QUALIFICATION OF "BOILER OPERATOR"

The qualification level of the "boiler operator" for the maintenance of hot water boilers and auxiliary equipment is determined by the rank of the gas boiler operator. In turn, the discharge depends on the value of the total installed heating capacity of the boiler house:

Qualification of a boiler operator, with a total heating capacity of boilers up to 3.5 MW (up to 3 Gcal / h) , must be at least the 2nd category;

Qualification of a boiler house operator, with a total heating capacity of boilers over 3.5 to 11.6 MW (over 3 to 10 Gcal / h) , must be at least the 3rd category;

Qualification of a boiler house operator, with a total heating capacity of boilers over 11.6 to 23.2 MW (over 10 to 20 Gcal / h) , must be at least the 4th grade;

Qualification of a boiler operator, with a total heating capacity of boilers over 23.2 to 75.6 MW (over 20 to 65 Gcal / h) , must be at least 5th grade;

Regardless of the category, below are the works that must be performed by the boiler operator. The types of work are taken from the Production instructions for boiler operators of the 3rd, 4th category. Here is this, far from complete, list of work performed:
