Metal barbecue in a wooden gazebo. Projects of stone gazebos and DIY construction technology. Working with small stones and pebbles

A gazebo with barbecue transforms the usual process of cooking in your kitchen into the culinary magic of cooking over an open fire. Not many dishes on our menu are as truly loved as kebabs cooked on the grill.

Let's look at how we can make this unforgettable experience more enjoyable for everyone.

Your gazebo with barbecue

DIY brick grill drawing

It may not be obvious, but if you don’t have a barbecue yet, make one. You don’t need any special materials or super skills - a simple drawing of a barbecue, a dozen bricks, an iron rod and a sheet of iron - and you will have an excellent result.

We raise the brickwork to a height of 70-75 cm and lay pieces of an iron rod on the mortar, on which we then place an iron sheet. Raising the masonry higher, we lay ledges for the grill grate in the side walls at 2 different heights.

Your gazebo with barbecue: important details

Today, a gazebo with a barbecue is more than just a place for barbecue. Many of us want to have almost the same amenities that we are used to in our home. In addition to barbecues, gazebos can include smokehouses, spits, braziers, and ovens. From all the variety of existing options, we will choose ours - a practical one, having thought about what we will most often use and how suitable it is for our needs. Often a small gazebo, which has only the essentials, is much more comfortable and functional than a pretentious one, stuffed with a variety of devices.

Add a cooking area next to the grill

If you have a small gazebo with a barbecue, add a table and a sink to it - this will turn your gazebo into a real summer kitchen. For the table, do not forget to provide a well-cleanable tabletop and a small shelf for frequently used kitchen utensils. If possible, place a refrigerator in the gazebo - it will be convenient to store meat and drinks.

Make practical use of the gazebo space

A dining table with benches is a traditional solution for the dining area of a gazebo with a barbecue. But, if you need to save space, make these benches slide under the table, so you will have more space for cooking.

Purity

In terms of materials used, the entire gazebo should be durable, perform well outdoors, and be easy to clean. This means wood, stone and metal treated from rotting.

Don't forget about the cook

There is nothing worse than cooking for the whole company and only hearing peals of laughter behind you. Food preparation and seating areas should flow into one another, on the one hand isolating guests from the hot zone, and on the other hand allowing the cook to become the center of the party. The best way to cope with this is a high bar counter raised from the other edge of the cooking area. After all, watching the chef prepare meat for you on the grill is a great start to any feast.

Stay warm in the gazebo

In cool weather, to retain heat and protect from the wind, you can use special PVC curtains in the gazebo. If purchasing such curtains seems like an unnecessary luxury to you, you can make them yourself. You will need to buy PVC film, cut it to the size of the gazebo openings, edge it with durable fabric and put eyelets along the edges. Using a cord threaded through the eyelets, you can attach the curtain to the gazebo.

Using additional heat sources in the gazebo, such as infrared lamps, is always a good idea. They can be placed near areas of maximum functionality - the dining or cooking area.

If your grill is next to the gazebo, make a canopy over it

If your grill does not have a hood, it should not be placed in the gazebo, but you can place it next to it. Make a canopy for the cook over this grill so that a sudden downpour will not interfere with his work.

Add an outdoor hearth

By installing an open fireplace next to or on the edge of the gazebo, you can cook kulesh in it and get an additional surface for cooking. So, on the main grill you cook meat, and on the hearth you put a grate and cook vegetables. And everything is prepared for you at the same time.

Add a seating area next to the gazebo

This could be just a paved area next to the gazebo, or an additional canopy included in the structure of the gazebo, or just an umbrella over a table on the street.

In cool climates, a separate gazebo can even be a seating area.

Convenient firewood

Make sure there is a convenient place to store firewood near the gazebo. This will save you from going to the other end of the garden for a couple of logs in the dark.

Make an entrance to the cellar from the gazebo

A convenient entrance to the gazebo on one side will save you from the need to install a refrigerator in the gazebo; on the other hand, it will make the entrance to the cellar more harmonious than a lonely mound in a corner of the garden.

Create a special mood with lighting.

