To be honest, in the first minutes after I read about Magnit’s new loyalty program dedicated to the cartoon Despicable Me 3, I thought: “I wonder who will collect this garbage?” And a few days later I was already exchanging my first cards with the same crazy ADULT minion lovers.
It's impossible not to love minions! I watched the first two parts several times and went to the cinema to see the third. And I’m very glad when, on the wave of popularity of the next part, they burst into our lives. At McDonald's, minions are given out with Happy Meals, Kinder has released a limited series of chocolate eggs with toys from the cartoon, and store shelves are filled with a bunch of "ugly" cookies in elegant packages. Magnit allocated a whole stand of stationery and souvenirs to the minions and launched a promotion with cards.

To play games, it is not necessary to collect a complete collection; you can even play with several cards, including repeating ones.
First game: Silomer
Shuffle the cards and distribute them face down. The first player turns over the top card and names any power indicated there and its quantity. For example, BANANA 2 or UNICORN 1 or ICE RAY 6. The remaining players turn over their top cards and name how many of the same strength are indicated on them. The one with the higher number takes all the open cards and places them at the bottom of his deck. The next player makes his move, and so on, until all the cards are in the hands of one player - the WINNER. If some players have cards of equal strength, they open the next cards and determine the winner among themselves.
Second game: Action
Cards are used instead of dice. The number of dots on the die (it's in the lower right corner of the card) means the number of moves on the field (the field is the card at the end of the album). The cards are shuffled and placed face down, and players take turns picking them up for their turn.
Third game: Slap!
Shlop is played with pictures that are drawn in the lower left corner of the card. We shuffle the deck and distribute it to the players (they should not see their cards). Players take turns revealing the cards face up, placing them in a pile. If the next card contains the same picture as the previous one, you need to quickly cover the stack with your hand and say: “Slap!” Whoever did this first takes the cards.
As you can see, there are only one cards, but there are several ways to entertain a group of children (or even adults).
The album contains many illustrations from the cartoon - the Gru family, the minions, and the heroes of only the third part. As the album progresses, we learn some details about the characters and details of the cartoon itself.
And, of course, the main thing is the fields for filling in with cards. They are double pages with slits at the top and bottom. Cards are inserted easily, do not fall out, but move a little when viewed. I have to correct it like a true perfectionist, damn it))
There are 84 different cards in total, so there are 84 places for them in the album. All are numbered, fields for super-strong cards are highlighted separately.
What is the difference between a super strong card and a simple one?
Firstly, appearance. Superstrong has a holographic (that’s what it’s called) surface, it shines and shimmers in the light. Simple is simpler (sorry for the tautology, but how else can I say it?).
Secondly, super strong should have better performance, but this is not certain. I only have two of these cards in my collection so far. And if in one or two indicators they are superior to the others, then in one or two they are not at all.
Cards are divided into subsections. Some of them are dedicated to family and children, some to minions (dancing, on vacation, or even in prison, as in the photo). There is also a section for Lucy, Gru’s weapons and the villain Balthazar Brake (an unsympathetic character for me; when we came across a toy of this hero in the Happy Mile, I was really upset and was ready to throw him away). But minions rightfully occupy the majority of the collection.
The album contains not only fields for cards, but also just pages with pictures or games. Finding differences among the minions or circling the dots with numbers is good fun for children.
What I like about these little yellow characters, and in the cartoon as a whole - despite the name and some nasty essence of Gru and the minions, these are very kind creatures. And the plots of all three parts are sweet, sometimes even to the point of sentimental tears. I’m not a big fan of such foreign works for children, but at some points I shed a few tears.
How to collect all the minion cards from Magnet?
In general, this is a long and expensive task. According to rough calculations, to get 84 cards, you need to buy goods worth almost 17,000 rubles. But again, some of them will be repetitions anyway, because the cards are given in closed bags. It's impossible to choose.
You can buy products marked with special signs. Also, additional cards are given for purchasing goods from the Minions stand (there, as I already said, there is office and souvenirs). The products at this stand are very inexpensive, you can expand your collection impressively and get your child ready for school/kindergarten at the same time.
But, of course, for complete happiness you will have to look for the same crazy people and negotiate exchanges with them. This way things go faster and more fun. I'm looking for the cards I need in a local group on VK, where they periodically post requests or offers. Magnet knows how to create madness among the population... Either everyone is chasing stickers for knives, or cards)))
The program has only been running for 2 weeks, and I have already collected the first 24 cards (and 2 more repetitions for exchange). I think I’ll manage before the end (September 12)) If I suddenly collect them all, I’ll be sure to supplement the review with a photo of my minion collection))
At the end of the album there is an insert with a playing field for Adventure. I haven't taken it off yet ( the album will not lose its beauty because of this, it comes off neatly along a special line), and I don’t plan to play with cards at all until I collect them completely. The field is quite large, in my photo I have 1/4 of the full size when expanded. The game is standard - fields and inscriptions on some of them “Here go back so many steps”, “And here go forward by so many jumps”.

However, I didn’t notice the ease of collection at all. Here Magnit became insolent at the end. They released 84 cards! Shopping at 800 rubles in the hypermarket you get 4 cards(and this does not include tobacco and alcohol!), and in ordinary Magnets you need to buy at 400 rubles and get 2 cards. The question is, why can’t you also buy 400 rubles in hyper and get 2? Or even buy for 200 rubles and get one? I answer, although everyone already knows the answer, such a move is designed precisely for you to grab unnecessary goods from the shelves in pursuit of these same cardboard boxes. This is how we live, we grab everything and get the coveted bags of cards.
What does this “miracle of Magnet” look like?) Nothing remarkable, really ordinary cardboard! They show strength, endurance and other crap for games.
But there are some really cool cards - shiny. As far as I understand, they are considered the strongest, but I just like them - at least some variety.
Next, you can buy an album to store your cards, which I do not advise you to do. Now it's price 169 rubles, but as practice shows, somewhere by August, it will already cost 69 rubles, that is, a hundred less. In addition, it is made of terribly poor quality - the cells where the cards are inserted quickly tear even among neat children. The only good thing about it is the poster game and the storage box that needs to be assembled. Well, you can color in the album, play with it, but not use it as storage.
How to play Despicable Me 3 cards from Magnit?

We started collecting quite by accident; at Magnit, the cat food we buy usually costs 85 rubles, but here we were lucky - there was a discount and its cost per jar was 52 rubles. There are three hypermarkets in the city, I went to all of them and bought canned goods. This is how we received our first 12 packs. By the way, yes, in order to collect 84 cards, considering that you will never come across a single repeat, you need to buy for 16,800 rubles! And we come across repetitions extremely often, we already have a lot of them, but we are changing, because there are also quite a lot of such crazy collectors. We even sell them already, the starting price was 25 rubles apiece, now it’s 15 rubles. We’ll put together a collection and sell the replays ourselves, I’ll open a business)))
