil the Great. The Sin of Abusing the Gifts of God

When it happens to someone who is tempted in a dream by the devil's action, then having risen from the bed, he must bow down to him and read a prayer from the desecration of St. Basil the Great. Moreover, we who now live in cities and urban-type settlements, who are daily desecrated by products and things sacrificed to idols through the barcodes printed on them, need to read this prayer every day.

Prayer for the desecration of St. Basil the Great

For those who want to pray more earnestly from defilement and have a time and a deep sorrowful experience for that, that they have to touch the bad and even eat it out of the hopelessness of life, you can read the Rule from defilement, which includes several prayers by the Church itself that have the order of the order. from initial prayers with the inclusion of bows, prayers to the Mother of God our Zealous Intercessor, to prayers with repentance and petition to cleanse our bodies and souls from defilement.

Those who have spiritual communion with a non-heretical priesthood and monastics, may they ask for their blessing and edifying instruction to read these prayers.

Psalm 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy, and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, cleanse my iniquity. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin; for I know my iniquity, and I will take out my sin before me. Thee, who alone have sinned, and have done evil before thee; as if you were justified in your words, and conquer, always to judge Ti. Behold, in transgressions I am conceived, and in sins bore me my mother. Behold, you loved the truth; You have revealed your unknown and secret wisdom. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. To my hearing dasi joy and gladness; the bones of the humble will rejoice. Turn away Thy face from my sins, and cleanse all my iniquity. Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb. Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Give me the joy of Thy salvation, and with the Spirit of the Lord confirm me. I will teach the wicked in Thy way, and the wicked will turn to Thee. Deliver me from the blood, O God, God of my salvation; my tongue will rejoice in Thy righteousness. O Lord, open my mouth, and my mouth shall declare Thy praise. As if you would have wanted sacrifices, you would have given them: do not favor burnt offerings. The sacrifice to God the spirit is broken; a contrite and humble heart God will not despise. Bless, O Lord, with Thy good pleasure Zion, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then favor the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering; then they will lay calves on your altar.

And the tropari, voice 7:

Good Shepherd, Thy soul laid down on us, knowledgeable hidden, done by me, the One is Better, save me with the mind of a deluded one, and get me out of the wolf, Lamb of God, and have mercy on me.

Weighed down by the sleep of despondency, I am darkened by the delusion of sinfulness: but grant me the morning of repentance, enlightening the eyes of the mind, Christ God, the enlightenment of my soul, and save me.

With the gloom of sinfulness and the sweets of everyday life, we weave the mind of my accursed soul, it gives rise to various passions, and does not come to the thought of tenderness. But save me, Savior, my humility, and give me a thought of affection, and I save before the end, I will call out for Thy goodness: Lord Christ my Savior, save me desperate and unworthy.

Like one who has fallen into robbers, and is wounded, so I have fallen into many sins, and there is a soul wounded. To whom I will resort to the guilty one: only to You, merciful souls Doctor: pour out on me, God, your great mercy.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Like the prodigal son came and I am, Generous: accept me, Father, returning, as one from Thy mercenary, O God, and have mercy on me.

And now and forever and forever and ever. Amen.

Theotokos: Deliver, Mother of God, from the sins that have taken us away: for there is no other hope of faithfulness to the imams, except to You and the Lord who is born from You.

Lord have mercy (40 times).

Then 50 bows to the ground with prayer:

God, be merciful to me, and forgive me the prodigal for Your Holy Name.

Lord Jesus Christ, our God, prayers for the sake of Thy Most Pure Mother and all saints, save me a sinner.

Prayer from defilement to priests(lay people do not need to read it)

.

O Lord our God, Alone Good and Human-loving, Alone Holy and rest on the saints, who appeared to your Supreme Apostle Peter in a vision, nothing nasty, or uncleanly minded, created by You for food and for the enjoyment of man, and in Your chosen vessel, by the Apostle Paul, everything is pure pure commandment: You are the Most Holy Lord Himself, by invoking the terrible and most pure Thy Name, and by the sign of the terrible and Life-giving Cross, bless and cleanse me of Thy servant (name) defiled from every uncontaminated spirit, from every dream and poisonous reptile, from every lawlessness and from every flattery, from every indulgence, and every yazi, and from every evil devilish villainy. And now thy servant unworthy of me (name): Grant me, according to Thy mercy, to serve Thy most pure Mysteries. And first, cleanse my soul and body from all defilement, and forsake every sin, voluntary and involuntary, that have sinned in all the days of my life, in deed, word and thought, in days and nights, and until the present hour. And grant me, Lord, this terrible service of heavenly Offices, and the communion of Thy Most Pure Mysteries, not in judgment, not in condemnation, but in the forgiveness of sins, and in the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the life of the everlasting joy, which you have prepared for your true ministry. Preserve me, O Lord All-Powerful, from all sin and malice, keep immoral and blameless from all leprosy of the opposing devil: and grant me, O Lord, to serve You in reverence and truth until the last day and hour and my end: Thou art blessing and sanctifying all things Christ our God, and we glorify Thee, with Thy Originless Father, and with Thy Most Holy and Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and forever and ever, amen.

The life of every Christian consists not only of pious and pleasant actions: prayer, pilgrimage trips, reading about miracles, etc. But unfortunately, serious difficulties stand in the way of every believer, because the inner spiritual life is associated not only with ups, but also downs.

Turning to God, a Christian is sanctified, that is, he becomes more holy, because he also turns to the Holy Spirit. And, as you know, the Holy Spirit is the third hypostasis of God. When a man has his spirit, as it were, his internal settings, verifies with the Spirit of God, becomes at least a little bit like his Heavenly Father, and He, as you know, is Love and the highest Good. Simply put, with Him it is good when He is near, a person is just good. The believer commits fewer such acts that would sadden them, introduce disharmony into their already more or less established inner harmony.

Saints are saints because their inner world through efforts and resistance to temptations has become similar to the Angelic. About such people in Orthodoxy they say "earthly angels and heavenly men." By the way, Basil the Great himself is glorified in the face of saints, the author of the rule against desecration.