The combination of general lighting of the area with the bright illumination of the gazebo will create the right balance between functionality and a harmonious atmosphere. Moreover, the cooking area in the gazebo should be brightly lit, and for the dining and relaxation areas it is better to have adjustable lighting - you must somehow create a special mood!

Gazebo with barbecue. Fire precautions.

All electrical appliances in the gazebo must be grounded. Electrical wiring must be carried out with cable for outdoor work. Wooden structures must be treated with fire-resistant impregnation.

Place the gazebo in a cozy corner of the garden.

While placing a summer kitchen near the house has a number of advantages, there are also advantages to placing a gazebo with a barbecue in the far corner of the summer cottage. Here, along with food cooked over an open fire, you will give yourself a feeling of escape from the everyday hustle and bustle: enjoy the luxurious view and silence of the garden.

Decorate a gazebo with a barbecue

A gazebo with a barbecue in your garden is the ideal place to use your taste in choosing furnishings and decorative elements. And the decor here is not only decorations on the wall, but also curtains, kitchen utensils and flowers on the table. Let the gazebo become your cozy refuge among everyday worries.

Use landscaping elements to highlight the gazebo area in the garden. The architecture of the gazebo itself is an important element of the entire landscape design of the site.
Make interesting additions next to the gazebo to highlight the special significance of this area in the garden. For example, create a kitchen garden with herbs or a large flower garden next to the gazebo.

Simple designs of gazebos with barbecue

Not all of us have access to luxurious gazebos made of Siberian cedar or silver pine. We invite you to get acquainted with simple and functional designs of gazebos with barbecues. Made from ordinary materials, with a clear and simple design, these projects are accessible to any summer resident.

Project 1. Gazebo with barbecue and bathroom

The aroma of meat cooked over a fire will not leave anyone indifferent, which is why more and more owners of country houses are thinking about building a barbecue. Looking at photos of a gazebo with a barbecue in magazines or on specialized websites, it is so difficult to make your choice.

In this article, we will introduce you to the main types of garden houses with barbecues, advise you on how to choose a project and make a construction drawing, as well as build and equip a pavilion with a stove with your own hands. And what homemade gazebos with barbecues can be like, the photo gallery will clearly demonstrate.

How to build a gazebo with a barbecue on your own

If you spend a lot of time outside the city with your family or a group of friends, then a gazebo with a barbecue or barbecue is what you need. This building will not only protect you from bad weather, but will also become a wonderful place to relax and decorate your garden plot.

Determining the type of construction of a gazebo with barbecue and grill

There are many options for building garden houses with barbecues. Most often, open structures (without main walls) are erected for a summer residence, under a canopy roof.

On a note: such buildings create a special feeling of closeness to nature, but they can only be used in the warm season.

Photos of summer gazebos with barbecues, created by yourself

Closed buildings are more versatile. A glazed gazebo with a barbecue can be used even in winter, since it is well protected from the influence of weather factors.

Comfortable and compact Finnish gazebos with barbecues allow you to have a good rest at any time of the year

Materials

Since a barbecue oven involves the use of an open fire, the materials for the construction of such a gazebo must be reliable, resistant to fire and high temperatures.

The most suitable option are brick or stone buildings. These are beautiful centuries-old buildings that are not afraid of wind, rain, or fire.

Please note: gazebos made of brick or stone are reliable and durable, but they are more labor-intensive to construct and cost more than their wooden counterparts.

Garden wooden houses with barbecues (made of timber, logs, boards) are popular. These buildings are lightweight, so they are built on a lightweight foundation. They are also economical since wood is inexpensive.

Advice: There is no need to fear for the safety of such a building; special impregnations are used to protect it from moisture and fire.

Log gazebos with barbecues look very colorful

Metal structures are reliable and durable. A profile pipe or metal corner is used to construct the frame of the gazebo, and polycarbonate and glass inserts are used to decorate the building.

In addition to the barbecue itself, a table with chairs or benches is placed in the gazebo.

Advice: It is necessary that the barbecue in the gazebo be correctly located - it does not take up much space, it is convenient to use, and it is located at a safe distance from the recreation area.

Most often, the barbecue is located in the center of the house, or against the far wall

Step-by-step construction of a garden gazebo with barbecue with your own hands

We are drawing up a project

How to build a gazebo with barbecue? The construction of a building is preceded by drawing up a drawing. At this stage, the dimensions of the house with barbecue are determined. The dimensions of the structure depend on how many people are planned to be placed there and what furniture will be placed. The optimal size of a garden house is 2-3 m in diameter.

Recommendation: If you are unable to draw up a construction plan yourself, you can use ready-made sketches available on specialized websites.

Options for barbecue projects in a gazebo, photo

Wooden houses can be of different designs and styles. Therefore, before you build a gazebo, you should decide what it will look like: it can be a small structure with a brazier and a dining area, an open building for seasonal use, a permanent structure with several zones (for cooking and eating food, rest zone).

Remember: A closed gazebo with barbecue requires the construction of a strong foundation.

Photos of closed gazebos with barbecues made of wood

The standard gazebo design includes a podium, porch, columns, barbecue and cutting table. But you can make your own adjustments to the project so that your building is both beautiful and functional.

Choosing a site for development

After choosing a construction project, you need to decide on the location for construction. It should be located close to the house so that dishes and food can be removed from the kitchen, but not too close so that smoke from the barbecue in the gazebo does not enter the house. For fire safety purposes, there must be free space around the stove (at least 3 m).

Attention: The gazebo with barbecue should be located at a safe distance from power lines, gas pipelines, and trees.

Laying the foundation

A foundation is required for any type of garden house. This is the base of the structure, which gives it additional stability. For a wooden building, it will be enough to lay a columnar foundation.

Materials and tools for work

To build a garden gazebo with barbecue you will need the following materials and tools:

  • durable wood (pine, oak, birch);
  • brick (regular and fireproof);
  • roofing material;
  • concrete, crushed stone;
  • cast iron plate, two steel sheets 5 mm thick, grate, reinforcing rod with a diameter of 30 mm;
  • saw and jigsaw;
  • hammer, nails;
  • chisel;
  • milling cutter;
  • Sander.

Construction

First, holes are dug in the corners and in the center of each long side of the building. Crushed stone is poured into their bottom, and then support pillars are installed and filled with concrete. Their optimal width is 15*15 cm, and their length is about 3 m.

Advice: the lower part of the column, which is to be filled, is pre-treated with bitumen to protect it from moisture.

The foundation must dry for at least 2-3 days. Only after this do they begin to perform the lower trim.

Clearing the site for construction and marking the territory

Important: Before installation, all wooden parts should be impregnated with a moisture-protecting agent.

The floor of the gazebo with barbecue can be poured with concrete or laid with paving slabs. It is better to install a metal plate in the place where the stove will be located.

Selection and installation of barbecue

There are different types of barbecues for garden gazebos: portable, forged stationary... But the most interesting option is a brick stove.

A compact brick oven will last for many years, and the meat cooked in it is incredibly tasty

Construction of a barbecue in a gazebo begins with studying the order. This is a special detailed diagram of the laying of each row of bricks. First, markings are made, and then row after row is laid out sequentially.

Attention: For masonry, fireclay clay or a fire-resistant mixture should be used.

Procedure for building a stove complex with your own hands

After the 6th row, a grate for the stove is laid, after the 8th row, a steel sheet is laid to cover the firewood. After the 11th row, a cast iron stove plate is installed, and after the 23rd row, a steel sheet-floor is installed.

On a note: To form some barbecue elements, the brick must be trimmed. If you soak it in water for 5 minutes before doing this, this will make cutting much easier.

From the 12th row they begin to form a space for the barbecue, the upper part of which will subsequently be decorated with a brick arch. Next, a chimney is formed, which is led out through the roof of the gazebo.

After the structure is erected, metal doors and grilles are installed. This will give the building a complete aesthetic appearance.

