The machine has the following main components: a frame, a support device and a grinding head.

The bed is a box-shaped cast iron, on the upper horizontal plane of which guides for the lower slide are machined. The support device has a lower slide, a longitudinal table and Rotary table. The lower slide moves along the bed guides using a screw and nut when one of the handwheels rotates. The duplication of this handwheel is intended to ensure ease of maintenance of the machine. The longitudinal table moves along the guides of the lower slide, made in the form of rolling guides. Fast movement is carried out by a handle through a rack and pinion wheel and a rack; slow movement is carried out by a handle attached to the body of a planetary mechanism, the gear ratio of which is equal to -m.

To prevent sideways play of the longitudinal table, two ball bearings are mounted on the axes at the ends of the lower slide, which cover the ridge of the longitudinal slide on both sides. To be able to adjust the gap between the flange and the ball-bearing rollers, the bearing axes are fixed in swinging arms and are pressed against the side wall of the flange by springs. On the front wall of the table there is a T-shaped groove for attaching adjustable stops, which serve to limit the longitudinal movement of the table in contact with the stop, fixedly mounted on the lower slide.

The rotary table is centered in the longitudinal table by a trunnion. Corner installation The rotary table is made using a handle, a screw and a nut fixed to the longitudinal table, a bar and a pin installed in the rotary table. The angular displacement is measured on a scale on a bar with a division value corresponding to a taper of 0.01.

In addition, there is a degree scale mounted on the longitudinal table. The turntable is secured in position with a nut. The grinding head assembly consists of an outer sleeve and a column, to the upper plane of which the grinding spindle housing is attached.