A person begins to feel good when his inner world, as it were, is magnetized to God and begins to receive for himself the highest good for the human soul - the constant presence of God through His Spirit.

But now the man has sinned. Suddenly I decided to do something that is completely at odds with God and His device. Harmony collapses, the inner world of a person is demagnetized and the sinner begins to suffer. Because he allowed disharmony not just in his world, but in his relationship with Heavenly Father. He ceased to be that metal that could attract a magnet to itself, lost its properties, put himself by his act on a par not with Angels, but with animals, allowed himself to be polluted. And now he needs to be cleansed in order to restore interaction with God. After all, His Spirit does not interact with any spiritual filth. That is, it does not enter into communication, does not become at least to some extent general.

But, as all Christians know, there is nothing irreparable. Of course, wallowing in something nasty is not a pleasant pleasure. However, if this nevertheless happened and the filth touched the soul of a person, then the situation can be corrected through certain rules established by the holy fathers. This rule is called from defilement. Its author is Basil the Great, one of the main teachers of the Church. People came to listen to his sermons from the farthest corners of the world.

What is the rule from defilement

The rule from defilement is called a certain sequence of prayers.... It is composed of psalms and requests for restoration to the former dignity. The rule helps to express regret for their sinful nature, recognition of their damaged nature.

The rule from defilement recited by men

Men resort to the rule of desecration if an involuntary ejaculation occurs in a dream or at night. And even more so if it was arbitrary. The expiration in a dream or in reality, which occurred due to a marriage or illness, is not a defilement.

In front of the text of the rules, they usually publish a note that men need to read, in what cases. It is also indicated that it is read with the blessing of a spiritual mentor.

The Anti-Defilement Rule recited by women

There is no special rule for women against defilement. Women, too, can have night dreams and various defilements about sleep and waking, ending in the same way as an act with a man. Yes, carnal desires are far from alien to people., however, they should be satisfied with a husband, in a legal, ideally church marriage. If a woman is alone, not married, then she must fight with her passions, pray and, if the temptation was, then be sure to repent, including during confession. If you do everything right all the time, then soon desires will diminish and it will be much easier to cope with them.

What can provoke a situation in which a rule from desecration is needed

The main provocateurs can be:

From the history of the human body and its sinfulness

A person does not always defile according to his personal choice:

  • it could be some kind of accident,
  • disease,
  • completely natural, regular processes over which a person has no control.

For example, males are not always able to control the eruption of semen at night. However, defilement occurs, even if it is not spiritual, but only bodily, but nevertheless.

You shouldn't be ashamed of it. However, shame nevertheless often touches the human soul. And this is natural. The fact is that our modern bodies are identical in many respects to the bodies of animals.

But this was not always the case, although many people do not know about it simply because they rarely or inattentively read the pages of Holy Scripture (Bible). Before his fall, man had a body of a completely different nature. It was not so dense, it was able to pass through material objects, disappear in one place and instantly materialize in another. Yes, it sounds fantastic. However, it is so.

Let's turn to the pages of Holy Scripture. When Adam and Eve sinned, a conversation took place with God, in which He gave them the opportunity to repent, admit their mistakes and take responsibility for them. But Adam and Eve, who disobeyed their Creator and tasted the fruits of one of the trees of the Garden of Eden, forbidden at that time, refused to repent. They only shifted the blame for what happened to each other, then to God himself. Adam told his creator that the fruit that He ate was given to him by Eve. And then he added that this woman was given to him by Him, God.

That is, it turns out that it is in general that God is supposedly to blame for everything... Adam himself, in his own interpretation, was just a victim. This is why Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden. However, before settling them permanently on Earth, according to the words written in the ancient biblical texts, God “clothed them in leather garments”. This is one of the important passages in the entire book about the history of mankind.

In the era of atheism, when literally everything connected with God, sacred books, spiritual life was altered, people who taught the corresponding educational subjects in educational institutions especially laughed at this place in the Bible. They interpreted it as if He caught several of his creatures - animals - killed them, took off their skin and put it on the first people.

Now it is, of course, funny. And this laugh through tears. The perfect Creator, who created everything around for love and peace, suddenly turns out to be almost the first killer to somehow dress the first people in the skins of other creatures.

Of course, it was completely wrong... Leather vestments mean the densification of the spiritual bodies of the first people to a state that is characteristic of the bodies of animals. Man through these new, incomparably worse bodies, which were sick, which can be damaged, destroyed, which are especially sensitive to both frost and heat and so on, have received the opposite properties instead of infinity, eternity and immortality:

  • passion (predisposition to addiction),
  • temporality,
  • death.

That is why, precisely because of the properties of our imperfect bodies, which we now bear as a heavy burden, indicating to us that without God and his grace, on which He built everything, only such a life is possible. The body is a vessel of sin, it is initially crippled (by ourselves) instrument. That is why we sin so often, and sometimes involuntarily. Therefore, on the one hand, defilement is, in general, since the time of the fall of man a common phenomenon. On the other hand, this is nevertheless not the norm for us, people who are called to live with God in his Kingdom.

Flesh without sin and without flaw

However, for 2000 years, everything is not far away so sad. God the Savior has already come, suffered for us, and in the long term has changed our nature, making it the same as it was before the first sin. Yes, now we continue to be the same. However, the Lord Jesus has already overcome death by His great Resurrection, has already transformed our bodies into His glorious body. Through Baptism into Him, through to His body and blood, which takes place every week in the temple, we touch the mystery of illumination, prepare our soul, our flesh for a glorious transformation on the day of the General Resurrection.

When the Lord was resurrected He appeared before the disciples who were sitting tightly locked in one of the houses. They were afraid that the Jews would find them and kill them. But suddenly Christ appeared between them right in the room. He passed locks, doors and walls. Thus, He voluntarily or involuntarily, not on purpose, but demonstrated the capabilities of the new, or rather, transformed into the state of the first grace of the human body.