Design and decor

After completion of construction, they begin finishing the garden house. An open-type building can be decorated with carved trellises and climbing plants can be planted near it. In a closed structure, the wood is coated with a moisture-proofing compound and then varnished.

Bottom line

A modern gazebo with a barbecue is a great way to relax and enjoy delicious and healthy food cooked over an open fire. This building is also convenient because it protects from rain and wind. By building and arranging a garden house with a barbecue with your own hands, you will get a comfortable place to relax and make your site more attractive.

For most people, a vacation spent in the country brings special satisfaction. And to make your stay at the dacha comfortable and cozy, you should take care of the necessary buildings and communications. For example, a gazebo with a barbecue will allow you, in addition to relaxation, to enjoy delicious food cooked over a fire. If you want to save money, we suggest you familiarize yourself with the technological process of making a gazebo with a barbecue with your own hands.

Initially, it is important to figure out what type of gazebo you need. Such a structure can be closed or open. The structure is made of brick, metal or wood.

For example, a gazebo with a built-in summer barbecue. This design consists of a rack with a roof and a base (this gazebo is considered open). If desired, you can stock up on polycarbonate shields to cover open areas in the gazebo if necessary.

If you are going to use a gazebo with a barbecue in the autumn-winter period, then it is better to build a closed structure with a chimney and ventilation.

Gazebos made of wood look great near a country house or mansion. Among the advantages are the following:

  • perfect appearance;
  • construction of winter and summer gazebos;
  • excellent combination with other buildings;
  • easy accessibility, ease of installation;
  • there is no need to order specialized equipment;
  • saving time.

A wooden structure can provide excellent stability and does not require the construction of a strip foundation, because, as is known, wood has a low specific gravity. With proper care, such gazebos will last a very long time.

Metal structures allow you to show your design skills and bring your imagination to life. Curves, all kinds of shapes and branches - all these solutions can be used in a forged country gazebo. The cost of the finished structure depends on the choice of its design and the complexity of the work performed.

To significantly increase the service life of a forged gazebo, it is necessary to coat it with high-quality powder and alkyd paint.

The elegance of a forged gazebo is truly a decoration in any garden. If your choice falls on this type of construction, then it will become the highlight of your garden. The gazebo and barbecue can be made in the same style, complemented with forged benches and appropriate decorations.

The brick building is highly durable. A gazebo that has been built conscientiously will last for decades. The brick structure is not afraid of sparks coming from the grill. Such structures, with proper care, do not really need repairs. Reliable walls will protect from wind, rain, snow and cold. A brick structure can be either closed or open, or a combined type. The combination of stone and wood is also relevant.

As a rule, the area where the gazebo will be located may be away from the house or bordering on it. But you should not arrange it near your neighbors, since this kind of noise is not always welcome. So, let's look at a step-by-step guide to building a gazebo.

As with any construction project, it is necessary to prepare drawings in order to carry out the work professionally.

  1. Site marking.
  2. Foundation. The type and size of the foundation depends on the massiveness of the building. For wooden buildings, you can use a columnar foundation. The advantage of a slab foundation is its practicality, as it serves as a floor and is used for heavy structures. A strip foundation is a suitable solution in most cases. To build it, a trench is dug in which the formwork is installed, after which a reinforcement frame is laid and concrete is poured. A wooden beam is placed on the base, it is fastened with screws and boards.
  3. Next they make the floor. When a gazebo is built on dry and hard ground, flooring is not necessary. Just fill it with gravel or leave it as is. Paving slabs or boards are laid on the concrete base. If the gazebo is open, then you need to ensure rainwater drainage by providing a sufficient slope of the floor.
  4. The next stage is the construction of walls. You can build lattice walls for the gazebo. But as a rule, walls do not perform a load-bearing function. But maximum attention should be paid to the construction of corner structures, since this is the basis of the entire building, on which the weight of the roof will be supported.
  5. Roof . A common choice is a ridge or inclined single-slope structure (slope 5–10°). The coating material is ondulin, polycarbonate or metal tiles. A decorative gazebo uses a lattice roof into which plants are woven (in rainy weather such a gazebo cannot be used).
  6. Exterior finishing. If the building contains wooden parts, it is important to impregnate them with protective oils (drying oil) and coat them with varnish for external work. As mentioned earlier, metal structures are also coated with special enamels.

