AUMA electric drive is produced German company"Armaturen Und MaschinenAntriebe" is the world's leading manufacturer of electric drives for automated control pipeline shut-off valves. AUMA electric drives are highly resistant to vibration and voltage surges, have an increased degree of protection IP67, and can operate at critical temperatures from -60 °C to +80 °C. They are also finished with two layers of silver-gray powder coating, the first layer is based on epoxy resin, the second layer is polyurethane based. This coating provides protection of the device from chemicals, high resistance to corrosion and weathering.

AUMA electric drives for Danfoss JiP valves allow for automation of control of shut-off valves in OPEN-CLOSE mode, including automatic control mode. To automate the control of Danfoss shut-off ball valves, two types of AUMA electric actuators are used: part-turn actuators of the SQ series and multi-turn actuators of the SA series. Part-turn actuators SQ are used for ball valves with diameters from 65 mm to 250 mm, and multi-turn actuators SA for ball valves with large diameters from 300 mm to 600 mm. The AUMA electric drive for Danfoss JiP cranes can be supplied either as a basic configuration or complete with an AUMA MATIC AM 01.1 control unit.

Functional purpose and range of products

The ball valve is an alternative to large gate valves designed for use in pipelines household use. In view of design features, the crane has greater reliability, service life and.

The functional task of the crane is to shut off the flow of the medium transported by the pipeline, which is necessary when installing branched pipelines. By installing shut-off valves, you get a system divided into several isolated sections, which greatly simplifies its operation. If necessary, you can block one of the sections by cutting it off from the central contour, which will avoid emergency situation or repair pipes if it occurs.

The Daphnoss product range also includes. The company supplies shut-off valves different types– made of brass, aluminum or plastic. Also, products differ depending on the installation method, according to which threaded, flanged and welded valves are distinguished.

Daphnoss is a Danish company, one of the world's leading manufacturers of sanitary equipment. The company has been present on the domestic market for more than 20 years, during which the quality of its products has been repeatedly confirmed in practice.

Design features of fittings

Cranes from Daphnoss, the most common Jip and FF series, have a similar design. The constituent elements of these products are:

  • housing (metal or plastic);
  • spherical locking element (the ball is made of brass or stainless alloy and is additionally processed diamond polishing, due to which a smooth movement of the valve and the absence of noise of the medium transported through the pipelines are achieved);
  • sealing elements made of rubber or synthetic rubber(EPDM), located on the stem and at the connection points between the valve and the pipes;
  • drive – butterfly handle or classic rotary lever, the valve can also be equipped with an electric drive;
  • a rod connecting the valve to the actuator, and a fixing nut.

The ball valve is used as a... It can operate in three positions - open (the size of the throughput hole is maximum), partially open (if necessary, set a certain throughput of the pipeline) and closed (the shut-off element closes the hole, ensuring complete tightness of the cutoff).

In the Jip and LD series, valve models are presented in two designs - for threaded and flanged connections to a pipeline. For household use it is recommended to use threaded structures, since their installation can be completed in the shortest possible time, without the use of special tools (you only need an adjustable or open-end wrench).

The company sells both full bore and pressure reduction (standard bore) valves. The differences between them are that in full bore fittings the diameter of the through hole is locking element(ball) corresponds to the cross-section of the pipeline. Such designs ensure minimal hydraulic losses of the circulating medium when the shut-off unit is fully open.

In reduction analogues, the shut-off ball has an opening that is one size smaller in diameter than the pipe size. Such structures are installed in domestic pipelines, where partial loss of pressure is not critical.

Overview of the Daphnoss crane range

The Danish company supplies the market with several lines of ball valves, differing design, performance characteristics and price:

  • Dafnoss JIP-FF;
  • Dafnoss LD-FF;
  • Dafnoss Eagle;
  • Dafnoss BVR.

Let's look at each of the varieties in more detail.

Jip-FF series products

The Jip-FF line includes flanged valves, as evidenced by the FF marking. The fittings are intended for installation on pipelines transporting liquid working media - water supply systems, heating systems and industrial lines.