When the disciples after His crucifixion traveled from one city to another and were in different places and in different cities, Jesus simultaneously accompanied some, talked with others, and was with others. And all this being in a human, like ours, but a transformed body. The bodies of Adam and Eve had the same properties. All this points to the fact that when the Lord resurrects and transforms our bodies on the day of the general Resurrection, the coming of which every Christian professes in the Symbol of Faith, we will receive the same properties of the flesh.

Is it possible not to be defiled

In the meantime, at a time when our bodies, as a result of the fall of our ancestors and confirmation by our personal sins, are still the bearer of sin, corruption and have the ability to instantly become dependent on everything convenient and pleasant, we need to be cleansed. For this, the rule against desecration is written... It is not difficult to find it: you need to search the Internet and download.

You can protect yourself from defilement. First, you need to discuss this with a confessor or priest. It is undesirable to resort to this arbitrarily.

Would need:

  • frequent or constant prayer,
  • frequent confession,
  • regular Communion.

Why do you need a rule if I can talk to God anyway?

The question usually arises: why do we need a rule at all? Can't you just ask God for something, just express your regret in your own words, why is all this necessary, why did it occur to some other people to interfere in personal relationships between God and a specific person?

The fact is that the Church of Christ embraces in itself literally all of humanity, every person. There are very, very many people who have come to Christ. And not all of them are able to express their feelings in such a way that:

  • on the one hand, to cleanse yourself of filth,
  • on the other hand, do not go into some inner jungle during your prayers.

For example, you can tell God that "I am sorry." But then suddenly the thought comes to mind: "But I'm not so guilty, after all, I am a bearer of sin, this is normal, this is natural ...". After which it will turn out that the person does not repent at all, and that in general he has forgotten where he began. And is it going to be a conversation with God? No. Moreover, such a prayer will sooner be harmful than beneficial.

Rule from defilement, which can be read and listened to in a recording, written by one of the greatest Christians, contains in itself a feeling of repentance on the one hand, on the other hand it keeps a person from unnecessary wanderings, philosophical reflections, into which it is very easy to fall into a person who is not used to to prayer. The rule is the bottom of your prayer ship, which will not let it sink.

(These are prayers for men when desecration occurs to them in a dream. They are read only with the blessing of the confessor)

When it happens to someone who tempts in a dream according to the devil's action, standing up from the bed, he bows down, saying:

Lord, give me the thought of confessing my sins.

Lord, grant me humility, chastity and obedience.

Lord, grant me patience, generosity and meekness.

Lord, instill in me the root of good, Thy fear in my heart.

Lord, make me love Thee from all my soul and thoughts, and do Thy will in everything.

Lord, protect me from some people, and demons, and passions, and from all other inappropriate things.

Lord, weigh, as you do, as you will, may your will be done and a sinner in me, as you are blessed forever. Amen.

Prayer 5, to the Most Holy Theotokos

My Most Holy Lady Theotokos, by Thy saints and all-powerful entreaties from me, the humble and accursed Thy servant, despondency, oblivion, foolishness, negligence, and all the nasty, crafty and blasphemous thoughts from my cursed, darkened heart and from my darkened mind; and extinguish the flame of my passions, as I am poor and cursed. And save me from many and fierce memories and enterprises, and from all actions of evil freedoms. For you are blessed from all generations, and Your glorious name is glorified forever and ever. Amen.

Then

The most honest cherub and the most glorious without comparison Seraphim, who gave birth to the Word of God without corruption, we magnify the Mother of God.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever and forever and ever. Amen.

Lord have mercy (three times).

Lord bless.

And let go

Lord Jesus Christ, our God, prayers for the sake of Thy Most Pure Mother and all saints, save me a sinner.

Prayer for defilement.

This prayer is for priests, lay people do not need to read it.

What is defilement? Is a person considered defiled after marriage? If not, then I heard that there are still some prohibitions. Why is desecration happening? Is it possible to receive communion if there was desecration at night?

Hieromonk Job (Gumerov) answers:

In modern practice, any outflow that occurs in a dream is called defilement. However, according to church canons, only such an outflow in a dream that had sinful reasons is recognized as defilement (see Canon 1 of St. Athanasius the Great). A person is not considered defiled if he has had a conjugal relationship.

Expirations can be from various reasons. The main one is sensual excitement and carnal thoughts. In addition, it can occur: “1) to judge sincerely, that is, his brother, he is a sinful great; 2) from arrogance and pride, and that is also a sin; 3) from eating and drinking too much; 4) from nature, without movement and without dreaming, pours out, as well as other surplus; 5) from bodily weakness, and some illness; 6) from the envy of demonic "(The prayer rule for those preparing for Holy Communion and daily evening and morning. M., 1893; reprint: M., 1993. S. 137). The reasons that caused the last three cases of expiration are not imputed to a person as a sin. St. Athanasius the Great calls only the outflows caused by sin as defilement. In a letter to the Egyptian ascetic monk Ammun, he writes: “All God's creations are good and pure. For nothing unhelpful or unclean has been created by God's Word. Christ's fragrance of Esma in those who are being saved, according to the apostle (2 Cor. 2:15) ... I am amazed at the trick of the devil, that he, being corruption and destruction, apparently implants thoughts of purity. But what he does is more libel, or temptation. For, as I said, in order to distract the ascetics from the usual and salutary care, and in this, as he thinks, to defeat them, for this he arouses such a rumor that does not bring any benefit to life, but only empty questions and vanity, which he should avoid must. For tell me, beloved and most reverent, that there is a sinful or unclean eruption of any kind, as, for example, if someone wanted to blame the flowing of phlegm from the nostrils and spitting from the mouth ... Still, if according to Divine Scripture we believe that a person is the work of the hands of God, how could a defiled work come about from pure power; and if we are the race of God, according to the Divine Scripture of the Apostolic Acts (17:28), then we have nothing unclean in us. For then only we are defiled when we commit sin, every stench worse. And when some natural involuntary eruption occurs, then we are subjected to this with others, as mentioned above, by natural necessity ... Blessedly, someone can say in this case: a natural eruption will not lead us to punishment. Maybe doctors (yes, they will be convinced, although by external contradictory) in defense of this, they will say that the animal has been given some necessary outcomes for the deposition of excess moisture fed in each of our members, what is the essence of the excess of the head of moisture and moisture, separating from the head, and proceeding from womb, and also this excess in the seminal vessels. So, most God-loving elder, what is the sin before God, when the Lord Himself who created the animal desired and created so that these members would have such outcomes? But it is necessary to prevent the contradictions of the wicked. For they can say: therefore it will not be a sin even to use it when the tools are arranged by the Creator. Let us silence such questions, saying to this: what use are you talking about? about legal? whether about the one that God allowed, saying: “grow and multiply, and replenish the earth” (Gen. 1:28), or about the one that the apostle allowed, saying: “an honest marriage, and a bed not deep” (Heb. 13: 4), or about that which happens between people, but happens in secret and adultery? " (Rules of the Orthodox Church. M., 2001. S. 353-355).