A cozy, comfortable and beautiful gazebo is what summer residents try to bring to life when decorating. Everyone decides for themselves how to decorate such a gazebo, but there are still some methods that you need to know. These include furniture, fabric decoration, effective lighting and landscaping.

This may include a beautiful path made of tiles or stones that lead to the exit, as well as steps made of stones (for a gazebo with an elevation). Such a path can be illuminated with solar-powered floor lamps.

Furniture for the gazebo should be made of moisture-resistant, light-weight materials (chairs, benches, tables). You can either buy original and comfortable furniture or make it yourself, using, for example, a pallet (construction pallets). Finished furniture must be protected from moisture and heat by covering it with special paint for external work, choosing the required color.

You can sew curtains, pillows and tablecloths yourself, keeping the products in a certain color and style (such non-natural materials include organza and PVC). It is better to limit yourself to two and sometimes three colors. It is better not to use natural fabric, as it is susceptible to fading, aging and is difficult to wash. Provide holders for curtains, 2-3 curtains on each side of the gazebo. Fasten the curtains to racks, this will help protect them well from gusts of wind.

Place the main light source of the yellow spectrum under the roof. If desired, decorate the overhang on the roof of the gazebo with a decorated garland.

If you do not have skills in working with electricity, then it is better to entrust the installation of wiring to a specialist, which will help you avoid electric shock.

Perennial climbing plants include: climbing roses, ornamental grapes, or ivy. Such plants are planted near supports and walls. They go perfectly together. It is possible to install additional trellises, as they will support your plants outside the building and form aesthetically smooth “walls” of twigs. Large outdoor containers are usually placed at the entrance to the gazebo.

The location of the barbecue is determined at the stage of pouring the foundation. Next, the grill is installed on the already poured slab, the chimney pipe is brought out (there is no need to make a hole in the roof, for this you can use adapters with an inclination angle of 45°).

It is important to separate concepts such as grill, barbecue and barbecue; they should not be confused with each other. The grill has a completely open design, also a tray for coals with a grate, and in a simpler version, a surface for placing skewers. The grill is similar to a barbecue, but has a lid. A barbecue is a complex structure that has a hood and a rear protective wall.

Barbecues are divided into classifications:

  • portable (folding);
  • metal;
  • cast iron;
  • electrical;

A portable or folding barbecue has the shape of a suitcase. The disadvantage of this design is the insufficient strength of the material. It is subject to deformation during temperature changes or various mechanical influences. Therefore, it is better to use coals rather than firewood.

- much more economical, since it can be installed independently. In appearance, it is a rectangular metal box the width of a skewer, there is a stand or legs on the sides, and in the lower part there are perforated holes for air circulation.

A cast iron grill requires less fuel costs and retains heat well in the coals. This option will be the most practical.

An electric grill is suitable for those who do not like the smell of smoke, and who do not enjoy fiddling with coals and firewood.

Stone or stationary barbecues are built into gazebos; it looks especially good if the structure is made of the same materials. The built-in grill can be equipped with small tables with a compartment for storing firewood. Based on the difference in designs, stationary barbecues are divided into barbecue-stove and barbecue-fireplace.

Rules for constructing a barbecue

To know how to make and correctly place a barbecue in a free-standing gazebo, you need to take into account the following rules:

  1. The height of the foundation of the barbecue should be higher than the level of melted spring and rain water (since the mortar for laying the barbecue contains clay and sand, which will suffer due to moisture).
  2. The grill in the gazebo should not come into contact with rain, which means building a gazebo that is large enough in area.
  3. The space around the barbecue should not be filled with a large amount of furniture (this is one of the main fire safety requirements).
  4. In the gazebo, on the side of the barbecue firebox, the unoccupied space should be at least 3 m, and in its remaining parts - 1 m.
  5. It is important to consider the size of the grill. Since the larger the furnace body, the greater the load it will place on the entire structure, thus increasing the wear of the furnace. If there is a need to use different types of equipment, for example, a smokehouse, then they must be removable. Or use several medium-sized ovens in one complex.