The structures are made in an all-welded metal body made of carbon steel grade ST-37. The technical characteristics of the products are as follows:

  • standard sizes (diameter of pipes on which fittings can be installed) – 15-200 mm;
  • throughput: 12-2300 m 3 /h;
  • nominal operating pressure: 30-40 Bar;
  • temperature range: 0-190 degrees.

The locking mechanism of Jip-FF taps is made of of stainless steel, the unit is equipped with pressure springs that ensure maximum tightness of the flow shutoff.

LD-FF crane series

The LD fittings range is also designed for flange connection, however, the valves have analogues for installation by welding (marked LD-WW) and coupling connection (LD-II).

Unlike the JIP series, LD fittings have a simpler design (no pressure springs) and lower operational capabilities, as evidenced by the technical characteristics of the products:

  • throughput: 10-1700 m 3 /h;
  • nominal operating pressure – up to 30 Bar;
  • operating temperature – up to 150 degrees.

The LD line fittings can be full bore or reduction. PTFE is used as sealing elements, the locking ball is made of stainless steel. Product sizes – 15-200 mm.

Eagle crane series

The most popular series of fittings for domestic use are Eagle taps, made of brass coated with a protective nickel-plated coating. The Eegle line replaces the old generation of Dafnoss Techno A cranes.

Products are produced for pipes diameter 15-100 mm. The technical specifications are as follows:

  • throughput: 16-1350 m 3 /h;
  • working pressure: 15-30 Bar;
  • operating temperature – up to 120 degrees.

The sealing elements of the fittings are made of nitrile (NBR) and fluoroplastic (PTFE), the locking ball is made of chrome-plated brass. Connection to pipelines is carried out using a threaded connection; the thread on the fitting can be internal or external. Eagle valves are also produced, equipped with a pressure stabilization system - an outlet for bleeding air from the pipeline, which is necessary when operating radiator heating systems.

Overall, Danfoss Eaegle series valves are the best option shut-off valves for completing plastic pipelines made of PVC, HDPE, PE, etc.

Motorized valves X3555 and X3888 series

Designed for installation on pipelines transporting water, gas and vaporous substances, the temperature of which does not exceed 80 degrees. Such designs, in comparison with mechanical analogues, have a lower operating pressure - up to 6 bar.

The electric drive housing is protected from moisture according to the IP65 standard. The faucet has a built-in thermal resistance sensor, which signals when the temperature rises above the permissible maximum. The drive is powered from a 230 V electrical network. The design is equipped with redundant manual drive to shut off the water supply in case of emergency.

Electric actuators from Danfoss have four limit switches - you get the opportunity to program 4 positions of the shut-off unit to adjust the required pipeline capacity. The only limitation on the use of such devices is the relatively big size electric drive housing, which does not allow the installation of fittings in pipeline sections located in confined spaces.

Danfoss is one of the most innovative manufacturers in the world plumbing equipment. Today the brand's product list includes about 350 products and solutions for home and industry. One of the most popular products for organizing pipelines is the Danfoss steel ball valve.

Classification of Danfoss steel ball valves

Ball valves are necessary to shut off the flow of the medium flowing through the pipeline or to release the medium from the pipeline during drainage. All Danfoss ball valves are connected to the pipeline using a flange connection on both sides or by welding; a handle is used as an external opening/closing lever.

All Danfoss steel cranes are produced in the JiP line, which is divided into two series: Standard and Premium. In the first case, the taps are designed for a pressure of 16 bar, in the second - over 16 bar.

JiP Standard

JiP Standard are 2 main types of valves with welded or flanged connections. In the first case, the faucet is called JiP Standart FF, in the second - JiP Standart WW. Both solutions can withstand pressures of up to 16 bar, regardless of the flow diameter, which can reach 150 mm. The taps of this series are two-position, because operate in two modes: “open” and “closed”.

JiP Premium

JiP Premium is 6 different modifications of cranes with different drives, which can be either manual (handle with two positions) or geared. Varieties of JiP Premium:

  • JIP/G-FF flange type with gear drive;
  • JIP-FF flange type, manual drive - handle with two positions;
  • JIP-WW for welding, handle with two positions;
  • JIP/G-WW for welding, drive - gearbox;
  • JIP-FF flanged, for drive;
  • JIP-WW flanged, for drive.