Is it possible to receive communion if there was an outflow in a dream? Saint Timothy of Alexandria (+ 385) gives the following rule: “Question. If a layman who had an unclean dream asks a priest: should he be allowed to receive communion or not? Answer. If he is subject to the lust of his wife, then he should not receive the Holy Communion; if Satan tempts him, so that for this reason he would be alienated from the communion of the Divine Mysteries, then he must commune. For otherwise the tempter will not stop attacking him at the time when he must partake ”(rule 12).

In the "Alphabetical Syntagma" of Matthew Vlastar, the 28th chapter ("K") is devoted to this issue: "St. Dionysius of Alexandria in the 4th canon to those who had an involuntary discharge of seed at night, supplies the judge of this case incorruptible to their own conscience: for if the outflow of the seed happened involuntarily, without any preceding passionate excitement, when nature singled it out as a surplus, then the victim without hindrance, let him proceed to Divine Communion; and if any passionate thought preceded, which, having established itself in the imagination, produced a vision at night, and this was followed by the ejection of the seed, or if this happened as a result of drunkenness and overeating, such is not clean, not because of the ejection of the seed, for the seed is not unclean, as well as the flesh, for which it is a surplus, but because of a bad will, which defiled thought. Therefore, he who doubts this conscience is devoid of boldness; how will one who is disposed in such a manner approach to God, for according to the great Paul: if you doubt it is condemned (Rom. 14:23) ... And the great Basil, in his essay on asceticism, when asked whether he should dare to start communion to the one who had been defiled in a dream, answered that to approach someone in impurity to the holy mysteries - this is such a thing, the Last Judgment for which we also know from the Old Testament; and if there is more sacred here, then, obviously, the apostle will teach us even greater fear, saying: you who are poisonous and drink unworthily, judgment is eaten and drunk (1 Cor. 11:29); and the holy father called uncleanness not the ejection of semen, which, I think [according to the opinion of Zonara, in his interpretation of the Epistle of St. said: everyone like him will look at his wife and so on (Matthew 5: 8), due to which sin is committed in thought through the delight of lust, and thus there is dreamy copulation in a dream and the ejection of semen. "

If the reasons for the expiration were sinful, then you need to read the prayer of St. Basil the Great from defilement (available in the complete Prayer Books) or the "Rule from defilement", which is found in the Canons, and then confess this sin in the sacrament of repentance.

In detail: the rule against defilement for women - from all open sources and from different parts of the world on the site for our dear readers.

Through Baptism into Him, through the Communion to His body and blood, which takes place every week in the temple, we touch the mystery of illumination, prepare our soul, our flesh for a glorious transformation on the day of the General Resurrection.

The life of any Christian consists not only of pleasant and pious actions: reading the Gospel and the Psalter, daily prayer, pilgrimage trips, learning about the lives of saints and miracles. Unfortunately, on the path of life, all believers will face not only ups, but also crushing falls.

What is defilement

Turning to the Heavenly Father, a Christian is sanctified, in other words, he becomes more holy, because he communicates in prayer with the Holy Spirit. And He, as you know, is the Holy Spirit - the third hypostasis of God. When a person makes his spirit similar to the Spirit of God, he also receives divine spiritual joy, illumination, and often even acquires some of the properties God himself- gifts of healing, prophecy, prayer, and so on.

And all this happens through love for one's neighbor and for God, who, as you know, is Love, the highest, ultimate Good. In other words, to be with Him - supreme happiness for every person. When the Father is near, the believer makes fewer mistakes that would grieve his soul and Heavenly Father, introduce disharmony, to a certain extent, the harmony and relationship with God established within a Christian.

The saints become saints because their spiritual world, through exploits and resistance to multiple earthly temptations, has become similar to the angelic one. Such people in Orthodoxy are called "earthly angels and heavenly men." By the way, Basil the Great himself is glorified in the face of saints, who is the author of the prayer rule against desecration.

A person begins to feel good when his innermost world seems to be magnetized to the Creator. Then he begins to acquire the highest good for his soul - the unchanging presence of the Spirit of God on himself.

But then sin entered the life of a person: he decided to do something that goes into unconditional cut with God and the structure of His world. What's going on? Harmony collapses, the spiritual world of the sinner is demagnetized, and the person, despite the fact that he may have received what he wanted, begins to suffer, not receiving any joy or satisfaction.

This happens because he allowed disharmony to enter not only into his spiritual world, but also into his relationship with the Heavenly Father. A person ceases to be that alloy of virtues, which was able to attract a "magnet" - the grace of God, has lost its properties. Man put himself by his sinful act on a par not with the Angels, where he was originally called to be, but with the animals, allowing himself to be spiritually defiled.

Now, in order to regain harmony, his inner dignity and restore interaction with God, he should purify himself.

After all, the Spirit of the Creator does not interact with any filth. In other words, he does not enter into communication with her, does not become even in the slightest degree in common with her.

