Double-sided tapes. The most convenient and quick way use double-sided tape. When using double-sided tape, you do not need to drill holes either on the sign itself or on the wall, it is very convenient to attach the signs to the door, and you do not need to damage the doors themselves or the office interior in general. It is also convenient to attach signs to shot partitions and doors.

Metal fasteners - distance holders. When attaching a transparent plexiglass sign to a wall (door), the tape is visible, so remote mounts for such signs are the most practical and presentable installation method.

One of the most simple ways fastenings, which can be carried out even by a non-professional. Does not require professional tool and skills. There are restrictions on the weight of the attached product, so this method is most often used indoors and for signs made of plastic or acrylic. It is recommended to use specialized tape.

3. Screws (self-tapping screws)
One of the simplest mounting methods that does not require special skills is used in situations where it is more important to secure the sign securely rather than aesthetically.
Can only be used when framing the sign with Nielsen metal frames. The loops are placed with the eye inward or outward. If you place it with the eye inward, the hinge will be hidden and the sign will be hung on screws screwed into the wall, otherwise the sign will be attached in such a way that it will not be possible to remove it without a special tool.
One of the most aesthetic and reliable ways to attach signs. The sign moves away from the wall by 10-60 mm, depending on the type of holder. It feels like the sign is floating in the air. Holders are selected to match the style, color and material of the sign.
5. Screws with decorative caps
This method of fastening is similar to the previous one. The difference is that the product is attached close to the load-bearing surface. Decorative caps, unlike ordinary screws, look much more impressive.
6. Ceiling hangers
Structurally suspension system consists of 3 parts: a holder that is attached to the sign, a metal cable or fishing line, a holder that is attached to the ceiling.

How to determine the best way fastening volumetric or flat letters? What type of fastener can be used? Which fasteners should be used outdoors and which indoors?
For all types of letters, there are two main ways to attach letters:
- without reference to the mounting surface - close
- with a distance from the mounting surface - at some distance
The mounting surface in this case is the place where the letters (signs) are installed - a wall, substrate, partition, structure.
It must be taken into account that in almost any case the surface, with the exception of glass, will be damaged by fastening elements (screws, pins, tape) and after dismantling the letters it will need to be restored.
Any sign installation work must be carried out in clean room, without a suspension of dust in the air, such as when repair work. This situation is fraught with at least contamination of the sign and, at maximum, poor quality installation of the sign, especially on Double-sided tape.
The choice of fastener type is influenced by several factors:
- Size of sign elements
- Sign location
- Surface type
- Design project requirements
Installation of letters (signs) close to the surface
Installation of letters (sign elements) directly on the surface is usually carried out in two ways: using double-sided tape and using self-tapping screws.
It is more advisable to use double-sided tape indoors (indoor advertising); in outdoor conditions it is better to refuse this option, since the conditions external environment significantly more aggressive than indoor conditions, unless we are talking about rooms with extreme conditions stay.
Although in ordinary office premises You need to pay attention to the possible presence of “aggressive” conditions. For example, temperature changes - location in a draft from the street; heating - location heating device; cooling - location in close proximity to the air conditioner.
From the above list of conditions, we can draw an interesting conclusion: it is advisable to use double-sided tape in conditions and temperatures that are comfortable for humans.)))
Installing letters (signs) on self-tapping screws places virtually no requirements on external and internal conditions. When installing letters on self-tapping screws, the quality of the surface and the design of the letter (sign elements) that allow installation of the self-tapping screw are more important.
There are not many cases where the use of self-tapping screws is impossible, for example, a surface made of glass or expensive stone, and for such surfaces we have a wide variety of types of double-sided tape.
Installation of letters (signs) with reference to the surface
Letters (sign elements) are installed at a distance from the surface in cases where the letters are backlit or it is necessary to give the sign an additional volume effect due to the appearance of a natural shadow.
Sometimes, this installation method is dictated by the surface texture, e.g. decorative plaster or other irregularities.
When installing letters (sign elements), several types of spacer holders are used: plastic spacer holders of the “mushroom” type, threaded and plastic studs, and individually made spacer holders.

This holder has a cap and a leg - hence the name. The leg is screwed to the surface, the cap is glued to the back side of the letter, then both elements are connected using the male-female method (inserted into one another). This kind of distance holder is applicable in letters big size, since the diameter of the head is 17mm, therefore the letter element must be at least 20mm so that the holder is not very noticeable. The size (length) of the “fungus” leg allows a distance from the surface of 7 to 30 mm.
Hairpins
The pins can be installed on both small flat letters and large dimensional letters.
Threaded rods are most often installed on flat letters made of of stainless steel and volumetric letters with backlit lighting.
On flat stainless steel letters, it is necessary to install a nut into which a pin is screwed. As a rule, studs of at least M3 are used, that is, with a diameter of 3 mm, but the size of the edges of the nut is from 7 mm, so the letter element must be at least 8-9 mm.
Installing threaded rods on three-dimensional letters with backlighting is advisable for small letter sizes.
The threaded rod can be open or closed - hidden in a sleeve (hollow cylinder), extending from the back of the letter to the mounting surface. The bushing can be aluminum or plastic, glued or painted desired color, for example, in the color of the wall.
Plastic studs can be installed on flat letters made of plastic and on double-layer letters with a bottom layer of plastic. It is desirable that the thickness of flat plastic letters and the bottom layer in two-layer letters be at least 6 mm. Diameter plastic holder 4mm, so the width of the letter element must be at least 8mm.
All types of remote holders installed on letters (elements of signs) are inserted into pre-prepared holes in the wall (installation surface). The holes are marked according to a specially made template and exactly match the installation location of the remote holders installed on the letters, which guarantees the accuracy of installation of each sign element.