Let's take a closer look at how to build a barbecue with your own hands. The place for the grill should be away from sunny and windy sides (otherwise you will have difficulty cooking).

In order for the grill to serve you for many years, you will need to make a high-quality foundation. For example, you can use the following proportions: the rear wall of the foundation is 3 m, the width on the right side is 1.7 m, the width on the left side is 0.65 m, the thickness is 0.5 m;

So, let's look at an example of building a brick grill:

  1. A pit is dug, then formwork is placed on the edges of the pit, then the slab is reinforced and filled with concrete, we level the foundation and wait about two weeks for it to completely dry.
  2. When the time is up and the foundation is dry, construction can begin. Lay the waterproofing under the brick in two layers of roofing felt or other waterproofing material.
  3. Once you have prepared the bricks, you can begin laying (the bricks can be sawn in advance if necessary). Each row is transversely duplicated until the seventh row. After the seventh row, floors are built. We cut the corners to the required sizes and place them on the masonry. Next, lay out the bricks in one layer. The second row must be laid out with bricks, with a heat-resistant clay-fireclay mixture (this will be the bottom of the oven).
  4. Now we are building a brazier and a brick barbecue oven using a clay-fireclay mixture. We build the back wall from brick.
  5. We put a door in the barbecue. Since metal expands very quickly when heated, it is important to leave a small gap between the brickwork and the door frame by placing an asbestos cord. On the right side, in the wall of the barbecue, there is a passage for the brazier, 2 bricks high (this is done for the convenience of removing coals into the brazier). At the same time, the walls for the brazier are being built.
  6. The second row of bricks, on the back of the wall of the brazier, must be moved slightly forward (for skewers). We complete the side and rear walls of the roasting pan at the oven level.
  7. Now we build a chimney, moving the rows inward by no more than a third. Monitor the quality of suture dressing.
  8. On the right side there is a niche where you can put a sink or table.
  9. The hole in the pipe must be covered.

After painstaking work, you need to wait until the masonry dries, and then start preparing aromatic and tasty dishes.

Simple cement will not work, as your grill will simply crumble.

Stone gazebos are one of the most similar architectural structures. Stone buildings are rarely made of small sizes; usually they are massive and large sheds or full-fledged houses.

The idea of a stone gazebo with bar counters

Expensive, but aesthetically pleasing. Stone projects are made to order.

In stores you rarely see ready-made versions of this building material.

Below you will see photographs of gazebos of different types, but made using the same material - natural, artificial or Dagestan stone.

Glazed

There are a huge number of ideas for decorating a gazebo with similar metal. Starting from support posts to decorative metal figures and sophisticated lanterns. In general, it’s very easy to find an idea for design made of steel, however, the beauty will be directly proportional to the price :)

With barbecue

A mandatory attribute of country gatherings is a barbecue. For luxury buildings, special oven complexes are most often made that allow you to cook food in different formats - meat on a barbecue, baking bread in an oven, cooking pilaf in a cauldron, etc.

Initially, it is built from brick, but since we are talking about stone, there are options for finishing it with this particular material. I implemented a similar idea Nikolay Tarasov for yours.

Using stone for construction

Pillars

I liked several options for using stone to build support pillars:

  • Full length paneling.
  • Small trim on the bottom.

Moreover, the second option looks no worse than the first, and in some cases even better. The gazebo acquires aesthetics from different materials and as a result the whole “composition” turns out to be very beautiful. Although for that kind of money it is quite difficult to build something ugly.

Flooring

With the help of a stone you can create a beautiful one that will serve you faithfully for many years. It is placed on top of the concrete screed on an adhesive base. The appearance of the material is very different, so choosing the appropriate option will not be difficult.

As soon as the snow melts and the first grass appears, people begin to make forays into nature. It is convenient to organize traditional picnics with barbecue at the dacha, in a comfortable gazebo. with a barbecue or - a great place to relax in a country area. This structure can be purchased ready-made, or a gazebo with a barbecue can be built with your own hands.