However, as every Christian knows, there is nothing incorrigible with God. Of course, getting dirty in something disgusting is not part of the category of pleasures. However, if this happened and the filth still touched the soul of a Christian, then the church rules, which were established by the holy fathers long ago, will help to correct the situation. One of these rules is called "the rule against defilement."

Its author is, as already mentioned, St. Basil the Great - one of the main teachers Churches. His advice and precepts have been carried out to this day by Christians and clergy. And during Great Lent, Liturgy is often served according to the order of Basil the Great. Therefore, everyone should heed the advice of this saint.

Description of the rule from desecration

A special sequence of prayers is called the Rule from defilement. It includes the psalms of David, the Hebrew saint, and requests for cleansing and restoration to original dignity. The Rule makes it possible to express regret to the Creator about the deed, recognition of his sinfulness and nature damaged by sin.

The rule from defilement recited by men

Men turn to the rule from defilement when an involuntary ejaculation occurs during sleep. Moreover, it should be started if the indicated event turned out to be arbitrary, in which case the rule will be a prayer against desecration by handiwork. The expiration, which occurred due to illness or because of a marital relationship, should not be considered a desecration, respectively, and there is no need to read the rule.

As a rule, before the text of the rule, the compilers publish a note - a reminder for men, in which cases it is worth turning to this prayer. In addition, it is noted that reading a prayer for defilement in a dream should with the blessing of a priest or spiritual father.

Anti-defilement rule for women

There is no special similar prayer for Christian women. Women are also often visited by night dreams and various bad actions both about sleep and in reality, ending in the same way as an act with a representative of the stronger sex. Yes, often carnal desires and the inability to keep them under control, push people to various actions that drop their spiritual dignity.

However, if a woman is married, then the spouse is her protection from defilement, especially if the marriage is a church one, that is, when the husband and wife got married. If a woman is single, not married, then she should fight with her passions, offer prayer to God, and if there was a temptation, and even more so if she succumbed to it, then it is imperative to bring her repentance, including at confession.

If you correctly lead your inner life, then pretty soon "attacks of the flesh", as the holy fathers call it, diminish and tempted, that is, the person being tested will be able to cope with them much faster and easier.

What can cause a situation when a rule is required

The main provocateurs can be:

  • the skill of overeating (or the sin of gluttony) - in other words, intemperance in eating food, both in its quality and in quantity, becomes a direct cause of the rampage of the flesh, the refusal of its submission to the will of man;
  • a weakness for alcohol - in other words, the voluntary surrender of one's will to uncontrollable passions.

Most likely, it will be necessary to prepare a rule against defilement for everyone who somehow voluntarily gives up their will: drug addicts, gluttons, drunkards, since any clouding of the mind often leads to other sins.

The human body and its sinfulness

People are not always defiled because of their personal choice, this can be influenced by:
  • any accident;
  • forced action;
  • disease;
  • an absolutely natural natural process, with which, even with a volitional effort, a person is not able to do anything.

For example, Christian men are not always able to control the flow of semen at night. At the same time, the desecration is nevertheless "counted" although it is not spiritual, but nevertheless it is bodily. Therefore, they should read the rule. At the same time, there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of here. But it can be a shame for the purest soul, which understands that something is happening to it that should not happen. This is natural. This is because our current bodies are largely identical to the bodies of animals.

And this was not always the case. Many people, including Christians, do not know about it or do not realize it just because they carelessly or infrequently read Holy Scripture (Bible). Or they are not very familiar with Holy Tradition - that part. stories that are passed by word of mouth.

According to ancient texts, before the Fall, man had a body of an absolutely different nature than now. It was loose, less material. It was dominated by spirit, not matter. Thanks to these properties of his material shell, man was able to pass through solid objects, materialize at the speed of thought in the desired place, and so on. Yes, it sounds overwhelming. However, this is so, and this is also the story of the Book of Books - the Bible.

Let's turn to its pages. When the first people sinned, their fateful conversation with God took place for all mankind. By asking leading questions, the Father gave them a chance to repent, admit they were wrong, and take responsibility for their actions. But people, already damaged by the sin that entered their souls along with the fruit forbidden by God from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, refused to repent.

Instead, they only blamed each other for what had happened and ended up with the fact that God himself was to blame for everything. Adam declared to his Creator that Eve brought him the fruits that he had tasted. And the fallen one noticed her, He, God, gave him. It turned out that, it turns out, it is the Creator who is to blame. At the same time, Adam himself, in his personal interpretation of what happened, was just an unhappy and innocent victim.

It is for this reason that the first people lost their heavenly bliss and were, as the Holy Book says, expelled from Paradise. At the same time, before people were left alone on Earth, the Lord "clothed them in leather vestments." It is this remark that is one of the the most important fragments in the history of mankind.

In other words, he condensed the bodies of people to the state of an animal, since the damaged spirit of people, which naturally subjugated the material part to itself, could now pose a danger to humans and could bring it nowhere. Thus, the densification of the bodily composition acted on the one hand as a burden and punishment, and on the other hand as a stopper for Adam and Eve.

In the era of atheism, when absolutely everything connected with God, spiritual life, canons, holy books was perverted, teachers in educational institutions especially ridiculed this place in the Bible. It was interpreted by the teachers in this way: as if He caught several of his creatures - animals - killed them, pulled off the skin and put it on Adam and Eve.

Now, of course, one can only laugh at this, however, through tears. The beautiful Creator, perfect in His love for His creations, who created everything around out of love and for love, unexpectedly acts as almost the first killer to dress up his children in the skins of his other creatures for something.

It goes without saying that this was absolutely not the case. Under the leather vestments, we mean exactly the same condensation of the spiritual bodies of Adam and Eve. Man through new, immeasurably worse bodies, which turned out to be susceptible to illness, death, which can be damaged, to which it is difficult to provide complete comfort due to sensitivity to frost and heat, etc., have also acquired opposite properties instead of immortality, infinity and eternity. Let's name just a few:

  • passion (disposition to various addictions);
  • temporality (susceptibility to time);
  • mortality.