You will learn in detail about how to build a gazebo with a barbecue yourself, choose a barbecue and arrange the room from this article, and our photo gallery will show pictures of the seating area.

Types and features of gazebos with barbecue

The grill is a rectangular metal structure in the shape of a box on four legs. There are barbecues:

  • stationary - massive structures that have a foundation and are made of stone and brick;

  • portable - lightweight mobile structures that can be installed anywhere.

A small portable barbecue allows you to cook barbecue anywhere

Choosing a grill for a gazebo

Even at the design stage, you should decide on the type of barbecue. Exist:

  • compact collapsible structures that quickly unfold and fold into a suitcase;
On a note: These barbecues are cheap, but quickly become deformed from strong heat.

Compact folding grill

  • metal barbecues. These metal structures are lightweight, reliable and durable. The steel walls can withstand high temperatures, so a fire can be lit inside the box;

Types of country gazebos with barbecue

Since when cooking on a grill we are dealing with an open fire, the gazebo must be equipped in a certain way - the fire must be reliably insulated.

There are different designs of gazebos with barbecues: large buildings equipped with a whole complex for cooking, or standard belvederes with a small barbecue. The final choice of one type or another depends on the owner of the site.

As for the material for building such a garden house, the most popular options are and. They are simple and economical to construct.

Wooden structures are beautiful and environmentally friendly. Wood is an inexpensive material that can be easily processed, so you can build a wooden barbecue with your own hands. This building has the following advantages:

  • presentable appearance;
  • speed of construction;
  • low cost;
  • can be installed on a lightweight foundation.

Photos of wooden gazebos with barbecues, built from timber, as well as from logs

Attention: When installing a barbecue in a wooden gazebo, take care of safety measures.

Garden houses made of wood are often made open or semi-open so that smoke can freely escape from the room. But there are also Finnish gazebos, closed wooden houses with a grill in the center. It is located on a stone countertop. To prevent smoke from accumulating in the room, a special grill hood is installed in the gazebo.

A warm gazebo with a barbecue, built using Finnish technology, is ideal for our latitudes

If a wooden structure can be temporary, then a gazebo with a brick barbecue is a permanent structure. The material is not afraid of sparks and coal, and it will last for many years without requiring special care. not only reliable, but also warm.

On a note: although a brick structure is more expensive than a wooden one, it has better performance qualities and can be used even in the winter season.

It is durable and reliable. Stone structures will last for several decades, and they do not require special care.

Please note: both stone and brick buildings are quite heavy, so they require.

The best way to create a reliable and inexpensive gazebo is to use a combination of different materials. This will save money on construction, while improving the performance characteristics of the building. The photo gallery will demonstrate examples of the construction of combined gazebos with barbecues.

Construction technology for a gazebo with barbecue

How to make a garden house with a built-in barbecue area? Consider building with a brick fireplace.

Design

Before starting construction, you should decide on the type of structure. There are:

  • open buildings under a canopy, without any fences;
  • covered gazebos with barbecue facilities - spacious permanent structures similar to a house;
  • combined buildings of a semi-open type.

Winter gazebos with barbecue – warmth and comfort even in cold winter

Advice: You can use a barbecue at any time of the year, but even when choosing an open structure, make sure that there is a roof or canopy over it to protect from wind and rain.

Preparatory work

The holiday home should be located in a comfortable and picturesque location. A flat clearing located in the shade of trees or next to a pond is best suited for these purposes.

Preparation of materials

To build the building you will need:

  • clinker brick for gazebo;
  • fireclay brick (fireproof) for a stove with barbecue;
  • cement mortar;
  • metal plate for the hearth and grates;
  • steel reinforcement;
  • hammer, nails, chisel, shovel, saw, level.

Laying the foundation

For a brick structure you need to lay it. The most suitable option would be a reinforced strip foundation, the size of which depends on the dimensions of the barbecue itself, as well as how many people should fit in the gazebo.