These properties of the imperfect flesh, which we now carry in ourselves as one of the punishments, show us that without the Heavenly Father and His grace, on which He raised this whole world and which is its foundation, only such a terrible life is possible. Human flesh is a bearer of sin, initially a tool crippled by the bearer himself, allowing one to interact with the material world.

Because of this, we sin so often, and at times completely involuntarily. For this reason, defilement has been common and widespread since the Fall. Even so, this state of affairs is not the norm for a person who is essentially an Angel who has material expression and called to an endless life with the Creator in His Kingdom.

A body without sin or defect

In order to regain the former flesh for oneself, one must ... die. Each person must necessarily taste death, experience the "dumping" of his body. It will be destroyed and recreated anew for everyone - both righteous and sinful - before the Last Judgment, during the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, our Savior. This is what every Christian confesses in the Creed to "the tea of the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come."

It is in this general resurrection that we will receive back our immortal bodies- without illness, death and sin, evil thoughts, etc. But everyone's whereabouts - heaven or hell - will depend on the way of life on earth. Then there will be no need for cleansing. In the meantime, prayer from defilement in a dream is simply necessary for us.

Rule from defilement. Prayer for defilement.

It will always happen to someone who tempts in a dream according to the devil's actions. And standing up from the bed, makes obeisances, the verb:

Come, let us worship and fall down on Christ Himself, the Tsar and our God. (Bow)

Paki is busy with a cursed mind and crafty custom, working for sin. Paki is the prince of darkness and passionate sweets, parent, create me captive, and like a humble slave, by desire and desire to work fleshly, compels me. And what I will do, my Lord, to both the Redeemer and the Intercessor, who trust in You, if I do not return to You, I will return and fast, and I will ask for mercy for what I have done; But I am afraid and trembling, but not always confessing, and promising the wicked to retreat, and sinning for every hour: and without giving my prayer to You to my God, I will raise Your longsuffering to indignation. And who will endure Thy wrath, O Lord; Knowing the multitude of Thy compassions, and the abyss of Thy philanthropy, I will revel in Thy mercy, and I cry to Th: forgive those who have sinned, forgive. Have mercy on me fallen, give me a helping hand. immersed in the mud of sweets. Do not forsake, O Lord, your creation to be corrupted by my iniquities and my sins: but with your usual mercy and goodness we compel, deliver from feces and bodily defilement and passionate thoughts that always defile my accursed soul: behold, Lord, as if you see a place, there is no place in pure, but all leprosy, and the whole body is seized with an ulcer. You yourself, loving man, the physician of souls and bodies and a source of mercy, cleanse that of my tears with a stream, pouring these on me abundantly: pour out your love of mankind on me, and grant me healing and purification, and heal my contrition, and do not turn your face away from me. , but not like a thing, fire will burn me of despair: but like you advertise, false God, as great joy happens in heaven about the only sinner who repents, do this on me a sinner too, and do not shut the ears of Thy goodness in the prayer of my repentance; but open them, and like a censer, correct that before You: weigh the weakness of nature to the Creator, and comfort the crawl of youth, and the heaviness of the body, and despise sins, and repentance is acceptable to those who call Thee in truth. As for the blessing and glory of Thy glorious and glorious name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and forever and ever. Amen.

When it happens to someone to be tempted in a dream according to the devil's action, he, rising from his bed, makes obeisances, saying:

God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

God, be merciful to me, a sinner.

It also started as usual.

Then the usual start.

Come, let us worship our Tsar God.

Come, let us worship our King God.

Come, let us worship and fall down on Christ, our King God.

Come, let us worship and fall down to Christ, the King, our God.

Come, let us worship and fall down on Christ Himself, the Tsar and our God.

Come, let us worship and fall down to Christ Himself, our King and our God.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy, and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, cleanse my iniquity. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin; for I know my iniquity, and I will take out my sin before me. You who have sinned, and evil in your sight, have I done, as if you were justified in your words, and conquer always judging you. I will teach wickedness in Your way, and wickedness will turn to You.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, blot out my iniquity; Wash me completely from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. To You, the One, I have sinned and done evil before You, so that you will be justified in Your words and conquer if they enter into judgment with You. For behold, I conceived in iniquity, and my mother bore me in sins. For behold, Thou hast loved the truth, Thy hidden and secret Thy wisdom revealed to me. You will sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; wash me - and I will become whiter than snow, let me hear joy and gladness - humiliated bones will rejoice. Turn Thy face away from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew the Right Spirit within me. Take me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Return to me the joy of Thy salvation and confirm me with the Spirit of the Sovereign. I will teach the wicked your ways, and the wicked will turn to you. Deliver me from the blood, O God, the God of my salvation, my tongue will rejoice in Thy righteousness. Lord, you will open my mouth, and my mouth will declare your praise. For if you had desired the sacrifice, I would have given it - you will not be pleased with the burnt offerings. A sacrifice to God is a contrite spirit; God will not contemplate a contrite and humble heart. Be gracious, O Lord, in Thy good will Zion, and may the walls of Jerusalem be erected, - then you will graciously accept the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and burnt offerings, then they will lay calves on Your altar.

And this troparia, voice 7:

The good shepherd, who laid thy soul for us, / the knowledgeable secret, done by me, / Alone is Bliss, save me with the mind of a deluded one, / and get me out of the wolf, Lamb of God, / and have mercy on me.

And the tropari, voice 7

The good shepherd, who laid down His life for us! / You know the secret that I have done: / One Good, instruct me, with the mind of a lost one, / and pull me out of the wolf, Lamb of God, / and have mercy on me.

With the gloom of sinfulness and the sweets of everyday life we weave / the mind of my accursed soul, gives rise to various passions, / and does not come to the thought of affection. / But harbor, Savior, my humility, / and give me the thought of affection, / and I save before the end, I call out for Thy goodness: / Lord Christ my Savior, / save me desperate and unworthy.

With the darkness of sin and with the pleasures of life intertwining, / the mind of my unfortunate soul gives rise to various passions / and does not come to thoughts of destruction. / But have pity, Savior, over my humiliation, / and give me a thought of contrition, / so that I, being saved, may cry out for Thy mercy before the end: / “Lord, Christ my Savior! / Save me, desperate and unworthy! "

Like one who has fallen into robbers, and is wounded, / tako and I have fallen into many sins, / and there is a soul wounded. / To whom I will resort to the guilty one: / only to You, merciful souls Doctor: / pour out on me, God, your great mercy.

Then: Lord, have mercy (40).

And bows 8, with a prayer: God, be merciful, and forgive me, the prodigal, for Your Holy Name.

And 8 bows, with a prayer: God, be merciful, and forgive me the prodigal for Your Holy Name.

Therefore, a prayer, holy Great Basil.

Paki commas were accursed by the mind and crafty custom, working for sin. Have mercy on me, the fallen one, give me a helping hand, immersed in the mud of sweets. Do not leave, O Lord, your creation to be corrupted by my iniquities and my sins, but with your usual mercy and goodness we compel, deliver from feces and bodily defilement and passionate thoughts that always defile my accursed soul: behold, Lord, there is no place in it. pure, but all leprosy, and the whole body is seized with an ulcer. You yourself, loving man, a doctor of souls and bodies, and a source of mercy, cleanse that of my tears with a stream, pouring out these abundantly on me: pour out your love for mankind on me, and grant me healing and purification, and heal my contrition, and do not turn away your face from me, but not like a thing, fire will shine upon me of despair, but like you advertise, false God, as great joy happens in heaven about the only sinner who repents, do this on me, a sinner, and do not shut the ears of Thy goodness, in the prayer of my repentance , but open them, and, like a censer, correct that before You: weigh the weakness of nature, the Creator, and comfort the crawl of youth, and the heaviness of the body, and despise sins, and repentance accepts those who call Thee in truth. As for the blessing and glory of Thy glorious and glorious name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and forever and ever. Amen.

Then the prayer of St. Basil the Great

Again I was defeated, unhappy, serving sin with my intellect and evil custom. Again, the prince of darkness and passionate delights, the parent made me a prisoner, and as an obedient slave, he forces me to serve his will and the desires of the flesh. And what am I to do, my Lord, both the Redeemer and the Intercessor to those who trust in You, if I do not return to You again, and rebel, and ask for mercy for what I have done? But I fear and tremble that, always confessing, and promising to turn away from evil, but sinning every hour and not fulfilling my vow to Thee, my God, Thy longsuffering does not rise up to indignation. And who can endure Thy wrath, Lord! But knowing Thy great compassion and the abyss of Thy philanthropy, I again entrust myself to Thy mercy and cry out to You: For what have I sinned, forgive! Have mercy on me fallen, give me a helping hand, mired in the mud of pleasure. Do not leave, O Lord, Thy creation to be corrupted by my iniquities and my sins; but with your usual mercy and goodness we urge, deliver from the filth and filth of the body and passionate thoughts that always defile my unfortunate soul. Behold, Lord, as You see, there is no clean place in her, but she is all in leprosy, and an ulcer has covered her whole body. So, Himself, the Lover of Man, the physician of souls and bodies and the source of mercy, cleanse her of my tears with a stream, pouring them out of my eyes abundantly; pour out Thy love for mankind on me, and grant me healing and cleansing, and heal my wound, and do not turn Thy face away from me, so that the fire of despair does not consume me like brushwood. But as You said, false God, that great joy is in heaven about one sinner who repents, so do the same with me, a sinner, and do not shut the ears of Your mercy to the prayer of my repentance, but open them, and direct it before Your face like incense. After all, You, the Creator, know the weakness of nature, and the ease of stumbling in youth, and the heaviness of the body; and Thou hast not looked upon sins, and accept the repentance of those who call upon Thee in truth. For blessed and glorified is Thy venerable and majestic name, Father and Son and Holy Spirit, now and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer to the likeness of St. Basil.

Most merciful, incorruptible, incorruptible, sinless Lord, cleanse me, Your obscene servant, from all filthiness of the flesh and soul, and from my inattention and despondency, the uncleanness that has come to me, with the frost of my iniquity, and manifest me uncleanness, O Lord, for the goodness of Christ and sanctify me by the invasion of Thy Most Holy Spirit: as if, having roused from the darkness of the unclean ghosts of the devil, and all filth, I will be honored with a clear conscience, open my filthy and unclean mouth, and chant Thy all holy name, Father and Son and Holy Spirit, both now and ever centuries. Amen.

Second prayer, also of Saint Basil

Prayer for defilement

O Lord our God, Alone Good and Human-loving, Alone Holy and rest on the saints, Who appeared to your Supreme Apostle Peter in a vision, nothing nasty, or uncleanly minded, created by You for food and for the enjoyment of man, and in Your chosen vessel, by the Apostle Paul, everything is pure pure commandment: You Yourself, Most Holy Lord, by invoking the terrible and most pure Thy name, and by the sign of the Honest and Life-giving Cross, bless and cleanse me, Thy servant (name), defiled from all hostile spirit, from all my dreams and all dreams from all flattery, from all indulgence and from all vanity, and from every ailment, and every idiot, and from every evil devil's evil deed. And now, unworthy of me, Thy servant (name), grant me, according to Thy mercy, to serve Thy most pure Mysteries. O Lord our God, one good and philanthropic, one Holy and resting in the saints! Thou hast revealed to Thy supreme Apostle Peter with a vision that nothing of what Thou hast created for food and pleasure for people should be considered as bad or unclean, and through Thy chosen vessel, the Apostle Paul gave the commandment that for the pure everything is pure: You Yourself, the Most Holy One, calling on the terrible and Thy most pure name, and with the sign of the Holy and Life-giving Cross, bless and cleanse me, Thy servant (name), defiled from every evil spirit, from every dream and poisonous reptile, from every iniquity and from every deception, from every witchcraft and from every vanity, and from every ailment and every disease, and from every hostile villainy of the devil. And now I, an unworthy servant of Thy (name), deign, according to Thy mercy, to serve Thy most pure Mysteries. And first, cleanse my soul and body from all defilement, and let go of every sin, voluntary and involuntary, in which I have sinned all the days of my life, in deed, word and thought, day and night, and until the present hour. And grant me, Lord, to perform this terrible service in the presence of the Heavenly Regiments, and to partake of Thy Most Pure Mysteries, not in judgment, nor in condemnation, but in the forgiveness of sins, and in the coming of the Holy Spirit, and in life in eternal joy, which You have prepared for your true servants. Save me, O Lord Almighty, from all sin and malice, save me to be alien to filth and vice from all leprosy of the hostile devil; and grant me, Lord, to serve You in holiness and righteousness until the last day, and hour, and my end.

The righteous in the Old Testament must adhere to certain rules of purity that ensured them to keep the commandments of God. These are not simple hygienic rules, but ritual ones related to the spiritual health of a person.

After the death of Christ, the righteous of the New Testament were freed from strict observance of the rituals of the Old Testament, but baptized people must still adhere to them, since they help to keep a clean spirit and conscience and grow spiritually.

The prayer rule against defilement was created so that men who violated such a ritual law of purity could ask for forgiveness from the Lord and be cleansed.

David wrote that communication with sinful people, being in a pagan society, makes a person unclean. Moses in his law prescribed certain ritual actions that returned purity to a person.

But today they all boil down to sincere repentance and reading prayer.

The first three reasons are not sinful, since they occur for reasons beyond the control of a person, but all others must be forgiven, like any other offense. It should be noted that the offense is considered more serious if it happened in the case of a clergyman - there are separate prayers of repentance for them.

As you know, men are more prone to carnal thoughts and desires, so this is considered a purely male offense. This often happens in men who live in monastic abodes, since lustful thoughts come especially often during abstinence from sexual intercourse.

Women also have dreams that end, just like men, but for them this is not considered a gross offense. However, for these thoughts one should also ask God for forgiveness and repent.

For men with such a problem, confessors are assigned to read a prayer for the purity of Basil the Great.

Basil the Great's prayer against desecration

Most merciful, incorruptible, imperishable, sinless Lord, cleanse me, Your obscene servant, from all filthiness of the flesh and soul, and from my inattention and despondency, the uncleanness that has come to me, with all my iniquities, and show me immorality, O Lord, for the goodness of Christ. , and sanctify me by the invasion of Thy Most Holy Spirit: as if having awakened * from the darkness of the unclean ghosts of the devil and all filthiness, I will become worthy of a clear conscience, open my filthy and unclean mouth, and chant Thy all holy name, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now , and forever and ever. Amen.

The prayer rule was created by Basil the Great or the Archbishop of Cessaria, who during his lifetime was engaged in the instruction of sinners. His goal was to help monks in monasteries cope with lustful desires that befell them as a result of celibacy.

As you know, men from abstinence can have desires and thoughts that lead to masturbation. To purify themselves, the monks were offered to read prayers and Basil's rule for gaining spiritual purity.

Today, masturbation is common among the laity, so modern theologians distinguish two types of prayer:

Men are advised to consult with their confessor, he can appoint to read Basil's prayer, or the entire rule as a whole. If the deed was done deliberately before Communion, then the man is excommunicated from the Sacrament. In the case of sinning due to illness or in a dream, the Communion can be taken.

The prayer rule is found in the Canons and consists of several prayers to St. Basil, John Chrysostom, the Mother of God, as well as psalms, troparia and dismissal.

Prayer Rule

It is read only with the blessing of the confessor.

Immediately after sleep:

Amen.

Theotokos: Deliver, Mother of God, from the sins that have taken us away: for there is no other hope of faithfulness to the imams, except to You, and from You, the Lord who is born of the Lord.

Then 50 bows to the ground with prayer:

Prayer 1, St. Basil the Great

Paki commas were accursed by the mind and crafty custom, working for sin. Paki is the prince of darkness and passionate sweets, parent, create me captive, and like a humble slave, by desire and desire to work fleshly, compels me. And what I will do, my Lord, both to the Redeemer and the Intercessor to those who trust in You, if I do not return to You and sleep, and ask for mercy for what I have done; But I am afraid and trembling, but not always confessing, and promising the wicked to retreat, and sinning for every hour: and without giving my prayer to You to my God, I will raise Your longsuffering to indignation. And who will endure Thy wrath, O Lord; Knowing the multitude of Thy compassions, and the abyss of Thy philanthropy, I will revel in Thy mercy, and I cry to Th: forgive those who have sinned, forgive. Have mercy on me fallen, give me a helping hand, immersed in the mud of sweets. Do not forsake, O Lord, your creation to be corrupted by my iniquities and my sins: but with your usual mercy and goodness we compel, deliver from feces and bodily defilement and passionate thoughts that always defile my accursed soul: behold, Lord, there is no place in it. pure, but all leprosy, and the whole body is seized with an ulcer. Ubo yourself, Human-loving, physician of souls and bodies and a source of mercy, cleanse that of my tears with a stream, pouring out these abundantly on me: pour out Thy love of mankind on me, and grant me healing and purification, and heal my contrition, and do not turn Thy face away from me. , but not like a thing, fire will burn me of despair: but like you advertise, false God, as great joy happens in heaven about the only sinner who repents, do this on me as a sinner, and do not shut the ears of Thy goodness, in the prayer of my repentance; but open them, and like a censer, correct that before You: weigh the weakness of nature to the Creator, and comfort the crawl of youth, and the heaviness of the body, and despise sins, and repentance is acceptable to those who call Thee in truth. As for the blessing and glory of Thy glorious and glorious name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and forever and ever. Amen.
